What indicates bad marriage in astrology?
The 7th house is about marriage. Astrologically, these problems are caused by malefic planets or their positions in our birth charts. The 2nd, 8th, and 12th houses affect our marriage. Late marriage is controlled by Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, Mars, and the Sun. Saturn and Rahu are the main factors, while the Sun is a secondary one. If Saturn is in the 7th house, it can ruin a marriage. The native is reluctant to marry or only wants to marry later in life. Saturn makes it hard for the native to see the value of marriage until they’ve faced many challenges in other areas of life.
The lagna or ascendant is the first contact between the soul and life on earth. The Ascendant is the degree of the sign and constellation rising on the eastern horizon at the time of birth. The opposite is the 7th house. The Sun is stronger in the east and weaker in the west. If the Sun is in the 7th house, it can cause the native to marry late or be very choosy. But the Sun alone isn’t powerful enough. If the Sun is combined with Saturn or Mars, it can cause a late marriage. Here are a few things that can cause trouble in marriage.
How to check promise of marriage in astrology?
2a: If Jupiter and Saturn are related to Venus in the male chart, it means marriage. If only Jupiter is related to Venus, it’s a timely marriage. If only Saturn is related to Venus, it’s a late marriage. In the female chart, when Jupiter and Saturn are related to Mars, it’s a 100% promise of marriage. All other parameters remain the same for timely and late marriage. Instead of Venus, Mars will be seen. Jupiter and Saturn on the 7th house or lord of the 7th house gives more accuracy to the readings.
Which chart is most important in astrology for marriage?
The 7th house and the Lord of the 7th house are important for marriage predictions. We must examine the 7th house of the main birth chart and the 7th house of the Navamsa Kundali. The Arudha pada of the 7th house shows all kinds of physical relationships in Kundali. Check these houses when predicting a husband or wife from the Navamsa Kundali. The most important chart for a career is the D10 chart. We should also look at the D1 chart. The Navamsa chart can be used to analyze our lives. It affects our education, profession, and finances. The first, fifth, and ninth houses show the native’s talent. The planets in the first, fifth, and ninth houses affect the native. A person is born with these talents. It will only come out when they practice.
Can astrologers predict marriage?
Ask an astrologer to find out when you’ll get married. The planets in your birth chart show when you will get married. An astrologer can tell you when you’ll get married based on your birth chart. It’s more important to know what kind of marriage you’ll have than when it will happen. Venus in transit and the dasha system help males get married, while Mars helps females. Jupiter helps both men and women get married. The supportive dasha of the seventh house, its lord, or associated planet helps a person get married. Jupiter and Venus are the planets that make people get married. Any planet in the seventh house can make a person get married. Rahu can bring marriage to many people during its dasha or antardasha. An astrologer must check which planet is responsible for a person’s marriage. Which planet causes marriage problems?
Which house is bad for marriage?
The 2nd, 7th, and 11th houses affect marriage. If the 2nd house lord is in retrograde and forms a lineage point, marriage will be delayed. If the 7th house lord is in the 8th or 12th house, it will be hard to find a suitable partner.

I asked her all these questions (that concerned to my life and job, family): She said Yes, BIG YES (I was not compelling her to say Yes, but I was looking for someone, who is okay with all my concerns)… before the marriage! But just after marriage she did completely opposite to what she said. When I reminded her words, she told me, she acted as she thought I was testing her. Life is not a game, but she assumed it is. Unfortunately, it damaged my life too.
“Men are blind by ‘all women are good’ that they don’t want to see a red flag” This line was so correct by her, often I have seen my friends behaving like a complete idiots and go behind a girl while keeping this whole stupid narrative in their minds. They gotta have some questions and put in forward what they REALLY want.
Just to let everyone know it is not that this is that straightforward. If you ask someone yes, no questions. And expect them to answer honestly. I find in marriage or before people lie a lot. Everyone should focus on their goals and if anyone helps them to be in that journey then you should marry. It works both ways!
Main points discussed were- Does she want to live with your parents? ( Yes/No) Does she want you to live with her parents? ( Yes/No) Will you be okay if she leaves her job for few years for baby?( Length of time, Yes/No) Will you be okay if you have to leave your job for few years for baby?( Length of time, Yes/No) Will she move with you, if you have to go elsewhere for job? Will you move with her, if she has to go elsewhere for job? Will you financially help her family members? Will she financially help your family members? (Brother/sister education, parents health expenses)
When people date, couples meet, they put in their best “self” forward; they can be in this state till marriage and even till the honeymoo phase; after that the real person with his good and bad emerges and that causes all the issues. Main issue is not knowing the person in totality before marriage. Besides people change with time, environment & situations. One needs to know the other well enough to deal with such changes. Marriage is not like buying furniture… that one can change after a couple of years.
We still leave in a society where dating is not totally accepted. For arranged marriages, we get to decide in just one meet. And just to have a good impression, people tend to say yes for everything. Like RishiS UK mentioned problems starts later on. Its not about men or women, its the way our society is.
I was a Victim of False 498a and DV act. Fortunately all the cases filed by her was dismissed by Karnataka High Court in July 2023 and got divorced in August 2023. What I learnt? Take care of your parents . Don’t be desperate to get married. Being single has more perks. Better to stay single than tolerate emotional damage. Either adopt a child or go abroad and get a child though surrogacy (Since India has banned that too). I’m not against marriage, if a genuine girl comes, i will definitely get married. But most of the marriages now have become a business.
