Bride, an American Christian metal band, was formed in the 1980s by brothers Dale and Troy Thompson. The band was known for covering songs from the Snakes in the Playground album, such as “Would You Die For Me” and “Snakes In The Playground.” The lyrics of “Would You Die For Me” are a tribute to Inigo Montoya, who was killed by his father in the 1987 film “The Princess Bride.” The song is a tribute to the band’s father, Mandy Patinkin, and was written by Dale Thompson and Troy Thompson. The lyrics of the song include “When you lay it down for the money or life, will you come to me?”, “When you die for the money or life, will you come to me?”, and “How long will it be?” The song is also featured in the album “No Second Chances” by Whitecross, “The Messiah” by Bloodgood, “I Love You” by Bride, and “Lamb of God” by Bloodgood. The lyrics of “Would You Die For Me” are a testament to the band’s commitment to their fans and their dedication to their music.

Praise God for Bride! Still one of my fave bands of all time after these 26 years, and this is one of their hardest hitters of all time. People at my high school used to mock these guys because they rocked for Christ. So I just played them all the louder unless the Lord told me I was being obnoxious. Bride rocks on the Rock!
