Will There Be Marriage In Paradise Jw?

Marriage began in Paradise, and when it is restored to earth under the kingdom of the Lord God, there will be marriage until the divine purpose in such a union is fulfilled. However, it is unclear whether those resurrected to life in the new world will marry or not. The Jehovahs Witness view on whether people who live during the millennium on a paradise earth will be able to marry and have children is based on a belief that the more closely we conform to God’s standards while living in this wicked world, the easier it will be.

Jehovah promises a time when “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” The righteous will be those who lived before Jesus came to earth, including faithful servants of Jehovah, like Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Ruth, and Esther. In Paradise, there will be plenty of food and no hunger.

The Bible emphasizes how the Bible can help couples have a lasting, loving, and happy marriage. In many countries, the government authorizes ministers of Jehovah’s Witnesses to solemnize marriages, and children born there will be to married couples.

Jehovah promises a time when “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” In the restored paradise earth, there will be no immorality, and children born there will be to married couples. Faithful surviving couples will continue their married life after Armageddon directly into the restored Paradise, with single survivors enjoying the privilege of having children.

Do you reunite with your spouse in heaven as a Catholic?

Indeed, this very suffering, accepted with faith, will be transformed into glory. Many spouses will experience true love for each other only when they will be reunited in God, and with this love there will be the joy and fullness of the union that they did not know on earth. In God all will be understood, all will be excused, all will be forgiven.

Some will ask of course about those who have been legitimately married to different people, widowers and widows who have remarried. (This was the case presented to Jesus of the seven brothers who successively had the same woman as their wife.) Even for them we must repeat the same thing: That which was truly love and self-surrender between each of the husbands or wives, being objectively a good coming from God, will not be dissolved. In heaven there will not be rivalry in love or jealousy. These things do not belong to true love but to the intrinsic limits of the creature. ZE06111001.

Which religion has the highest divorce rate?

However, these were categorized based on Evangelical Protestant, Mainline Protestant, and Historically Black Protestant groups.

In this group, Evangelical Protestants had the highest divorce rate at 28%. Historically Black Protestants, on the other hand, had a lower divorce rate of only 9% according to the study.

Among Protestant Christians, divorce rates tend to be higher compared to some other religious groups. This may be attributed to the diverse landscape of Protestant denominations, which have varying views on marriage and divorce. Some denominations may hold more permissive stances on divorce, while others may emphasize the sanctity and permanence of marriage, making divorces less common. 2.

2. Catholics 19%. Based on data from the Pew Research Center, the incidence of divorce among Catholics was relatively low, with 19% of the 4,752 individuals surveyed reporting being divorced.

Can Jehovah Witness divorce and remarry?

A person who chooses to divorce without Scriptural grounds is not free to remarry.

According to the religion, the Bible encourages married couples to stay together even under less than ideal circumstances. Many problems can be resolved by praying earnestly, applying Bible principles, and showing love.

For Jehovahs Witnesses, the Christian Bible does permit separation (not divorce) in certain extreme situations:

  • Willful nonsupport. —1Timothy 5:8.
  • Extreme physical abuse. —Psalm 11:5.
  • Absolute endangerment of spiritual life. For example, a spouse might try to force a Witness to break Gods commands in some way, and the threatened mate might decide that a separation is the only way to “obey God as ruler rather than men.” —Acts 5: 29.

Will there be food in heaven?

The manna that God sent to the Israelites for 40 years, where do you think it came from? From heaven, of course! The Bible says so! Manna is described as a wafer-like cake. If you like wafers, you will have plenty of them in heaven. In fact, we are even told in the Scriptures that manna is the food of angels. So angels can eat too. But Im certain that unlike what obtains here on earth where you need food to be alive, nobody needs food to be alive in heaven because theres no death in heaven. Hallelujah! You can have fruits in heaven and you can eat cakes if you like. You can eat if you want to, your choice. I tell you, you dont want to miss heaven, especially if you are a foodie. And if you are a chef, you can be sure that your career wont end here on earth. When you get to heaven, boy!… you can cook away and bake away!

