  • To a foreigner it’s puzzling why a country that declares itself to be the ‘bastion of democracy’ has such little regard for it. Voter suppression and gerrymandering aside, your low voter participation rates are extraordinary. You declare 2020 and a turnout of 62% to be an astounding level of participation, but by international standards that was low. In Australia, where voting is mandatory, the rate is 91%. In New Zealand, where voting isn’t mandatory, it’s 82%. In Canada it’s 67%. It’s the same in the UK. In Germany, it’s 84%. The list goes on. The US is behind almost entirely across the board among western nations. And, now, instead of trying to expand the vote, you seek to discourage it even more. Your flirtation with fascism apparently runs deep.

  • I look back at how much support Reagan had in the 80s from the entire country. Of course, the GOP actually had a platform and ideas back then. What that party has become is a real shame. All they do is whine and tell you what they are against while giving tax breaks to the absolute richest Americans. I was a Republican for nearly 40 years, but I will never vote for another GOP candidate. Trump was no an aberration but truly represents the bulk of that party. I want nothing to do with their hate and racism.

  • Why don’t voting day metrics include the actual time it takes to vote from poll to poll and precinct to precinct? WE KNOW that in white affluent neighborhoods newer, less glitchy voting machines (and more of them) are installed, there are more poll workers, fewer bad faith “poll watchers” etc. The scandal in TX in’18 involved wait times to vote in Houston vs any red/rural area. Something like 11 – 14 hours vs 1/2 HR – 1 hour. Numbers don’t lie. Had this data been available when the Robert’s amoral SCOTUS majority said there was no longer “the need for Fed oversight of State elections” they would have been hard pressed ignore hard data like this. How about this as the #1 exit poll question…”How Long Did You Have To Wait To Vote Today?”

  • Voter Suppression and intimidation is not going to get those GOP clowns any more seats than what they have if anything they’re going to lose a lot of seats playing this let’s go against democracy game we like being free and we like the fact we can vote try and take both away you dame right you will see what’s about to happen to your party you seen it in Georgia now just imagine every state got on board🤔

  • weep for the children being brutalized on the border, I weep for all the hard working Americans that lost their small business to antifa/blm. I weep because our Constitution is being shredded…I weep for this Nation as civil war draws near. Yes, I love this Country and over 100 million of us stand ready to stop the Tyrants. Don’t stand in our way!

  • I thought everybody kept cash. I didn’t realize it was such shape issue. I always keep cash.. I test my paycheck. I put in my checkbook enough to cover my bills and the rest. I keep it home.. This is a ridiculous. Concern And anyone who’s ever lend me money or pay for something that I’ve reimbursed I would never even consider paying the check of course you would give them cash. You make it as convenient as you can see that that’s just ridiculous.

  • It’s a fact that she was in a romantic relationship with Wade in 2019, before hiring him Nov. 2021. Fani paid Wade significantly more than other prosecutors with more experience. Fani can’t prove she paid her fair share of the luxurious trips taken with Wade because she said she paid in cash. Really? You didn’t watch the same court proceedings as I did.

  • Two minutes in and I’ve had enough of the BS. Why is the county’s top cop working around established accounting system and doing transactions with her boyfriend in cash. That’s a different standard which is not about male, female. Strong, Black, Woman – now a days you have to include Single. Because no one wants that kind of headache at home!!

  • She’s not a regular person. A race has nothing to do with it her gender has nothing to do with it…. She should be held to a higher standard because she’s a prosecutor! Nobody cares if she had a relationship but we care about is the kind of relationship that she has and the agenda behind the both of them

  • My father always told me that I needed to have cash on hand. One never knows what may happen…power goes out and ATMs or cash register won’t work. Maybe you’re in an area where there are no cash machines and no cell phone service etc. Maybe your wallet was stolen…the list of reasons goes on and on. Always Always have some cash on hand.

