Father God brought us together in a miraculous way, and has kept us together just the same. Thank you for confirmation, as I was just recently thinking on this matter again. But the Lord knows I do not listen to many messengers these days at all. And I don’t know if you remember me telling you this a few months ago, but Jesus said to listen to you; for what I have been told, you have been told. You really are like my twin. Before the fall, the Lord God created a companion for Adam. They had glorified bodies and were indeed walking with the Lord. God said nothing about “marriage” he gave a “companion”. Jesus’ shed blood restores that relationship with our Father. God has always desired to walk with us. Therefore, considering that Adam and Eve were created as companions to one another before the fall, would it be so hard to reason that the Lord God has shown us an example? That His intent before the Fall was for man and woman to be companions? The lamb will lie with the lion and man will have a heavenly companion. Again. It gives me chills and brings me to tears that our God loves us that much. My most heartfelt prayer and desire is that someday our children and my wife and I will be in His presence for eternity. Nothing else matters really.

Going on 25 and still no girlfriend…. it’s mentally hard living with that fact day after day. At this point of my life now, I can’t help feeling negative. I really don’t understand how some people are content with being alone. I’m really lonely and desire female companionship but no one is attracted to negativity.
It is God’s desire that we all be married, as a loving couple, as husband and wife. This is because we resemble God’s image together as one couple. No single people are allowed in the Kingdom of Heaven. But, due to the fall, this didn’t happen. Jesus wanted to accomplish this, but he was rejected. The Lord of the Second Advent WILL accomplish this and finally bring humankind back to God’s lineage through the blessing of marriage.
I think God has a plan for us all quite possibly our soul mate is actually our eternal mate. The person we are with now or the one we are waiting for could be in the works of our eternal lifetime. When taking it, I have been confessing an exchange of his holy, eternal, uncorrupted blood for my blood, to be healed, etc. So in this context, why did Jesus say drink my blood and Apostle Paul, continue with that sacrament.?? I use to do a lot of online gaming. There was one person I who I use to play with and we pretty much fell head over heels for each other. This person in reality was a different culture, religion, economic class and lived far away. He talked of us meeting and being together offline but it just didn’t seem plausible to me. Online is the big equalizer, but in reality the disparity between us was too great and I’m not comfortable with relationships where there’s a huge imbalance of power (especially if im on the loosing end). But we had a great connection. When race, money, culture and society wasn’t an issue, I’ve yet to see two people fit together as well as we did. So I said probably one of the cutest things I’ve EVER said in my entire life. I told him maybe, if God allows, we’ll be together in heaven, so that he should be good so God will give us his blessings, to be together in heaven. We lost touch a long time ago. He did something…kind of strange and I ran away from him and pretty much stopped online gaming and didn’t talk to him for almost 10 years (it was REALLY strange, but I don’t want to get into it here). Almost another 10 years has passed since our last brief meeting which means about 20 years has gone by and all though I don’t regret running away from him (It was bordering on disturbing what he did) I do find myself hoping my dream comes true and I can be with him in a better world. Even if just as friends if not lovers. I was a little disheartened when I was taught what Jesus said about there is no given in marriage at the resurrection.