Someone may be thinking, “But the Scriptures say the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. So it means people dont eat in heaven”. Yes, I know it says that, but that is not the meaning of that verse.

Life is not a matter of eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

How do Jehovah witnesses treat their wives?

Family lifeedit. The family structure is patriarchal. The husband is considered the final authority of family decisions, as the head of his family. Marriages must be monogamous. Wives should be submissive to their husbands and husbands are to have deep respect and love for their wives, and are instructed to listen to them on all matters.88.

Husbands are instructed to treat their wives as Jesus treated his followers.89 He should not hurt or mistreat his family in any way. The father should be hard-working in providing necessities to his family. He must provide for them in a spiritual capacity. This includes religious instruction for the family, and taking the lead in preaching activities. Parental discipline for children should not be in a harsh, cruel way. Children are instructed to obey their parents.

Married couples are encouraged to speak with local elders if they are having problems. Married couples can separate in the case of physical abuse and neglect, or if one partner attempts to hinder the other from being a Jehovahs Witness.90 Remarriage after divorce is permissible only on the grounds of adultery, based on their understanding of Jesus words at Matthew 5:32 and Matthew 19:9.

Moralityedit. Jehovahs Witnesses demand high standards of morality within their ranks.91 Their view of sexual behavior reflects conservative Christian views. Abortion is considered murder.92 Homosexuality, premarital sex, and extramarital sex are considered serious sins.93 Gender transitioning is considered contrary to nature and sex reassignment surgery is considered a form of mutilation.94 If a transgender person who has already undergone a mutilating operation of this sort wishes to become a member of the denomination, the person is expected to live according to their biological sex, and to leave their spouse if biologically the same sex.95.

Divorce and religion might not always make the morning news anymore, but theres still space for exploring how they influence one another. Despite being more connected than ever, theres still not a ton of research on how religion does or doesnt impact divorce rates in America. Yet, the statistics that are available hint at a few compelling ideas about how religion affects culture and the ways that trickles down into our relationships.

Connections Between Divorce Statistics and Religion. Since religion and marriage are often intertwined, its natural that there might be some connections between religion and divorce. Generally, every religion has its own views on partnerships, marriages, and divorce. When comparing peoples religious affiliations to their divorce rates, there is some limitedinsight into which groups in America might be more likely to divorce and which ones more rarely do.

  • When you push the teachings of Jehovism to the end, you quickly realize that it often becomes very, very bizarre. My mom died in an accident in 2018. My dad hopes to find his wife after Armageddon. When I remind him that in paradise (earthly) he won’t be able to continue his married life with Mom (resurrected), it hurts his stomach. When I tell him that Mom will no longer look like the woman he knew physically, it upsets him. This is what the toxic doctrines that are making JWs sicker and sicker look like. My father is doing violence to himself not to imagine himself in the arms of another woman in paradise while mom would look at them without feeling the slightest pain as if she had been reprogrammed by deleting certain elements of her memory. This “idyllic” image freezes my blood and looks more like a sick episode of “The Twilight Zone” than a wonderful paradise.\r For the Watchtower, the resurrected (on earth) will not be able to marry or remarry. The Watchtower says they will be like angels. They will no longer feel carnal, sexual, and emotional needs. Angels would therefore be beings without sexual needs like the resuscitated. The angels could not, therefore, feel the slightest attraction for women or for men like the resuscitated ones who would feel no desire for the other sex. \r Why would angels (who have no sexual orientation) only be attracted to women?\r Why would asexual angels who were not created to have sexual desires have sexual attraction only for women? Because these human writings were written only by men.