  • I also believe in keeping cash on hand. However this discussion ignored two significant matters. Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade are educated & accomplished attorneys. They are both involved in a historic precedent setting case. It doesn’t matter to me what they did behind closed doors as long as it was consensual. However, being very smart practicing attorneys involved in such an historic case, why on earth didn’t Ms. Willis foresee the potential problems and avoid the appearance of alleged impropriety of financial gain by paying back Mr. Wade by Cash App or PayPal or asking Mr. Wade to provide her with a receipt upon paying him in cash? The second issue I didn’t hear addressed is the tax lien owed by MS. Willis for under $5000.00 that was brought up in court & not disputed. I’ve had 2 such liens and know the interest accrues rapidly in addition to late fees AND substantial fee then owed to tax collection agencies which is very steep. Why would she keep cash and not pay a tax lien that keeps accruing? Those two issues are far more troublesome to me. Again, these are two highly educated & accomplished professionals. Their financial choices make no sense to me. Thanks.

  • I have watched the entire hearing over 2 days. My understanding is that Fani Willis said, “I was pacing in my office and heard outside my office people saying Wade finished testifying”. She was then asked if she was listening to testimony and she said “no”. My understanding is that witnesses in the case are not allowed to watch the trial on TV, etc. Why is the media reporting on several stations that she was breaking rules, when she herself stated several times she was not?

  • After you withdraw money from your bank account, you may have some of it left over that you do not redeposit but put aside for emergency purpose. Over time, you can accumulate a nice sum of money. No one has a receipt for extra cash money saved at home. There are many ways to save money that you would normally have a receipt for. Sounds unbelievable but it is true, there are actually people who extra cash at home!

  • If you are paid, like most people are today, the money goes into your bank account and you have bank statements to show withdrawls. I take out cash and keep it but I can show you bank receipts. Government employees have direct deposit so she should have reciepts. It is not just a “black thing”. My mother-white told me always to have cash and I also have a pocket full of receipts because you ALWAYS GET AND KEEP RECEIPTS IF YOU PAY WITH CASH. I cannot believe anyone would be stupid enough to give someone cash and not get a receipt. She has a right to defend herself but she should also have respect for the court and decorum, she didn’t!!

  • Willis paid Wade per his statements with apparently cash + Salary. Used the cash and/or his CC for trips, expense reimbursement were submitted. She stated part of her cash at ‘home’ was from Campaign donations. Following her personal $50k loss for a position she ran for but lost, loosing that $50k. Does she deserve a pass for just trying to repay herself with tax payer dollars and campaign donations and being an adultress to boot? 🤔🤫. But remember, shes NEVER immaculates a man then immediately did just that!! That is her base core narcissistic attitude and is truly disgusting and insulting to all women, no matter the color!

  • Yep, parents taught us to keep money aside and even on me, e.g., to carry some in wallet and some in shoe in case wallet stolen. Even a dime (when public phones took change) Strong, independent black woman who, I’m guessing, had to be more accomplished than most in her field to even get in the door. Let’s stick to the law, not delay, sexism & racism.

  • Every person has the right to defend themselves. The problem is, Fanni is guilty in a matter of self confessed crimes, from lying to the court, avoiding paying taxes, and using money for herself meant for when running for office. She’s a criminal train wreck who has no business holding the office She’s in.

  • OF COURSE WE USE CASH! OUR CREDIT SCORES EQUAL NO CREDIT CARDS. DEBIT CARDS YES, CREDIT CARDS, NO WAY!!! 😇😇😇😇😇🥰🥰🥰🥰I LOVE T HIS LADY TO THE END. ALL I HEARD WAS RACIST CONCOCTED BS ASKING WAY TO PRSONAL QUESTIONS AND LIES, AND I AMS SO PROUUD OF HER FOR SPEAKING OUT AGAINST WHITE JUSTICE. ITS ALWAYS JUSTUS🤗🤗

  • She has a right to defend herself. But she was so unprofessional and disrespectful to the judge and his courtroom. She is a DA. Right is right and wrong is wrong no matter what your ethnicity is. Black ppl have always kept cash in the house. But when you’re in the position she’s in you always cover your a…..