She is absolutely right. I am 36 and unmarried. People blame me indirectly for this. But I figure out the big red flags of all the marriage offer I have received. I am only one to take care of my parents and they live in a very small place. So, I left my job from Mumbai and moved back once my sister got married. No girl would like to shift here after marriage.
Before asking questions to the other person, we should also ask the same questions to ourselves. What are the areas which we are ok to adjust? What is it that we bring to the relationship? How flexible we are to ever changing careers, passions, and lifestyles etc..? Once we are aware of what we want and how we want it, we can discuss it with the other person. Based on experience, during the first few meetings, we are so overwhelmed with the other person, we either give in to their expectations and suffer later or we just reject it all together with the fear of failure to meet expectations…
Johnny Depp’s case is the best example for what will happen if you go for a person only for their looks rather than their mindset. “Don’t trust a woman’s words trust her actions”. A woman can move mountains if she is truly in love with you. woman’s words are connected to her mood Once her mood changes so does her words. Sometimes They’ll deny what they said. They’ll put the blame on their period. Communication is never the key for a perfect relationship, both genders can lie without hesitation. Women think that it’s okay to put blame on their mood for acting crazy sometimes.Find a woman who is mature, find a woman takes accountability for what she says or said, find a woman who accepts her mistake instead of arguing she’s always right. Stop doing this social media shit “Miss always right”, “women are never wrong”.
asking such questions won’t help .. since females are emotional decision makers .. they will change their decisions whenever they feel like. So, as long as the female has respect for their partners .. they will stay around .. So, its best for males to maintain their respect by not tolerating bad behaviour and following their goals and ambitions
Thank you Ranveer and your team for bringing up a very unique yet super important issue of how men should be emotionally aware about what they expect from their partner, especially after marriage. As a single guy, I feel that such deep dive conversation with experts would definitely provide a holistic view about how a guy can make himself emotionally aware about his aspirations and needs in life with regard to relationships. Thank you again.
Dating multiple people when u r teenager, means u r killing the tendency of staying loyal to one partner from childhood itself . Also, Means u r dating people not to be with them for love but to know how can a gender behave in future . So u r from day 1 having something in mind that this person is just a tissue paper or a timepaas . Even in friendship all what they r saying can b learnt, one need not date and play with someone’s emotions.
I really want her to walk the talk. 1. A women checklist of 100 boxes to see/expect in men is considered having standards but if a men expect his wife to cook he is considered sexist, narrow minded. 2. How can you meet all your questions in one person even when you ask them before marriage. He/she will say yes to some questions and no to some and even then some choices, likings will change with time.
I know an instance where a guy asked very specific question about living with parents. She said yes in their first meeting. When the wedding date got closer. She changed her words, her argument was ” his parents are not educated”, “I didn’t mean right after marriage” and etc. 2 years after marriage still parents are living separate in their old middle class house. So the point “women knows what they want” is right but they don’t want to face the difficulties or challenges and they lack integrity just like men as well. Men or women, integrity and living up to your words is crucial for relationship.
For guys don’t forget to ask her about past because it can give you an idea about her personality and loyalty as well. You can ask questions like – How many affairs did you have in past? Have you ever involved in sexual relationship? Why did you left those guys and not selected them for marrying? Are you marrying me for money? Will you left me for someone else if you get someone better after marrying? Will you cheat me and ask me for compensation despite of knowing that it was your(her) fault to end the relationship and marriage?
No one told me this that DATE WHEN YOU ARE YOUNGER, I’m really agree with this we get to know what we want and what we do not want from relationship And I haven’t thought of dating as well, maybe because in my mind it was fed that it is not good, so I stayed away from dating/relationship It is so sad that I got to know at this point 😔
for all the problems mentioned in this article: read the following books 1) “The Rational male” series by Rollo Tommassi. 2) “The Red pill handbook”. 3) “No More Mr. Nice Guy” by Dr. Robert Glover. 4) “The Ape that understood the Universe” by Steve Stewart-Williams 5) “Models” by Mark Manson 6) “The way of superior man” by David Deida
She’s very right. One needs to lay it all out before marrying . If there are major differences in expectations, it’s better to step back. But despite all such efforts, problems can occur after marriage. Chahe jitna bhi pehle dialogue kar lo, there is always the lottery factor. Make all efforts to resolve differences. misunderstandings, but if major issues remain, its better to end things, cordially if possible. Its very important to be be fully aware when the relationship has no happy future rather than continue & live in misery. And, wait till the relationship has settled down before having a child.
All relationships cannot be stereotyped. And everything cannot be planned on paper when it comes to human relationships. People evolve, and relationships also evolve. The baseline is to be self aware. When a person is aware of their own patterns and behavior, it’s easier to understand others. But when they’re not aware of themselves, it becomes difficult to understand others. At the end of the day, a marriage works only because 2 people refuse to give up on each other and they have the conviction to make things work. Choosing the right person depends on our own energy at any given point.
