  • I want you to know that I’m reading all these comments and I wish I could answer every single one, but its pretty impossible to do being on the road, in the studio, writing sessions, etc. I’m going to try here and there as much as I can. But even if I could answer all of them I would probably just be saying the same thing over and over which is I’m so so sorry for your loss. I really do keep all of you in my prayers. And I am truly humbled that this song is bringing even the slightest peace to you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God Bless you all.

  • Just heard song for the first time. I bured my Lucy (Lynzee Ford Kilgore Texas in 2014). I hate cancer. Her story went world wind. My heart is hurting. What does a mom do. She said Stay Calm and Never Give Up to fight no matter what. I honor of my daughter wishes and I will keep paying it forward till my last breath. My town was by her side all the way. To anyone who heard her story, prayed or gave I send a nation wide thank you.

  • R.I.P James Leslie Frazier Jr, my sweet husband, 1/15/23, and James Leslie Frazier Sr, my amazing father in law, 5/14/23. This song gives me so much peace. Every time it comes on, I look up at the sky and sing as loud as I can hoping maybe they can hear me. Thank you, for creating this beautiful piece of heaven.

  • I’m not a fan of country music, BUT this was absolutely beautiful. The lyrics sing to those of us in the darkest parts of grief. No one can tell anyone how to grieve, but we can speak to each other’s feelings of pain. Thank you for the thought, care, and truth all of you put into building this amazing song.❤

  • I lost my dad to numerous types of cancer 2 February 2023. I had to watch as the cancer tore through his body. At the end after 3 days of constant moaning he lost the battle and all that was left was skin and bone, nothing else. Today is 14 months since his passing. I get very emotional on every 2nd day of every month. I know it sounds cruel, but I prayed that God would just take him, so that he didn’t have any pain anymore a d I know he’s in a better place where he doesn’t hurt anymore….. BUT IT JUST DOES NOT GET BETTER FOR ME. I MISS HIM WITH MY WHOLE HEART. YOUR SONG IS BEAUTIFUL AND ALTHOUGH IT ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY….. I COULDN’T HAVE EXPLAINED HOW I FEEL BETTER THAN THE EXACT WORDS OF YOUR SONG. KEEP WELL.

  • For everyone in the comments who has lost someone who will lose someone in the future, I am deeply sorry for your loss! I lost my dad at 15, it’s been 10 years since that horrible day. But just know yes it never gets easier, but it will eventually get easier to handle. Take time to heal. And don’t rush the process. ❤

  • My 15 year old nephew lost his battle to Osteosarcoma last week on July 18, 2023. This song was definitely a gift from god as I needed a song I could really get behind. I wish I could afford to fly you out to sing it at his celebration of life but every penny I can spare is going to the family to help them were given 3 days to mourn the loss of their only child and that’s not enough.

  • Lost my wife July 23 2023. She turned 32 in the hospital. She was diagnosed with glioblastoma two months prior and she just withered away. We have a 4 year old little girl and she has a 12 year old girl that was hers from another guy. She was my step daughter for the past 5 years. She went to live with her dad after she passed. My heart continues to break. I miss my family and how things were more than I can even put into words. I appreciate this song. Thank you for writing it!

  • COOPER, You will never know how much this song helped me and the Mother of my dear friend that we lost way too SOON on the very day that you came out with your demo!! I continue to listen to it as I will NEVER NOT REMEMBER my dear Friend, Debbie Doo!!! ❤

  • My dad lost his leg when he was 7 in a farming accident, then was paralyzed from the waist down in 98. 25 years later after still farming and doing everything he could for many years the antibiotics finally killed his liver and I’m sitting with this amazing man in his death bed when I heard this clip. Not sure how we will get along with out him

  • My beautiful son passed away unexpectedly on January 14 2024. He was only 27. When we were looking for songs to play with the photo montage at his funeral we came across this song. • I lost my 22 year old son to suicide just last month June 19th I have been following you and this song and it has resonated so deep with me. I have been waiting for the release and perusal intently. Just to be amazed that those that love my son have been following to unknown by myself. Everyone today was so excited and posted this. It was like Tory reached down and chose your song for all of us hurting right now. Thank you so much for this song. It will always mean so much to us and help in the time we need to hear it. So many people gave their condolences but they felt like empty words then my sister sent me this song, word for word it captured what I was feeling. This song meant more to me that long lonely night than you could ever know. Thank you. Andre, South Africa.

