In the fourth episode of She-Hulk, Benedict Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, is revealed to be married in the MCU or was in the past. In the post-credits scenes, Wong mentions that there are some leftovers from a wedding, possibly referring to Christine Palmer’s wedding at the beginning of Multiverse of Madness. However, this seems unlikely given that Stephen Strange was the only Kamar-Taj student invited. Wong has become a fan-favorite character, appearing in the Disney series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Wong’s claim that there is still some leftovers from the wedding, which could refer to Christine Palmer’s wedding at the beginning of Multiverse of Madness, seems unlikely. Wong’s favorite drink is Gin & Tonic, and he is mentioned in court documents as “Wong” in quotes, inferring that this is his real name. In the end credits, Wong is seen hanging out with Jennifer Walters, who refers to him as “Wong” in quotes, inferring that she remains skeptical that this is his real name.
In the end credits, Wong provokes Jennifer to become She-Hulk at the wedding, revealing that she views She-Hulk as competition. The story does not do what was expected, and Wong’s appearances in the MCU Phase 4 have become a fan favorite.

How much is the ping jing amount?
An even amount is preferable.; The auspicious number 8 is usually favoured as it symbolizes prosperity and luck.; Its best to have the Pin Jin to range in the thousands, as daughters are also referred to as Qian Jing.\; The most common amounts given range from $1,888 to $8,888.; There is no minimum sum, nor is there a limit as well. It is entirely up to you.; The brides family will return a part of the total Pin Jin to the grooms family. This is also up to the discretion of the brides parents.; *My husband and I were the ones who paid for our banquet, and my parents took 10 tables for our wedding banquet, so even though the Pin Jin was relatively lower, they were okay with it. Why did Tony invite Wong to his wedding?
In Infinity War after Wong saved Iron Man from Cull Obsidian at the Greenwich Village, Tony invited him to his wedding. In No Way Home it is revealed that Wong survived the Snap and replaced Doctor Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme. That means Wong probably attended Tony and Peppers wedding, however until now Wong has not mentioned it. I would love to see Wong talk about it in Doctor Strange 2.
Unless Doctor Strange used the Runes of Kof-Kol on him again.
I mean, good odds that the wedding was a much smaller affair than was originally planned. The whole mass depopulation event and all.
Why is Abomination with Wong?
After Jen Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) agrees to represent Emil during his parole hearing, leaked footage of that tournament fight threatens to derail the entire case because its hard evidence that he escaped from prison. But Emil said he was actually forced to leave his cell by a Sorcerer Supreme of the Mystic Arts named Wong, and since he chose to return by his own free will, therefore he should still qualify for parole. Wong eventually shows up to confirm that Emil is telling the truth — he explains that he took Emil from his cell against his wishes, all because he just needed a worthy opponent to battle during his training to become Sorcerer Supreme. Turns out, Wong just wanted a good fight! And despite being late to the hearing, Wong finally testifies as such, clearing Emils name and helping him get parole.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law head writer Jessica Gao reveals that she didnt come up with that hilariously simple explanation for Wong was fighting Abomination. We asked the question, she tells EW. The answer was given to us.
As for why the answer ultimately came in Marvels half-hour comedy, director Kat Coiro explains that She-Hulk and Shang-Chi were actually being made at the same time, so it felt like the perfect way to connect the two and bring back Roths character (last seen in 2008s The Incredible Hulk, which starred Edward Norton before Mark Ruffalo took over the role of Bruce Banner).
Why is Wong in every Marvel movie?
Wong is introduced in 2016s Doctor Strange, as one of many Masters of the Mystic Arts that the eponymous sorcerer meets at Kamar-Taj. The character wasnt originally included in early drafts of the script because the Marvel Comics iteration is a terribly outdated stereotype. The source material depicts Wong as a manservant who serves Strange tea and has next to no impact on the narrative. However, the film was already in a bit of hot water for casting white woman Tilda Swinton in the traditionally Asian role of The Ancient One. For a heavily Asian-inspired story, the original comics featured very few Asian characters. As a result, director and co-writer Scott Derrickson sought to rework Wong as a better example of representation. The result was a far better-written character who flipped most of the stereotypes on their head and swiftly became a fan favorite.