Answers/perceptions/understandings/realisations/pressure/stress/ responsibilities/moods/ age/energy/frequency/vibration/time/beliefs.. everything changes with time even the time itself changes. You can ask several questions to understand the opposite person but the real question is will the answers remain same with time? Today i may like swimming tomorrow i may like painting. In my opinion no question or answer can validate one’s true unchanged nature. In this case i would prefer to look for a spiritually awaken soul who knows nothing is forever.. and beyond mind, body, sensory perceptions, beliefs, dogma, fear, greed, right, wrong. Finding such personalities is going to be super hard but not impossible. Way to find such personalities is to join premium authentic spiritual groups or institutions to meet alike personalities.
Honestly upfront conversations don’t help always. I had those conversations before marriage many times to get the assurance from the other person. The other person lied then outright and after marriage she turned into a very different person, a person that I don’t know even. She wanted to get married to leave her job because her family didn’t want her to leave job prior to marriage. Her family was the real culprit who just wanted to move out the problem from their life and now I am completely ruined.
The problem is not that a man wants to support his parents in oldage & stuff. The problem is that a woman’s in-laws treat her like outsiders most of the time & still expects every physical labour and house chores from her and not their son. Women know this situation very well & so they mostly want not to stay with her in-laws
What’s said in podcast is absolutely correct but while sitting on the negotiation marriage table, one should not be putting too many straight questions about life after marriage, rather, the partners should judge the mind set of the other partner as in whether the partner is open minded, flexible, dynamic, is respectful etc. because with time people and their choices evolve. What was agreed before marriage might not be adhered to after marriage due to changes in circumstances and it can then become a point of clash. I would have just one advise for people getting into a marriage… Just have an open mind for your partner, respect them always, show some love and a lot of care❤️ Genuine Love and Care can only lead to everlasting happy marriages not formulas and rules! From a Happily Married Person 😊
apart from learning all this, please develop your intuition. it helps you navigate not just people but also other situations in a better way. I chose my partner intuitively and he is the best(he has his dark side too but we take responsibility and work together on improving ourselves). To an outsider, he wasn’t even 5/10th of an ideal partner. I make all decisions in my life intuitively and I am very happy with what I have built.
I would add here…at the very start she said men are looking for traditional women. But infact men have accepted modern women and it’s women who still expect traditional men. They want a man who earns more. Who can take care of her, protect her and fulfill her needs. Men used to look for women who will be pure(untouched by other men), look after his children and take care of his household while he earns the livelihood. That is all gone now and men have mostly accepted the fact, while women are still looking for traditional things while also expecting men to be modern.
My life without children is empty and meaningless. You may think that your career is important, but the truth is that your job can fire you without a second thought. When you’re past 50 with no grandchildren, living alone in a house while your friends are surrounded by their families, you’ll realize that the few extra Gucci bags you could afford won’t bring you true happiness.\r \r I attended my grandmother’s 93rd birthday and was struck by the fact that she had nine children, who in turn had many more children. There were 70 people in the room, all descendants of one woman who dedicated herself to being a good mother and wife. Nobody cared about her career or her hobbies; what mattered was her family.\r \r Women who have children and a husband to support them are the happiest people on earth, I guarantee it. Just ask your own mother if she regrets having you. I bet she’ll say that you’re the best thing that ever happened to her.\r \r Now, you’re going to end your own bloodline just because you don’t want to sacrifice your selfish desires. Your ancestors survived the dangers of the past just to ensure that you could have a comfortable life, and you’re wasting it on strip clubs and beach vacations. It’s an insult to your entire bloodline and all the struggles they faced. You should have kids and continue your family’s legacy.
People like Deepika are like a ray of hope for many suffering men out there and I am glad she’s stood by and supported so many of them, Kudos to her spirit, and I also appreciate all her open point of views and helping men have clear directives of do’s and dont’s one needs to keep in mind before committing to any relationships to avoid long term issues later on, Deepika, Lots of respect to you.
Knowing how indian parents give very less time to get to know your partner in an arranged marriage, I think there should be a counselling type offline platforms where they could jot down questions for the people getting married and help with their compatibilities. But this too doesn’t guarantee a right choice of a partner as people could just keep lying and act fake.
😂😂😂 humm.. The comment section is hilarious. The people in comment section are forgetting the basic points. 1) The entire podcast is about skewed laws and misuse of certain laws. No logic justify that. Pointing out about atrocities on one gender won’t justify baised laws or misuse of law against other.😂😂😂 2) Whether your disloyalty towards your partner is justified or not depends on your individual case. Making generalise claims about opposite gender won’t justify your disloyalty in relationship. 😂😂😂 3) This section of podcast is about having absolute clarity about vision of life, life style, etc., before entering relationship. Irrespective of gender, anybody who lies about these things in initial conversation is wrong. No amount of twisting or turning can change the fact.😂 4) The fact is that crisis is mainly due lack clarity before entering into relationship. No amount of effort to present it differently by bringing the point of patrichal society or one gender speaking up or other not tolerating is going to change the fact that clarity about expectations from other partner is needed before entering the relationship. Also a clear and honest discussion is needed.😂😂😂. 5) Do remember all this issues are because society is following laws. Laws are made by society. If laws and constitution are not able to do justice to one section society then that section will stop following the constitution itself.
