Why is bridesmaids rated 18?

The characters in BRIDESMAIDS are well developed, but there’s a lot of crude language. The movie is too long. Kristen Wiig is funny when she loses it, but the crude parts in Bridesmaids ruin the movie. BRIDESMAIDS doesn’t understand the biblical, godly foundations of marriage and family.

Content: (RoRo, Pa, LLL, V, SS, N, AA, DD, MM) Romantic worldview with pagan elements; 79 obscenities, five strong profanities, and 12 light profanities; vomiting scene and implied diarrhea in middle of street and in sink when women get food poisoning; light comic violence includes angry vandalism, character tackled, and pushing. The film shows a lot of sexual content, including fornication, sexual comments, and references. It also shows upper male nudity, a woman in a bra, and female cleavage. It shows alcohol use and drunkenness, smoking, and a woman mixing a drug with alcohol to get over air sickness. It also shows jealousy, resentment, vandalism, and uncontrolled anger. Bridesmaids is a raunchy comedy with a sweet romance. It should have stayed sweet because when it’s clean, it’s very funny and has good writing and character development.

Why is thirteen rated 18?

Characters use strong language a lot. Teenagers do bad things like smoke, take drugs, steal, lie, and pierce their tongues and belly buttons. They have casual sex. Adults also abuse substances and act out. A lot or a little? What you will and won’t find in this movie. The two worst years of a woman’s life are the year she is 13 and the year her daughter is. In Thirteen, 7th grader Tracy (Evan Rachel Wood) wants to be accepted, cool, and numb some of the pain of growing up. Tracy lives with her brother Mason and their mother Mel, a recovering alcoholic who supports the family. On the first day of 7th grade, some kids really hit puberty over the summer. Just as everyone is at their most clumsy, insecure, and vulnerable, those sure and golden kids arrive at the destination while everyone else is still trying to find the map. For Tracy, it’s Evie (co-screenwriter Nikki Reed), who seems to have everything. So when Evie introduces her to drugs, shoplifting, body piercing, lying, and sex, it seems a small price to pay for feeling accepted.

Families can talk about how easy it was for Tracy to give up everything she had learned. Why was Evie’s friendship so important to her? Why was Tracy important to Evie?

Does the Father of the Bride kiss the bride?

Give the bride away at the altar. In some Western and Christian ceremonies, the officiant may ask, “Who presents this woman to be married?” Discuss your response with the bride ahead of time. You can say “I do,” “her mother and I do,” “her family and I do,” or “she presents herself, with her family’s blessing.” After you respond, hug and kiss your daughter, and also greet her partner.

Toast. Before dinner, the host will welcome guests and thank them for coming. If you want, you can also give a toast to the newly married couple. If the couple is hosting, you will likely give a speech after the first course of dinner. Your toast should be personal, but Wooten has a few general tips: “Practice your toast because you’ll be emotional.” Keep it positive and be mindful of jokes, especially at a multicultural wedding.

Are there any inappropriate scenes in Father of the Bride?

CSMs missed that there are several sexual references. The parents talk about doing it in every room of your parents’ house when they were younger. There’s a condom gag reference, and two scenes of deep kissing. CSM gets it right. I think it’s suitable for ages 10 and up. Steve Martin has made movies that are not suitable for kids. This one is not entirely clean, but if you want a Martin film for the whole family, this and its sequel are fine. The sequel is a little more adult than the first one, but it’s still suitable for the whole family. There are a few quick sexual references. The parents talk about having sex when they were younger, but it’s not very clear. Martin gets worried when his daughter’s fiancé touches her leg, but it’s not very suggestive. You might need to explain it to kids, but the movie isn’t harmful or offensive. There’s a condom reference, but Martin’s wife and daughter scold him for saying it. Kids will likely understand it’s inappropriate and not to repeat it. There’s no language.Martin Shorts’ character and his business assistant are gay, but it’s never said directly. The characters have many other funny quirks, so it’s not inappropriate for preteens. Overall, one of Martin’s cleaner movies. A couple of things are inappropriate, but it’s typical PG-rated family fare. It may even be cleaner than other PG family comedies. This movie is very wholesome. No sexual content. The only two things are a mention of a condom and some kissing between the engaged couple. People dress modestly, which is rare these days. Be careful! This movie is stressful for people like me who worry about money. I say this humorously, but I could not get over the dad’s anxiety over the wedding and other things. Watch it. You might like it.

