📹 Jada Pinkett Smith Sheds Tears in Emotional Chat With Will Smith’s Ex Wife
The actress and her husband’s ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, got candid about their relationship on Jada’s Facebook Watch Series, …
Sheree is speaking my truth and telling my story. My 16 yr old son, my youngest cub, woke up one day and said, “Can we switch it up. I stay with you on the weekends and my dad during the school week.” I was crushed and felt betrayed. When I asked why the change, he said he just wanted to do something different. I could tell he was struggling to even speak those words because he knew I would be sadden by it. I had to ask God to help me have a different perspective for the betterment of my son’s growth into a man. It wasn’t easy. My ex-husband is remarried as well. My ex couldn’t understand why I was hurt. It was his wife who told him that I have the right to feel the way I feel because I’m his mother. I was grateful for his wife at that moment. So next year, the plan is for my son to live with dad for his last year in high school, with me having every other weekend and school breaks. He’ll be 18 by the time graduation comes next year.. I had to realize that my son was not, not choosing me. He was choosing himself. Thank you, Tysean and Ryan, for having Sheree!
Getting on and staying on the self work journey is key !! Someone needs to help us get THAT when we’re 13 as opposed to 25. That’s why we’ve discouraged our 18 year old daughter to study, focus and learn herself before dating. We talk about about the importance of loving and knowing self before you can possibly choose any partner. The movies are scripted our lives are a invitational journey and it takes wisdom and maturity to make grown folk decisions. This sister displays the importance of this. I’m so happy for her,Trey etc. She ready !!❤
This is my second listening moment of your podcast. I have enjoyed them both so far, and I’m looking forward to more listening and learning. God bless ya’ll. I’m happy her journey is a blessing to her, enabling her to know who she is and have reached the point of READY! That’s a true love story of self
Dating out of desperation, wanting a man to rescue me. I’ve been there and done that. Finally matured enough to make the decision to stop dating, start healing and really really learn the art of being alone but not lonely, understanding what my value is and who I am. Enjoying my own company, taking myself on dates and enjoying life . Shutting it down is a major part of your healing ( totally celibate for years )
Lol…i was married for 30 years divorced 3 years now….and soon after we split i never seeked or had a craving to be with someone….i knew i needed to heal and i definitely did not want to attract what i had just came out of….yesterday i spoke to my ex and my son is with him but wants to be with me ( teen boy) but as i talk to him he was still bringing up 3 years ago….and my healthy self saw exactly what i got with when i was 16…i really had to forgive myself….I know i am a wife, but when God is ready….its Him and I right now ( married to God) !!! ❤
This was another great episode. Sheree spoke so authentically and eloquently about her story. You can clearly see God’s anointing glow and grace. I too had to shut it down for 6 years and discover who I am at my core. Now I know my true value I am now ready and willing to explore the possibilities. Ladies like Sheree said, stop jumping from relationship to relationship and love on yourself. Thank you for this valuable content, it’s much needed in times such as this.
I am happy about the women Will selected to partner & parent with. They both have similar levels of class, grace, vulnerability, & assistance towards encouraging us all to be our highest selves. Those are the primary traits required for those roles. I believe their perfectly imperfect family will recuperate, despite the negative judgements of social media. And recuperate well. Many prayers for them. God bless them all.
Just my honest/ personal opinion celibacy guarantees nothing. I’ve done that been that for more than 10 years and still nothing. I was celibate & single & in therapy unpacking. Then I started to question myself, when life. Like what am I waiting on. What if I die. Etc… What I’ve learned is that even tho I might still be “broken”, I’m doing the work & I deserve to be loved (still) at this point where I am. I’m doing the work tho. But I’m still single. Idk if I believe in “soul ties”. But every one is capable of feelings. It’s natural it’s life. Also I have more to say about other parts of this interview but I’ll stop there & say awesome interview
Oh wow. I love her Honesty, the only part that gave me pause is when she said she does not need to have the piece of paper, that might work for her but she might also be speaking from fear, I mean she was divorced twice, if things do not work out she can walk away without a 3rd divorce. I’m just saying.
Unfortunately not how my ex husband turned out to be no matter me following all the things the sister saying about me being that descent woman he was so dry 30 yrs later still very detached dint know if its was because he was military 🤒always cut n dry didn’t talk much about anything plus he was so money cautious even tho I never presented that image so sadd
Sheree is such a good human being for taking the crap talk that Jada served her. Jada was so full of herself. It was Will who chose to b with Sheree even though he had feelings for Jada. He made that call. Now that Jada has Will, she doesn’t even want him. Will lost both ways. If he did not openly struggle with his feelings for Jada in front of Sheree and was a man and treated her right or at least called off the wedding he wud have had a better family life.
The irony is that Will had a SOLID woman with Sheree, but he really wanted JADA who was a rising star herself. Sheree was like broccoli and Jada the big juicy triple bacon burger!! This is how life tends to be even for non celebrities. A person desiring someone who doesn’t desire them back, while that person desires someone ELSE who ALSO might not desire them back! Everybody’s chasing what they probably CANNOT have!!
This is what the PURE LOVE of a GOOD MOTHER looks like! It is only through maturity, understanding, forgiveness and acceptance that one can arrive at such an elevated place of love and kindness. Children of divorced parents have their struggles cushioned more when their step parents have genuine love and respect for their birth parents as is the case with will’s son Tre. Great to see examples of people who really do try to put their kids needs first!
