Funeral Service for the Queen Elizabeth 11, was absolutely perfect and beautiful. Loved all the chosen hymns. Loved George and Charlotte’s presence. Everyone who was involved in the arrangements, proceedings and participated on the day, congratulations are in order, you all did a marvellous and wonderful job, there was nothing anyone could fault. The sun was shining, a perfect day for a send off fit for the perfect Queen. I watched from Australia on Sky, my late mum passed in June 2018 at age 92, European background and just loved the Queen. As an American, I watched the Queen’s state funeral, not because I’m obsessed with the British royals like some of my countrymen and women, but because I’m a history buff and wanted to see it for the historical value. And I don’t regret it one bit. (I especially appreciated the explicitly Christian nature of it, and it was appropriate given what a dedicated Christian woman Her Majesty was.) When King Charles’ coronation happens I want to watch it for the same reason.

I found it strange that the queens coffin was only shown on tv going down three quarters into the ground, not fully down, then cutting to the bagpipe scene.\r After that no long shots of the coffin or any other shots. Also, relationships between people in the past were less toxic than they are today. While there are fewer wars today than ever, the levels of suspicion and alienation between people are skyrocketing, to the point where people can no longer trust their own family members. As a result, wars between countries are rarer than ever, but divorce rates, domestic violence, and violence in the community, are at an all-time high. Even the internet, which we invented purportedly in order to connect people, is being used to abuse, deceive, and exploit people.

What a beautiful Service for HMT Queen, and seeing the RF family and world leaders come together to pay respect and honor her live is just a moving and incredible thing to witness!