In a relationship it’s necessary to prioritise things and let go the ones that isn’t the priority at that moment, instead if we look at it as a sacrifice that’s like sowing a seed of unhappiness. It’s amazing to see young women to be clear about what they want and all, at the same time how to prioritise things and the fact that prioritise do change is something both men and women of today can learn from the women of previous generations.
people who listen to you without judging, pay attention to your little things, who are kind, caring & respectful. Understands your feelings. Treat you well are the real ones. You can ask 1000 questions to find a perfect one, but I’m sorry to say people change.. words don’t agree with their actions anymore. Some things you just need to observe & feel that’s emotion.
i think the best things to do is read the newspapers everyday. Especially the “Ask anything ” coloumns. In tht coloumn ppl discuss variety of issues tht they have come across in their marital affairs. We can learn a lot from them…( only experts will be answering the questions, who would be atleast 50 years old and have read 100s of books) … Most of the times its the Extra marital affairs tht has ruined the relationships.. If both are loyal to each other there is nothing much to worry about. What is the biggest headache for a husband and wife? Its just tht ‘ What if he or she cheats me!? If we talk about it openly and make sure tht both will stay together and loyal to each other, Then we will end up as the happiest couples in the world…
Some important points raised! If you have specific non-compromisable ideas about how you wish to use other partner’s time, energy, earned money and etc, better clarify it beforehand. We are no more in the times to stay in marriage despite everything. So everyone should get over of the idea of lying/hiding things/making false promises and marrying with the expectations of changing other unless discussed and comitted beforehand.
I believe we are human beings and we do have emotions inbuilt in us…and men are emotional too..it’s just that..for some it’s a peer pressure not to be vulnerable towards expressing their emotions…eg..”if any boy cries, their peers tease him crying like a girl.”..in this process the brain is fed with male ego “
Reaching a middle ground is very difficult with financial and health uncertainty of self, own families. Neither man nor woman can afford to take a backseat in finances-career, health, mental health, taking care of own families, happiness. With families across different cities, job opportunities across cities, continents, it may happen that the couple may have to live separately – as it often happens in govt postings where father moves around in job and mother and children live where there is coaching, school, universities. It is not that difficult, also it is not that easy. Sacrifices of things very dear to oneself will be necessary from both ends. Financial support to own family, both inlaws is utmost importance. Emergencies in both inlaws and own family is crucial and need to be attended to. But, nuclear-distributed families, cost of travel and taking days off is very difficult. Emotional adjustments and habit adjustments are crucial, where festivals need to be visited to both parents house. Adjustment of both inlaws are crucial as well. However, above is true only when 2 people are mature and genuinely want to work it out for their own family and birth families. If any1 or both have ulterior motives or uncompromising, forget the above, your own family of you2 will not sustain unless either status quo is reached or one forever submits to the other in which case it will be a sad home. Be it an honest person or a crooked person – ALWAYS think what is most important to you in life, what you want from marriage and then as per priority see which person suits and both are complementary.
Great insight ma’am. I do accept the fact. Maybe the percentage might vary. The communication is vital clog and key in a relationship. That’s where most men fall flat. Mature men communicate with women and have clarity. Bigger problem is indian families especially the families of guys are so patriarchal they expect their daughter in laws to be like their servants but don’t question their sons and that kind ah pisses off a woman whom worked hard for her. Just because for a guy why would she give up her career and become a servant.
It is a fallacy that making everything clear before marriage is going to work. There is no mechanism to figure out whether someone is giving truth or lies.!!!! Laws allow women to change their intentions later. It is perfectly valid if a person changes intention according to instant circumstances in future.
Hello Ranveer my name is Praveen, I have seen your articles which have made me strong, focused and concentrated. Spiritually, looking back to what has happened in life I realised and then felt a power protecting me(Escaped death three times, third one was eyes opening) but coming to getting into a relationship changed my mind set and the thing is everyone I’ve proposed has rejected me straight to the face, after perusal your clips I’ve never proposed anybody realising that nobody is worth me but I really need someone to be a part of my life. Can you please help me understand this.
Hi everyone! A few months ago I was in India. The local guide in Varanasi was a very nice person. He was very respectful and had calm demeanor. We were talking about marriage, as he asked me if I was married, which I’m not and never been (I’m like 15 years older than him). And he told me that he was going to get married on December 13th. In a split second I saw in his face his misery. It was going to be an arranged marriage. His parents didn’t like the woman he truly loved and wanted to marry. The relationship ended. But, his parents felt he was delaying marriage way too much, now that he was in his mid 30s. So, they arranged everything and married he must be right now! How can he have a healthy relationship if not even his basic feelings were taken in consideration?
Values should be similar. People need to learn how to compromise. Even then there is nothing guaranteed. There is nothing like right or wrong one. People change with time. They evolve into different human beings because of different influences and circumstances. So you take your chances. Nothing more nothing less.
Women who go into adultery after the marriage, can we ask them as ‘Do you go in adultery after the marriage’ !? We cannot ask. Even we ask good questions to women before marriage, even women say I will cooperate with hubby, in their mind it will be running as ‘after marriage I will change you to say Yes to me, not that I will say yes to you’
I would say, two people feeling the vibe and connect can work on relationships with effort… 5 yearsor 10 years down the line is too hard to make a judgement. If u love someone, u can make it work and u dont need to use too much brain what if or what not … put your heart into it, it ll turn out beautiful. The problem with today’s generation is that we think a lot about future than living in the present and love seems complicated and confusing haha.
in this age i don’t know what men or women wants anymore. i am 🤏this close to losing faith in love. From the books i have read and movies i have watched love is so different, of course love is not all just flowers but thorns too but if two people truly love each other they can fight against all odds
Men are most of the time worried about top priority things like payment of school fees, electricity bill, looking after the wellbeing of inlaws and his own parents, while the wife is more preoccupied with frivolous thoughts like which loreal hair colour would suit them, or when is the next appointment for facial. Women are very focused you see and exempted from all responsibilities..
