What Happened To Meghan Markle’S Engagement Ring?

Meghan Markle’s engagement ring, which was one of the most anticipated and widely celebrated pieces of jewellery to emerge in recent years, has been making headlines again. Just a few months after the Duchess of Sussex resumed wearing her three-stone ring, it was noticeably missing during a recent outing with friends. Meghan Markle has adapted the three-stone engagement ring to have a pavé diamond band replacing its original gold band. The original band was made of gold and the ring was created by Prince Harry.

The media has been buzzing with questions about Meghan’s engagement ring, as it has been noticeably absent in recent months. Meghan has provided several explanations for its absence, including claims that it was being repaired, swapped for an eternity band, or having loose stones replaced. There have been multiple theories as to why Meghan removed her ring. A source told Page Six in August 2023 that she took her bauble to the jewelers to receive repairs. When the royal still wasn’t seen without the rock three months later, rumors about a possible redesign started to emerge.

Meghan Markle’s engagement ring holds a cherished memory for Prince William, according to a jewelry expert. Since getting engaged, Meghan has given the ring a few upgrades, including replacing the original gold band with a thin micro-pavé band.

Collins and Sons added small platinum beads inside the band to reduce its diameter. And the best part is… The smaller band lets Kate wear her ring to almost all events. It can be reversed if needed. • She never liked the ring. It creeped me out during the engagement interview how she stared down into her lap while H enthusiastically explained the significance of the ring. Meantime, her head was down and she had that sullen look we know too well. Sulky. I have NEVER known ANY woman not to flash her engagement ring around when she’s engaged, even if she bloody HATES the ring! And here she was literally engaged to a prince. But she never once lifted her hand out of her lap even to look at it herself. It was that “clunk” way she reacts to certain things, when the mask drops and you see this rather scary facial expression that is unguarded just for a split-second. You see her real feelings.

  • I think she does things purposefully to get attention. She calculates everything. I’m sure they are doing analysis to see how many people notice and how many articles and articles about it. Notice all the PR lately which I think is to see how much people are paying attention to prior to relaunching The TIG.

  • It is so disgusting that she re designed her engagement ring, that is such an insulting thing to do to your fiancé/ husband (meaning for anyone to do, not just Megaliar) For a man to design a ring for the love of their life, a symbol of their love for their fiancée to then have their fiancée turn around and re design it just shows that the bling means more then their love, I find it highly insulting and disrespectful!! It’s just another sign of how shallow Meghan is, the only person Meghan loves is Meghan!!! I just can’t believe she resigned it, the original ring was gorgeous!! I think the re designed version is stunning too, but, it’s not the design Harry had had made from his heart, again, so disrespectful to redesign it!!

  • Brittany love, has anyone considered the fact that as he stepped up as the new Prince of Wales, he has had royal duties heaped upon him AND INCREASING daily. He is ONE man and he cannot cut himself up in little pieces to please everyone…he is just one man and like all of us reach that final point, where if he doesn’t get the chance to RELAx for a few weeks, he WILL collapse! Please, everyone, give the guy a break…let him be a loving husband AND father for a little while! Plus he has to deal with the despicable duo in America every day… P.s. I love your website Brittany! You are such a good host…I have learned a lot since I’ve followed you…❤ from a 65 year old woman in Perth Australia…thank you, Marianne…❤

  • For the same reason there are articles and wall to wall articles about the issue…she probably doesn’t wear it so people keep talking about her. Have to get that car chase forgotten. I think William is damned if he does damned if he doesn’t. If he had taken a 40 hour flight roundtrip for a 2 hour game, his critics would still be upset.

  • I’m sorry, Brittany, I disagree with you on this one. He’s trying very hard to raise his children differently. The Prince & Princess Of Wales have a hard rule the children’s school break is sacred. Since they’re raising the future of the monarchy, I feel this is smart. Also, isn’t it hypocritical for him to fly so far, for a few hours? He’s damned if he does or damned if he doesn’t. I feel really bad for him, but I also support him!