He is the first and the last, the alpha and the omega. He knew whence he came and where he was going. It is an absolute gem, a bit more insight into the being who was Yeshua, Jesus, the Christ. The son of God. Straight up speaks in first person through Solomon. Who walked in the garden, in “the inhabitable part of the earth” meaning the earth was not yet all habitable. Who walked to Abraham, who had the sword drawn infront of Joshua. Muslim to Jew, Christian to Catholic, disregard domination and pursue the truth, we’ll all come to the same conclusion. There is only one thing I slightly disagree with. I think that anyone who is worthy to go to Heaven at all is entitled to the full benefits of Heaven. Therefore, I believe that if romantic companions is a part of Heaven for some people, then it is available to everyone who goes there. Since you have to give your life to Christ to go to Heaven anyway, then everyone up there will meet that criteria. If it is not good for a man to be alone, and everyone God brings to Heaven is redeemed, then it is not good for anyone to be alone, including people at every “level”. In other words, I don’t believe in levels of salvation. It’s like saying that some people who are U.S. citizens are not allowed to own businesses in the U.S. or visit the White House. If you have your U.S. citizenship, then you’re entitled to the full benefits of that citizenship. If you have your Heavenly citizenship then you’re entitled to the full benefits of that citizenship.
Jesus was asked this question. He was asked if a woman marries a man, he dies, she marries his brother he dies and so on to the seventh brother. Okay, at the end of time, whose wife will she be? Jesus said, in the next “life” there will be NO marriage and given in marriage. We will be like the angels. See, they don’t need to have relations to keep the species going. So I believe that everyone will still be themselves but have a very different, well, for lack of a better word, “material” existence.

Its tough for me having gone through a divorce last year. I’m hopeful for the rapture, but at the same time would like to meet someone before that day. I would like to have one person that is looking forward to seeing me more than anyone else there. I hope that when it says no marriage is just is referring to the physical, because even when God was with Adam in the garden and he beheld his glory, God said it was not good for him to be alone.

What Jesus does say is the Law of the Levirate is no longer a thing. But two people falling in love is universal human experience. The very idea of that going away is preposterous. The idea of it not being physically experienced in sex is absurd. So yes, marriage and sex don’t ever go away. They were created as good before the Fall.
Everyone will be friends. It doesn’t matter what scripture said in the beginning. Just because Adam and Eve were made husband and wive, and they were husband and wife on earth after the exile, does not mean they will be husband and wife in heaven. And just because they were husband and wife initially, doesn’t mean we keep out marriages in heaven. The bible is clear. We will be made like angels, not given in marriage. It also says we ARE a bride, so anything else would be adultery, especially if the messiah himself is husband.

But it’s my belief that all who desire a companion with be united with their eternal companion. And there will be some who simply for a time or forever might not want to do anything other than serve the Lord. Think on those angels who fly round and round the Lord saying HOLY, HOLY, HOLY. The Bible says that if we delight ourselves in the Lord, he will give us the desires of our heart. That promise cannot return void, so if you want a mate in heaven you can have one, and who knows, maybe even more than one, (It’s called paradise) and if you never had children I think you can have them too if that’s your hearts desire

