Whohhooo…I got married in Feb 2018 and even I gifted plants to my friends. Instead of buckets, I picked up ceramic pots of various shapes and sizes and planted ZZ plant in all of them as it is a hardy plant. And I added a handwritten note with the sunlight and water requirements for the plant. Though it was a little bulky package (fitted in a standard size bag), but it was the something I so wanted to do. My friends still send me the updated photos of the plants growth and almost all have survived till now. Many have repotted them to larger pots as well. Your article made me nostalgic about the personal touch and the happiness I saw on my friends’ faces. 🙂

I gifted Planting Kit as a return gift for my Baby Shower. The kit contained perishable Paper potters, soil, seeds and a nice cloth mini tote to pack all of these in. We chose to gift Blue Morning Glory coz we were having a Son. We did not reveal the gender to anyone. The idea was to plant the seeds and when the flowers blossom, the color of the flowers will reveal the gender. 🙂

This is simply beautiful.. Really appreciate you.. I think our Indian people really need to get rid of that extravagance we put into our family functions especially weddings.. too much money to make those relatives happy.. and then too much drama afterwards cz they dont like your materialistic gifts..all those blankets, jewellery and so on..Giving plants as a present is such a refreshing idea especially for our indian society.. its so placid to see that you are giving or you are given a little piece of nature to care for ..which is actually good for the planet too.. no show off nothing ..just promoting love for nature
