I love this song I always play it before I sleep. Gone through a difficult situation but I am a witness God is good all the time. Gone through dialysis because I had kidney failure and never stopped praying every time I think of God I pray. After 2 months of dialysis, I had a donor and now got a successful kidney transplant.
I went to church with Taya’s Mum and Dad, they both shone with the love of Jesus and I remember her Mum singing and worshipping, she was so pretty as well. Wonderful memories and Taya carries a generational blessing and anointing, I was so blessed when her Mum told me that Taya was her grown daughter and how God could use her heart which was so humble.

I battled religion most of my life. Now at 31 the pressures of life, perhaps that of which I’ve put on myself, have really caught up with me and my mental health took a turn down a dark road. And like most men I suffered in silence. In that pain I almost instinctually went to prayer. I think prayer helped me let go of my ego in telling myself I would do it all alone. I pray every night now. I don’t pray in Jesus name only because ive spend my thinking years picking apart the lore and hypocrisy of most religions, but I pray to what is good in the sense of goof vs evil. With that said I stumbled across hillsong united and the medium of music has opened my heart to Christianity in a sense. And through this lense I can see the tremendous beauty of it. And im done picking up art religions for their flaws. There’s a greater purpose for all.

A lot of times when I go to my quiet time, I am still upset and stressed about things that happened at work. Often the last thing I feel like doing is worshiping God. So, I go to one of Taya’s articles and soon I am feeling like I need Him more than anything and all my other thoughts pass away and I can focus on Him in worship. Taya definitely has a wonderful gift of imparting her worshipful praise of God to others. She says “Who am I to lead these people in worship”? I say, you are the one gifted by God to lead many in worship, not just at your Church, but around the world.

It’s amazing to be used by God. Because the reality is, He doesn’t need us, but He uses us anyway! Let’s not be limited to thinking worship is singing, and lifting hands, and being in a room singing a cool song. Worship is your life, how you treat your neighbor, your spouse, your family! It’s dying to yourself DAILY and allowing Christ to live within and through you. Let’s not seek and desire to stand on platforms because God doesn’t look at the outward appearance of man, but He looks at the heart. God used a couple of songs sung by her to change my heart and show me who he was. I was listening to the ‘This is amazing grace’ cover right before I decided to give my life to Christ. I remember Taya from High School, I was 2 years below her but she always ran and encouraged us to go to the Christian Group meetings with our High School Chaplain Sipey. It was so much fun! The last thing I remember her doing was throwing an XO Day where we all helped set-up she was on the worship band and got our youth church band from CLC to sing praise and worship on the old courts. It was amazing and sooo many people from school that day actually started asking questions and wanted to get involved. When I first saw her lead worship at Hillsong I was like, she definitely always had a this calling! Super blessed to have known her back before this all started and she has not changed one bit. 100% Genuine!

The intensity with which you sang Oceans Where Feet May Fail originally stuck in my head and was my favorite song for a while. Not that it’s not a favorite anymore, just that I was really into it for a while. It was intensely intimate and you let everything go in Praise of Him. I also enjoyed the commentary about it when the guys were saying how they first found you and how you stepped aside screaming the lyrics loudly, and how they just let you go for it. This is the kind of love that Jesus talks about that he has for us. It is the embarrassing Song of Solomon type love that can only be found in Him. Taya brought me closer than I already was!! I surrendered myself to Jesus even more on the night I witnessed my father’s death…when I left the hospital that night the noise of the unfamiliar world I was walking into was deafening, but a song on the radio quieted the noise…almost total silence outside of taya’s voice, and the angels singing thru her, I felt gods comfort…and n this unfamiliar n tragic world I was completely ALONE n…with just her voice I lost that sense of fear and loneliness!!! The fact we share the same last name is a bonus sign, and I would’ve sworn it was my bff Naomi Striemer singing!!, They could b twins!! I pray God will find the means for me to see Hillsong when they’re here n Orlando, but the Tix cost as much as Taya had when she moved to Sydney…I’m a single mom…n I doubt I’ll come across that kind of extra cash by may!!! Last November I lost my father to Alzheimers then a week later my nephew to suicide. Broke my heart and it didnt stop there. A week after that my brother died of a drug overdose…This version of Amazing Grace by this Beautiful Spirit just brought so much love to my broken heart..Thank you so much for your beautiful voice Taya. .. Taya…you will probably never read this but you bring so much love to Christ thru your energy. There have been many days in my failing health (stage 4 kidney disease) where just listening to your music and feeling your energy has lifted me higher and helped me to re-focus on God. I’ve always been one to preach about making a positive difference in peoples lives. Sometimes the rescuers are the one’s who need to be rescued.

When i was 15 or 16 i prayed God i want to be a great singer n popular, 17 or 18 i thought i cant be the singer bcs there was like nothings happend i live in a small city which is i cant get an audition chance of a Big sing competition, n its hard for me To fly to another city to get the chance cus im just a county girl, 19 n now 20 a new church has been build in my Area n the church mostly are the olders including my aunt they needs young people to serve there, how? But idk i went n join into the church, i started to feel thirsty n hungry of God i study the bible n understand how big is God’s grace for myself 😭 i started to listening hillsong songs on YT n download the songs specially taya’s songs n then i say God want to be a singer like taya To praise U n serve U. the priest at my church asked me to serve as a praise leader in a small worship meeting n then serve as one of the singers( not a leader) at my church n then now tommorow will be my very first time serve as a worhip leader at worship meeting for the young people in my church. when i listening hillsong songs which is Taya sang i cant stop to always listening n repeat the songs its not only a song n its not only a voice but there is a Spirit n power n greatness n amazing and present of God inside n idk why n how but i have simillar quote as yours taya How people do life without jesus? That is one thing i’ve always thingking about n i will never Forget it! I understand n realized now that my calling is to be a singer BUT for Him n His glory not this world i may dont know how’s the future looks like but i just trust Him n im sure that will be Soo Beautiful ☺.
In 2015 i had only less one dollar on my hand, my baby is sick n cried becoz her heart sometimes hurt, i cried n i cried no money to go to the doctor n i had no job its 4.30 pm that day, i prayed n just said help me Jesus, help my baby girl,i dont know wht to do, n then after i prayed, at 5 pm my friend called,she told me to come to her work to replace her coz she going to resign, its the same place i still till now,its A miracle, i dont know what to do without Jesus, n thanks God my baby dont have problem with her heart..