  • I land in the camp of letting him have his vacation. Has the Queen of Spain lost a 70+ monarch and dealt with the thousand details involved in the coronation, move, transition, Harry drama over the last year? I’d say that has earned him a vacation. It’s not world war although I think if it wasn’t this exact time, he’d probably be there. He’s always been very vocal and loyal to the team. The sexism talk seems lame to me. I think the team should keep their focus on a win and not all the chatter about whether he should come or not. Yes, under other circumstances where he could also add on some more events (climate impact not relevant if he stays more days and combines visits). But if I were playing, his statements of support, and having him throw my team a giant personal party, win or lose, with time to bring a significant other and actually see them would be better than knowing he was in the stands. JMHO. He can’t win. I hope they do.

  • Agree – you presented a very sensible view. Plus, add a cost of security which would have to be footed by Australian government for what is not strictly official or a state visit. I am an Australian, and while I would like very much for the Waleses to come with an official visit, for this one they can watch at home, together with children and cheer as a family .

  • Another podcast said the Queen took the ring back when they announced they were leaving their royal duties. Supposedly, Diana’s diamonds don’t belong to Harry. It was also Welsh gold that hasn’t been made in 20 years. Only the royals wear Welsh gold. Meghan was seen without her ring leaving the theatre showing that her hand was ringless shortly after their announcement. That is why she had another ring made to show face. Harry’s statement in the Oprah interview was “They know what they have done.” Was that in reference to the ring being taken back by the Queen??

  • When Meghan was removed by order of the Queen from the National Theatre after the South Africa visit, she made sure everyone noticed that she did not have the ring on. Could it have been recalled by the Royal family because it included Diana’s diamonds from the original collection. The ring with pave’ diamonds could have been made to replace the original ring rather than it being a revision of the original.

  • I think William may not be choosing to go because of the carbon footprint he would leave; as a leader in Earthshot he may feel he needs to not only talk the talk- but walk the walk as well. H&M have taken a lot of flack for the do what I say not what I do attitude. I could understand he doesn’t want the same happening to him.

  • Hey Brittany! She’s worse than a two year old wanting attention. Fingers crossed and prayers!! That would be awesome. I saw an article stating the family were spending time together before school starts back. Since the kids started achool they always take the summer to spend with them. They were making changes to make sure they had time with them since Queen Elizabeth didn’t always have time with her kids.

  • We all know that Meghan’s initial plan was to hook William. Harry was very naive thinking that the narcissist would give importance to the sentimental value that those three diamonds represented. So much so that, at the first opportunity, she changed the design of the ring. What she wanted was a huge rock like Kate’s or Eugenie’s to rub in the noses of friends and foes alike. It’s no coincidence that Meghan is always fixing that mess of messy hair with her left hand to show that she has an engagement ring. Meghan really is rude and cruel, even to her husband. I wouldn’t doubt it if she threw the ring in the toilet and flushed it. And I don’t doubt for a second that Harry regrets shouting out the phrase: “What Meghan wants, Meghan will have”. God help the Duke of Montecito’s bank account when the divorce papers are formally filed.

  • I heard the late Queen took her wedding ring, which was made of Welsh gold (so rare now it’s only used for the RF’s special rings.) At the same time she retrieved the engagement ring because the materials also belonged to the RF. I’m not sure how that worked – Brittany just said the stones came from Diana. It’s worth following up on that angle.

  • Please correct me if I’m wrong but the two Diana stones might be classed as being part of the royal collection, still. There may be rules attached to these pieces. Because of the instability of Harry and M the royals have taken the ring back. She hasn’t replaced it with something else from Harry to draw attention to more “cruelty” William may resent his mothers collection being permanently overseas and at risk of vanishing with MM