  • Another very insightful, accurate article. Thank you so much on this Memorial Day. I remember the intense discussions among “the friends” back in the day on this subject. If only jws could see and comprehend the message of this article. If they could just realize that there isn’t going to be an earthly paradise let alone the complete BS that the governing body continues to feed them about who will and will not be able to marry in the fake paradise. My sister-in-law was a pioneer, was in a foreign congregation for multiple years. She finally met a brother who she deemed was as “perfect” as she believed herself to be. They married-she was in her 40’s. They planned to have kids in the new system. They were so happy. Then about 10 years into the marriage, he developed a rare cancer and died. She vowed that she would never remarry, as she was waiting for him to be resurrected in the new system so that they could continue as a married couple! She knew all about the jw teaching on this but refused to believe it. She never remarried and then she developed cancer and died-WAITING on the fake paradise. You took me out with the part about the single sisters today man! I couldn’t stop laughing, despite it being so tragic. It’s just how you described it. Seriously think about it, where are these single brothers suppose to be coming from for the VAST ARMY of single sisters?? And no wonder the governing body talks about destroying disobedient ones in the new system who refuse to conform/obey. Hell look at those sadistic conditions!

  • I love how they’ll say “there’s reason to believe”. Like what do you mean? I thought Jesus spoke to you and listening to you is like listening to Jesus. So why not authoritatively say “Jesus said”? Oh, that’s right, because he didn’t and you’ve got millions of people’s minds twisted into believing this bullshit. Can’t stand that organization! Great episode Stacey!

  • Stacey, raging hormones have forced countless 17-19 year old JW’s to get married because of strict rules against fornication. Many of these marriages turn out to be disasters. No shortage of cold, loveless married couples in any kingdom hall. Young people need time to grow, mature and date without the pressure to marry. Watchtower does a great injustice and causes lifelong regrets by forcing premature marriages just to assuage a biological need that all young people feel.

  • Fantastic research. I was actually shocked that they had flipflopped so much on this topic as well as so many others. Messing with people’s lives, so sad. . I can imagine the confusion over there in Watchtower Land. Thank You so very much for the work you put into these thoroughly researched material. Really appreciate .

  • One of the cringiest (and perhaps saddest) things to happen to me in a Kingdom Hall was a single elder talking to me about the “Available after Armageddon” group. Those holding out for that perfect partner… The really sad part was the guy obviously wanted to be with someone, and I think this was his Hail Mary hope as it were. She was out there. Somewhere. In paradise…

  • Stacey, we have the same fire about this subject. I have always, always been disturbed about this teaching and when my mother died, it bothered me even more so because of how in love my parents were. I sat here crying listening to this episode because those feelings are still raw and it’s been nearly 10 years since she died. To greedily take the beautiful emotions we as humans have towards those we love and to muddy the waters with these crazy asinine “teachings”, teachings that absolutely rob ones of any peace of mind regarding the subject and placing crazy stipulations that ARE NOT ANYWHERE IN THE BIBLE, it’s criminal!! Get them to believe you speak for God, make them believe there’s consequences for not doing what you say and then crush them with rules, so so many rules and replace any natural joy with the governing body form of joy. I hate that organization. With ALL of the means of life within my body, I can’t stand them. This episode really shows how evil they are and when you made the point about not knowing how not having a partner while being perfect will feel, yet at the same time showing that it’s already been demonstrated how being partnerless while being perfect feels, that was clear as a bell. Thank you man, thank you.

  • I’m going to go out on a limb, and I know that you acknowledged all the other great exJW websites out there, but after listening to this article (and I have listened to all of yours), I am convinced that any JW who listened to your articles would be on the way out of this religion, sooner or later. I’m thoroughly convinced. And, if a GB member ever listened to your articles, it would send an arrow right to their hearts – if they still have one.

  • I agree with what you have posted and thank you so much for this. The pic of the brother who remarked: “I’d love to ask you out. . .but well, you’re one of those resurrected people. . .sorry” hits a cord, in that there are a number of dubs now who will make a few DIFFERENTIATIONS when it comes to not only choosing marriage partners but also friendships as well. Titles (called “privileges of service” in WT Universe) are for several dubs are very imperative, not only for themselves personally but concerning members who they befriend and marry. IMPHO, this is extremely ASSININE and FOOLISH! Persons cannot make the assumption due to a title or badge of some sort that that individual is going to be a “Great Human Being” to be a friend or wife or husband. It has been documented that there has been a variety of entitled dubs that have proven to be the WORST choices in these areas/categories! WT has already in a few past literature established for the members that housing in the WT Universe Paradise will be CHOSEN BY BOEs for dubs and their families–no more personal choices as to where they will “build their own vines and fig trees”! This all is INSANE! The MICROMANAGING of this cultporation now and in their projection of the future is astounding plus speaks volumes–ON A VERY BAD LEVEL! End of rant, folks!