The problem isn’t men thinking that all women are good. The problem is men still don’t consider women as human beings with complex natures. Women are still seen as objects to fulfill a man’s needs. Women only seem strong now because in the transaction called marriage women’s needs came drastically down (eg financial, social, emotional needs) whole mens needs are the same (home care, child production n care, physical). Obviously men are gaining more so they are suffering more. Reduce your needs n your suffering will come down.
All these suggestions, questions, narratives, hopes, expectations on one side but while speaking with a someone for marriage honesty is most important. While discussing people act smart and speak what the other person wants to hear making them think she is the perfect choice. But after marriage all there true colors come to life… So to save ourselves from all this trauma record the conversations and please save yourselves… It might sound like privacy issue but if things go South this ill save there life. But if everything’s fine and they are happy then all these evidence is not needed atall…
I had dated more than 40 + women till now. … and 3 of them i was in love ( by date it doesn’t mean only romantic ) …… I understand one thing and that is never be attached or dependent on her emotionally or physically ……she will use it against you if you went weak or if she get a taste of something better cooking somewhere, today women are more narcissistic than ever before just because every second guy is after her bombarding her Dms and profile, she is getting free validation and loads of entitlement……. no relationship lasts more than a year ……..spotting the red flags is best prevention …Men have least or no legal power against women ( 80% is loosing rate in family courts and cases where women is against men ..) Just remember one thing … ” She is not yours it’s just your turn … “… second and last never delete any information shared with her or chats and call records while dealing with her ..
I cannot believe this is adult talking, you cannot ask questions, its completely depend on your present situation. And men are more emotional than women, I can say women are more practical they cry instantly and move forward. For women, its her responsibility to make her men comfortable enough so that he can cry and share his feelings…
It takes the intention to make things work. Lack of intention can break things regardless of efforts and investment in the relationship. You only need one reason to stay, while to break there are numerous of reasons that may or may not make sense. We can keep on debating women should or shouldn’t be controlled or men was exploited even though he was kind. Reality is both men and women have fair share of shortcomings, if they have intention things will work out.
Point is women have evolved and know all tips and tricks….but men are stuck in 1950s thinking that all women are devi and great….and no harm will come to them Men need to learn a lot about Gender Biased Laws Forget coding, forget great salaries….social engineering is something which needs utmost attention by men
Relationship is for both … If both want the relation with each other till they r alive then they have to work it out … B it professionally or personally whr what has to happen tht has to b talked n understood from both the sides … Especially parents b it gal or boy their respective parents r their own responsibility not somebody elz … Haan taking care of each other’s parents tht shud strike a balance between the partners they shud discuss who vl take care of what n how so tht both r sorted out n things atleast in certain areas r sorted n moves lil bit easily …. B it finance house etc etc many points r der whr in both has to talk it out n if ok go ahead elz plz don’t spoil anybody life n mess things without reason ….
I loved this conversation absolutely!!! But there is one more thing that needs to be mentioned —lets say the couple is clear on not staying with the man’s parents after they’re married. But what if, after marriage, the man changes his decision? What if the girl is forced to handle the verbal abuse and all kinds of harsh comments from her inlaws now since she’s living with them? What then? Because they WERE clear before marriage that both won’t be staying with the man’s parents after marriage. What now. Anyway! I loved this conversation. I totally want a guy who knows what he wants, who is self aware and emotionally intelligent. 💚 Thank you for these podcasts!
Important point not touched upon in this interview: Watch out for emotional blackmail. When girls say things like “I can’t live without you”, “If you leave me, I’ll die”, “I take poison and lay down in front your house”, “if you leave me, I’ll tell all your relatives and friends about you (cooked up tales to make you appear evil), “I left everything for you, u do the same for me”, “your friends/brothers are making passes at me, dump them”, etc… you need to ask yourself if it is worth continuing the relationship. Be careful out there, fellas. There are plenty of very nice women out there, just make sure you date the right one. Good luck and stay safe! Jai Ho!
Problem is that the people (the to be couple and parents/family) treat pre-wedding discussions/talks as interview. Where both the candidates and families try to put the best face forward. So whenever a topic is raised or discussed – both parties try to show they are very understanding, accommodating, supportive, politically correct… and so forth. The objective like a job interview is lets get the Job (in this case, get married ) and then we will see what happens in future. The most common “suggestion” or argument is – Our parents or previous generations got arranged married and they adjusted, so why can’t this generation. How many eligible bachelors, bachelorettes have clarity of -1) who they are and 2) what they expect from the partner and 3) what they expect from the relationship. You ask any eligible bachelor or bachelorette what they expect in the partner- the answers typically revolve around 1. Physical appearance and 2. Income. Yes physical appearance is important because one needs to attracted to someone to sleep with them at night but relationship is beyond just sexual attraction or bragging rights of having beautiful/ handsome partner. Income and financial stability is also important- Someone may be making millions in income but they are not all interested in building life with you, is that a way of finding successful relationship. How many couples discuss- 1. Religion, 2. Sexual desires/ interest, 3. having children, 4. savings/ investment/ debt/ repayment/ retirement 5.
