I am 64 years old still look and feel good but a whole lot wiser. Why should I be in an institution that is a struggle in difficult? I told people months ago to pray for Eva because she is a mother, and she needs to be healthy spiritually, mentally, and physically. Depression is hell. Trust me, I lost 50 lbs in 3 months from stress. People need to come to a realization that depression is a real health issue. I removed all of my problematic maternal relatives from my life, and I feel 90% better.
This is the first time I’ve heard someone actually come out and say how they view themselves after divorcing. Like Eva, I myself came from a family that stays married no matter what. I was the only one to divorce in my grandparents, aunts, and siblings. And being around my relatives, I do feel like the black sheep. I would have stuck it out, but my ex-husband’s family is full of broken marriages and divorced couples, and he divorced me. I was thankful, nonetheless. After he got remarried, I was free to remarry, and I did. It’s been 14 years now, and I’ve met the most amazing man.
Divorce is like a Death!! I got Divorced after 19 yrs, and lost weight. I didn’t feel like eating, and couldn’t sleep at all, 3 wks straight. Then I gained weight, because food numbed my pain. You don’t get over it, overnight. 11 yrs later, and I remember the pain, as if it were yesterday. Prayers to her and the Kids, because they were affected as well 🙏🙏🙏
I knew Eva should have won ANTM when the models had a challenge of running up many flights of stairs. After completing the last flight of stairs, the model immediately had to pose for a pic. Her pic was beautiful. From lookn at her face, no way you’d think she had ran up many flights of stairs. I knew she’d win.
Depression affects people in different ways. When I lost my father & dealing with a stressful & marriage, I lost my job & gained a lot of weight due to sleeping & eating for months. When my youngest daughter left home for college, I got depressed, but lost 30lbs in a month because I could barely eat due to stomach pains. When she came home, I gained it all back.
I’m glad she was honest about this. Us naturally slimmer girls with what seems to be a higher metabolism get bullied sooooo much by a population that overeats and overeats all the wrong things. We lose weight quite easily and stress takes it off for us in no time so imagine being stressed out AND having to deal with people antagonizing your for how your body naturally responds to adverse life situations….ughhh
This why I personally don’t say anything negative to anyone because we never know what someone is going through and not only that if you don’t have anything positive to say about someone you should never comment and make them feel bad because you don’t really know them like that and at the end of the day you wouldn’t want someone to make you feel bad not knowing you so I’m going to always be me and always say something positive to someone and Eva I think you’re beautiful and your kids
I definately saw the weight loss but her eyes never looked weak, so I didn’t think she was ill but I figured she was very stressed out with the demands of leading a show, mothering 3 kids alone, dealing with the heartbreak of her marriage dissolving. She’s a petite lady, so weight loss shows up on her in ways it doesn’t for average size people. I love Eva

Going through break-ups as an adult, where there are financial assets (and/or kids, pets) to split will always be crazily stressful & tear your body apart if you don’t have the proper support system. Me too dealing with unbearable grief loss of my lil sister, both grandparents I also lost my mom then my best friend I too have lost weight didn’t understand why I deal with grief, sadness the pain of loneliness and having to see a therapist I never thought I would she’s my lifeline I too have been asked why I lost so much weight and dealing with a word some are afraid to acknowledge depression I was one of these people still am and being a black woman who also happened to be gay so you keep living for your beautiful kids ❤
Eva is beautiful no matter what size. Some people gain weight from depression, but I am like Eva and lose weight. When I am depressed, I can’t eat. Before I got out of my abusive marriage I lost weight from stress and even some of my family was whispering if I was on drugs. That was a total slap in the face coming from my loved ones who know I have not touched a drug in my life.
My first pregnancy ended at six months and my daughter being stillborn. My depression took me down to a size 0, me crying in the middle of the mall because nothing fitted me right, and my family begging for me to go to counseling. I literally lost myself in the grieving process of my baby’s death. Depression can kill you! People please learn to be kind, especially the younger generation who haven’t experienced much and thinks everything is simply black and white. Let’s learn to have empathy for each other, it literally can save a life. Prayers to this beautiful soul that she finds her healing, and herself again❤

Ppl said her name i still was lost. I had to ask is she famous?? So i googled her and once i saw her photos i knew exactly who she was. Im used to her maiden name i didn’t know she was married I didn’t know she had children. I’m glad i came her…she has always been beautiful im glad she’s doing better❤❤
Sometimes, we unconsciously add a “protective layer” whilst we are in situations that are not in our best & highest good. No matter how hard we try, we can’t shift this weight because it is our subconscious padding to protect us; however, when that unhealthy situation is eliminated from our lives, we shed that “protective layer” super quick! She looks beautiful & radiant … she’s back to being Eva!
I lost so much weight twice in my lifetime Undergrad because I didn’t grow up eating fast food or whatever was available in cafeteria. We had home cooked meals and on occasion take out. So I had to adjust priorities that big campus, housing location, and of course staying nourished / hydrated as well. I lost 15 lbs, I didn’t gain like most college students.. Then after pandemic We lost family members and experienced damage from hurricane 2020 was awful. 😢 I didn’t know I was depressed until now when I look back. Life can take you down if you let it. Good for you Eva I figured it was stress related weight loss. I understand this a lot. 🙏🏻
I had the same experience. After they let us out after the pandemic I was thin. I thought I looked great in my new pants suit I wore for my birthday. And an old classmate thought something was wrong and asked me about my health. I hate to say this but every time I see that pic it’s tainted to me. I was doing well just the stress from all of that contributed to my weight loss. I get it. I hope she is happy and well. 💜🙏🏾
While there were some comments that were shady & in poor taste, the majority were from fans that expressed genuine concern for her health. Most people, myself included weren’t just speculating… we were sending well wishes for her to get through whatever was causing such a drastic change in her appearance. She definitely looks healthier here & I am glad she’s on a path of wellness & peace!
Let us have a REAL conversation, at first glance of that pic Eva looked unusually slim! It was SHOCKING to the average person who followed her. We all knew Eva to be a bomb shell🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥To be real, “I was like what happened with Eva?!” But, i didn’t write a comment, i said “Something is wrong.” I read the comments and moved on. People will react because it is a HUMAN thing/reaction. Stop acting surprised! It is GREAT she came and explain, things take time. Come on!
She was a student at Clark Atlanta University when she got the call for ANTM. A lot of people do not know when music articles were at their height rappers used to go to the Atlanta University Center (AUC) to locate extra pretty girls for their articles. They went to Spelman College, Morris Brown and Clark Atlanta University. The girls at the schools some of them were just simply pretty and some were actual models.