  • Hi Stacy, I love love love your website I’m 67 years old. I’ve been out of the organization about 48 years or so. Anyway, I didn’t realize but I guess the zombies. Oops I meant resurrected people won’t be able to get married. Oh well I’m sure there’s a lot of hotties, but again you can’t marry a zombie. Keep up the awesome work love your show. I tell everyone even other Podcasters who I talk with about your show it’s real man it rocks keep them coming with love Keith.

  • This is a silliness when they take a wonderful and poetic and brilliant description of human development from birth to death into a historical fact. Look at the description Paradise: child joyfulness amazed by a beautiful flower the beauty of nature, they are without fear, being naked is not part of their world. Then we move to youth, the discovery of sexuality, the need to be dressed, questioning the status quo..the serpent is the WHY? questions of life and death the discovery and attraction of the opposite sex. Finally adulthood: the pain of childbearing, the hard work to sustain a family, the facing od old age, sickness and death. Looking this way Genesis 2 make a lot of sense.

  • Oh good gawd. The GB has always been out of control, but this is ridiculous. I liked them better when we didn’t know who they were and could ignore their speculatory “mandates”. How these idiots can remain is beyond me. On another note, I miss Sunday night Disney! Right after Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. My grandpa died in the 60s, grandma never remarried (lived to be 100) but had a big crush on Marlin Perkins ❤😂 Serendipity! One of my all-time fave romcoms… although anything with Jeremy Piven in it 😏

  • There is an “evil slave” in charge. (Matt 24:48-51) He “beats the other slaves” and gets some to follow. (Luke 12:45-48) Upon seeIng this, Jesus orders us to leave and head for the mountains. (Matt 24:15) He says “let the reader use discernment” not listen to a “faithful slave.” Jehovah’s brilliant prophesy only gives us more reason to believe and trust in him.

  • Being mentally out (and mostly physically, too), but keeping a pulse on this religion throughout the years since 2004 on EXJW websites, I wasn’t aware of what the leaders said about marriage after the resurrection in that 2014 article. Unbelievable! These leaders are so full of crap throughout the decades, it’s not even funny. Your work on this subject (and others) is phenomenal Stacy! And, your logic is solid!

  • “Stupid bastards” is what you call the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I couldn’t disagree more because that characterization of these men is too kind and too subtle. These are men who have poisoned, attacked, and even destroyed many, many human relationships. They have sown doubt and fear among their followers. Their “spiritual paradise” is overrun with rapacious, man-killing beasts and deadly growths of all kinds. Yet millions of their followers remain entrapped because they have bought into the lie that there is nowhere else to go for enlightenment and refreshment. Please keep up your good work, my brother. Your podcasts are helping more than you perhaps know, and I want to wish you continued success and goodwill.

  • I watched an interview with a former Bethelite ex-JW once where he mentions he knew a guy at Brooklyn who joined after his beloved(non-JW) wife died and he would always say he didn’t care what anyone said, he knew he would be with his wife again in paradise, because paradise is perfect, complete, and eternal happiness, so it wouldn’t be paradise for him without her. I wish more J-Dubs would openly defy at least the more ridiculous doctrines like this, I wonder how many secretly/privately do. Also, I’m guessing the “procreation mandate” is referring to Genesis 1:28.

