Felt this was more a moment for the minister/preacher than it was for anyone else. He didn’t need to be theatrical to make a great and important point, he could have been more understated but just as effective, if not more so! This was his moment to shine. Annoying and self centred – funny though considering the royal setting. This wedding was and is a big joke.
I thought he was grandstanding for the camera and according to other comments I read, so did others. It was inappropriate for the occasion and not very original. If everyone loved each other the world would be a better place, duh. He even had to throw in MLK and slavery. It was not the time or the place. I’m sorry to see him get more media attention.
I’m not a fan of Harry and Meghan. I saw nothing wrong with this sermon at all. It was wonderful and not stuffy like most of the royals may be used to. He had them laughing in a good way and relaxed in a situation that they usually are so formal and reserved and stiff. I am the biggest fan of the late Queen. But, I think they could use a little more of this type of sermon. But, I am just a wee American so what do I know? Lol.