Wong is the guardian of Kamar-Tajs expansive library of legendary tomes and artifacts and one of the most skilled practitioners of magic. Strange and Wong have a fun energy, the former attempting to make small talk while the latter maintains unbreakable focus. Later scenes see Wong familiarizing himself with modern pop culture, then he joins Strange in the battle against the films villain.
Wong dies in combat but is resurrected by Strange, forging deep respect and blooming friendship with his former pupil. Wong is Stranges trusted ally in Infinity War and wins the great cosmic coin toss that is Thanos first snap. Strange does not win that 50/50 chance, so Wong becomes the Sorcerer Supreme, a key role that he accepts with aplomb. After the great resurrection in Endgame, its Wong who brings forth the army to defeat Thanos from all corners of the universe. His overall screen time in the first few phases of the MCU is fairly limited, but in those sparse moments, he takes part in some of the biggest actions in the franchise. But, his impact doesnt end there.
Who is Wong’s love interest in Marvel?
Stranges secretary, Sara Wolfe, became strongly attracted to Wong, who began to reciprocate her feelings.volume&issueneeded However, Wong put an end to what might have become a romance with Wolfe when he was notified that Imei Chang, the woman to whom he was betrothed, had at last come of age to be married.volume&issueneeded.
At one point Wong was turned into a vampire by Dracula; he was soon restored to humanity by Doctor Strange.5 Wong was later abducted by other-dimensional sorcerers to the realm that was still ruled by the Shadowqueen. Doctor Strange followed Wong there and rescued him from the Shadowqueens dungeon. Wong helped Strange battle the Shadowqueen, who finally perished.6 Wong was then attacked by a NGarai demon.7.
Wong and the empath, Topaz, were both abducted to another planet by the alien sorcerer, Urthona, when the latter used his magical powers to steal Doctor Stranges house and the mystical talismans and books it contained. Urthona even viciously mutilated Wongs face while holding him prisoner.8 Strange defeated Urthona and rescued Wong and Topaz. Back on Earth, Topaz used her healing powers to restore Wongs face to normalcy.
What wedding was Wong referring to?
Finally, a She-Hulk episode 4 post-credits scene sees Wong hanging out with Madisynn as they watch This Is Us. Its possible hes keeping an eye on Madisynn, concerned that shes signed a deal with a being from a Hell Dimension and thus needs supervision; alternatively, Wong could simply be enjoying spending time with her. He tells Madisynn about vodka and yak milk, and mentions they may have some left over from the wedding. This may be a nod to the wedding of Christine Palmer in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law continuing to solidify the Phase 4 timeline.
New episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law release on Thursdays on Disney.
What was Wong watching in She-Hulk?
After spending a couple of movies working in a library and organizing books before letting Doctor Strange know how important the Sorcerer Supreme job is, viewers finally saw Wong relaxing and doing something everyone else was doing in that exact moment — watching one of their favorite TV shows. Wong was in his room in Kamar-Taj when the stage magician Donny Blaze (Rhys Coiro) used real magic to send an audience member to a dangerous realm where she made a deal with a demon to end up transported to Wong himself for help. When she popped in on Wong, she saw he was watching The Sopranos.
. Not only was Wong watching The Sopranos, but he was clearly binging the show, and he showed great frustration when his new guest spoiled who died in that specific episode. Wong was so angry that he hired She-Hulk and sued Blaze for using real magic in his stage shows and putting the world at risk. But, also, because Blaze indirectly spoiled the show he was watching. For someone as stuffy and boring as Wong has been, seeing him watching a beloved show on TV, and getting mad when someone spoiled it for him, made him much more relatable than he had ever been, and is turning him into one of the MCUs most beloved heroes.