  • Another excellent article Stacy! Thank you for mentioning the Watchtower article. I had been looking for that article regarding if the resurrected could have children in the New System. Also, your critical thinking is fantastic. Great point bringing up how the resurrected won’t marry, but God’s purpose was for man to not be alone, hence the reason why god made woman. Thank you for exposing the many cracks in the bible & within the JW Organization. Serendipity is a good one. If you haven’t seen it, watch the Lake House with Keanu Reeves & Sandra Bullock. Keep up the great work that you do.

  • I was wondering what made you get out of this crazy organisation ? maybe you have a article about that can you link it to me if you have pls. Here is a banana and an Elephant pet you got me on this one lmao ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. If all your articles do not wake up those still in this crazy organization I think nothing will ever wake them up Great article again 🙂 ty for being so realistic and funny at the same time I guess if we all stop and think about all what the WT write we could see it is all none senses

  • Great article! I would binge resurrection island 🤣 I wonder if certain foods or drink that are “aphrodisiacs” will be banned from paradise… or maybe they will be hung on a tree and a snake will ask us to take them! 🤣 Also! How is that PO Box set up coming along?😁 can’t wait to send you the selections of single origin coffee we have!

  • Awesome Stacey,,,,,,, you’re golden really,,, hearing this podcast made me laugh and a feel bitter also,,,,, you’re resurrected and can’t start your life again and bound to live forever never age but,,,,,,, can’t find a partner and no nucky, lol you had me laughing with your part of king David and his son Solomon who had women like baseball cards and are bound to be alone lol David has to be like “hey is this my payoff I kill Goliath and write the psalms the biggest book in the bible ok my sonny boy Solomon finished it for me but still, is this my payoff ” lol again awesome podcast Stacey thank you and again till next week,,,

  • If single individuals are resurrected as spiritual beings without the need for physical companionship or procreation, how can they experience a sense of fulfillment and completeness without the presence of intimate relationships or the ability to form new ones? If marriage and family relationships cease to exist in the resurrection, how do Jehovah’s Witnesses reconcile the strong emphasis they place on family values and the importance of marriage in their current teachings and practices? Since Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the new system will restore the Earth to a paradise-like state, where individuals will experience joy and contentment, how can single individuals fully experience this joy if they are denied the opportunity for companionship and romantic love? If the purpose of the new system is to restore and perfect all aspects of creation, including human relationships, why would Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the resurrection would eliminate the opportunity for individuals to form new marriages and relationships, which are considered fundamental in their current belief system?

  • The question I ask myself is: why does this god presented in Genesis have this absurd idea of creating potentially immortal human mammals surrounded by other mortal mammals? And to ask them to procreate like mammals? In the hypothesis of monogamous couples with perfect pregnancies and even with a limited stock of ovocytes, the population could have increased tenfold every 25 years, and in 300 years we would have reached one hundred billion. What next? Return to the asexual and angelic state? Why this hybrid creation? Populate other planets? Would it be better to have a direct creation adapted to these planets? Under this bizarre hypothesis of earthly paradise for immortal humans confined for eternity in a finite world, it is normal to see the absurd conjectures of the GB…

  • My extended family & friend group has a lifelong love of Winnie the Pooh & Disney. I especially love the older animal based stuff. Disney helped me survive my childhood & the nonsensical WT teachings that were dream & future crushing! The men who dreamed this BS up have NO decency or LOVE in them. With 4 brothers, Ive watched them suffer & destroy women & children…because they believed what the WT says about women. How could a marriage work with those kind of gender biases? Teaching that stuff should be against the law. It is sick to tell people that there wont be marriage or those type of opportunities in “the mellenium”. Then,…anyone still believes it when they find out that now they have to spend the 1000 years being micro managed, alone & still fighting evil? Lol, GOD help them! Oh, right, He isnt helping now. Why think He will EVER help? Sad fantasy! All the miserable marriages & never married women & childless couples & ones who have lost pregnancies or children. Suffering deliberately inflicted! Being free of that fantasy thinking has saved my life & been the happiest part of my life. What a huge relief!

