The Dragon King’s Bride is a Romance, Fantasy webcomic created by SOY MEDIA and original work by Kanghee Jamae. Ten years ago, a young girl saved the life of a dragon, but they were brought together again by the vicissitudes of fate when Lucina’s family estate was invaded by the fearsome Tayar nation led by King Hakan. After Lucina’s selfish stepmother offers her up as a bride to Hakan in exchange for their lives, she realizes she is now fated to journey to the arid kingdom of Tayar.
The storyline is interesting, as a girl who slips back in time to a different era finds herself in a place that seems like Japan from ancient times. A powerful clan takes her in, but the reason for their kindness is that they intend to sacrifice their lives.
The Dragon King summons any woman of age who has never been bedded or wedded to participate in the selection games for Queen Consort. The latest episode of The Dragon Kings Bride is available on the WEBTOON official site for free, every Wednesday. The storyline is interesting, but there could have been more depth and character development.

What is dragon called in Korea?
Hi, everyone! In this post, Ill be writing about the history of dragons, focusing on my favorite, Korean dragons. Yes, Korea has its own dragons, known as Yeong – 용.
Dragons have always captured peoples fascination, both East and West. Tales of these giant beasts started when ancient peoples first unearthed dinosaur bones and made up stories to explain such odd creatures. As one example, Chang Qu, a 4th-century Chinese historian, noted that villagers in Sichuan discovered “dragon bones” in 300 BC. In fact, the Chinese word for dinosaur, 恐龙, translates to “terrorizing dragon.”
Dragons in other cultures. Its amazing that almost every culture around the world has its own story of a giant serpentine monster. They take many forms and have evolved greatly over the millennia. There are snakelike creatures with no legs like the Leviathan from Abrahamic religions, the Ouroboros from Ancient Egypt which would come to be an important symbol in alchemy centuries later, and the Vritra from Hinduism which has striking similarities to the lore surrounding Chinese dragons. There are multi-headed dragons like the Hydra from Greece; dragons that look like fish, such as the Imugi from Korean mythology; there are even human-snake-fish combos like Fuxi from China and also giant rainbow dragons, known as Ayida-Weddo, from Benin. Rainbows! Pretty! Of course, there are the more well-known four-legged dragons, such as Fafnir in Norse mythology, the Piasa from Native American mythology, and others.
Over the centuries, tales of these giant monsters would gradually merge into two main types of dragons in the popular imagination, European dragons and Asian dragons.

Each book tells a complete story but also gives a cliffhanger for the next book. They are simple and safe for younger audiences while still managing a cool story for older. My daughter does get a little frustrated when every book recaps the basics you already knew from the previous books.
A Lot or a Little?. What you will—and wont—find in this book.
In the DRAGON MASTERS series, a magical Dragon Stone chooses a few lucky kids to live at King Rowlands castle as dragon trainers, then carefully matches the right dragon to each trainer. But as the dragon masters discover, that match is just the beginning. Each young trainer must connect with his or her dragon to discover its powers, and the connection never comes as easily or quickly as one might like. In the first book, while 8-year-old Drake struggles with his connection to Worm, his dragon, hes joined by fellow young trainers Rori, Bo, and Ana, who all face their own struggles. Throughout the series, the young dragon masters help new trainers fit in, building friendships and boosting one anothers confidence while they fight evil forces.
Families can talk about how hard the dragon masters work to keep a strong connection to their dragon. These relationships take effort and trust. How does that work in your own friendships?
Who is the most powerful dragon in Korea?
I thought I solved the ‘mysteryof the dragon with antlers but I was still curious about the actual dragons of Korea, so I decided to keep researching. Like the Kirin, the Korean dragon is also benevolent and peaceful with a strong connection to nature. There are three types of Korean dragons: Yong, the most powerful, protects the skies, Yo is a hornless dragon who lives in the ocean, and Dwell is a dragon that lives in the mountains. The Korean dragon is also a symbol of protection; it is believed the Korean dragon protects humans and wards off evil spirits. For this reason dragon masks are a common feature in Korean homes, especially on doors to protect the household.

