Point #4 : Average Cost of Divorce in US ~ $15,000, I wish! That’s only attorney fees, court cost, and other “related cost”. In my case, I lost my home (which I bought prior to marriage), I lost most of my control of our children (I had virtually, had, “no say”), 58% of my pension (including the part I put in prior to getting married). And these are just the main points! All-in-all, my divorce in 2001 cost me between $350,000 – $400,000, that’s a lot more than $15,000
Current divorce rates are 60% not 41%. Latest CDC data reports a 6.0 per 1000 people marriage rate & a 2.5 per 1000 divorce rate in 2021. Which is a 41.66% divorce rate. However mysteriously California, Indiana, Hawaii, Minnesota & New Mexico do not report their divorce rate to the Federal government yet they report their marriage rate. You can see this if you look up “CDC divorce rates by state”. These states all have divorce rates which are easily reseachable & very high, the highest in the nation. If we look up the divorce rates for these states then do the math ourselves & add the unreported states numbers to the CDC’s data the CDC’s national divorce rate changes to 3.6 with again a 6.0 marriage rate which is a 59.7% divorce rate.
Marriage rates have plummeted, and for good reasons. Many states don’t report divorce statistics like California, I believe. They say “the rate” is dropping, but if you add in all the people who divorced in their first marriage, I suspect the total rate is well above 50%. It is the single riskiest decision a person can make.
Hello there I just came across your website and to be honest I didn’t know that there was anything like this out there. I agree with what you say. I’ve always said that divorce is an industry and cerious what your thoughts are on that. I won’t get into detail but in my case I started a job of a lifetime but it was to far to commute so the plan was to leave home early Monday and stay closer to work ( which just happened to be at my Mother’s place) and return home Friday after work. It all sounded great we were excited because ya we had bumps in the road just like every other couple. In a nutshell that Monday morning 3 and a half years later I still only have the clothes I brought with me for the week. I went and got a lawyer and spent thousands and nothing so I just recently folded, the white flag however you want to say it. So ya that’s is my reasons for saying that divorce is an industry. Side note I call myself nvragn which is “Never Again”. Ty for putting this type of content out there. 👍🇨🇦
Here is a few other things nobody wants to tell you about divorce. 1) the judge decides the value of the house and what the mans equity share is. It might be zero. Even if he paid for it all. 2) the lawyers can take their money from your home equity. 3) the judge signs your name on the quick claim deed when they give her the house. She also gets the furniture, tv, appliances, tractor and the dog. It all goes with the house. The man cant use any of it anyway because he is now homless. 4) the children become the property if the state. The state decides if and when you see them. The man has no documented rights to them. A man getting married today is almost financial suicide. 5) the state will make you purchase a life insurance policy for you ex wife in case you kill yourself. The state knows you might and she needs your money dead or alive. Better to just not sign any contract with the state and stay single.
Wouldn’t it be easier to make it much harder to get married in the first place? Clearly a majority of people are not equipped to be in something as serious as marriage. The penalties of getting out of a marriage should be about the same to enter into one. I would start by requiring a pre nuptial agreement so both sides understand what they are getting into prior to the marriage. Any changes, children, major purchase…and so on would require an update. Second thing I would do is set a term on the marriage. For example the license is good for 5 years. If at the end of the term either side can go down to the courthouse, file the paperwork and the contract of marriage is ended. No lawyers, no court costs, just follow the prenuptial agreement. If both sides want to continue, another post nuptial agreement is required. The last thing I would require is no one is allowed to divorce more than twice. If anyone does, he is clearly not fit for that kind of relationship. This will require someone who has divorced to be very careful about who he chooses if he wants to remarry. Marriage is now a business. It should be treated as such without severely penalizing one side of it ends.
Hi! Nice and juicy content for the red pill community. I have a question however 7… 65 percent of the women receive no child support at all. Is that because it was a childless marriage or is it because parents decide to financially settle themselves? Because I can imagine settling yourselves is cheaper than getting the government involved. TY!
Interesting stat’s. How do they explain the disparity between men and women, are same sex marriages included or polygamous marriage? Usually a divorce between a man and a woman would give you a precisely equal rate of divorce, anything else shows that the figures are unreliable, if there’s no other explanation.
The most stupid thing I always hear is …. “yeah we figured out we weren’t compatible”. And here is my rebutal that’s so straight foward it may equally sound stupid in the way of its straight forwardness ….. “So, what, you got married during the honeymoon phase of dating like within 3 or 6 months and never went through the phases for 2 or 3 years first to overcome different personalities to learn to compromise and/or change for the better for a higher cause then after that do the move in together then do another 2 years together living together to do more changes for the better then finally decide if you’re marriage material? Then what I get every time is silence. During a divorce, neither parties can ever take accountability and its a shit show to watch as I feel bad for the attornies present. But as it takes two to break it, however, the proof is equally in the pudding as well as with women filing for divorce 70% of the time. When two people stop living with gratitude and continuously evolve to maintain a relationship or marriage, it always ends and instead of just saying: “I really fucked up. How can I fix this?” The finger pointing begins. People who divorce once will have their second marriage ending in a divorce as well. But lets rewind, kids who come from divorced families will equally end up in a divorce or divorces because the parents have already failed to show their kids what a healthy and loving marriage is supposed to look like so they will follow their parents’ footsteps.
The people on the site at the same live together that’s terrible. Terrible advice. If you want to live a biblical marriage, and those are the ones that tent left my experience i.e. happily married for 33 years you don’t live together the couples I know that live together to get married get divorced even quicker this is terrible advice. Don’t live together you don’t need this child. If it’s a true marriage, you don’t need this I would never live together with anybody. In fact, I told my husband if you want me you have to marry me and we did.
I’m 36 years old, raised by divorced parents in a brutal divorce that lasted 7 years and the visitation schedule, etc. I have never been married and have no plan to. I also don’t want to have children either, joining many women my age whom are childless. Thanks Gen X, you killed the family unit. Congrats.
Biggest contributor of divorce is getting married too young. All of us struggle with just being ourselves and learning from our mistakes. Now add to that a relationship where you’re also trying to figure out your partner and how to coexist. Then add a child to the mix when you are still struggling to adapt to the previous issues and you have a divorce because it’s simply an easier path to simply quit than stick with it. Don’t get married before 25 typically. This will give both of you time to grow up. Live together for at least a year before marriage which will allow a slow learning process of coexisting before jumping into a long mortgage or child commitment. Once you marry, talk and be open and honest. ‘Love at first sight’ is merely infatuation. Real love is both a daily choice AND an emotional bond. Sometimes you WILL not like one another. If both choose to stay the course you will make it. It’s very hard but not difficult. The formula is simple. Following it is hard.
Statistics: “65% ~2/3 divorced women couldn’t get any child support at all from ex-husband after the divorce”…🤔…where are those responsible masculine ex-husband who are moaning how much they love their children ? 2/3 of those divorced men ran away from their children quickly and totally neglected them. Then, don’t act as if you guys are innocent. 😢