  • There may be something you left out that adds yet more sauce to this dish! In my time associating I hear a few novel ideas – some in print. There was a view that we would all end up speaking Hebrew and blend into one colour! The latter would necessarily involve a lot of racial cross-breeding! Nice work if you can get it! Best of all, as there are more sisters than brothers, POLYGAMY will be ! back. Naturally, the brothers were greatly encouraged by this prospect. On a more serious note …… It may be possible that marriage might not be required for those resurected? If they are not fertile, then maybe they will be allowed to live and love freely? Who knows? There is, after all, only one way to find out! PS, I believe that there is cogent evidence that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. He was a practicing Jew after all. He knew what it was like to be human – tired footsore etc. Surely he would know of our need to pair-bond firsthand. There is a problem with such Biblical imagery as him being “married” to the church. Hitler was supposedly married to Germany. We know what he did to Germany don’t we? I think it was the sort of thing one might do on date night. I have to put it in these terms so as not to offend YouTube sensibilities.

  • JW’s do not teach that you won’t be reunited as a family. However they do explain the evidence that the Bible gives us that we WILL be reunited and will definitely NOT be alone! Read the book of Isaiah it has quite a bit of information about how we will be at that time after all is done and it’s so encouraging! Read the Bible DONT just go believing what people say!

  • I think there will be er …….. preaching and teaching to do in Paradise ….. yes plenty of door knocking and Bible studies, I don’t reckon you will need to count the time as you will be living forever ! Don’t forget there will be new scrolls…. Probably new instructions from God telling everyone how when and where to worship him and what punishment he will give if you don’t obey his every whim. On the plus side Stacey, the weather should be better … good news for us British ! and the surroundings will be pretty oh and no Taxes to pay ( we hope ) !

  • Hi everybody I read just a few comments about all this jw teachings How can all or most of you still be beleivers in a god that is completly narcisstic Since I stopped beleiving that there is a creator who claims that he has made all things … I managed to stop drinking . . . I found out that I could beleive in myself and just stop culpabilising about everything . . .I remember better now about this so called ALLMYIGHTY made so many mistakes . . . This bible god has permitted so much pain to this planet . Wake up good people It is the human species that are destroying our HOME. . . All my love to everybody …john brock l gs

  • If a man needs to be told over and over how good, talented, and how you worship him, as in kiss his feet, and other brown parts of his body??? Correct me if I am wrong but that sounds to me like a narcissistic male human being. When GOD created man, SHE was only joking. Sorry men, I know that some of you are very genuinely good from the heart people, this is not directed to you. Women can be equally unbearable. This Organization proves over and over that they are very monarchistic. Women having to cover their heads in the presence of a male child if a prayer is needed, what impression does that leave in a young boys head?? and as he grows older?? Narcissist in the making? Thank you, Surviving Paradise.

  • I completely agree I left the sect few yrs ago The ppl who said that they were my brother & sister been there NO ONE has visit me or call me for them I’m a worldly person now Guess who has been there for me since day one Knowing that I rejected so many invitations, gathering, family time my family friends ” worldly ppl” they been with me since day one this called sincere love 🫂 true love

  • This “we are better than the rest of the world” is so typical of religions, in general (ex: Christians are trained to think they’re going to heaven, which is the sky, while non-Christians are doomed for hell, which is the ground; however, they’re taught that heaven is some magical place and that hell is a place of fiery torment). But, of course, the Jehovah’s Witnesses religion, like others of its kind, are more serious in the way they handle the “Us vs. Them” dichotomy (making the “cultness” obvious to outsiders). Glad you were able to free yourself from this bar-less prison! I know it wasn’t easy.