  • Exactly what defence can she use and according to what “standard” for using funds to travel with her boyfriend/co worker. Her skin colour or gender does NOT detract from illegal actions. Was the money she “paid him back” with the leftover campaign money she took home as she stated in court ? Reguardless of colour criminal actions. You had your chance and blew it on a hornet DA.

  • SO OUTRAGEOUS! And I am white and proud to say that this is clearly racism! And Wade and Willis clear anger is all about that and also about having defendants attaking their privacy with so much arrogance, with thei lies and allegations they are doing by repeating questions over and over and over as if they do not want to show that they understand their answers and as if they want to put the allegations even more real while there are only rumors and no proof at all. THe witness that supposedly saw Wade and Willis in a love realtionship before has a huge grudge against them. We could even see it in her testimony. So to me, it is not relevant at all as many other witnesses have witness the opposite!!!

  • It’s not about the cash on hand. It’s about her agenda to enrich herself and her boyfriend. All she had to do was disclose the information and recluse herself. Nah… she wanted to be greedy. If she was smart as they say, she should have did the aforementioned, waited until the man was divorced, the case was over and the coast was clear, but her greed got in the way. According to the ex, Fani was the reason Nathan couldn’t reconcile. She used her power, position to promise him favor and status in Atlanta. I don’t believe in supporting CORRUPTION because someone is black and I am digusted at our race for choosing corruption over Integrity. We are the chosen people. If we humble ourselves and align with the most high, we will have sweatless victories. I feel we don’t believe because we do not know who we are. Anyone, who supports her or Nathan is just as Shameful. 😒

  • Also hilarious that we heard from Mr Willis that he was discriminated against in Cambridge MA. But AMEX isn’t accepted universally now (less in 1970s), and most small businesses do not accept travelers checks (ability to confirm and convert to cash is cumbersome). But I’m glad we got to hear his story, instead of getting any sort of documentation showing that cash changed hands. I mean, even if the relationship began when she says, there’s still opportunity for financial impropriety. In fact, they discussed him working overtime on the case, which I’m sure had to be approved. Did any others in the team receive OT & OT pay? This whole thing is ridiculous.

  • Yes, the defense lawyers should be required to attend inclusion training. This was a privileged white Court, being condescending and mocking blacks, not appreciating cultural differences and not respecting these black public servants who apparently sacrificed much to work on this case on behalf of Americans. It was shameful, and racist and misogynistic. The outcry should be louder.

  • First off. Fani Willis. Letitia James and other Black Women should not be involved in the escapade of trying to convict Trump. It’s Puppetry. With that said, I don’t agree with how Fani Willis is being treated by her Haters over this case because you should always want to set a decent 😉 example especially in Professional Circles.

  • First of all their personal relationships started in 2021 & has already ended in 2022 so they are not in a relationship currently during a trial. Secondly there are several personal relationships among the defendant lawyers and the other defendants in this trial and that is on going. Talk about irony!

  • There are no “ethics” here to be debated. She did nothing morally wrong and that’s mot what courts are about. You can debate the wisdom of leading such a high profile prosecution against a former president while having this relationship which could and then did leave her the prosecution her entire office and justice for Americans open to such salacious attacks in the media and the courtroom. But ethics? No. Her hiring of competent counsel and her personal relationship with him did not prejudice state finance laws or any defendants rights. If the court wants to delve in to the morality of the individuals involved then this lying cheating MAGA defendants should already be in jail for there breach of the pledge they have all taken to America and its democracy.

  • As the DA Fani should of known better than the average citizen to leave a paper trail of repayment. These are days of debt cards also. And not put personal trips on your corporate card. The way she carried herself on the stand looked guilty to me. If Trumps dad was alive do you think the court would want to here from him. There rest of her testimony was grandstanding.