When I tell my expectations directly guys make a perception abt me and back off. A frnd of mine suggested dnt talk abt responsibilities at first place let him know you and he himself will support you. I feel whatever it is, your preferences and expectations can change after marriage even if we clear things before so best is marrying guy/girl who’s understanding and ready to compromise when required. But core values and morals should match. And afcourse perception of life is important to know some people aims of just earning money and building big house and having family. Whereas some people like to travel and enjoy the life with family along with having a simple house and lifestyle. So this is very important to knw before marriage.
Completely agree…i don’t know if it’s emotional but the case I have seen me and my friends (from female perspective) Most men don’t like to discuss things or rather put out the cards on the table and women prefer discussion/put cards on the table.,.. some times it might give an idea that he might be pushed into marriage..Most important is comunication alone before marriage.
These things that she’s talking about are only available to privileged people…for an ordinary person it’s all about society customs family etc…if u go acc to society then the system of marriage is beneficial esp for men but if u r a rebel & an ordinary person then marriage can mess ur life big time
I speak as a father of a young girl. She knows exactly what she wants from a husband. But I am not sure if she is aware of what she will offer the marriage and whether that will be good enough for the husband she is looking for. She still has a few more years to go. I am hopeful that she will get the necessary maturity.
What if, all the questions are to me made from men’s side…. while women has to prove herself mature by accepting all the terms and conditions of marriage. She becomes more dependent for taking the permission for her education and carrier….and marriage becomes more like exchange of money (DOWRY) and social status.
The first thing you should ask a boy girl if your in debt …what do you have any type of disease …you havecto get a medicial done …bec a man or girl may have a colorful life…and her / his past ..you have to ask the partners you have before marriage . ..taking care of her / his family and be in good relationships
A great article to bookmark and save it later! In short, we boys tend to be one sided lovers, school / college crush which never succeeds.. Later on, for the sake of family, society etc.. get into an arranged marriage which may or may not work. Either we adjust and live together, but the dream partner we aspire, we cherish never fulfills.. if at all it does, it might not be a proper relationship.. we may end up cheating on our partner in future.. Also, the definition of Progressive females and ancient thinking of men about females.. this need to have a clear cut idea.. Often here starts the plethora of issues & problems.. I will be the happiest person if this POV is wrong.. open for replies.
Lol I still think there are many men’s who are loyal, emotional, value for relationship, honest, settled, but still women don’t chose them the most women chooses corn men were they get regrets n get wrong perspective about men n spills out here in the show they choose wrong n get wat they choose for it n most of the men who are loyal n etc get wrong women were they use them n leave them 😂 most of the case it happens.
Saying that choosing wrong parter is the main reason for such thing to happen is completely taking it away from the real problem. yes, it is a factor but the main problem is with the sh*ty law system of your country Guilty until prover innocent! U can be put behind the bar without any evidence just bcoz she said it happened Yes, no criminal should be roaming outside freely but no innocent is should be put behind the bars either If this is justice system then esay nayay shastar ko suly pa chara dijhay (just like devsena said in bahubali 2)
Many of these problems can be solved if living in with someone is not looked down upon in Indian Society. You can never come to know 100% about someone until you live with someone, even if you have dated the opposite person for many years, daily habits and behaviors cannot be identified which eventually become the root cause of problems when people get married!
Success in marriage is very difficult. Only when two couples are ready to sacrifice themselves for each other then only they are ready for a relationship and eventually a marriage. But most of the people selfishly wanted something from the other and this the expectations increases and eventually relationships fail. You see even if you date early too, this may happen. So there’s no guarantee or a formula for success in marriage. Atleast know what love is 🙂
I personally felt motherly love and affection from female leaders who aren’t mothers themselves owing to work related responsibility. Women can be leaders, but you have to choose which one. For the people who work under you or your very own biological children. You can manage both but it won’t be free from hurdles. So there are 3 options. I’d personally prefer a woman who’d raise a family and become my business associate rather than working for someone else. If her business idea is good then I’d prefer becoming an investor in her cause.
OMG, I can really relate to her lots of young men (Age group 28-40) still leaving in an ancient idea of “what women are “. Actually going through this situation as my Matrimonial profile is created. And my whole idea for a soulmate, progressive man is broken into many pieces 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ But do you really think if I ask these to clarify things they react decently, do they have the patience and mental stamina to listen to this, and understand the vibes of what she wants to say?
Married life is all about practical… yet men should be aware of hormonal mood swings of female partener, that’s the reason promises of them is not worth,as she will change the mind any time .And men should be ready for it. Jab tak achha lagega to har haal me apka sath degi and it’s a subconscious ego satisfaction act for her she consider as an achievement that she lived with the guy in the worth situation !!😊 While, Men is goal oriented personality as he is grown up in that way. Study for job, Business for money, Behave good for something… etc.. So when he get married he feel ab to meri hi hai !! And he changes his behavior infact we can’t say change behavior but he switches the goal and prepare for the next step the married life, kids, responsibilities. Planning all that make him little bit non caring .. infact he changes the language of caring .. he will not ask mele babu ne thana thaya… But girl expects the same version of his man !!
