In Israel, marriage is performed under the religious community’s auspices and inter-faith marriages are not legally recognized. However, marriages performed abroad or remotely from Israel must be registered. The majority of interfaith marriages in Israel are between a Jewish man and a non-Jewish woman, with children conceived through such marriages not considered.
Israel does not recognize interfaith or same-sex weddings or even Jewish weddings that are not orthodox. However, the Israeli Ministry of Interior will register marriages performed abroad. Interfaith couples can usually be legally married in Israel only if one of the partners converts to the religion of the other.
Interfaith marriages are controversial in some areas, especially disapproval of relationships between Hindus and Muslims. Advertisements and films depicting Hindu-Muslim relationships have attracted condemnation and legal action. Hindu-Muslim couples have experienced harassment, including posting personal details on social media.
In 2020, a district court in Lod, an Israeli city, ruled that Israel’s Interior Ministry is required to recognize the marriages of couples who use a virtual wedding service provided by Utah County. However, the majority of interfaith marriages in Israel are between a Jewish man and a non-Jewish woman.
The Israeli government does not recognize interfaith or civil marriages, but according to Section 7 of the Citizenship Law, an Israeli citizen and foreigner cannot marry without a religious affiliation.

I don’t know what is the difference between 21st century and a 2000 years ago time 🤷🏻♂️ The Torah is forever and it doesn’t make a difference. Being in 21st century doesn’t mean you get to live like however you want 🙄 people like these existed then and now… I see no difference…. People who deviate are forgotten, they are never known…. A few years later they are no more or they change for good!
I’m a Russian-Jew(by father) and I was married to a Chinese person. We both live in israel and by law we can’t marry in israel with our friends and nice wedding. non jews need to spend money to get married outside israel. It is supposed to be a democratic secular state but not all it’s citizen’s right are respected. Moreover, it’s pretty big economic loss(for example taxes what paid by israeli citizens in cyprus or another country where they get married)
I am a foreign PhD student in Israel. At this stage of life, many of us want to marry either with Israelis or non Israelis. We can’t do that so we have to go all the way back to our country or somewhere else to get married and then come back. I know we are a minority but we would love to be married in the land of Israel.
The problem with some of the people speaking is they think their ways are superior and they don’t even read the bible and think Jesus or God created marriage….when Jesus died for Israel. I am Proud to be Jewish, but I am sad to see many Jews are living in blind faith. God Bless Israel that they wake up knowing Jesus has power and read your bible.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I didn’t know they aren’t allowed to marry if they aren’t Jewish. Wow. What do they think about gay marriage I wonder. I agree that all marriages are religious and should be performed in a temple/church. Otherwise it is not really a wedding. But you should be allowed to choose which holy place you choose to do it in and they have no right to stop you. (I don’t agree with gay marriage.) Civil marriage is just a piece of paper.
4:24 The Muslim young woman named ‘Sarin’ f/ Akko speaking IVRYIT Hebrew said the word for God ‘אלהים ELOHIM’ is 100% correcto!!! I am impressed! The word for God in Arabic is NOT ‘allah الله’. This is one of the biggest lies. I respect her! And she is Muslim. Muslimim in the Land of Yisrael are exposed to the truth HaEMET .
Hey Corey, I like what you’re doing but I really think you should improve the way you’re informing your audience. Instead, it often creates a place for people to express their hatred. For instance, in this article, you clearly found out from the last person that civil marriage is something people undergo, and that everything but the “single” status acts as much of a marriage and holds for almost all legal reasons, for instance taxes. I know that it’s important to you to be as unbiased as possible, but don’t let that become your bias. Keep it up!
#explain_the_origin_of_islam_religion_and_its_base: QURAN SURAH ALMUMTAHANAH (60:4) There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone” QURAN SURAH ALI ‘IMRAN (3:64) Say (O Muhammad ): “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): that we do not worship except Allah, and we do not share/make partners with Him a thing, and (we) do not take some of us, some (as) lords from other than Allah.” QURAN SURAH AT TAUBAH 9:31) They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded (in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilah (God – Allah) La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).” Quran surah Al A’raf 138(7:138) { And We brought the Children of Israel (with safety) across the sea, and they came upon a people devoted to some of their idols (in worship). They said: “O Musa (Moses)! Make for us an ilahan (a god) as they have aliha (gods).
I’d be down to contribute if you would start including more Ethiopian Jews in your articles, and treat them as what they are…Israelis. As opposed to “othering” their opinions, and relegating their appearances to special episodes only. Someone could get the idea that you have a problem with that community.
Views are low, and you need Cash Corey. Supply and demand . Many of us really enjoyed your article, but most of us did just fine before we saw your content, and life Will Go on after your show ends . At one point or the other, people are gonna be indifferent to the views of random jews and Arabs on Isreali streets. Edit : And you will need to find a new hobby.
Corey, I will give you a pointer about the main problem with your articles. In most of your articles people are giving very dumb opinions, not understanding the question, or the situation or anything. There is only so much you can hear people being stupid. In this article for instance people are talking to the point. If you go to places where people are less stupid to ask your questions, then the results will be more interesting. It’s not very hard to know where the smart people hang out.
