September and October are great months to get married because it’s still warm but not too cold. The leaves changing colors is a bonus of beauty at that time of year. I’d be so jazzed to hear pizza was the dinner at a wedding. Small portions and weird sauces isn’t my vibe. Weddings are special but they should also not be awkward with food people don’t really care for but are supposed to be impressed by because the type of food is considered fancy/expensive. Give me pizza and wings if you actually want me to come to your wedding. Small portions and weird sauces get an automatic “no” on the RSVP from me.
The third venue is so magical – I love the glass ceiling and skyline views! We also did an outside caterer and BYOB – it was the perfect way to have food that was really special to us (a casual and light Vietnamese menu) and not blow our budget on drinks. We got all the alcohol from Total Wine which allows you to return unopened extras. Good luck with your planning 🙂
As for the bar. I would say buy the booze yourselves make sure it’s refundable for whatever is left over and just hire 2-3 bartenders! I used to fantasize about a big wedding but as I’m getting older I want more of a small intimate wedding now. I would really want to enjoy mine and not be too exhausted by people and pictures! Congrats! Excited for you both
