The fact that Chandler walked Phoebe down the aisle was just beautiful. We couldn’t really see much of Phoebe and Chandler’s friendship. She had more sweet moments with Ross and even more with Joey, but this scene was just special. And also, Chandler bonded with Monica and even with Rachel more given their history, but never really with Phoebe
Phoebe had the best wedding on the show . It may not be as fancy as the other weddings on the show but the fact that it was connected with so many emotions makes it beautiful. The venue is just perfect Bcuz phoebe had many memories on the streets . The person playing instrument was close to phoebe . And all of her friends got to play a special role . Rachel was a bridesmaid, Ross was a groomsman, Monica was maid of honor, Chandler played the role of a dad and Joey officiated the wedding. The way this scene is executed is just beautiful.
I know some people will disagree, but I dont give AF. I think that this is the best wedding in pretty much every show that someone has got married in. They married in a beautiful setting, at a perfect time, and Phoebe didn’t care whether or not she could possibly freeze to death because she loves Mike too much. Such a lovely couple.
This is my favorite scene of all the shows I’ve ever watched. It is my favorite character Phoebe Buffay getting married. There’re so many reasons for which I love Phoebe that I cannot enumerate them all. Just to name a few: she is so generous, even in her unemployed days she lent money to Monica so Monica could start a catering business; she is so considerate, letting Monica pursue the dream of being a head chef even when she promised Phoebe to carry on the already heavily invested catering business; she is so selfless, agreeing to be the surrogate for her half-brother even though she knew it’s going to be hard to give up the babies, on top of being an abandoned chid herself; she is so supportive, helping Ross and Rachel get back together, helping Joey rehearse and learn French, naming one of the triplets after Chandler so he wouldn’t be so down. She is truly the person with the greatest heart of all. For a long time, I became so obsessed with her that I even picked my significant others partially based on how they perceived Phoebe. That is why this scene matters so much to me. After all the traumas she’d been through (losing her mother to suicide, father running out on her, learning later that she was abandoned, living with a drug addict, having to beg for money, etc.), she never lost faith, nor the sight of the beautiful things in life. She determined to love life and finally Mike, the man that appreciates all the lovely weird parts of her, came along and decided to love her dearly.
During this quarantine I’m binge perusal friends and I’m kinda emotional knowing that I’m only 5 episodes away to the ending. And this wedding of phoebe makes me so happy because my favorite song was played while she’s walking down the aisle. This is surreal. My favorite song on my favorite show. Just wow
Even though my favourite couple is Mondler, but perusal Phoebe getting married is beautiful in a different way. Like I get way too happy for how he found her lobster. Despite her hard past life, she always was the sunshine of the group and I am so happy she found a guy like Mike. She doesn’t emanate any of the darkness she has been through. This show really shaped my views on family it doesn’t have to be the one your born into or share dna with. The bond is whst makes a family. Monica is the “mom” she puts together dinners cleans the house takes care of everyone. Chandler is the best dad u could ask for he is funny, loveable and he accepted everyone as they are he provided for those he loved, and ( mathew may you always be remembered as the beautiful soul ). Rachel was the sister her youthful bond with Monica and he playful loving way she was Phoebe. Ross was the older brother, he was dorky and clumsy but he loved everyone and was genuinely happy for each of them in their moments he is always a romantic ” big shcok i like proposals ” lol iconic ross ! And joey last but least he always gave baby brother attitude playful, he seemed to have less responsibility and maturity but he understood and respected everyone and he carried emotions for each of them in a beautiful way his strong bond with Chandler he loved him like a real brother an i think even in their own way Joey looked up to him like a father figure because Chandler was always taking care of him . Ross an joey are the best example of how people can be so different you couldn’t imagine them being friends but they are family joey is more confident and extroverted so he sticks up for ross and ross is there as the older brother who does the right thing and mayb is clutzy and awkward but he loves him family and sees the potential in joey and i think thats why they kinda rub off different from Chandler n joey because ross finds it very hard to be so laxed n he also sees that joey could achieve more if he tried .