  • I absolutely couldn’t believe that she would give H such a slap in the face by showing that his choice of ring he designed wasn’t really good enough for her! Also when she left the RF there’s been a story about whether the diamonds were replaced or not by the Queen. I believe the Queen recognised her for what she was and acted accordingly. Such smart decisions made by the Queen to retrieve the diamonds and Welsh gold that came from the RF. THIS person who manipulates everyone so we’re talking about her should face a media blackout IMO for our sanity. This unbelievably untrustworthy woman made the last months of QEII so difficult she should not be mentioned in the media IMO. Her attitude to her awful treasonous husband is despicable. I’m disgusted by the mock curtsy, as were millions of people. Appalling behaviour. What about the children? Should they be with such a narcissist? What do you think? I know what I believe as a parent, grandparent, teacher and educator, and a person who wants the best possible environment for children to grow up in and develop their potential as individuals. William is to be congratulated for following through on his commitment to the environment. Imagine the uproar if he flew here to Australia to see the Lionesses play one game? He commits to what he believes in unlike his brother and SIL, whose carbon footprint is so huge and at odds with their stated values of their promotions. Naturally we’d love to see him here but I think he deserves to have his family time.

  • The problem with the ring was that no matter what, it would never upstage Katherine’s, previously Diana’s, no matter what. Everytime she looks at it, she feels it is inferior even with the upgrading. It is said that the 2 small dimonds were replaced with others not related to Diana and so was the Welch gold wedding ban with a non-Welch gold one.

  • M in Engagement article leaned forward to look at the diamonds of Diana when H mentioned the two smaller diamonds were his mothers. You could tell then her true feelings regarding the ring. It was rude but typical M…It was also here once the ring was on her finger that M true self arrived in the scene & unfolded to this day

  • Maybe it‘s because I‘m from Germany, but until a couple of years ago these kind of engagement rings weren’t a thing. When my parents got engaged they bought their wedding bands and wore them on the left hand until the wedding day and then the ring went on the right hand (where wedding bands are traditionally worn in Germany). When my friends started to get engaged they bought silver bands and wore them on the left hand and the wedding band was gold and worn on the right. But not everyone bought engagement rings so it was not a „must”. Some also used silver bands (on the left) to show that they are in a relationship, but not necessarily engaged. So for me personally the wedding band is the more important one. And I never really understood the fuss about the engagement ring – it’s only the promise to get married. And a lot of engagement rings look unpractical, so I could understand not wearing them the whole time. But it is Meghan so we never know.

  • Having lost a lot of weight myself I know rings can become too loose as a result. However, there are many ways to adjust a ring size so it fits well. If it is a valuable and significant piece of jewelry, as an engagement ring is, you alter it so you can keep wearing it. I would never just stop wearing it! It also speaks to how you feel about your husband. You wear it to show him how much you appreciate his thoughtfulness. So it would appear to me that she doesn’t care about how he feels. Just my opinion.

  • I always had the feeling H’s wife didn’t think the ring was grand enough for her. In the rather poor photos I’ve seen, the 3 carat center stone never looked like the cut, clarity, or “fire” were top notch. If the diamond is of lesser quality and perhaps even has flaws visible to the naked eye, the narcissist would, not only be disappointed, but probably offended that H didn’t spend more, if he “truly loved” her. My narcissist mother was never happy with her ring and bought a bigger & better set of rings herself. Imagine how my dad felt. ☹

  • GOOD LUCK Brittany 🤞 you get some of your requested spits xx I would also like to put forward the fact that the Royals are promoting sustainabiluty & are aware of the cost of luving crisis in this country, so i can definitely see why they wouldn’t go that didtance forsuch a short time there. The whole family need this time just to be together & make fresh holiday memories. Its a case of recharging all their batteries ready for the next round of engagements. xx

  • The security and profile of the Queen of Spain is at a totally different level than prince William’s PLUS as the son of Australia’s head of state there’s an additional constitutional impact if/when William travels to Australia. As an Australian I’m happy for him to watch at home with his children as id prefer my taxes are used for health and aged care, education, etc etc rather than William’s security…

  • 3:10 I was thinking, aside from all these other reasons, he probably can’t go, because the commemoration of Queen Elizabeth’s passing is coming up within 3 weeks, and the responsibility for organizing this event lies with Prince William and Princess Catherine. Surely he doesn’t have time to drop everything and go watch that game. Plus, they must really miss the late Queen around this time with the 1 year anniversary of her death coming up. Cut him some slack. 🙏🏽

  • It wouldn’t take her 8 months to get that thing upgraded if that was what she was doing. She’s doing it to feed into the narrative of their rocky relationship, for attention, and probably to give her husband a complex. It’s a power move for her. I agree with you on that stupid impractical pinky engagement ring lol. I would bang that thing on everything and who the heck wears their expensive jewelry “hiking”?!?! She’s just the worst little parking lot troll.

