In the ATFR episode, Chris Harrison asked Chris if the outcome would’ve been different if Becca told him that she loved him, and his response was “I don’t know.” That’s a red flag because he’s implying that it’s highly possible that Becca would have been his fiancé instead. If he really knows that Whitney is the right choice, he would have said “no.” I really want Chris and Whitney’s relationship to work but it’s unsettling to hear him sad over Becca.
mm, I personally believe that Whitney left no choice but for Chris to choose her. She always said exactly what she needed to say at every opportunity. Becca was more authentic, in my opinion. She was more realistic about this whole situation, and that seemed more genuine. I think it was very clear that Chris wanted Becca. Unfortunately, Becca was not as “over-the-top” with her feelings, and was moving at a more realistic natural, and NORMAL pace. If Becca has professed her over-the-top love for Chris the Whitney did at every moment, he would have chosen her. Whitney was definitely the “safer” choice. I wish Chris did not feel the pressure, and just taken the “risk” with Becca.
I am happy for them, but I can’t shake the feeling that Chris isn’t as happy as he could be. I think he loved Becca more, but like his father said, Whitney was a safer choice. I am sure he does love Whitney, but I just feel like he still does love Becca. And for the people saying Becca wasn’t into him, I don’t think that’s true at all. If she wasn’t into him or couldn’t see herself being completely in love with him, I am sure she would have left the show. I think she was beginning to love him, but it just wasn’t at the pace Whitney was at. It’s kinda sad.
Chris tends to fall for California girls who wouldn’t move to his small town. That is why Britt and Becca are not suitable . On the other hand, Whitney is the perfect match for him because she came from the Midwest with a lot of similar personalities and his family loves her. It is a happy ending even though Chris seems to attract to Becca and Britt more than Whitney physically .
Chris’s dad said it best: Becca is who he wants. Whitney is the sure thing. Chris settled for Whitney just for the camera’s, I don’t think they’ll last long. Chris obviously wants to keep whatever fame he has (I.E. Dancing with the stars), and whitney was in it to win it, she seems like a fan of his, more than his actual lover. When he was describing her he was struggling, with his head down, no confidence in his voice, just reiterating what the fans seem to be noticing. Chris never really wanted to move back to Iowa, maybe when he’s fifty. He’s a millionaire who wants to live his years in LA enjoying life. It was all for the show.
Let me first off say that Whitney was my absolute favorite very early on in the show. I loved her and rooted for her along the way. But then, once Chris and Becca spent more time together, she REALLY grew on me. I realized and noticed the way acted with both Whit and Kaitlyn, and then the way he acted with Becca was so different. He was so careful and patient with her, and I felt like all he really wanted to do was to take care of her. I think the reason he kept Becca around even though they had a several rough spots was BECAUSE he did love her, and I think he loved her A LOT. You don’t just go to another girl’s hotel room a couple nights before you’re supposed to choose who to propose to and literally pour your heart out to her and ask her to love you if you don’t love her yourself. It was so obvious he was so madly in love with her, and seeing that was so refreshing to me. That being said, I was heartbroken for both Chris and Becca when he said goodbye to her. It was so clear that he didn’t want to do it. I think Chris’ father hit the nail on the head when he said how Whit was the easier choice, but that Chris really wanted Becca. I honestly felt like this FRC was really sad and upsetting. Chris definitely picked with his head instead of his heart. I not only feel bad for him, but for Becca and Whitney too. He let the person he was in love with walk away, and now he is probably facing regret.
I can’t be the only one who sees little connection on Chris’s end. I think Whitney loves him very much and I think he proposed because he would have felt guilty if he wasted a whole season for nothing. I don’t see it lasting. Chris seems to even have trouble listing what he loves about her… Even when he proposed, Whitney kept going “this is the best day of my life!” And he was just kinda like “me too..”
No affectionate hand holding, no hugs, not a lot of eye contact… too serious… no special gestures… unless Whitney is a woman who does not need the attention… this relationship is doomed to fail really fast… hopefully Chris will focus more on the woman in his life than the cows grazing out in the field….
What excitement??????? If I didn’t know they were both on the Bachelor, I would have thought they were brother and sister. Becca is the one he was truly in love with that’s why he kept asking her about why she wasn’t in love with him. If Becca had said he was in love with him, she would have most definitely gotten the ring. Chris is going to have a very, very boring and predictable life with the blond. But hey, maybe that’s what he wanted, hes 33 years old so maybe he’s over the exciting love life said no one ever . Becca and Chris love for eachother was interesting and real. Becca was never in love with Chris, rather, she was in love with the idea of being in love, this is why when he rejected her she did not shed one tear. Whitney was desperate and threw herself at Chris because she feels her biological clock is ticking and wants a family and as she says ‘lets go make some babies’. Chris was infatuated with Becca even though she was not made for him. If Chris seeks to please his family, if he feels that he needs to settle down ASAP he will settle for a loveless marriage. I hope Chris and Whitney prove us wrong, because I do think they could be a beautiful couple. However, with this interview there was no hand holding, not a whole lot of eye contact, and I don’t feel like both of them were able to share the love that they have with us. I know they’ve been shown on the bachelor quite a few times, but I don’t know. I really do love Chris and Whitney, but I’m not seeing a whole lot going on. Maybe it’s, because they were filming GMA early in the morning, and both were still trying to recover from the sleep that they didn’t get a whole lot of. I can’t stand Whitney’s screechy little girl voice either; its painful to listen to.
I studied Kinesics closely, and I can say that by his body language alone that he settled for Whitney. Whitney knows this. Watch her closely starting at 3:22. She sucks in a breath (her shoulders raise) when she looks at him. She’s VERY insecure. Not to mention there’s no affection between them here what so ever. No holding hands. Nothing. As many others have said, Chris wanted Becca, and it’s SO obvious. He waited as long as he could for Becca to confess her love for him and SHE was the one who was unsure. In a way, I believe that even made her appealing to him. She wasn’t quick to give up everything for someone. Including her life, beliefs, and virtue. It was admirable. Becca was a mystery. Mysteries are appealing. She would have kept Chris on his toes for the rest of their lives. But I totally believe that Chris will get tired of Whitney. It’s only a matter of time. Wow, the body language during that interview said a LOT! Whitney adoringly looked at him while he avoided her gaze completely! I’m beginning to tire with the Bachelor/Bachelorette cos it seems SO obvious they’re instructed to say certain things to keep the viewers interested but it’s just become so predictable & fake!
I licked Becca too but I knew he was not going to choose her because she was not in love with him and that’s what he or rather his FAMILY wanted him to find…Some one who was in love with him. I personally don’t think they will marry so I don’t see a divorce in the future..Hey got to be married first to predict a divorce right. Oh well on to DWTS and next bachelor or bachelorette show.
Chris Soules has got to be the 2nd worst Bachelor in history. Can’t sort out his thoughts, and certainly can’t voice them. Just says the same phrases over and over again. Plus he is quite clueless socially. And his heavy breathing and sighing was getting really annoying. Doesn’t seem natural and certainly overdone.