  • My family had the joy of our daughter for 55 years and lost her Christmas 2023. I unexpectedly came across this song and sent it as a “memorial” to the Family Whats App on her anniversary. At first I wept every time I played it but now it brings me such comfort and joy and not a day goes by that I would miss listening to it again. Thank you Cooper Alan team from across the pond in London UK.

  • Our family has endured so much pain in the last year. We lost my Grandma last February on Valentine’s Day, 10 days later we lost my Dad, and 4 months later we lost my Grandpa. My Mom lost her husband and both of her parents within 6 months. Your song really hit hard and alot of those feelings came flooding back. It’s a beautiful song and I’ve shared it with so many of my family members. It’s songs like these that help families like mine get through those hard times so thank you ❤️

  • My first loss was my youngest son and grandson unexpectedly 17 years ago. My husband died in 2021 and 16 months later my oldest son died unexpectedly on February 14th 2023. This song definitely describes the emotions and pain we feel with grief. Thank you to you and your team for your insight and compassion.❤

  • You guy’s just made my day, January 15 2023 we lost our 25 year old son due to a motorcycle accident. Had just gotten out of he’s new found church, we spoke that day and 4 hours later he went home forever. Your song has touched my inner most being. You and your writer friends are a wealthy group and deserve much success. Thank you for thinking about all of us that go on life with so much pain and hurt. Remembering James 25 Joe & Sheryl ❤️

  • seriously one of THE BEST songs I’ve ever heard. I lost my dad 7 years ago and there has never been a song that explained the way I feel more than this song. It is everything I feel in such a beautiful way. The way you capture the feeling of losing someone…. Thank you for writing this. It’s sad but joyful all in one. I’m just one of MANY lives you will touch with this song. ❤️❤️

  • My 24 year old daughter passed away suddenly in April. When I heard this song it expressed all the feelings I have had since that day. I have listened to this beautiful song at least once a day or more since it was released. I have shared it with so many other people who have been touched by it too. Thank you so much for this song and the wonderful way you sing it. It is a comfort to me at this difficult time. ❤❤❤

  • We lost our 26 year old son suddenly on 01/25/2023 in a work accident. I cried when I first heard the tease clip and really cried hearing the entire song. Every word described him perfectly. I have shared this song with many family members. Just can’t say enough how much this song means and helps with healing.❤

  • I just lost my mom, my best friend in the world . Within 8 months she was gone. But had so many laughs, and new memories before she passed. This was a strong woman . She literally worked with bladder cancer over 3 years . In Feb 3, 2023 she went in for new stints and removal of one kidney. Well she came out with both, it had spread to the point there was nothing they could do. But so thankful for every memory. My mother watched a sister burn and die, then buried my sister the baby 13 years ago, fought cancer twice and beat it once . But God needed her more. To all of your hearts I pray for peace . It’s not easy. In a span of 8 years, I buried my dad, my baby sister, and now my mom. Hardest thing ever. But knowing we had private times we shared with each other I’m thankful. I love and pray for you all..

  • Thank you for finishing the song. I commented when you released the first clip. My son committed suicide July 5, 2021. I miss him terribly. This song speaks values. Also, since the release of the teaser, I was stunned to find out one of his loves… was murdered by a fentanyl over-dose, May 5, 2023. Her mother and I have been supporting each other through all the grief and pain of losing our babies who we know have been reunited in Heaven. I’m sure he met her at the gates. Again, thank you. I am sure I’ll listen to this song daily. It hits the right spot in my broken heart.