  • When Diana died, her boys were allowed to choose a piece of her jewelry. Harry chose his Mum’s engagement ring, and William chose the Cartier watch. When William was intending to ask Catherine to marry him, Harry thought that because she would be Queen one day, the ring should go to his brother. Imagine Meghan’s chagrin when she found out that she should be wearing the famous ring. I think that’s why she is no longer wearing the ring Harry designed.

  • The one that was wearing for quite a while had a round smaller stone and had diamond chips around the center diamond. This one showed up sometime after her refusal to meet with the Queen and had the security guys take the ring. There was a change in stones to lesser stones at that time. Especially the 2 smaller ones from Diana’s collection. Since her tiara was paste, why not do the same with the “new” ring. I think the Queen was more on to her shenanigans and knew there at some point the stones would be lost to the Royal collection. And that American Harpie became aware of the Queen’s distrust in her! as more and more people were starting to ask questions about the ring. As for her not even wearing the fake ring. Who knows what dastardly deeds this harpie is up to!! Possibly another reason for her to make the news!! Just as long as people are talking about her!!

  • My theory Chelsy Davy and Me-Gain being jealous! Chelsy owns a successful jewellery business that sources precious stones from all over Africa. What if Harry actually got the ‘Botswana’ Diamond from Chelsy, and after writing Spare Me-Gain has realised that she was Harry’s one true love, and her ever increasing jealousy has now turned to seeing Chelsy every time she sees the ring. ‘He and Me’s’ fairytale romance of taking a trip to Botswana is virtually a carbon copy to the holidays that Harry went on with Chelsy when they were together. I’m most probably completely wrong, however Its very rare that I ever take my Engagement ring off, and mine was bought from a Jewellery shop, so having such an important piece of jewellery designed and handmade for you would have that extra piece of sentimental value, and the only thing that would ever make me question wearing it is if it has negative connotations. One thing would be the ‘main’ stone coming from your husband’s first love and ‘the one that got away’ would certainly do that. X

  • Prince William is the heir to the British throne and so the heir to being King of Australia. Something Queen Letitia doesn’t have to consider. The political atmosphere in Australia is pretty charged at the moment with the upcoming referendum, and the Prime Minister is a strong republican. If William went it would offer the perfect opportunity for political stunts to embarrass him, and even to booing in the stadium in front of an international TV audience. Can you imagine that during “God Save the King”? It could cause an international political incident and completely overshadow the game. What I find depressing is that so many people are so quick to say that PW somehow doesn’t think that the women’s game is as important than the men’s. Few people have been as supportive or done more for the women’s game than William. I don’t believe for a single moment that he hasn’t looked into whether it is at all possible for him to go, but he must abide by the decisions of BP and the UK Government. People are saying if it was the men’s world cup that he’d be there, but I’m not sure that at the moment that’s true. I’d hate for him to feel that he has to resign his chairmanship of the FA because his position as PoW is getting in the way. He’s been such a passionate advocate for the game in all its forms. This isn’t about PR, I’d guess it’s about geopolitics and security, and you’re never going to get a press release about that. There’s a lot of misogyny around the women’s game, but placing it at Prince WIlliam ‘s door is incredibly unfair.

  • “Looking at your engagement ring when you’re not in a good place in your marriage is almost the worst.” She did not even look at her engagement ring DURING THE ENGAGEMENT INTERVIEW. She stared down into her lap as if there was something distasteful there, and as soon as she could, she had it completely made over HER way.

