The story was very much enjoyable but with this robotic narrator it lacks the emotion the audience needed to fully embrace the story, The robotic narrator causes the whole scene of the story to become flat and boring, I had to turn on my caption to read along so that my mind didn’t stray away from the story… and next to no asterisks to just make things words.
Rachel struggled to financially support her nephew after the death of her sister. Burdened with heavy credit card debt, she contacted her nephew’s fathers’ family for help in an unconventional way. After a rough meeting with her nephew’s uncle, Giovanni, Gio proposed a compromise that he thinks will benefit the baby and both families. Though, Rachel is at risk of losing a chance at true love and breaking her heart. 4:28:00
The reader reads fairly well, but is somewhat off in his intonation in many places, making pauses as if there were commas where there are none and not pausing where there are. And: “asterix asterix asterix”, that’s really strange. Actually from the context, I believe what is written is a suspention point(…), not 3 asterixes(***), although I haven’t seenn the text. Actually, I agree that there is a robotic quality to the audio.
Rachel was on the stupid side for me. Instead of being honest, she was an immature character. She never would admit her wrongness in bringing the media to him. They both were wrong, and he clearly tried to make her understand his world. She’s just dumb! If she really was thinking about the baby and not just her heart. Woo, she got on my last nerve. 4stars… a must-read still,
the story was perfect and my kind of romance novel but it’s a shame the voice used sounds like a robot – constantly use grimACE when the word is pronounced grimace. The sentences are not finished “he would grow to like that”….. too” – alot of sentences end this way. The beginning was perfect but within a few minutes – not very good. I prefer it read more naturally and not like a machine.
