Why do they call it tea length?

A tea-length dress is a knee-length dress. It was popular in the 1920s and is now a great evening alternative to a floor-length gown. I think Drew Barrymore was going for that look, but Carey Mulligan nailed it in this Vionnet dress a few weeks ago. She wore nude shoes, which make your legs look longer. The low-cut neckline balances out the extra material at the bottom of the dress. This look is best for evening. It’s my new favorite bridesmaid dress hemline!

FLOOR LENGTH: Save floor-length gowns for special occasions like black tie galas, weddings, and the Oscars. Many women wore short hemlines to this year’s Met Gala. Floor-sweeping gowns seem dated unless it’s an important event. The fabric should touch the floor (Lindsay Price got it right in this red Valentino) or leave a train behind you (like Hilary Swank in this Vionnet number). If you don’t go to the tailor, it will look like you forgot. Girls, here’s the deal: Everything you ever wanted to know about hemlines. Let’s talk! Which do you wear most often? • The team on SYTTD Ireland are so lovely and the fact that Franc is all about making the bride reflect her own personality, enhancing all her features including tattoos, and just being all about their own kind of beauty is just so great. He celebrates them and doesn’t force anyone into being something they are not. Plus, that frog brooch 💜

  • There are some people in this world who just become more and more attractive as you get to know them, because of their wonderful personalities, and this lady falls into this category! She’s super cute, with a lovely family. I really like her style. Absolutely loved the first dress, and the second dress was gorgeous too (although you could completely see she wasn’t comfortable in it). Quite frankly she rocked them all! Also love that her fiance gave Poppy a ring first. That is so sweet. Men who do cute little gestures like that are just the best! <3

  • What a lovely family ! Also, this shop is wonderful I especially love how they treatt their customers…very refreshing. I used to love all of the Say Yes @ Kleinfeldt‘s but over the years they seem to have moved away from every day brides and only showcase and cater to brides with unlimited budgets- even my love, Randy, has gotten a little snooty. It’s brilliant to see a shop that fully puts the bride first.

  • I love the tea length. I remember some years ago seeing a article of a bride with a tea length wedding dress and she had multi-colored petticoats under it and wore red shoes. Lovely. I think they had a beach wedding. But it is the one wedding dress that sticks in my memory after all these years. Congratulations and may you all live happily ever after… ❤️❤️❤️ It was so nice to see a family actually agreeing with her choice. ❤️❤️❤️

  • Yes, I’m really curious to know if the Irish bride will choose a teal tea length😅 no i’m not irish, not even same continent, no I’m not getting married soon, no im not crazy about teal, no I’m not here to see perfect women with perfect body, i just love to watch some other real woman in this planet find her perfect dress and want to feel happy with her 😁😅 yes im happy to be a woman 🥰

  • Those shoes were adorable. I hope she wears those for the wedding. It would be great if she could get the bridesmaids dresses in that blue that she tried on – especially for Poppy if she likes it and Ann Marie wants to include her more in the decisions – Poppy would then be wearing something very special that looks like a wedding dress that her mom tried on that she liked (which also seems to have matched those shoes! Hence why to keep them, in addition to them looking awesome with the real wedding dress that Ann Marie will be wearing.)

  • Nice & charming family but to me, tattoos are body graffiti. The first two dresses were lovely. The 3rd dress looked like she was going to a 1950’s sock hop. The dress she chose didnt suit her the best. I cant believe the so-called veil they put on her head. Are they kidding? It looked like a snip of a dog’s tail. But a real nice family and a sweet daughter. The consultants were good too.