  • My husband died by suicide on February 13, 2020. This song has brought me more comfort than any other. Bob was the type of man who helped everybody. He loved winter and using the snow blower to do all the neighbor’s driveways and sidewalks. Pulled over to help anybody who was stuck, broke down, or walking. I love him and miss him every day. Ty, for this gift

  • This song could not have come at a more perfect time. On August 26, 2022, we had a 60th birthday party for me. We had so much fun. On August 27, 2022, our lives changed when our nephew passed away at the age of 50. He had heart problems that no one knew about. His mom found him and we have all not been the same since. We are coming up on his anniversary. So thank you for this song. ❤️

  • My daughter passed away 8 years ago 7/28/15. I went cemetery feeling that great loss. I’ve been caring for her grandsons and love them, thinking how much she’s missing, knowing she’s in heaven perusal them. I had no words for my grief then I heard your song and you said it all. Thank you so much, this song is for Amber❤

  • Lost my Mom suddenly on May 10th and have been selfishly questioning God’s plan. I found your clips of this song awhile ago…I’ve been anxiously waiting for this day! Bless you for comforting us and lifting us up and reminding us of the angels amongst us as we sojourn along our grief-filled journeys.

  • I lost my twin sister when we were 20….a week before my son, my only child, was born. He passed away at 25. I stumbled onto these poems a few years later, and it applies to both losses. I loved you your whole life, and I’ll miss you the rest of mine. Loved from your first breath, missed until my last.

  • I lost my beloved husband 2 years ago suddenly and unexpectedly. I just heard this song for the first time today, and don’t believe it was just by chance, as his birthday is tomorrow. He would have been 66. Thank you and all who were involved in writing such a beautiful song in tribute to those who we lost, and those who have lost. God Bless You!

  • I lost my brother and my person a year ago on 9/11/22 at 3:30 a.m. to cancer that took him in a short 9 months. Your song is the essence of my brother, Ed. He lit up the room, made us laugh, made us cry, made us think, made us feel. I miss him bad. Thank you for this song to listen to when I needed a moment of my brother.

  • It’s been 18 months since my only child of 24 took her life. I still feel like Im in hell. I havnt yet reached the point of finding memories healing, I hope to get there one day. It is my job now to keep her memory alive for her two babies she left behind. Your song and the comments from your fans help me to feel a little less alone in my grief. Thank you, you have a big heart and I wish you much success with this song, I enjoy following your career. Much love ❤❤❤

I miss her so much she was the most beautiful woman in the world inside and out. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you and everyone involved in the production of it.

  • This song strikes resonance for everyone who has lost a love in their life, me included. You do heel somewhat, but you never forget and the pain of that loss never goes away. What you have left in the end is the thoughts of all the good times and the knowledge that you will meet again. \r It was 8 short wonderful years. I love you Linda and will keep you in my heart until we are together once more.\r Thank you Cooper Alan for this song.

  • ❤❤Thanks Coop you helped me get over the loss of my grandfather that I was very close to. So I just wanted to say thank you to you for helping me even though you might not have known. You are doing a fantastic job at writing songs from up beat party banger songs to slower songs filled with emotion. I can definitely tell that this wasn’t your first rodeo for writing songs (lol). It’s an amazing beautiful song that has a really deep meaning to it. Glad I got to see you at Country Fest at Clay’s over the summer!!❤❤ Sending prayers to all of those who are dealing with the loss of a loved one

  • This says everything about how I’m feeling about my dear friend! Even though it’s been almost 3 years since he left us, I’m still on that roller coaster, but the good days, the happy days, the days without tears or the crushing ache in my heart are getting more frequent. Thank you for being ‘rral’, and singing about things that are true to life. You are a gem, dear sir! Much love to you! 🥰

  • Cooper, I heard this song when you first released it and I loved it. I started following you because of it. I just lost my mother who had turned 100 last September. She had a long life, and even though we knew her time was limited, things happened so fast. This morning I came across the YouTube short of this song, and just had to play it again in the long form. Thank you for putting words to music that express how I feel inside. ❤

  • I stayed up waiting for this song to drop!! Thanks Cooper for this song, Like far too many, this song has true meaning for me and I posted on social media in memory of my son Jason, forever 8 and my daughter, Rhonie, forever 5 who died together April 15, 1983. Also for my dad, who died in 1989 at 56 years old and my best friend Mark who was killed riding on a motorcycle escorting a funeral and a truck driver decided to cut through the funeral procession and slammed his truck into Mark and his bike. Again, thanks so much. You have gained another forever fan!

