Wedding veil etiquette is a significant aspect of a wedding, with the right veil creating a memorable moment on the day and in wedding photography. The chapel veil, a practice dating back to the early Church, is still observed by many women today. The bridal veil is worn over the face as the bride walks down the aisle or during the ceremony. Popular styles include the blush veil, a short veil that covers just the face, and the cathedral veil, a dramatic, floor-length veil that creates a regal and romantic look.
The veil is traditionally lifted by the bride’s father to present her daughter to her new husband, or the groom may lift it for the vows or for the kiss. The bride can also lift her veil. There are many styles of veils, and not all cover the face. Some brides opt for other options like tiaras or hair accessories instead.
The veil stays down throughout the ceremony, with the best man or groom lifting it before signing the Ketubah (Jewish marriage contract). The veil can be lifted at any stage of the ceremony, but is most often done at the start. The veil requires the groom to be reminded that marriage is not only physical but also spiritual.

When to Take Your Veil Off. Taking off your veil is totally up to you. Some brides, especially those wearing longer veils, opt to take their veils off after the ceremony and once pictures are done, so they have a little more ease of movement during cocktail hour and the reception. Others swap the longer style for a short blusher so they can maintain their bridal look without risking having their veil stepped on while dancing.
If youre wearing a blusher over your face during the ceremony, look into two-piece veils, where the blusher and the longer veil are separate. Then have the longer piece removed while leaving the blusher in place.
How to Keep Your Veil in Place. While the comb attached to a veil can be fairly secure, the last thing you want is your veil blowing off mid-ceremony! Instead, after your veil is positioned correctly, grab a few bobby pins that match your hair color. As you can see from the photos, it was an impromptu moment. We had a few problems, like wearing heels, my dad and I being the same height, not practicing, and only having 5 minutes to prepare. I have to say I enjoyed this wedding much more than I expected. A perfect interaction of British tradition and American as well as African culture including a remarkable marriage sermon by a man who actually made people listen to his message, and a sensational gospel choir that provided incredibly emotional, authentic moments! Kate and Will’s wedding ceremony primarily looked like an act of state, this was one particular couple’s wedding ceremony! Very nice! 👏💛

Either way you gonna hate her so just dont comment stupid stuff and congratulate the newly weds cause they are gonna be together forever and you cant do anything about it
This union gives so much hope for the unification of nations. I don’t believe people realize the powerful significance of this marriage. This is so much more than just 2 people marrying in the royal family. This is the beginning of people coming together regardless of race. Truly historic and will change the way people view interracial relations as we know it among other political mindsets for the betterment or nations. They’ll bring positive change, no doubt about it.
I have totally changed my opinion of Prince Charles. It was amazing that he took Meghan under his arm and walked her down the isle and welcomed her as his daughter in law. To me that was just amazing, what a gentleman. It is such a shame that Meghan’s family are such losers, but she came through it with grace, Not a bad word from her. It must have hurt her immensely with her father, but a very good thing that her mother stood by her side. I wish the couple much happiness for many years.
As an immigrant from Colombia To Canada found a british Guy felt in love. They are the most polite and kind To bad did not ask me To merry him. God bless him where ever he is. Actually (british accent) i know where he is. He said he was not ready To merry his firts love ( meaning me). He had To meet more people. So i bougth him a box with 30 units condoms on it and told him go and experiment some other girls and call me when you ready. He never did. He when back To Europe and had a baby with his coworker. So i guess he never open my gift box.
Her dress is beautifully designed and it shows that she’s there for a marriage not a flashy wedding.I loved that we saw lots of smiles between them.Although the Royal family are not known for their huge amount of warmth, you can tell that they adore her.Especially Charles, his father and the Queen. Who really is totally elated for her Grandson and Megan. I think this is a really beautiful shift of how the Royals have decided to become more loving and inclusive.Queen Elizabeth now knows the commitment of her family and she can slow her pace. The Monarch now has lots of different capable hands and they are all about keeping it real and modern.
I love how she always looks stunning and natural. She is mixed like me, and to see her freckles on display just makes me smile. She doesn’t hide what makes her so beautiful and that includes the elements of her culture that were on display in this wedding. The speech by Bishop Curry and singing Stand by Me from the Kingdom Choir were nice touches. I wish them all the best!
“Marriage is the canvas that God has given a man and a woman to create beautiful artwork. LOVE is the paint that gives color and COMMUNICATION is the brush that applies it. Blessed is the WIFE who never let’s her paint run dry, and happy is the HUSBAND who knows where to dip his brush.” Congrats to Prince Harry & Meghan Markle! 💕
I saw the wedding. I celebrated with you Megen and Harry. Please always remember your wedding vows, lock them in your Hearts. There is a covenant between you both and GOD. So let no one come between what GOD has put together. Be Blessed and may GOD continue to bless you both. Sincerely Lisa Herrera. YOU both still give the little girl inside of me Hope…..😍😍😍
She shouldnt have worn white as a divorcee. and you know what, she definitely doesnt love harry, she just loves the lifestyle he can give her. I see right through her. Also idk how she suddenly accquired all of these celebrity “friends” when she was just a hardly known actress with a minor role in a show that wasnt even that popular until she met Harry. This whole affair just makes me sick, I see right through it all
Utterly awkward and tedious. Had to turn the website quite a few times. They should’ve had an intimate wedding. She looked so uncomfortable up there. But absolutely stunning. The dress was sophisticated and gorgeous but, only on her. I doubt anyone else could’ve given the same effect to it as she did. She’s right to want to be in a more private setting in her marriage and the birth of her child.
Beautiful stunning dress it melts my heart to see how in love Harry and Meghan are with each other and the loving looks they have for each other. Congratulations to both of them I wish them all the happens in the world and a long life full of love. I know Diana is beaming with happiness and pride for her son and daughter in law both her sons have become amazing kind genus young men and so are her daughter in laws.
So happy for them! I don’t understand all the hate. They look like they are so happy together. And why are so many people cutting up the way she looked? So what if her dress was plain? I personally hate getting dressed up so I like things plain. Why does everything have to be all “glamorous,” she looked amazing! It was simple yet beautiful. Congrats to them!

Indians are good in adapting others culture too. I wish we must learn the simplicity royal family have in their weddings. In india few people are spending millions in their weddings. And still few take wedding as a opportunity to show off their wealth. I believe once the entire world follow wedding as simple ceremony as its just a new life of two hearts.
As I look at this couple, I can see realness, you can see the love for each other. There are tons of pictures of Meghan and her ex Trevor all over, she doesnt look happy . Here in this article she is super happy and Harry is just as happy. They are a perfect couple. They have great chemistry. I wish them the best. God bless them.