  • Celt Views exposed that Queen Elizabeth made sure that the original Welsh gold ring (with two of Diana’s diamonds) was Replaced with a copy. I’m sure Megsy knows that by now, and she’s aware that many people also are aware of this Fact. Megsy also got duplicates of Diana’s butterfly earrings and when you see the originals compared to the earrings Meg wore, they’re clearly different–similar but definitely different replacement. Queen Elizabeth didn’t want the yacht hustler to have any historical pieces of jewelry. The aquamarine ring that belonged to Diana that Harry gave Meg was Also a copy, Not the original, as clearly shown on Celt Views. Meg’s ring is a square cut and Diana’s ring was a rectangle. The Queen made sure that Meg got copies and that may be why Harry asked for an apology from the royals for “what they’d done”. 😅

  • Here is why you SHOULD CARE about people who don’t NEED Ozempic using it for vanity weight loss: Due to the drastic increase of well-off people using Ozempic for vanity weight loss, it has made the drug intended for diabetics to become scarce and has driven the price UP to the point that most people cannot afford it, causing diabetics to suffer.

  • I haven’t worn my engagement ring in years. It was sized when I was 19, when I was significantly smaller, and no longer fits. It’s also a bit risky to resize again because it was my grandmother’s and has engraving inside it of my grandparents’ initials and the date of their engagement, and I was told that we could lose that if it gets resized again. I still wear my wedding band, which was resized easily, and an anniversary band my husband gave me last year when we renewed our vows (I got him a new ring too, his original broke at the resize point so he wears other rings in its place). While I don’t think this is the same reason as why Meghan isn’t wearing hers, I’m just giving a reason why that could make sense. But the fact that this has been talked about for a while and not addressed by someone, not even an “anonymous friend,” is very questionable to me. I don’t think she ever liked it. If she did, she wouldn’t have altered it later, so I’m guessing the real reason she’s not wearing it is very simple- she just plain doesn’t like it.

  • Brit, I agree with you, I too don’t like pinky rings and it looks awful having this huge diamond on a pinky finger. She probably sold the ring for a lot of money, she would do that. I really think she is as comment below stated not wearing her ring to have people talk about it. It is very tacky that she changed the engagement ring but then again tacky is her middle name.

  • I have a beautiful engagement ring. I stopped wearing it about 3 years into our marriage. Not for any significant reason. I hardly ever wear it tbh. Maybe when we join friends for dinners or special occasions…However, the matching band has never left my finger since THE DAY….Ummmm I think, as many on your thread, it is anything for attention Ms Brittany….absolutely anything!!!!! The issue is: Does H know she has stopped wearing her engagement ring?

  • Loved the article, so interesting. I was wondering if you’d heard about this new book by Geoffrey Munn, who designed jewellery for Princess Margaret, Queen Camilla and QEII, and he apparently also designed the wedding bands for Charles, Camilla and Katherine. It’s called ATouch of Gold and I thought it sounded really fascinating. Love being a member of your website, I’m learning so much. :_BRF:

  • I think she never liked the ring, during engagement photo op, she was kinda embarrassed to show it off (maybe it was too small for her liking), then she did some customisation to it because it was too plain and would only wear it just not to offend Harry. Since now she couldn’t give two flying effs about Harry, she just won’t wear it altogether.

  • I love your programs, Brittany! You’re great! I also follow other websites, such as, Celt Views. She posted a article that included information about the rings and other issues. It was about significant events that occurred right at the time Meghan left UK. I tend to believe her information. When I first read it, I was quite surprised, but it rings true. That may be where people are getting the information. Again, Brittany, I really enjoy your professional, fun, presentations, and reliable information.

  • If she’s sold it, it must mean they’re splitting, maybe Harry has a clause that she has to return any of Diana’s jewellery if they split, so maybe she sold or ‘lost’ it so she doesn’t have to surrender it!! It had Diana’s diamonds in it…. not big enough for MM so she managed to talk Harry into adding a huge African diamond in the centre, and then made up some BS story about it symbolising that was where they ‘fell in love’ 😂😂😂 please!! Don’t make me puke!🤮

  • I believe you guys should not pick over every little detail surrounding Meghan, at least wait to you actually get confirmation of an official split. I personally think the couple not seen holding hands like kids is a bigger story than a ring. The fact that he is doing more things on his own is also very telling. They must have different advisors and there is bad blood settling somewhere.