  • Yesterday I posted on FB to remember my late husband Donté Larry Wells because it was our 27th anniversary of our first meeting. I wrote something very similar to what your song aptly expresses and even though I am in a much better place than when my husband upgraded to heaven almost 4 years ago, this song made me shed more tears and smile too: thank you for sharing your gift with us Cooper Alan❤️‍🩹🥹❣️

  • Asolutely loved the setting, your voice, the words, have been one of my favorites since I heard it after my sweet husband of 24 years died in October 2023. You have empathy, deep pain, but what a smile when you were remembering. I will “never not remember you”. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Love the back story and how you create. God Bless!

  • Absolutely love this song. Today marks 2 years since my dad unexpectedly passed away. I miss him every single second of every single day. This song played on my car this morning after I dropped my daughter off at school and instant tears-I had to pull over. This song perfectly describes him!!! Thank you and I can’t want to hear more of your songs❤

  • I just stumbled onto this song. If there was a perfect time to hear it, it would be right now. It’s so beautiful. I was requested to pick a song for my dad’s funeral next week on the 23rd. This is the one I’m picking and will be played to honor him. ♥️🙏🏻🥹 Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart for writing this song.

  • This song somehow came up on my phone in Youtube, then I googled it and am listening to it on my computer now, with tears streaming down my face. My dad passed from cancer almost 6 years ago, a hard fought battle of pain. I really love my dad, and not a day goes by when I don’t think of him and miss him and his passing made a huge hole in my heart. This song really touched my heart. I googled and you were one of the writers of this amazing song. Great song, great voice….this song really speaks to me. I will now listen to this song on repeat. Bless and thank you!

  • I had my son at 15. 3 months shy of my 16th birthday.I purposely stayed a single Mom because I knew I was young & being a Mom would take all of my attention if I was going to do it right. At 18, I took him and moved to a new state, alone. I stayed alone until Brian was 8. I met a wonderful guy whom Brian loved & we married. At 13 Brianwas in a car accident. He laid in a coma for 6 months. When he woke, he was in such bad shape. He would need constant care for his lifetime. Brian surpassed everything thedrs expected. 16 yrs later, Brian passed from the car accident injuries. He taught me soooo much. He taught our whole family so much about endurance and faith in God and that somehow, everything was going to be alright. Even in his passing, he showed such courage & such faith. He was my entire world. The greatest guft God could have ever blessed me with. Im so grateful that I had the honor of being that sweet souls Mom… he’ll always be with me & till I see him again, I’ll never not remember him.THANK YOU FOR THIS SONG!P.S. he would have loved ALL of your music! May God bless & keep you safe through your journey! We’ll be perusal & listening!💞🙏💞

  • This song both made my heart ache yet, gave me some comfort. Made me cry and also made my smile… I lost my Mom a month ago and it has been the hardest moments of my life. Sending loving prayers to anyone dealing with grief and loss. May you find comfort in music, family, friends and the memories you shared ♡

  • Man if this doesn’t make you a superstar no one deserves to be one. You have that old school George Jones, Waylon Jennings vibe but also can rock out. These lyrics are stellar and you deserve to be headlining arenas. Keep doing what you’re doing because we need more heartfelt songwriters. I don’t know why sentimental and nostalgic songs, poems and literature became unfashionable because they are truthful and an honest song is art and brother you are a Micheal Angelo .

  • Do not be weary for the Lord is close to the broken hearted, he has not left you. In your time of need he saw you, while on that cross he knew you, before you were born Christ died for you. With God with you there is none who can stand against you. With Jesus as the Lord of your days and of your heart you shall not be afraid. Though I walk in the shadow of death I shall not be afraid for the Lord is with me. The Lord is the good shepherd who rejoices more for the one sheep who went astray and was found and returned to the flock then for the rest of the 99 who had never gone astray and had never had to be sought. The power is Christ’s alone and none is more powerful than he.