  • She is saying the truth, their love is conditional. My jw sister knows I’m jw but will not call me at all. Will never ask how my living and family are doing. She doesn’t even ask her unbelievers brother’s family situations too, my brothers told me she just sends jw literatures and preach but never ask how their children are doing. It’s her nephews and nieces but doesn’t even know how old they are now. Actually lacks natural affection😢

  • It’s ridiculous I quit a month ago now I’m in mental health therapy I was born a witness my parents quit when I was 10. I was abused my whole life by my father and mother. My father was physically and mentally abusive my mother constantly had sex with multiple men even at my school. They never got caught quit first. I went back got baptized 4 years ago they never treated me good I was in the Army I’m a disabled vet and I retired law enforcement officer. They always said ugly things about being a cop or carrying a gun so I would ask well you call the cops so if you make him or her blood guilty by shooting someone wouldn’t you be the same if you defended yourself and God would forgive you? They would say no they are worldly so it doesn’t matter. I would point out the Bible Exodus 22:2-3 they say we are not under law anymore witch I agree but they pick and choose what to use from the Bible and what not to use. They mentally abuse people and say don’t stumble your brother with alcohol better to just obtain from it all together. I would ask if a brother or sister had a problem with alcohol shouldn’t they follow Bible advice and show humility by telling someone what if it stumbles someone else who wanted a glass of wine. They would say well yes but just don’t serve any alcohol. I have had enough lies-abuse wanted to kill myself I could write an encyclopedia on how many times I have been outright wronged by so called brothers and sisters but the main point is THEY TELL YOU TO BELIEVE IN THE SLAVE/GOVERNING BODY without question which is non biblical.

  • I’ll say it again, thank you so much for your articles on this subject! You really help me to understand what is going on in my neighbors’ minds as they are JWs and their behavior is very odd to say the least. Now i just need to figure out how to get them to stop sending me letters in the mail asking me to join them!

  • As a Teem in the religion i definitely belived this i presceived it as a fact. As I grow i notice more and more things that are horrible our hall is corrupt and it used to be worse the parents are abusive and the elder look past it and how people are blind thinking everone there is amazing my mom being blind as well its horrible. We are taught that the worldly people are the blind ones who cant see past their own feet. I realise that the world has love but its still hard for me to perseive people that arent in the region as kind people. Love you, becky

  • My husband grew up in the Jehovah church. He was disfellow…kick out Him and his wife then. We meet he promised never to return to that religion. We have been married 25 years I am raising grandchildren. For the last 2 1/2 years he was making his way back and he never told me anything. One grandchild is total care he has CP. He still pays the bills, however he has informed me in a year or two he is quiting workin. I am 68 years old my husband is 65. My oldest grandson is 17, the youngest is 14. Well I just thought he was a good man. However he has left us. He graces me with a call maybe once a week. He should have done this when I was a younger women and had a career. Like I said he never even gave me any indication he was going back to Jehovah church. He promised hed never would…..but here we are.

  • 1st time viewer here. People have all kinds of reasons for stepping in for A SINGLE visit to the “Hall”. When I visited it wasn’t because I missed the love. Their love is conditional. Agape is unconditional. IJ went 28 years after I woke up, to attend my mother’s memorial. I didn’t have to go. We had already had a memorial as well as a graveside service. For me it was just a brief step into my past. It was like stepping into the hallways of your Elementary School as an adult. Platform, lectern, seats and the back room all looked “small”. No longer a place with weight or authority. True freedom.

  • People outside have more fellow feeling than those inside. They act more Christian. They follow Jesus. As you related your story Becky. I felt you sustained severe injustices due to their shunning practice. Your family missing out on your accomplishments must be hard. Throughout this, you had people support you. I had injustices in my life as well. I lost my father’s rights to visitation in 2015 due to my ex lying to the court system. It burns me. I paid child support for 11 years and paid it off last year. It is hard but I keep going. We all have had issues with org but we pursue what we are good at. It is what we do regardless of the criticism and jealousy that Watchtower’s leadership keeps pushing. We maintain our focus.

  • Yes… nonJW’s do show love. I have been out for less than 2 years and a coworker was kind enough to offer me to stay at his place when I hurt my back at work… since I did not have a place at the time and he wanted me to recover. I hate the term “worldly” with all that implies to JWs, so I just call them nonJWs. Bad and good exist within and without religion so no one has a monopoly on showing goodness or love.