  • I don’t blame her for changing her ring. To be honest the original is a very standard engagement ring with the diamonds set in claws that way. If Harry designed it, it shows the usual lack of imagination. Also high set diamond rings like that catch on everything and dig into your other fingers when they slide due to being ill fitting like Meghans ring was.

  • Does California law have a mandatory separation period prior to divorce decrees? My theory is they’ve been separated since the Netflix series landed before Christmas and she’s taken the ring off as further proof of separation. Around this Christmas they will formally divorce and say their separation date was last year. The events together have only been for keeping the brand intact for a while.

  • As a Brit I’m so proud of the Lioness’ but I don’t think Prince William should attend the final. The flight, security and cost to the Australian public as well as the fact He’s on holiday and I find it disgusting to suggest that it’s because it’s a women’s game. The fact the Spanish royals are attending should be irrelevant.

  • PW is a busy man. It would look bad if he comes just for a 2 hour match and then turned around. It’s not good use of time when he is having time with his family in Scotland. He can still support from where he is so give him a break. He is criticized for hot coming and criticized for coming. As for the engagement ring, she may have send it to Harry by post as their marriage is over🙄

  • Does not give a good look for the man behind the earthshot prize to end up leaving a huge carbon footprint. Problem is William is dammed if he goes and dammed if he stays. I agree the ring looks tacky after she started playing with it. No a pinky ring is not a English thing, women do not wear a pinky ring, a dress ring but that is not worn on the pinky finger, I thought it was an American male thing.

  • Prince William has already said that he feels if he goes to the football it will detract from the ladies, but he and the Princess of Wales will be hosting a reception for them (win or lose)at either Buckinham Palace or Windsor Castle, when they return. Also the difference that should be considered between the Queen of Spain and the Prince of Wales is that her children are all grown up whereas Williams children are still very young and deserve to have their parents with them in the summer holidays. As for M’s ring…really who cares? She hated it when she got it, she wanted Diana’s ring or if not that then she wanted an Elizabeth Taylor type diamond. She didn’t get either. Now she’s just using is as a headline grabber. Personally I think she probably threw it at Hank and it got lost.

  • “WHERE IS MARKLE’S MISSING ENGAGEMENT RING?” ______________________________________________________ The diamond was probably returned to Queen Elizabeth’s collection, since it was identified by an expert after Markle’s marriage who identified the diamond as one of the Queen’s stones. Markle was told either to return it or go to jail. Who knows what she did with the remaining portion of the ring.

  • Brittney, it was reported the original ring and band was returned to the Queen on the way to Canada on her last visit. It was reported by them changes made which shifted focus off the fact she lost both. Photos time stamped prove the allegation is true. The late Queen had her say….. I’m sure the Welsh gold will be reused.

  • But what about the story from 2020 when QE commanded a meeting and she was told by the Queen to remove them and leave them in the UK. She was photographed both coming out of the Royal theater w it on, went to see QE, and on leaving the palace, her finger was bare-including the welsh gold band. It was speculated she had fakes made.

  • Darling…. I saw an interview with the young lady who embreassed Katherine to take a selfy. She was living in England momentarily to study English. She is from Brazil and I believe that they’re very open over there and love hugs and kisses . That’s how they greed people. Have some mercy for her. She was very spontaneous and genuine give her credit for that.

  • I think she despised the ring Harry designed for her – it was not flashy or showy enough – she couldn’t care less where the diamonds were from she just wanted huge ones and lots of them. How insulting to redesign something someone personally created for you. Just keep that one and then get another one more to your taste if you are as rich as she is. It was such a mean and needlessly insensitive thing to do that says a lot about her character.

  • I think it’s important for the bride to pick her own ring. My husband went looking with me because he wanted me to have what I liked. I had a very sweet friend whose husband picked out her ring, they married and she just really didn’t like the ring. I told her that since he was open to the idea to get the ring styled the way she wanted that she should do it. She was relieved and did it. It’s (traditionally) till death do you part and that’s how my husband and I roll. *Meghan’s done w/Harry. The ring is in a drawer or most likely hocked.