What do Koreans think of dragons?
# 2 Opening: The Dragon is the fifth animal of the twelve zodiac animals. The Dragon guards the hours from 7 oclock to 9 oclock in the morning. Dragon Month corresponds to the third month of the lunar calendar. Since ancient times, the Dragon has unchangingly been an auspicious creature, and dreaming about a dragon was considered the best dream. In Korean culture, the Dragon symbolized courage, extraordinariness, and hope. Among the twelve zodiac animals, the Dragon appears as one of the four patron saints (四神) in the Goguryeo dynasty, along with White Tiger (白虎), Red Phoenix (朱雀), and Black Tortoise (玄武). Yongduam (龍頭岩) Rock on Jeju Island comes with a legend of a soaring dragon hardening and becoming a rock. The highest goal of the Dragon is to rise to heaven. Only ascension can complete a dragon.
# 3 The Dragon, the god born in water: The Dragon lives in water, protects the water, and controls rain. To overcome a drought, a rain-calling ceremony is performed for the Dragon God. Fishing villagers living along the sea held ceremonial rituals to wish for big haul and safe voyage.
# 4 The Dragon as the symbol of a king: To the ancient people, the Dragon was the creature with the highest authority due to its power to control water and fly in the sky. This was the reason the Dragon was used as the emblem representing the royal court based on the animals sacred authority and power. All things associated with the king were associated with the Dragon. It was only natural for the ancient people to connect their reverence and respect for the Dragon with its mythical power with the symbol of their king.

Thanks for perusal yet another read-through of a webtoon original! What’s the webtoons’/mangas’ etc. obsession with evil tyrants types that turn out to be ”nice” to their significant other? It’s usually they just look ”scary” (handsome) and everybody else is an idiot. Or they really that bad but the reader is supposed to forget that because they blushed when someone gave them a compliment.
My problem with it is that the protagonist lacks agency. There’s nothing special about her character that peaks interest. I would write her differently and have her be like, after suffering years of abuse from her step mother she decides to poison her the night she’s supposed to leave for the bad dude she was supposed to get married too. But then the dragon raid happens and there’s chaos everywhere. She takes the opportunity to k!ll her stepmother right there. Hakan sees this and is intrigued by her and also impressed. Then he GIVES HER THE OPTION, to go with them because the castle is burning down. She agrees because she doesn’t want to die.
How to fix this comic: 1. Have the protagonist save him when he was a SMALL DRAGON. There isn’t age gap problem anymore and would make sense as to why she would want to take care of it. (PS: I don’t know if she having healing powers is going to be relevant later in the story, but you could have her just take care of his wound normaly wihout all this magical crap.) 2. Show the humans attacking and hunting dragons FIRST (because they irrationaly fear then), and have the dragons attack the castle in relataliation (giving humans a reason to fear them) instead of the grave robbing stuff. Have a scenario where both sides are in the wrong. Done (at least for these first chapter’s I don’t know how much worse this comic is going to get).
XD to tell the truth I think the writer should have gone crazy with the dragon being a monster. Like have him try too feed her human meat and be completely chill about it and see nothing wrong with what he is doing. Also the carriage would be made out of bones. Just go nuts with it and turn it into a dark comedy 😂
Y’know, sometimes with how bad writing is these days, I think readers have something to look forward to with AI taking over the industry. I even say that as a writer myself, it’s just insane how many bad stories there are nowadays 😣 I know AI hasn’t quite gotten the hang of developmental editing, but perhaps once it does these kind of bad low-effort writers can take advantage of it to fix these dumpster fire stories and prevent the market from being filled with so much trash.
srt(edt)art no too bad..?…for webtoo(n). kinda like the dragon king, looks the part, like, same as he did when she was preadolescent(?)…?..oh, you noti(c)ed too. “ok…’SLEEP” together but…no bones, old dog(?)!”. y’know?…think threatened her either become his betrothed or else (gash!) because he knew she was fearless?…uhh…so wasn’t actually ask…hmm..oh well, guess maybe he was. hmmm?…may be liked it ’cause perusal your hair dry was fun?
I stoped reading this up till Chapter 37 due to a lot of miscommunications between characters. Having only one enemy that somehow isn’t even suspected who is against the FL and using others as their puppets to harm the main characters. I mean I just went to chapter 60 just to see if the evil character is there and lo and behold they are alive and plotting. Also, whenever a victim is used by the evil character they are immediately offed with no questioning or proof of evidence of their actions. There are better longer plots in graphic novels than this garbage of an unfinished series. Read ‘Red River’ manga, a lot better and constantly new characters with origin stories and arch’s. There were a lot of things I wanted to able to yeet the author out of a window for the repeat of plots.
Why is three episodes 4 hours long??? 😂😂 but it’s still great because I can waste my time and watch this which is WONDERFULLL but also, WHY DOES HAKAN HAVE BETTER AND LONGER HAIR THAN MOST WOMEN…..BOYS JUST WASH THEIR HAIR ( some times without shampoo) AND HAVE PERFECT HAIR?!!?! I’M SORRY BUT THIS IS UNFAIRRR 😢😢😢😢😢