We must not forget that in the place where God lives we will be companions of one another in The Lord. We seek companionship now because that is the design here on Earth and to pro-create. We worry about things that we should not. I’m sure that Heaven will be soooo more different than it is here on earth and so much more beautiful. Those who die will have resurrected bodies, new glorified bodies and therefore will not procreate because we will be ruling and reigning over mankind with Jesus.
I’ve always believed there’s marriage in heaven. Using a little common sense when interpreting scripture correctly goes a long ways when trying to understand exactly what scripture means correctly. It’s sad how certain things are misunderstood and thought of in ways God did not intend. Some need to understand everyone has their own ideas or interpretations of scripture. There are some that cleave to their own opinion and will argue with others when they don’t agree with them. Good grief I just went round and round with a guy trying to tell me no it means this. So I asked where in the Bible does it say to judge RIGHTEOUSLY to the false Christians. I asked where in the Bible does it say that. He gave me two verses. I then read the verses and no I did NOT come away with the same understanding. The righteous judge RIGHTEOUSLY is not in the Bible at all. I understood it as saying judge RIGHTEOUSLY and to speak up for the weak and poor. Meaning it’s RIGHTEOUS to judge them as needy and poor. Not judge them personally. I don’t know who the heck this guy thought he was but,I found it rather disturbing he was so narrow minded and stuburn to boot. Wouldn’t listen to my opinions at all. Just kept saying I’m a fake Christian because I don’t agree with his opinion. Said I don’t know scripture,I’m illiterate because of a freakin typo. He called me of ignorant as well. Beautiful message. I believe eternal companion as well. People who visited Heaven told us that there is eternal companion, that is spiritual union and no procreation. Some people will survive 7 years of tribulation and will enter with natural physical body into Christ’s one thousand year rein and produce children.
Yes very simple answer read the Lords covenants with Noah after the flood, Abraham, David and his promise of a 1000 generations to those who love him. I am a firm believer that all things are Possible. In our nature minds it’s hard to picture what eternity will be like considering we will have different bodies. The scripture in Isaiah 60 despite the great extension in age, there is still death and the sin that leads to it. The passage does not describe the present age and cannot fit within the Eternal State, where there is no death (Rev. 21:4).
Yes there will be mairriage and children born on the new earth but not in Heaven. The Saints who died will receive new glorified bodies and they will not have children or be given into mairriage . However, Jesus never addressed the mortals who survived the 1000 years who chose God and not Satan in the final rebellion. I believe those will continue on and have children and be married. They will have to eat from the trees of life, the trees that bear fruits in different months for healing. I have heard many say, our soul has no gender, that maybe true, but Paul talked about a new house (body) that we will gain, and before the fall in the garden, God said this is good, so i do believe our mate in heaven will be taken directly from our new bodies DNA, creating our perfect mate, it will not be a marriage in the traditions of men, and that was what Jesus was explaining to them that asked the question, who’s wife will she be in the afterlife.
Almost, Eave wanted to be like Dad, and that’s why she made her choice. They were both kicked out because they didn’t need God to take care of them like children any longer, and where given a way to be saved, in which Cain had trouble with. Then the plan of salvation set up by God, everyone must know it has to come from God and you have to know that it does, by someone coming out of heaven to put it into place, not the current belief system that most know, the same for marriage.

I have to put a input in this because i noticed that the exact scripture you give us in the beginning Proverbs 8:22-31 it states that the earth was already founded and we never were with him before the earth began in proverbs 8:29 it states : When he gave the sea his decree that the water should not pass his commandment when he appointed the foundations of the earth. It says that he already founded the earth and created it and in the last verse 31 it states that he rejoiced with the sons of men on the earth so we never were with him before the earth
God created man male and female before the fall, or before sin entered the world, and God said it was very good. Then God said, it is not good for man to be alone, again before the fall. So God made man an helpmeet, called ‘woman’. And it was very good. The question is, did the first pair, (husband and wife), have sexual relationship before the fall? I believe so! So if Adam and Eve enjoyed sexual relationship before the fall, which God created and was very good, (and not sinful), why would it be sinful, or not good, on new earth where sin will be no more? Would God change His mind and suddenly decide to recreate man unisex? That’s not God, that’s the enemy who wants to destroy marriage and whatever God created.
And if your argument be the case, if a man or a woman married multiple times on the earth- due to divorce or spousal death. How heaven recognize them as covenant companion ship when the Bible encourages a person to have ONE wife. I believe marriage is more so pertinent to the earth that we live in to populate the earth but in New Jerusalem it will be a different realm.

What of the ex lgbt community in companionship? I, a female, turned away from my girl to be with the Lord. It’s not been awesome or wonderful or even that rewarding on the earth for me but I know it’s right. Will we all just be miraculously straight and enjoy a hetero companion in heaven?? Prophet Among us you are correct. I did some debating on this and even though I dont agree with all your reasons I have come to this conclusion. No there will be no mairrages, sex or dating for the resuurected saints in Heaven but God in his word makes promises to 2 different groups the righteous resurrrected the Church and those who will be alive and remain and never taste death, those who remain in human bodies and do not get resurrected or glorified. Matt 22 addresses those from the past and up until the end of this age who will die and be resurrected no they will not marry or be given into marriage . However, Revelation speaks of two different resurrections the 1st is only for the righteous both OT and NT when Jesus returns. The Second is at the end of the 1000 years for only the unrighteous or wicked who will be thrown into lake of fire. NO rigtheous will be resurrected in 2nd one. Which means those who do not taste death when Jesus returns and are seperated with the other sheeps will inherit eternal life in human bodies and they will never die again . Those born in the millennium to believing paretns will have children and they will chose to follow Jesus or not too. If they die at 100 or older they are not believers who never accetped Christ and they will be cast into hadees and later the lake of fire. So everyone who dies in the millennium will be accursed like Isaiah said becaue there are only 2 resurrections. Finally at end of 1000 years those who remain and alive will be taken inside of God the Father who is like the Ark in Noah day they will be protected while God renovates the heavens and earth with fire.