It’s a great thing that we are moving in the direction of having gender neutral laws. Similarly, we also need gender equality/neutrality when it comes to living with in laws. It’s expected only for a woman to live with in laws. There should be gender neutrality/equality there as well. Men should also live with their in laws at least for let’s say half a year every year or some better arrangement
Just go live in relationship for 2 to 3 years to know girl or boy and ask this question. If what girl or boy is saying is match with their actions in your 2 to 3 year live in relationship and you are okay with that then you can think about marriage. last thing before going in live in relationship make article of your girlfriend in which she has to clearly say that she is going in live in relationship with their consent and this relationship may or may not end in marriage
I think the problem start with inequality at home ……daughters life are so restricted that aftr a time they want to get marry …when they marry they find that inlaws doent treat them like their own ….all work is expected ..they don’t expect their son to do house hold chores ….and then girls feel so stuck in that envirmemt they don’t know where to go …..as aftr marriage even parent doent aacept daughter ….
People are not what they say, they are rather how their vibration is. Anyone can lie anytime, one can change over the period of time, even I can change in future. Then what’s the point in having this kind of interview session!? I’m sorry to say this. IMO any relationship is a continuous process, we need to deal with it like a living thing, not like an inert stone.🙏
As future arrange marriage karne wali girl I can tell you few things. 1- Do Not trust anyone blindly 2- do introspection Instead of making list of what do you like make list of what do you hate the most. Those non compromising situations 3- then tell your expectations 4- don’t forget to share about any alcoholic habits 5- plz if your family is conservative, do not marry a girl who is from morden family. You will destroy one life ( specially for girls)
The law is biased towards females and the society is biased towards males, its just a balance. If and when the society balances out the laws will improve too not before, yes maybe the woman here might have had her experiences but one can not deny that there are still so many cases where the woman are treated real bad, just not equal.
There should be a law in marriage : 1.Make the couple stay alone from their families atleast for a couple of years ( counseling is require of the family members too to accept the union of marriage) 2. let the legal people visit the couple once in 3months ( in the initial stages of marriage) to counsel them on how their marriage is shaping up. Last but not the least, there should be a marriage insurance especially for the females.
She is wrong with the fact that indian men’s are having ancient mentality about women and marriage if she had ever read ramayan from shloke to shloke then she will understand how much bold and thoughtful was our Sita Mata and shri ram also supported her like a feminist in her decisions . U can’t even compare today’s marriage and relationships to the ancient ones, in ancient times we know our promises in marriage and relationships was like रघु रीत सदा चली आई प्राण जाए पर वचन ना जाए .everything started to change when these mughals invaded indian and from that period the situation of women in india started to become worse .Although I am also a broad minded person but I would like to marry a girl who respects and adore our sanatan sanskriti and follows it as well. As we all know how children are raised when men and women both are working that’s why I thinks that it is better to have a home maker a house wife rather than a home wrecker. I want a partner who is not just educated but do also educate me when ever i will be wrong And man should do their best to be like maryada purushottam shri ram . I know that I can never be like shri ram but I can try my best and that’s same for all . I am not against feminism or equality among men and women . It is just that I prefer girls who are more connected to thier roots.
I told honestly everything to husband before marriage that what I want after marriage. But after 10 years he want me to change back. Infact he lied everything about himself and his family and still lie and cheating on me. Honestly today man very confuse and they are not satisfied what they have. They want changes everytime like college time like relationship and girls especially after becoming father. So useless to be honest and break the head . India society is made for man. N those man who doesn’t follow the rules like husband and follow their duty. They think dominating is husband quality. After external affair or relationship with outside woman is man quality. Sometimes they pray to god. Sometime they think are God. That’s true women are really focused but man are confused. Buy are confused. Somewhere it’s mistake of parent who let them live freely as they are boys. That’s y olden times the boys from 8 till 21 years they use away from parents in gurukula living with guru. So that they should understand reality of life and their duty and their expectations should not be high. Like if we teach the kids to clean the bed, it’s becomes their habits whole life. Same what parent teach to their son will make him like that. Now days parents they make their son to be dependet and never satisfy and adjust. But in society he learn man should be dominating and controlling and must have affair to prove he is real man . They are becoming worst than animal.
Marriage as an institution was always skewed towards benefitting men more than women. Back then atleast men were great providers and protectors which is not the case today. Divorce should be made as normal as getting married. And we gotta stop this crap that marriage is for eternity and suffer in silence. If men are looking for beauty, earning wife and a doting family care taker then women should also question as to what is that men bring to the table in their marriage ? Marriage expenses, dowry burden is still put on women and the % of good looking women outweigh handsome men which is a pain. Today men are demanding a women who is good looking, young, earning well, child bearing potential, then why can she not demand to stay away from the guy’s parents if she is leaving her’s. No feminism here simple equation of equality.
With all the respect to whatever she has said, I’m totally disagree with her. C’mon lady! Are we discussing about “What to do so that we don’t have to trap into legal matters later?” Really? Is it a MoU which has to be signed by both? Or a legal contract with your partner? It is a marriage and understand each other that what kind of person she is most crucial part of marriage because later on if there are some issues arrives which is obvious, then they both can handle it well and probability of successful marriage is much higher than what you have said!!
