When reaching Support Level C or higher with any character, check your notebook to check on the likes and dislikes of certain characters. Gifts can be obtained by interacting with glowing areas on the ground and giving them to your allies to increase your support.
Chapter 12 introduces Timerra, a recruitable character from Elusia, who can be found on the Somniel running the Flea Market. As you progress through the main story, you’ll soon find three types of gift items each visit: Manure and Pretty Pebble.

Is Byleth canonically a boy or girl?
The Fire Emblem series has had avatars since the fourth main entry. You can choose your character’s gender, but not everything is customizable. Which gender is right for each avatar? Neither, but there are details that support one or the other in various crossovers. Let’s see which version is generally favored by Intelligent Systems. Let’s go back to the beginning and see if we can untangle this mess of a canon. Welcome to Canon Ball. Fire Emblem Heroes has multiple versions of many characters, including the alternate genders for the avatars, so I don’t put much stock in that. In Super Smash Bros, all FE avatars are male for palette 1. We won’t use this as evidence unless there’s nothing else. The first avatar is Mark from The Blazing Blade. There’s no customization here, so we can move on. The idea later came back for New Mystery of the Emblems Kris. Here, you can customize your character’s gender. The game uses a male Kris. Kris only appears in Heroes, so let’s move on to Robin. He makes his only prominent appearance in Fire Emblem Warriors. Both are in the game, but the male version is in the story, and the female version is in the side mode. Next is Corrin from Fates. Like Robin, Corrin appears in Warriors, but only as a female in the story mode and as a male in the other mode. Engage uses the female version too. Kiran from Heroes has nine appearances, one ambiguous and four per sex. The story cinematics use an ambiguous design, but any other design would look the same with the hood up, except for darker-skinned, longer-haired, and larger-chested characters. I’d go with the default. Byleth from Three Houses is interesting. Engage uses the male Byleth for the Emblem Ring. The Heroes Forging Bonds event introduced Byleth and the house leaders to the world of Heroes. It used the female version, but male Byleth came to the game later. And Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes shows both Byleth and Shez, but the trailer, ads, and cover focus on male Shez and female Byleth. The game defaults to female for Byleth and male for Shez. Female Byleth is better. We only have the announcement trailer for Alear, which uses the male version. The female version is in the new Forging Bonds event, but the male version isn’t in the game yet. So the most canonical versions of each Fire Emblem avatar are: Mark, Male Kris, Male Robin, Female Corrin, Default Kiran, Female Byleth, Male Shez, Female Alear. If you’re playing as Male Alear, you’re playing it wrong. Subscribe to my Patreon to support me! If not, share it with your enemies.