Are you saying some of those in Heaven are considered more special and worthy in the eyes of God than others? I was under the impression those of us who make it to Heaven are all on the same level playing field — that none of us curry favor with God and get special privileges above and beyond anyone else. Before the Fall, Adam and Eve were One spiritually, and therefore their sexual union was acceptable to God. However, after sin, there was spiritual separation between Man and woman, and therefore Marriage – an imperfect spiritual unity, becomes necessary, so that sexual relationship can continue. Physical, sexual relations must follow spiritual union.
TWO RESURRECTIONS – ONE TO HEAVEN AND ONE TO EARTH: Revelation states that there are co-rulers that will be kings and priests with Jesus for 1000 years. They will rule over the earth where mankind will be living and growing to perfection, after Armageddon. The second part of Rev 5:9 says, “… and with your blood you bought people for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings OVER THE EARTH.” This is the symbolic marriage of the lamb with the woman. There will also be an earthly resurrection of humans who will come to an accurate knowledge of Jehovah, His kingdom (Jesus is the king), and will live forever on the earth. Two different resurrections… a certain number to heavenly life and the majority (millions) to earth, the subjects under “God’s Kingdom” that we pray for in the Lord’s Prayer. As this speaker said, flesh and blood cannot inherit heaven. Fleshly men and women will be on the earth. Isaiah 34:24, “And no resident will say: “I am sick.” The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error.” And spiritual “kings and priests” will reign over them for 1000 years. Then Jesus hands the kingdom back to his Father Jehovah and subjects HIMSELF along with all of creation back to Jehovah so that Jehovah is all things to every living being. See 1 Corinthians 15:28.

This is an old article so this probably won’t get answered… but I don’t get why you’re saying some people will receive companionship as a reward and other Christians will be denied this? Where in the Bible is this? If companionship is one of the greatest blessing to people, why would God deny some people that? If they wanted it? Did not the man who worked the last hour receive the same wage as him who worked all day?
I have a question. The scripture in Genesis 2 says that Adam & Eve were formed from the dust of the earth. How can they be immortal beings if they were formed from dust on earth? In the New Testament it says the first Adam is of earth and the 2nd Adam will be of heaven. So if they were already mortal beings then weren’t they going to die anyway?