  • Folks, don’t confuse Crown property with personal gifts. If Diana had owned a pair of, say, diamond earrings, given to her as a gift, then those were her personal property, able to be left to her sons, much as she left all of her other property to her sons when she died. It is not automatic that all of Diana’s jewels belong to the Crown. Some items we saw on Diana were wedding gifts. Wedding gifts become the personal property of the recipient. For example, the Saudi government gave her a suite of sapphires when she married Charles. Those belonged to her personally. On the other hand, there are many historic tiaras and items of jewelry that belong to the Crown and revert to the Crown after the death of the user. The George IV Diadem, for example, was worn by QE2 during her lifetime, but could not be given away by her. Long story short, the diamonds in Meghan’s engagement ring were Harry’s to give her. Nothing was “taken back” by the Queen.

  • She has no taste, the ring as Harry designed was simple and elegant. The redone ring is tacky. You cannot throw a bunch of things from top design houses together and have refined look. She seems to think if a designer is good, wearing something from two or more of them is better. She is a genius of making good design look tacky. As Louis Sullivan said, “Less is more.”

  • I hope the UK creates a magic event in every village and town, with big screens and a party. Imagine the Royals cheering in front of Balmoral castel with a big screen, with Prince Philip’s bbq, sausages and beer, wouldn’t that be fun? Imagine little Charlotte cheering on the Lionesses, and George and Louis, and all the other kids having fun? I so hope they do that.

  • I live in South Africa, in the province of KwaZulu-Natal Zulu Natal. I was high jacked outside my house in 2012. My engagement ring, etc was stolen at gunpoint. I’ve never replaced my engagement ring as it has sentimental value and another ring could never replace it. I would personally advise people crazy enough to visit this country to leave all valuables at home. However, if you have the security that the former Royals had while here on South Africa, you could confidently were valuable jewelry. I personally am not offended by M leaving her ring at home if security was her concern. Everyone living in South Africa understands security concerns. We have to, to survive here.

  • I guess she doesn’t wear the ring for 3 reasons. 1). Just to hurt and ‘punish’ Harry. He took the afford to design it for her and was very proud of it. The ring has a special meaning to him because of his late mother. Not wearing it is a disaproval and can be very painfull. Probably he didn’t do well enough for ‘Queen Meagain’ at some point. 2). By taking off the ring, she figuratively cuts H off from his memoires Diana wearing the ring. The ring symbolizes also a connection between the 3 of them. She rules him out of that band by not wearing it but still having the ring and derfor the only one with a deep connection to Diana. (In her sick mind). 3). She enjoys the speculation which comes with it very, very much…👎

  • In my little dream world to believe that Harry took it away from her because he was tired of his design not being up to her standards. He can only look at that insult for so long. Fine- you don’t like the ring? I will take that right back where it came from. But in the end the truth is that Harry doesn’t have the guts to do that, does he? I am curious- what are the chances the royal family would want the ring back? He’s not in the royal family anymore so the jewels don’t belong to him? Even if it was from his mom Dianna’s private collection can William take it because he might want it for his own daughter now? Thank you for listening~~~!!!!!

  • Our Prince of Wales has had a very busy year and he needs a break he also has a much younger family than the Spanish royal family and they need their family holiday too. They can’t travel to every special event so like my football mad 9 year old granddaughter they can support and watch the Lionesses from home and then meet them on their return. Thank you for all your knowledgable and entertaining reports.