  • I ran a large business for +35 years. Our trading terms & circumstances required customers paying us large sums such as Customs Duty or GST in cash (be that cash deposit at a bank or physical handover of cash) … the business world still works with cash legally without problem, so it cannot be a factor frowned upon just because who the defendants are (that i bet use cash also)…. I just keep thinking cash is legal tender, so where is the problem

  • BS, YOU ALL FORGET SHE HAD AN IRS BILL OR TAX NOTE THAT WAS DELINQUENT! COULD THAT BE THE REASON SHE DID NOT KEEP HER MONEY IN THE BANK? IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY SHE SAID,”THE BILL WAS $4K OR CLOSE! SHE PAID CASH FOR CRUISES, TRIPS, AND SHOPPING, BUT THE IRS WITH ITS DAILY INTEREST CAN WAIT!😂😅😂 UNETHICAL, AND IRRESPONSIBLE!

  • In light of the recent situation, it is worth noting the actions taken by the district attorney of Fulton County. To claim the use of campaign funds for personal trips is a clear violation of the law, as any surplus funds from a campaign should not be allocated for personal use. These actions demonstrate a disregard for the established legal framework, which the district attorney is well aware of. Furthermore, the assertion that this was done with a sense of authority is nothing short of a joke. Additionally, evidence has emerged indicating a conflict of interest in the relationship, particularly in 2019. It is evident that the district attorney’s credibility is compromised, as she consistently resorts to rambling and vague statements, often prefaced by the phrase “let me be very clear.” These circumstances raise serious concerns about her integrity.

  • There is no way they have watched a minute of this case. I haven’t missed a second of it. She choose to take the stand and choked hard by incriminating herself on other crimes and tax evasion. There is transactions for everything but this cash that could have been kickback, and her own father’s testimony was basicly thrown out because he admitted to not being sequestered. What is this news station talking about.

  • If she hadn’t appeared on the stand people would have tried and convicted her outright by public opinion alone. Whether public opinion or court of law DA Willis and her father’s compelling testimony was undeniably outstanding. I have even more respect for her now than I did before her testimony. Just admit it–Y’all wasn’t ready for that black girl magic and y’all BIG MAD! Now you know why the saying “DANGER: EDUCATED BLACK MAN” resonates so well amongst the black community!

  • She should have held off, or paid exactly for her expenses with actual proof she paid. We are talking about two intelligent Lawyers here. Now all of a sudden they want to play the Black-Card? “As Blacks we know we have to kerp cash because our credit cards can be cut off in an instant”. SORRY I DON’T BUY IT, NEITHER DID SHE….

  • Two main issues i have to mention one their were a great deal of financial institutions who refused to give loans or credit cards to minorities so your only recourse was to save for your home bank for emergencies and i totally believe father and daughter testimony. Second point ms willis responded saying yes or no sir or mam showing respect the prosecuting attorneys didn’t show her any ms willis had to remind one particular attorney 3 times you dont have to yell at me for a response and i don’t blame DA willis for exposing their lies.STAY STRONG AND VIGILANT YOU ARE A WONDER WOMAN IN JUSTICE.

  • Happy to learn this part of Black culture. Once explained it was totally logical. The same jokers who inflicted this on them will turn around and use it against. I’m White and have cash on hand. Child of depression era parents, including a sensible mother who taught me to always have my own way to escape if date went south. But what no one will discuss, it made total sense to reimburse him in cash because this was a clandestine relationship. Duh!

  • I was very upset with these lawyers and this judge today ! This case has been no way fair here you had about 6 or 7 lawyers to 2 and like FANI said yesterday this ms merchant did lie several times, i see also today they wouldnt let FANI continue to testify .This is not right it also looks like to me this judge has his mind already made up that he will get rid of ms Willis and this is not right if he does!!!

  • Lawyers, judges, law makers. Witnesses, read the holy commandments from God! …those who take an oath to God, must obey God! Sin is the road to evil! Remember sodom and Gomorah was judged! …sinners must repent! Dont reward those who rebel against God! …children of God,seek a life of obedience to God! Children of satan sin, and tell others to sin! Depending fani willis sins, are evil! Let evil be evil. But stop calling good evil. And evil good! Sin is evil!