Is Father of the Bride a funny movie?

I saw Father of the Bride on TV a few years ago, but I never finished it. It’s sad. I’m a Steve Martin fan, but I never finished this movie. It’s a classic and a good family film. I rented Father of the Bride the other day. I love this movie. It’s a good, entertaining movie. Steve Martin is a great overprotective dad. He drives his daughter crazy, but you love him for being so protective. Father of the Bride is a great comedy with a sweet story and lovable characters. Before Meet the Parents, there was Father of the Bride. George has a good life: a good job, a nice home, a beautiful wife, and two loving kids. One of them is his daughter, who just got her master’s in architecture in Rome and is getting married to a man she met there, Bryan. George is upset because his daughter is getting married and he isn’t the main guy in her life. George has to deal with the wedding planner, Franck Eggelhoffer, who wants to break up his daughter and her fiancé, and Bryan’s rich parents. Father of the Bride is a good movie. It’s funny and makes you feel good. Steve Martin made George a lovable character, even though he’s trying to break up his daughter and her fiancé. You could understand why through his narration and the way he talks. Every dad could relate. Martin Short as Franck Eggelhoffer is overdone but still funny. Father of the Bride is a fun movie that anyone can enjoy. It makes you laugh and maybe even cry.

Is Father of the Bride 2 kid friendly?

The movie is great, even though it’s rated PG-13. If you’re watching with kids, skip the kitchen scene with George and Nina. There are a few sexual moments, but younger children won’t understand or care. Older kids will understand the movie better. George gets his hair colored, and someone says the “b” word about it. The labor scene could be upsetting for younger children. One character has a C-section, but it’s not shown. You’re good to go at age 10, but it depends on the kid. I saw it when I was 8 and it was fine! My parents skipped the kitchen scene. It’s a funny, predictable family film.

Much more inappropriate than the original. Mom and Dad are on the floor in the kitchen. Mom finds out she’s pregnant. They say it’s been months since they had sex. The topic of sex is brought up often, but the word is never used. I watched this with my 11-year-old sister, who’s never seen it, and almost had to turn it off. It’s awkward to watch as a family, especially with a sister who didn’t know what sex was. I think it’s a waste of time. The original is better.

Is Father of the Bride appropriate for an 8 year old?

There are a few sexual references and characters drink alcohol, but they aren’t shown drunk. It’s a fun, lighthearted comedy for kids and adults.

A Lot or a Little? What you will and won’t find in this movie. I liked this movie when I was a kid and wanted to share it with my kids. I didn’t remember anything wrong with it, so we checked Common Sense Media. We decided to watch the movie after seeing the rating and that there were no sex or language issues. We were surprised when a couple mature jokes were spoken. I wish there was a warning when we checked CommonSenseMedia.org before watching with our kids. CSMs missed that there are several sexual references. The parents talk about having sex in every room of your parents’ house when they were younger. There’s a condom gag, and two scenes of deep kissing.

Is daughter of the Bride rated PG-13?

Is it for families? It was rated TV-14 and may have been edited for TV. In the first scene, Kate is in bed with a man. Kate is naked later, but it’s not sexual. At least on Fox, we didn’t see anything. It’s not too dirty for kids, but there are a few flashbacks with kids.

I said straight men hate romcoms. I love them, but it’s hard to find and watch movies online. I’ve avoided spending money or doing anything online rather than on cable or antenna TV. I have cable for the broadcast channels, but I can’t depend on them when everything is digital. I don’t spend extra for channels I can watch in a motel. I’ve been waiting for a movie like this for a long time. I was happy. 5 out of 8 found this helpful. Was this review helpful? Sign in to vote. Permalink.