Jada Pinkett is showing the signs of a highly narcissistic and uncaring person. Disrespecting her man publicly is a form of emasculation to humiliate her husband; passive-aggressively using her Red Table platform. This reveals she has serious “character flaw” as person, as women, and as a wife. Jada has missed the importance of “honoring” and “respecting” her husband, she claims to Love, Value and Treasure. Sad. 😞 I’m surprised that people are taking her “Red Table Talk” seriously. She is not a loving wife to her husband. She is not a true sage with real wisdom that is healthy. Jada needs to seek therapy for her addictions, and Will Smith needs to the same; since he is in a codependent relationship with Jada. (He is truly emotionally hurting, does know what to do because the codependent nature of relationship with Jada Pinkett; Jada is hurting also…..both need to go and meet with Dr Ramani; who appeared on Red Table talk a while back with Jada.) Jada has never been true “Wife” material, like so many other women these days. She is a “Modern Woman”; they are not worth marrying and are not quality women worthy of a quality man. Men can be the same way, as husbands. Modern Men and Modern Women are not good candidates for marriage or monogamous relationships. Best for them to stay single and live a turnstile relational life, while leaving traditional and quality men and woman alone. 🤔 (Will Smith is a codependent caught up in a trauma bond with Jada Pinkett. Modern women should enter marriage with a traditional person.
That’s was powerful because it shows we as women have the power to make or break the family, be bitter are make the family stronger all parties have to come together and admit I was wrong in my part when there are children involved. We don’t have to sleep together but respect and support the other parents, are significant others.
I think that…. the show is stupid because why with all that’s going on in the world why do we care what’s going on in the private lives of Jada Pinkett Smith, her Kids, Will, her Mom, and the rest…. the conversations she’s having should be private and exclusive for her family… and or their therapist. How does what’s happening in Jada’s life help the General Public ? Just like in Donald Glover’s “This Is America” music article, while we are focusing on Celebrity Culture… People are still being shot and killed for nothing in this country… Flint Michigan still doesn’t have fresh water to drink, but “We” worried about Jada Pinkett and Willow cutting herself…. 👎🏾 We all need to pay attention to what’s happening in “Our” world not so much what going on in the lives of celebrities who can give a damn about us. I would be more interested if Jada was showing us how she can better the lives of others who are less fortunate. Then I would be interested.
b.s…this is for entertainment…. you can tell Jada and Sheree have long moved on past this…. if they needed to have a talk..then it could have been had in private.. this was just 2 mins of fake tears without any lesson… all for ET Jada’s show red table talk show…. and they both get a nice paycheck….
I hope women of an ex will take note from these two dynamic women, who had a rough patch when starting out of the blocks but worked together to build a strong community for their family. Team work is the dream work. Bless Jada and Sheree. Women of wisdom and great understanding. They knew it was not about them but the family.
When you are truly over someone and you mature and grow, you can actually have a decent relationahip with your ex and who they choose to be with. Too many times games are being played by the man or woman who’s relationship ended. But when both move on, it can be a lovely thing. Also you can except that things happen in life for a reason. I wish that I could reach out to my children’s step mom but their dad is too busy living a double life. At some point, everyone must grow and learn from past mistakes but sadly some never do! I love that Jada and Sheree have come to respect and appreciate each other. Kudos to two grown ass women! We need more examples like these two!
this is an eye opener to everyone who are in the same situation. it’s definitely hard as fck to accept and love a child of another woman and then call him/her/them your own. it’s not an easy process. but this conversation truly depicts maturity. both women display empathy, maybe not towards each other, but to trey. trey is the top priority to them, and that is what’s important. we need women like jada who will be a “bonus mom” without asking something in return. she may have been doing mistakes on her marriage, but you know she is a very good mother to her 3 children. kudos to jada and sheree!
Thier oldest son is so very lucky, he has two moms who love him so much. Having a village to raise your child, or just having a village to help you live your life is more important than you think. When you don’t, or never had that village tou really see and understand how important love and family really is.
My grandparents were married for 23 years n my step grandfather n my grandma been married for 12 years now. Right now my grandfather n my step grandfather r best of friends. They go to each other houses, sit n talk n sleep under the same roof sometimes with my grandmother around. Jada n sheree display all of that.. Reminds me of my grandparents who live loving
Real women, Mature women, I love this and we need more of this. I can’t stand the reality shows that are all blinged out, materialistic, black women pulling hair out and off…and this is what young girl watch and of course immulate. But these two ladies right here??? Kudos for having a real grown up conversation about real grown up stuff. Love it!!
Jada has so much class in maturity my God my God my God is wonderful thank you Mrs. Smith God bless you God bless your family. I am a grown man and this brought me to tears because this is the maturity level that we should be at in our communities right now. We should not be disrespecting each other just because our ex’s may have married someone else as long as we have a common goal for our children to make it to the best place they can be in their lives we should all be cordial and respectful to one another’s lives and our personal respect to our relationships man this is awesome I love this show I do not have Facebook so I have to watch it on YouTube thank you so much data and I promise I will watch every episode.
Wow that’s very nice. 2 down to earth intelligent women with class. I likes that. So much respect for one another. She told Jada thank you for loving my baby. Will Smith had 2 classy down to earth women in his life. No arguing. No fighting. And no name calling. Those ladies have nothing but respect for one another. Now that’s what i called class.
It’s obvious that this is very bittersweet for them, but they’re making the best out of their situation. I remember Jada saying in the past that she made a valiant effort to include both Trey and his mother in family events. It seems that they all made sacrifices, which was for the best. I would love to hear Will’s side of this conversation, since they’re open to sharing.