  • You no Becky after I left the jws went back to being catholic I have friends who are not believers we still associate even went to a friend’s wedding even tho he is atheist remember cults want to control you and are very legalistic I remember an elder who had to step down because his twin son and daughter went to a university college so sad congrats on your miss fitness contest

  • Dear Becky, I completely agree with you! ❤ First there was a lot of fear, what could happen, if I would leave, especially when the whole family, (4 generations) even the own kids are inside. But I had the courage to leave. A world of interesting people was opened (surely also idiots, like everywhere) Now I’m no more a like a puppy on a string, a victim of an organisation which is manipulating people with fear, guilt, shame bad conscience and gaslithing. It’s like an exiting adventure – I feel like a scout, a treasure seeker, my trip to discover myself. Leaving all this unreasonable and suffocating fears behind me, opening my mind and heart to my new life. Having the complete confidence and trust like a toddler in his/her parents, that everything will be fine. It was and still is a hard trip, after very bad depressions and doomsday mood over decades. Especially when it’s about my loved family it really hurts, but it’s worth it. With love and patience it’s possible to open the eyes of those loved ones. Especially now, with all this incredible changements every month, people start to reason. Now I’m discovering a lot of wonderful and exiting things, my whole life changed! My power and energy is growing and increasing continuously. I finally can be myself, taking responsibility over my own life, expanding all my creativity. This is, how God created us- each of us – differently. It’s a sign of diversity, which we can find in whole nature. A tulip never want to be a rose but it’s blooming in its own beauty.

  • I was inactive for years and I went back because i wanted to. I have no family that i missed. I went back because of everything happening in this world. Everyone says how controlling religion is. I agree but if u ever read the old testament its how it always was. God is not a permissive God. Being a Christian isnt for most people because it requires doing things we may not want to.

  • As a spirit filled Christian, I feel God’s presence regularly, but its His relationship that guides my life and brings true joy and freedom. Jehovah’s Witness resemble a cult, but Jesus came to set us free from the “Law” of sin and death. Don’t miss your opportunity to know the Lord because of a few crazies!

  • I found out that many jw men in positions of prominence tend to be more abusive and controlling than plain rank and file. I knew of two jw elders who both claimed to be anointed and they had a tend to be abusive. I was on the receiving end of abuse by one of these guys when I was eighteen. I always wondered how or why Jesus would choose such awful people to rule with him in heaven when they mistreated people while on earth.

  • Why would they ever go back ?? Why should they ?? They aren’t dogs returning to their vomit !! Love !! Conditional love conditional on you subjecting yourself to dictatorship by Elders up to the G..B. members. I was also born into and raised in this filth. I walked away early 1980s. 1946 is my birth year. My walking away cost me my marriage and seeing my children grow up. They are alive which they may not be if the marriage limped along. You won’t inherit the paradise earth is blackmail. Further blackmail is losing your family members and possibly long term friends. Blood thicker than water ?? Not with these modernday Pharisees.

  • The reason why EXJW’s tend to come back is because they leave the religion and have nowhere to go. Sure, you can meet nice people, but they’re hard to come by, especially nowadays. There needs to be a religous community that EXJW’s can go to. Right now all of the EXJW groups that HAVE formed are far too bitter and/or atheistic.

  • All my friends were ‘in the world’ and I’m glad that I lived a normal one will always remember a house track by Karma Kid and found it more useful then the Bible itself to instill, was the first time someone sung to me telling me I could live forever, well them words are thrown around in that place like you have to do anything for it, your destined to live forever whether it be technology in the future preparing us or a genuine angel resurrecting and bringing back to life, no point hating Jesus or believers I’m sure there’s still more he would like to say but the world won against him because the light was not yet bright enough and still isnt

  • More importantly, the world also has over two billion Christians, most of whom believe that the sinless Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross as an all-time sacrifice so that their sins could be forgiven. Whosoever believes in Jesus as their Saviour and follows Him will be saved for eternity. John 11 25-26. That is the Good News of God’s Holy Word. Each person who believes and follows Jesus Christ, not men, not a cult nor an organisation. Psalm 146 3. John 14 6. John 3 16. 🙏 🙏 .
