In the Season 11 finale of The Big Bang Theory, Barry Kripke, a Caltech plasma physicist and string theorist, sings “At Last” as Sheldon and Amy walk down the aisle after their wedding. The episode airs on May 10, 2018, and is part of the negotiation with Kripke to give up the venue for their wedding. To get him to give up the venue, Kripke makes him clean out his equipment and has to come to the wedding.
Barry Kripke, a Caltech plasma physicist and string theorist, is a friend to Leonard, Howard, Raj, and Amy. He has a case of rhoticism, where he pronounces R and L as W, much like Elmer Fudd in Looney Tunes. He also has an on-and-off platonic relationship with Leonard, Howard, Raj, and Amy.

Did Bernadette attend Sheldon’s wedding?
Leonard and Penny are the only other members of the wedding party. Some viewers thought it was strange that Raj, Howard, and Bernadette weren’t in the wedding party. We assume Sheldon and Amy wanted the whole gang there when they said their vows, but they didn’t. Meemaw wasn’t there. Sheldon’s grandmother has appeared in both The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. It was surprising she wasn’t at the wedding. Why does Kripke sing at the wedding?
In the Athenaeum episode, Sheldon and Amy give their save-the-date cards for their wedding on May 12. The card had a picture of their brains kissing. They decide to have the wedding at the Caltech Athenaeum Club. Barry Kripke already had it for his birthday party. They could get it if they paid for a hooker and let him sing at their wedding. At the end of the episode, they were considering the planetarium for their wedding. The wedding is at the Athenaeum Club, with Barry singing down the aisle. In The Reclusive Potential, Penny planned a quilting bee for Amy’s bachelorette party, but Amy wanted something wilder. Later, the girls took her to a bar for shots. She passed out twelve minutes later. Back home, they told Amy that she Riverdanced on the bar, pawed a bunch of shirtless firemen and flashed the bar. In The Monetary Insufficiency, Penny and Bernadette take Amy wedding dress shopping. She loves every dress she tries on because she feels beautiful. Yes and no. John Ross Bowie has a lisp. You can hear it in his other role on Speechless. But his lisp makes S sounds. The Barry Kripke role is for that character only.
Why wasn’t Leonard’s mother at Sheldon’s wedding?
Big Bang Theory executive producer Steve Holland said Christine Baranski’s schedule made it impossible for her to appear in Beverly. She was shooting The Good Fight in New York, and it was their last two days of production that week. Scheduling conflicts nearly resulted in Laurie Metcalf missing the shoot, too. Holland says she was in a play in New York, but she made it to the Big Bang Theory set to film her scenes. It’s a shame Christine Baranski couldn’t attend Sheldon and Amy’s wedding. At least Laurie Metcalf made the trip to be there for Mary Cooper on her son’s wedding day.

For a person who always has so many things to say about everything, seeing Sheldon rendered speechless on his wedding day shows that Amy truly is his person. The one that could disprove his ideology, the one that truly breaks down the tall wall that he have built all his life. It was Amy. From that first coffee date til forever, it is only Amy for Sheldon.
This is what romantic and true love looks like. Show was great for all 12 seasons and I was literally crying when it was over. Thank you so much for great performance, wisdom, beautiful characters. And – since English is my second language – for new words learned :). You guys are amazing. Will be re-watching this show over and over.
Congratulations, this was a really nice episode on different levels… some good ole humor, some badass Penny, a science breakthrough, old storylines, old characters (where were Leonard’s mom and Sheldon’s meemaw though?!), new guests and truly romantic dialogue!😍 But hey, the best part was Kripke in the end! 😂
I would have loved it if Sheldon and Amy (or at least one of them) had mentioned Howard and Raj in their vows. After all, they only met because of Howard and Raj. They were the ones who secretly signed Sheldon up on that dating site and eventually found Amy for him. They also convinced Sheldon to go on the first date. If it weren’t for them, Sheldon and Amy wouldn’t have met.
This is the best wedding ceremony that ive ever seen by tv… this is two completely developed characters who have changed a lot, and now you see them where NO ONE thought we would see them. Amy and Sheldon are the best tv couple in my opinion. Their love is so pure that this wedding didnt felt forced like leonard and pennys wedding… it was like Bernie and Howard made of pure love. I love this so much and also makes me think on how much someone can change into a completely different person in a way…
Wow! I’m extremely happy for Sheldon and Amy because I thought Sheldon was never gonna propose to Amy since he didn’t believe in that stuff but when he flew to New Jersey to do it to Amy, it shows that Sheldon really has come a long way. Sheldon and Amy make a lot of sense and they’re perfect for each other because they’re both super intelligent, have super smart IQs equivalent to each other and it’s like one huge breakthrough in the science of love today, minus the actual breakthrough of science that they’ve made with super asymmetry. ☺☺☺

A small story, I started perusal the clip where Bernadette comes down the stairs and asks about the dog. In that moment I thought, this show really isn’t that funny. Then Mark Hamill showed up and thought, nah that was good. Three clips later, I realise that it’s just Bernadette that is the most god awful unfunny character in any sitcom. Where as Sheldon could quite possibly near the top and guest appearances like Mark Hamill means it’s worth getting past the crap to see the good. What an awesome clip!