On top of his love for The Sopranos, Wong also showed that he has room in his life for a buddy. In this case, it was the woman that Blaze sent to another realm, and the person who spoiled The Sopranos for Wong — not once, but twice. As Wong showed, he had become TV buddies with Madisynn (Patty Guggenheim), and he invited her over to watch even more TV with him. They also discussed different drinks (Wong has never heard of Blue Curaçao and is a gin and tonic guy). He also is a fan of This Is Us, as revealed in a scene with him curled up on his couch watching the show, an emotional wreck, as most fans of the series are. It turns out Wong isnt so stuffy after all, and he might be more like the viewers than any other hero in the MCU — other than maybe She-Hulk herself.

I think Wong’s story arc is one of the best in the MCU. He’s always been and still is very responsible and serious about the mystic arts, but it’s obvious that he loves people and everyday life – likes to go get sandwiches and eat ice cream, comfortable in busy diners (Multiverse), fight club with Emil, goes out drinking and to sing Karaoke, and then a friendship with the most unlikely of people. As Sorcerer Supreme, he probably can’t get too close with his students so he doesn’t pass up a chance to make friends on the outside.
Jen was right – there was a fun tag at the end cause I want more of Madison and Wong – at first I wasn’t sure but the reunion at the court room sold me I’m like god damn I need more!!! also Wong perusal Sopranos and This is Is is hilarious!!!! {the shot of him on the couch is me perusal my shows too} LOVE THIS!!!
I like these types of marvel +shows because we get to see how the ordinary people exist within the universe. It makes it feel real. I do hope that the MCU understands in the future that it’s OK for certain characters to be comedic but the whole tone doesn’t have to be comedic if not necessary. I feel like the show would’ve been completely different if she hulk was the only one with a comedic tone to her instead of the whole show pandering to her worldview. I noticed that a lot in the female centric superhero films and projects
I never get enough with serious character and goofy character duo combo, there is charm where the serious character just want to get the thing done but the goofy character just make it hard but the serious just cant help it. If SHE-HULK series failed in the end, i bet the duo Wong and Madisynn probally will be one of the thing people would said “redeemable aspect” of the series.
@4:40 the happy ❣️Madisynn❣️ smiling squeaks just by seeing ❤️*Wongers*♥️ Is Priceless even for a sum of marvel productions, Wongers tho : …. Flick me outta here pls,Ms.Walters …… FYI MARVEL fans,.. He’s now, by the public opinion, going by : Wongerrrrs Trademarked by 2Ns,1Y,..and it’s exactly who you thiiiiink! Oh and i quote @7:20 “Case,..Cloooosed” 😂
Yay! I’ve been looking forward to this because Madisynn is hilarious! I even told a friend, “The new life motto is ‘What Would Madisynn do?” 🙂 I like how the beginning has Wong dancing lol 🙂 Hahahaha “no one is impressed” “What am I doing here?” LOL 🙂 LoL it was fun seeing Madisynn drop in as Wong was perusal TV lol :). “What’s your first date going to be? WEBINAR?” LOL Haha I didn’t catch Wong noticing Nikki and smiling the first time. Good catch. LOL the shaking effect when she was saying “Then I kinda like browned out” LOL :). LOL it was fun how she spoiled things. I love the shaking effect at “DONNY BLAZE” “Book of Vishanti?” “No…the book of American laws” 🙂 I wish Wong was real. I’d ask him to make a business card for me Lol. Ouch. Jen’s shocked realization that it’s Saturday is what I’ve been through a few times during the last couple years. LOL. This pandemic has warped my understanding of time at times LoL That guy asking about Jen’s skin was so sus. I heard some theorize that he might be part of the Wrecking Crew. I think he may well be. I’d like it if both Madisynn were to join Wong in making cameos in so many shows lol. :). I love the post-credit scene. Wong and Madisynn are awesome :). “Wongers!” (Dances) lol 🙂 Such a fun episode. Very cool article too! Awesome compilation! Have a great weekend, Maria!