  • Its been just over a year since I lost my uncle, my mentor, my best friend. Its been a tough year. I feel this song so much. I love this song so much. Thank you for releasing the full version of it, the tik tok clips were not enough. From the Bottom of my heart, Thank You. I really needed this song. God bless you and the other writers.

  • I cannot wait until tomor when “Never Not Remember You” drops. I hope it helps my family heal through the loss of our 3 family members in less than a year. One was my Daddy to Covid -tragically. Cooper is right…music can help heal us through these difficult and grieving times. We love you here in Canada 🇨🇦💟🎶@CooperAlan

  • This is amazing. It resonates, it is like you wrote it for me! I lost my son 4/7/2018 and now do public speaking. Part of my talk is that God doesn’t make mistakes. My son lit up a room, he was the most selfless man I know. His friends always talk about how he was all about everyone else – their happiness, he would give them the shirt off his back. Love, Love, Love this song!

  • This Song means so much to me as much as others this was my Dad I was so close to him my Dad lit up the room and made us laugh he had a big heart and he would give you the shirt off his back your right! Everything you sang word for word that’s how I felt and sounds like you knew my Dad 😊 Thank you so much Cooper Alan!!! 🥀🕊️💫🕊️🥀💖

  • I SWEAR ! I am shaking, too bad to type. My very dear friend died the same day. I heard this demo for the first time. I could not believe it. That was a couple of weeks ago. I finally broke down perusal this article and listening to your sweet, beautiful words, . I will never get over my friend and I will never not remember her. Thank you so much for helping me finally let loose and cry my heart out. I want to send it to her precious Mama, but I am afraid to send it right now. I will send it to her precious Mama when I feel like it is time ! God bless you and your group for this. Very thoughtful article and song. Love you. Hope.

  • My husband passed away on the 12th. We just celebrated our first year wedding anniversary and a week before he passed announced we were excepting our first child. This song I could t help but hear it and smile and cry at the same time because it’s so genuine and true and I just want to thank you. When we ever were going through something we’d use music to express and he loved to sing…was good at it but just thank you❤️

  • I’ve lost 4 very close friends (ages 51, 53, 57, & 58) in the last 9 yrs. 😭💔 I’ll never not remember them. I’m so thankful for all of my memories and pictures. I miss them SOOOO much, but I know that they’re ok/no longer in pain. I do feel them around me, and that brings me some comfort. Thank you for writing this beautiful song.❤

  • I unexpectedly lost the love of my life on Friday the 13th. This was the last song we sat and listened to Before he passed away. This song describes us. So much of what we felt. We felt that it was us against the world. I thank you so much for cutting this song. Because it means so much to me and meant so much to him. Cooper, you are just amazing! We watched you from the beginning when you were just doing the mash ups. It’s been quite a journey. God bless you on your continued journey.

  • My beautiful lady Doreen passed one month ago, on 1/11 at 1:11 AM. Thank you so very much for writing and publishing this song which exactly expresses my every day thoughts. ❤❤❤We packed so much living into a life that indeed ended too soon. ❤❤❤ Now many friends and family members – in the US and UK – will never not remember YOU, Cooper Alan, Thank you for this song which we can now add to our daily listening routine. Doreen is now ‘Up in Heaven, but it sure hurts like hell’. And yes, I’m crying because it’s over, but smilin’ because we had her. Cooper, Thank you, again. Angels, please watch over Dor in Heaven.

  • Thank you so much for this song. It’s like you’re feeling exactly what I’m feeling right now. It’s been 3 weeks today since my best friend died, this song is definitely going to help me through this. I’ve never felt so devastated and broken, yet still happy for brief moments and I just can’t wrap my mind around the fact that her tomorrow never came. My favorite number is 7, and starting with our cat in February, T was my 7th death in 6 months. If I wasn’t a mom I one thousand percent would have completely shut down. Keep doing what you do, your talent is amazing and life changing!

