Black Veil Brides, an American rock band, has announced their upcoming album, The Mourning, which is set to be released on October 21st via Sumerian Records. The band, consisting of lead vocalist Andy Biersack, lead guitarist Jake Pitts, rhythm guitarist, and violinist Jinxx, bassist Lonny Eagleton, and drummer Christian “CC” Coma, has shifted the way songs come together over the past 12 years. The band’s first album, We Stitch These Wounds, reached #36 on the Billboards Top 200 album chart in 2010. The band has also tapped into themes of bullying and alienation, striking a chord with a generation of outsider teens.

Only my symphonic metal and nu-metal bands come close to this heavy hard rock sound. I like variety in rock subgenres. It took me a few days to get used to Black Veil Brides’ music. The drums, bass, and two electric guitars made a beautiful, complex sound with Andy’s deep voice. This is the perfect combination. My ears loved it. I was hooked.

“Hard to trust when no one understands” has to be the most angsty emo teen line I’ve heard in a song in years!! Don’t get me wrong I love this song, but I can’t help but giggle knowing loads of teens will find it so relatable and won’t recognise the irony that every other teenage Bvb fan understands because they feel the same lol! Dont be embarrassed kids, a lot of us would have found that line super relatable in our teens too pmsl!

I’ve been listening to BVB off and on since 2009 or 2010 when my crush at the time told me about BVB when only their song Knives and Pens was out. I had a childhood crush on some of the members, but happy they are married and are still making music just as well as they have done in the past. I may listen to pop music 95% of the time, but I’m a alternative rock lover at heart. Great music!
