Can Messiahs Body Be His Bride?

The relationship between the body and the bride is a central theme in the Christian faith. In the Lord’s eyes, the church has two positions: as to her life, the church is the Body of Christ, and as to her future, she is the bride of Christ. The close association between Christ and His Church is reflected in the images from the Scriptures which declare that Christ is the Head and the Church is His.

The Church may be called the Body of Christ because members of the Body of Christ are joined to Christ in salvation (Ephesians 4:15-16). The Church is also described as the Bride of Christ by John the Baptist, who describes himself as the friend of the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. The New Testament clearly pictures the Church as the bride of Christ, with each member of his Body being a bride betrothed to Christ the Lord so as to become but one spirit with him.

Christ redeems us (i.e., bride-price) not by money or temporal things, but by his own righteousness and blood. By his love and faithfulness, Christ gave himself to possess us not only. The church is Jesus’s bride, “the wife of the Lamb.”

The relationship between Yeshua and His Body is likened to a marriage relationship in Ephesians chapter 5. The Messiah is the Head and Savior of His people, and all who are “saved” will automatically become the bride of the Messiah. The Bride of Messiah consists of the wise virgins, who are partakers of the divine nature, loyal children of Yahuwah Elohim, the LORD God, and the faithful.

Are we Christ’s bride?

In Christian theology, the bride is the church, with Jesus as the bridegroom. Ephesians 5:22–33 compares the union of husband and wife to that of Christ and the church. It is a favorite image in the church. Churches interpret the metaphors differently. Most believe it always refers to the church.

Christ as a bridegroom. The Gospel of John calls Jesus Christ the bridegroom and mentions the bride. The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom who hears him is happy because of the bridegroom’s voice. This makes me happy.

Why is Jesus called the bride-groom?

Suffering and love. To live a good marriage, spouses must follow Christ, renounce themselves, and take up their crosses. This grace of Christian marriage comes from Christ’s cross. It is the source of all Christian life. The Catechism of the Catholic Church also says that Christ is the bridegroom. This shows that Christ gave himself on the cross and that a husband and wife give themselves to each other. The cross shows us that suffering and love go together. The more you love someone, the more you suffer for them. You can watch Dr. Pitres’s full lecture on YouTube.

Most people believe in two Messiahs who will bring about the Kingdom of God. One is a king, but at his side will be a priest. In my book, The Jesus Dynasty, I explore the idea of two Messiahs. I had no idea it would become so controversial. It made the news, with a cover story in US News and World Report and special segments on ABC’s Good Morning America, 20/20, and Nightline! Today, Jews and Christians believe in a single Messiah, a descendant of King David who will rule over the entire earth. These expectations are based on several Hebrew Prophets texts that predict the reign of a future descendant of David (Isaiah 11, Micah 5, Jeremiah 23:5-6).

This new gospel doesn’t prove that Jesus was married, but it shows that the question only came up in debates about sexuality and marriage. From the start, Christians disagreed about whether it was better not to marry. It was over a century after Jesus’ death before they began appealing to Jesus’ marital status. King says this new gospel also says some early Christians believed Jesus was married. The New York Times says the fragment’s owner asked to remain anonymous because its provenance is unknown. The Times says this ancient debate is still relevant today.

  • Wow, I’m going to have to ask Father to reshape my mind on this. I’ve often said we are his temple and that’s what Peter was appointed by Jesus / Yehushua to be. . .that first stone laid upon The Solid ROCK of Himself ( our Messiah ) . Thanks for bringing this to 🕯️ LIGHT. Please, if you have more scriptures that make this distinction, send them my way! Oh I pray the Father reveals to the bride who Paul really was. I have two dear friends and sisters in Christ whom were shocked when I first brought Paul to their attention, but I showed them a few scriptures, and told them to pray and have Father show them. One started making articles right away! Before even telling me God had brought her to the truth about it. The other one believed within a week, I think. It’s a reality bender but it’s a refreshing one! When Yahovahs Word is PURE, it’s like drinking living waters of Life! I want to soak them all in! Question ❓ Do you think Johns is the only reliable Epistle out of the 4? Thanks again for sharing. I don’t know how, but I found myself u subbed from your website. Ive heard others saying they have had the same issue on YouTube. I had to resub another the other day. Father bless you in His Son’s mighty Name!