However, I have been told that such things wouldn’t matter if you have many people and believers, making you not alone. I was told that Heaven and the future would be different, but the future they say may not include somethings that were in Eden. As the tree of knowledge of good and evil, it can’t be there. So how will you answer this comment?
Interesting topic. Notice that angels do not marry but they CAN have sex, such as: “They called to Lot, “Where are the men (angels) who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”” – Genesis 19:5 (NIV) Also notice that after his resurrection Jesus teleported into his disciples house (John 20:25) and said to Thomas: “Put your finger here” to show Thomas that Jesus’ resurrection body had real physical solidity.
I want to be able to love someone and be able to raise children to pro create will God help me with this if not then all my dreams and hopes o right out the window I need answers and help I’m going off the deep end and loosing all hope and trust in God if my dream is unattainable on Earth and in heaven heaven will be of no peace to me
Cool article! this is point for point the exact same as is commonly known and accepted my members of the LDS faith (“Mormon”) doctrine which teaches that order to qualify for eternal companionship, besides accepting Jesus Christ and being baptized and living a worthy life, one needs to enter into the “New and Everlasting Covenant of Marriage” which “sealing” ordinance can only be entered into through proper God given authority. Otherwise marriage no matter who performs it and what they claim as its longevity it will be of no efficacy in the eternities.
I think true wisdom is as follows; Not to gather more information in itself, but doing what it right with the information you have. God has given us the information we need to A ) know the need of Salvation B ) know the Way of Salvation C ) How to live a Godly life through that salvation, which is in Jesus Christ And really, that is to me the only truly vital thing in life. Whatever goes about or around it I will take as it comes, guided by God’s Holy Spirit. And whatever comes after this life, I know not for certain. No doubt He will teach me as He deems wise, but none of us will know to the full until we are there. But neither would I worry about it. Whatever it’s like, whether we have an eternal companion (Heavenly spouse?) or not, it’ll all be so much better than this current life away from the Father. Period 🙂
Humans cannot be made of dust. Humans, like almost every other life-form on the earth, are carbon-based and share DNA with all of the other carbon-based relatives on the earth. Dust/ dirt is a silicone based inanimate substance, humans and animals do not return to something they weren’t made from in the first place. Genesis gets everything wrong in chapter 1 and then contradicts the Bible’s own account by having a second creation chapter which contradicts the first, while still getting all of the creation wrong.
I don’t know if you caught the word “replenish” The Lord said to “replenish” the earth. Replenish means to re-do, to restore to a formal level or condition. The bible says In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. but what happened between the creation, the 1st verse and the 2nd verse? Suddenly out of nowhere, the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Did you see that? the earth was suddenly dark and formless. But later He said go and replenish the earth. As if the earth had people before the 2nd verse. In fact, there were people on earth and how long were they on the earth before it was destroyed. And who destroyed it? Because the Lord said go and replenish the earth. And how long was it void and formless and full of darkness? What happened to the people that used to live on the earth before us? Also notice, the devil was already here. He was living on the earth when it was formless, empty and full of darkness. Out of nowhere the devil appeared to Eve and began to talk to her. That lets us know Eve wasn’t here on the earth very long because she didn’t know any better, that, animals or any other kind of living creature don’t talk. If out of nowhere your dog or cat or any other pet you may have, other than a talking bird. The only creatures that talk are human beings.
The Holy Spirit is the one DIVINE ENTITY that live in the FATHER, as we have spirit I INSIDE our body. Now the FATHER because HE is Eternal Divine can NOT die and send His HOLY SPIRIT out of HIS DIVINE BODY, then the HOLY SPIRIT can be send out into the earth to do things been the FATHER HIMSELF. So the HOLY SPIRIT is the SPIRIT of the FATHER or ABBA in ARAMAIC.
Those of lesser glory in Heaven? There is nothing but total glory in Heaven and for its inhabitants, surely? I mean nothing slightly imperfect or ‘lesser’ can be in Heaven, and that perfection of man has been bought by the blood of Jesus, not by man’s work. Therefore those who have received this gift of salvation wear the robe of His righteousness, which is perfect and acceptable in Heaven. There are different rewards in Heaven, but no-one is a second class citizen. Any thoughts?
I don’t know, where love and passion is secluded like in marriage or romantic affairs there is bound to be jealousy or regret(wanting someone else). I don’t believe friendship with others is the same as marriage and that’s why I can’t see the possibility of marriage and sex in the new heaven and earth. There also won’t be mortality so reproduction won’t be neccecary. It will be complete purity.