  • Cooper: Losing my only child changed me forever. But…love the line about stuffing a lot of living into a little time. He was 30, his name is Scott and when we met in Lawrence with my OXEGEN tank, I told you that they say you look like him. Yes, nose and all. You are the best, Cooper Alan. Love, ❤ Mary

  • Damm this song is so good. Thank you for finishing it and putting it out. You had me in tears during the first verse. The older I get the more people I’ve known that now have become memories. Just recently my husband almost died from a heart attack and while i was in the hospital with him thesevwords ran through my mind but at that time it was before you did the teaser for it. You got those words and made this song. Thank you so much for this. To my MIL, my own Mom, my Father, my Aunt Catherine, my Sister, and countless friends I Will Never Not Remember You.

  • I know a lot of people on here have talked about their loss of a loved one and I’ve had them too. But this song reminds me of our beloved animal Samson who was hit by a truck and died. We had him for 2 years. He was three. My husband and I miss him very much and my husband’s going to put the song title around his paw print beautiful song. Thank you for this because it does sound like our Samson except for take the shirt off our back. Other than that he loved us very much and we love him very much. I lost parents friends and I have cried over them. Miss them as others do their loved ones. This one hit me as the still mourning the loss of our dog. He was very loved part of our family.

  • Right now this is my 15th time playing this because as we speak; I’m losing my uncle that was a father ; friend and worker by my side since 2005 and still working together till this day and he’s dying of cancer but still.strong and this song got me.and and hits like like hell from the heart and it hurts so bad because he wants to go go all the the time but he looks up and say i got this nephew; I’m good which put a smile on my face everyday in life.

  • To who this touched the person that you lost just went home to be with God to prepare a place for when does your time to go home to be with God no, it doesn’t make it any easier to say that because like you I’ve lost also but I know God would never put more on your shoulders than what he knows you can handle it I’ll never stop loving you so just think about that and I’m very sorry for your loss. God bless you and your loved ones.🙏.😇

  • Thank you for writing this wonderful song. I lost my grandma after she fought a long 67 day journey in the hospital. She went in for what should’ve been a routine surgery (appendectomy) but because she had been admitted about 6 times previously to different hospitals that didn’t catch the appendicitis’ and only caught a small bowel obstruction. She ended up having the appendicitis taken care of and then she went downhill from there. She eventually had to be intubated and was in critical condition for sepsis, double pneumonia, and more. She eventually needed a tracheostomy because she had been on a ventilator for so long. Long story short – my grandma fought like hell. She was 74 years old. She eventually decided to go on comfort care because she had had enough. My grandma was my best friend. I miss her every single day. I always spent my weekends with her when I was a kid. I always wanted to be with my grandma. Thank you for writing this song. It will absolutely help me in my grieving journey. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her and I just want you to know your song absolutely helps. It is so wonderfully written.

  • I just lost my mom back on May 19th of this year in a bad car accident when a young guy decided he wanted to race someone else. He hit her car so hard it hit a telephone pole and she died from her injuries. I’m still struggling every day that she has been gone. Hearing this song has really touched me. Thank you so much

  • One of our fur babies had gotten so sick to the point the only thing we could do was help her crossover yesterday 😭💔😭💔😭 I came across this song while I was creating a article memorial of her, I know it’s geared towards humans but to me it’s a perfect song for those of us who’ve lost our fur kids.Thank you for writing such a beautiful song ❤

  • My mom died July 19th a few days before this was released, and finding it when I did so close after she died felt nice like she wanted me to hear it, I know that possibility is slim but this song just makes me feel better now, she left me way too soon (I’m 17), and I’m glad to have something to listen too when I miss her.

  • My husband passed away 7 years ago of cancer. This song reminds me of him. Even through chemo and fighting stage 4 cancer he laughed till the end. He died at home in my arm. I told him he could go. I told him our daughter would be ok. He smiled and me mouthed I love you to me and took his last breath in my arms.

  • I just want too say I can relate too this song Alan . I lost my older brother back in October due too an unexpected or I should say senseless vehicle accident. I listened too your song and started crying instantly it has helped through this last how many months and I want too thank you for that ❤️ Keep bringing it Alan ❤

  • I lost my mom in December 2021. Lost her battle of 7 years to 3 different cancers, and she never once complained about pain. Easily the life of the party. This song brings back so many memories and literally is exactly how I feel about her. Thank you Mr Cooper, I’ll be listening to this song for a long time to come.