Okay, I feel like this show gets a lot of hate, and it’s honestly not that bad. Just the part where she compares her being a woman to Bruce LITERALLY trying to kill himself, and the end where she uses her fourth wall breaking powers to shoe horn in an ending. But other then that it’s actually pretty good 😊 And the friendship between Madysinn and Wong was nice 😊
I have seen some pretty severe bashing of the show and I can understand why. HOWEEEVEEEEEERRRRR, this show is rather charming and a nice break from all of the violence and the despair that being at the brink of disaster requires in a superhero franchise. I like this breather. I’ve always been a fan of Tatiana since Orphan Black and happy to see more of her. I love Wong’s character and Madisynn’s persona is such a bizarre contrast to his which is super entertaining in the brief episodes of them together. Sometimes interpersonal stresses can be worse than a supernatural or alien invasion and what most of us deal with on a daily basis. For now, I can use a shift in gears after all of the adrenaline from the prior Marvel (and DC) movies and shows. If they can build up and make these characters relatable, the more currency they will have for the future big movies with them in it IMO.
I hate all the “tip toeing” comments who don’t want to admit that they ship those two. Fr wouldn’t mind if they end up together, in fact I👏 hope👏 they 👏do👏. I’m placing all my money that all the “I love their friendship 🥰” has a friend who is madly in love with them- I’ve seen it happening way to many times when in school, and now at my job! I get that some of you only want a friendship but you have to understand that one can’t help having feelings for someone who is such wonderful human being. Believe it or not being kind and respectful is an attractive quality to have in a relationship 😀 You don’t have to return their feelings but don’t belittle/make fun of/laugh at them either. Sheesh
Episode 4 is my favorite with episode 1 being a close second. They emulate what She-Hulk should emulate. Don’t get me wrong, every episode has at least a few scenes that make me laugh out loud. But I think, for the most part, She hulk is trying too hard to be woke. I’m all for a show/ movie being woke if it’s used to proper comedic effect (like in the Adam Project, Free guy, or Deadpool) or it makes the plot more compelling (like in Stranger Things season 4) or both (like Netflix’s Don’t look up). But, between episodes 1 and 4, She-hulk primarily took more of a Santa Inc or family guy approach to being woke. It’s still there in episodes 1 and 4 but it’s dialed down to where it’s funny instead of trying too hard to be funny. She hulks Episodes 1 and 4 have more of the humor that, in my opinion, is best suited for the show. Episode 1 has “self-critiquing”, “fan service”, and referential humor. Episode 4 had “Shaung chi and the 10 rings” sort of humor, madisynn and wongers, and that one scene with She hulk threatening the magicians with the demon. Both episodes have comedic fourth wall breaks and awesome superhero action almost on par with Deadpool. I’m not saying She-Hulk is a bad show, there are only four episodes so far, but I think it works best when it takes an approach more like episodes 1 and 4.
If this show wasn’t forcing counter productive/stereotypical feminist propaganda (which real feminist think is BS, I’m not a feminist) and also trying to stay mainstream relevant with cameos that include rappers like Megan Thee Stallion it would be more enjoyable to watch. With that being said: Can’t wait for the 2nd season of Moon Knight! Maria you’re the sh**! And I love your articles, I get to laugh out loud and feel happy while going through a serious depression. ❤❤❤
It’s electric!!! Say what you will but I for one have enjoyed she-hulk as a fun 30 minute show. The dialog is intelligent and jokes go over some simple people sometimes. Basic minded people just want graphics and a dark origin story they need to go cry about dark knight was the best movie of all time. I for one am glad we have this breath of fresh air.
No one in this show is likeable at all. I’m not rooting for anyone. I don’t care about anyone. I’m supposed to care about this? Show you know there’s a serious problem with the writing when the only character I’ve related to in 6 episodes is the guy who can’t die and jumps out a window because he also doesn’t wanna be a part of the shows plot.
