This lets guests find their seats and enter at a good pace. If you’re serving drinks before the ceremony, you can usually add 20 to 30 minutes to the timing. Have your ushers encourage guests to be seated five minutes before the ceremony starts.

Consider arrivals. If all your guests will be arriving by shuttle, you can usually get away with a short window of about 10 to 15 minutes from the time all the shuttles arrive to getting everyone seated. If guests are driving and parking themselves, allow more time and serve non-alcoholic drinks or sparkling wine on arrival. You can’t wait for the latecomers, but you should allow extra time so you don’t worry about starting on time.