Marriage means to make one. Weddings does not mean the same thing. Marriage is also an ordinance here on the earth and also in heaven. However, only in the Celestial Kingdom can we marry in order to bring forth baby Spirits. We are made in the Image of God. The Blind cannot teach on this mystery. The Spirit is Eternal because it comes from the Eternal. The body at the resurrect becomes everlasting because the marriage of the Spirit and them temple is a sealing by the power of God. The Body is maintained by the Spirit which is Eternal. Lastly….the Father minister to the Celestial kingdom glory, Jesus minister to the Glory compared to the moon (Paul) and the Holy Ghost minister to those to whose glory is compared to the dimness of the stars. The Celestial kingdom is compared in Glory of sun. The seeds of death are in the blood, so that is why a man cannot withstand the Glory of the Father. Blood is corruption. Hence the restrictions on women who are having their periods…also on men who have bleeding wounds. Those that reach perfection before death overtake them, receive the promises of Eternal like from God and undergo the Change like Elijah. If he is not given a mission, then he is removed from the Earth.
I’m sick and tired of people who are sanctimonious about “no marriage in Heaven”. They sit on their high holy horse and preach to the rest of us! Here are some of my points: 1) There is only one verse in the Bible that even mentions marriage in Heaven; actually 3 verses that reference one encounter: Matthew 22:30, Mark 12:18 and Luke 20:35. Marriage in Heaven is not mentioned in the entire Old Testament or anywhere else in the New Testament. 2) In those verses, the Sadducees are not even asking Jesus a serious question. They ask that question to mock him and and discredit his teaching on resurrection. 3) The “marriage” they refer to is not a free-will marriage; the woman in their story was required by law to marry the brothers, 4) Jesus never said there’s no sex in Heaven. That is deduced from the idea that sex outside of marriage is sin, therefore if marriage isn’t in Heaven then sex isn’t either. However, the rules for sex and marriage could be different in Heaven, 5) Preachers and Bible scholars say that romantic love or “sex” isn’t in Heaven because there is no need for reproduction, but the Bible never says that either. Nowhere does Matthew 22, Mark 12 or Luke 20 say that marriage isn’t in Heaven *because there’s no need for procreation*. That is also deduced from human reasoning. Romantic love — the love between man and woman — is a core part of our being. It’s what almost every song on the radio sings about, what almost all poems are written about, and is the central theme of most movies and books.

Respectfully this is a terrible terrible terrible breakdown of Matthew 22… For the record, THERE WILL BE MARRIAGE IN THE KINGDOM. Christ is simply addressing the law that the Sadducees presented within their question. In the resurrection you will be as the angels of God. What does that mean? The next two verses (Matthew 22:31-32) when Christ rebukes the Sadducees for their lack of understanding explains what it means to be the angel of God. (Mat 22:31 KJV) But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, (Mat 22:32 KJV) I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. To be an angel of God it means that you will not die… you will be an immortal being. That’s why Paul says you will change this mortality to immortality in 1Cor 15:53. THEREFORE, the first husband would never die in the first place so that the next of kin would have to marry nor the Widow would have to be given in marriage. That’s all that Christ is saying, there’s no need for this law to be a concern in the Kingdom because the husband will not die but be as the angel of God because God is the god of the living and not the Dead. Furthermore, it would not make sense to say there would be no marriage in heaven seeing that Adam and Eve were in paradise and were Immortal beings but yet they were married and commanded to be fruitful and multiply. Even Christ and the church is symbolic of a wedding ceremony that’s going to take place in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Saducees were trying to trap Jesus with the question. They were under Levitical law. Marriage was a contract. 50 sheckles given in marriage to father of bride. She had to be married in the family and have a child, which she never had. This is not the same kind of marriage as Adam and Eve which was meant for eternity before sin and the fall. Two very different accounts.
Thank you for sharing this. This is also my understanding until now. Im not 100% sure, but it makes sense as we are supposed to focus on being a huge family and as sex so far in human history has resulted in more sin and evil.. Pure Godly/Agape love between us humans are the best. Then also no one will be left out and sad they could not marry for various reasons. Much better with Agape love which I have felt in my heart for many years we should do also now in this life and stop getting pregnant and put more new people into this fallen evil world full of illnes, accidents etc. Who with a sincere heart would expose their child to this fallen world..? No matter what, the most important is that our only true Jahve God, His son our Savior Jesua and Gods Holy Spirit will erase all illness, pain, evil and even death for good, so that we will live good lives in peace and Gods love. God is in control. He knows what is the best for us as His children. So lets not fight about things like that, but keep peace also between Gods huge Family now all over the world.