  • Never really liked Meghan, but that original design by Harry was, in my opinion, gorgeous. It was timeless, the rocks were big enough to show status, but not too gaudy and new money. It was just such a classic piece. I liked it a lot more than Catherine’s engagement ring. But her redesign just made it stupid. She made the band too thin and it didn’t aesthetically complement the size of the rocks anymore. And that hidden halo was just so tacky, it took away from that timelessness of the original design. I can’t imagine Harry feeling too good about that, especially because he designed it, he didn’t purchase an already made piece. That woman has no respect for even her husband and she didn’t like him then, and doesn’t now. It’s funny how just a seemingly innocent act of redesigning a ring can unveil so much about the dynamic of their relationship. My husband searched for my engagement rings for months. He involved my mother and my sisters and has found a ring with meaning behind it and a story to go with it. I love that ring, and even though design wise it wouldn’t have been my first choice, I love what it represents. Just looking at it makes me understand how much we love each other, and there’s nothing in the world that would make me change even the smallest thing about it.

  • In the redesigned ring the stones seem much less securely attached. There are no visible prongs. I wonder if one of the stones was lost? Perhaps that might be a reason why Meghan stopped wearing it. Given that the stones were Diana’s, they would be irreplaceable. Putting in a new stone would be possible, but wearing it would be a constant reminder of what was lost.

  • She’s hates the ring. She WANTS Catherine’s ring! It’s KILLING her that she is not wearing that ring! And she is also angry that the center stone is not nearly as big as Catherine’s center stone. I think it’s actually a more beautiful ring than Catherine’s. But MM wants to be an A lister in Hollywood. A-listers have GIGANTIC diamonds. I think that she thought Harry would have given her a ring the size of Catherine’s and it’s not even close. It’s not even close to the size of Hollywood A-lister. She despises that ring. She believes she deserves “better”

  • Harry’s design of the ring was simple and absolutely beautiful. Megain changed the ring to over the top, totally surrounded by diamonds, even the band, just too too much. That’s what sometimes happens when someone not used to having money comes into money, they just have to flaunt it. Very tasteless.

  • The most obvious ones are the most likely reasons! As Jack Kerouac once said succinctly, ” First thought, best thought.” Loooove learning a ton about RF generational ownership of Welsh gold! What more can we learn of the history and the dynastic meaning of it all and the back story? Many have mentioned that QEII had diamonds swapped out and not just in reference to the engagement ring…plus who actually wore a replica tiara at which major occasion — including the infamous $32Million wedding?

  • My first thought was, she thrown the ring into the loo, after a row with Haz 😂. Why, to hurt him emotionally. 1, he designed the ring, 2, diamond from Botswana, 3. 2 diamonds of his late mother. How can you hurt a person more, to thrown something emotional away. Or otherwise, perhaps it’s lost by the post office, LOL 😂

  • This is slightly off topic but I’ve always wondered how Meghan must feel about the fact that Harry inherited Diana’s ring for his future wife but instead he gave it to William for Catherine. I mean, can you imagine how obnoxious Meghan would act wearing the single most iconic piece of jewelry Diana ever wore and one of the most famous rings in the world?

  • As a Spaniard, I will add that the Spanish monarchy is in a more delicate situation than the British one also because of historical reasons. There’s a notable fraction of society that would like a republic, since Spain was a republic before fascism and it was the former dictator who passed the head of state title to King Juan Carlos. Therefore some sectors of society consider the origin of the current monarchy to be fascism. Secondly, I didn’t know the queen’s engagement ring was tied to the Noos scandal, but anyways I think engagement rings aren’t as a big deal in Spain as they seem to be in in the Anglosphere.

  • It comes down to her insufferable jealousy regarding Princess Catherine owning Diana’s famous engagement ring. We know the story of how Harry supposedly gave that iconic ring to William for Catherine and we all know how Megain portrayed herself as the second coming of Diana and it eats at her soul to look at a ring on her finger that is not the precious one she covets.

  • ” And he designed, it it’s incredible” oh baloney!!! She’s so full of shite. I don’t think her ego liked when he said the “little diamonds on the sides”. Also if he designed it himself he would have gone to one of the UK British jewellers. I mean the Royal jeweller is Garrard, that’s who designed his mother’s ring, but instead he used American celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz. I think Meghan designed that ring and used Lorraine Schwartz for the clout in Hollywood. Ms Schwartz designed alot of alist rings & the Kardashians rings. I don’t think Harry ever heard of Lorraine Schwartz until he met Meghan.