What an irony. She kept saying women have evolved a lot and at the same time gave examples of inevolved, entitled women. 😂😂 Edit: Just visit to the main podcast and check out the link of the documentary made by Deepika ma’am. And see for yourself if her claim that women are more evolved is true or not. 😂
You will never get a person as per your choice as nothing such exist in real world… you can only live happily with mutual compromise or fight without compromising a bit from either side. There is nothing like you are completely compatible with someone… If you want you can be, if you don’t want you can never be. These days humans are becoming more intolerant so it is even more difficult to marry a person of your choice and maintaining it for long. Therefore those who wants peaceful life without any expectations, stay single and focus of self enlightenment and nation building.
Very nice advice about asking questions before marriage. But there is one problem. Just because girl answered some questions, does not mean she is going to agree with it. She may later say: I did not say that. OR Oh, I just answered. That was true at that and not true any more. OR. I answered because I thought you will like my answer and marry me. OR they may cutely say: “Why all that now, arre, chodo yaar, forgot those silly things I said”
This article should have been more Gender neutral rather than being Women Centric. Marriages happen between 2 and why guys should always take the pinch. Its a real world out there and even if women (or men) have transformed doesn’t mean they no longer eat food or survive on grass. Somewhere our society is getting more complicated in terms of such unrealistic expectation where either of one or both partner/s would fail to deliver. The best thing is to keep such evolution aside and only focus on her and your life life, Simple. Once you bring Society, World, Westernization into your relationships, trust me even if God wants, that will not work out. Its right to clarify things before marriage but without societal lenses.. Because if the day comes where you two get into a tussle, mind you no society, world or so called Women centric or Men centric people are going to come and help you. @TRS..Good One . I gave my views.
Although I don’t agree with everything this compassionate madam said here, she is right that there is no ultimate formula. You can draft the best questions, hire the finest private investigators, have the most competent lawyers at your disposal, reserve as much funds as you can in case things so sideways, ultimately marriage, like all relationships, is a leap of faith. It is one that I’ll never take, the risk-reward ratio is just too imbalanced for me. Save and spend on premium escorts and perhaps consider sperm donation after consulting with doctor/lawyer. You’re free to decide for yourself dear Indian Men, but remember when it comes to women, in India or anywhere in the world, watch what they do, not what they say. For example, you meet or are introduced to a woman who’s 35 and wants to get married. It is clear that marriage was never a priority for this woman in her youth. Most likely her education, career or business were her priorities. Otherwise, when she was at the peak of her value (early to mid twenties), she would have settled down with a decent Man to raise a family and build a legacy. She did not, because marriage was not a priority for her at all. Now, at 35, when she’s hit geriatric pregnancy paired with immense familial/societal pressure (which is pointless as it’s a waste to marry a woman who’s being pressured to embrace marriage, with a person or in general), she’s finally open to getting married. Then you can pile on all the additional truths of hypergamy, anti-male laws, pro-women judiciary, financial stability, etc.
Its simple… don’t get into relationship with headstrong women who focus on career (money) quick points : 1. Don’t want to take care of Husbands parents at all. 2. Don’t want to cook even though spouse is ready to help her. 3. Career is more important than family. 4. Her parents are very important and want them to stay with her and dump husbands parents in Old age home. 5. Total forget our Indian culture, traditions, festivals and all that our mothers and sisters do religiously. 6. Look for every aspect to quarrel on petty issues and threaten to file FAKE Cases if you ignore. 7. All 90% of disputes in Indian Courts filed by women are baseless with zero evidence. 8. Never discuss anything openly before marriage and ruin the life of guy who has toiled for his career and would like to marry a good bride. 9. Target of all girls parent daughters these days to do anything and take over husbands property etc. and dump in case he denies or not and marry again. Easy way to make money and property with 200% co-operation from MIL. Above all .. as per Indian law .. in dispute more than 50% income, property and many more as per her demands in court is granted even she is working in top MNC or not.
I ignored red mark when she said i will have to pay little attention to my family after marriage. Just after our marriage her mother had whatsapp status saying – 1.Don’t live like a goat otherwise you will be treated like a goat by the world which has tiger like traits . 2. Straught trees are cut first so never be straight person. She left no moment to make me feel inferior to her family. Using words like marriage with me is like prison for her. Just a month after marriage she was chatting with a guy who was saying sometimes women need a man to help when everything is not right in her relationship. What to do? Anyone who can guide?
The title should be know actually that person’s answer matching to the actions or not.. Because everyone can act like they don’t have any problem they can do this that but in reality things are different..one should actually look if that person is truly doing the things he pr she said or not..not just ask but watch also
Overall picture which l have seen in society regarding marriage. Most of them think 🤔 of having a live in relationship concept. If it will work out then girl or boy think of getting married. But many a times in Arranged marriage case. Either a girl or boy is not ready to get married but patents pressure them emotional to get married.and after few months and years couples come at conclusions they have married to wrong person. They get divorce. What l feel until and unless If you are not ready more on emotional level to get married please don’t get married under pressure of parents and society. At the end you are going to ruin somebody’s life. If a girl and boy never want to get married it is his or her personal decision. Society must understand in India. Thank u 🙏
