The wedding planner was completely correct. The bride is supposed to be in her own color, whatever that may be. Imagine the wedding photos. Everyone in black…. The bride wouldn’t be able to stand out!…. This is why I can’t stand working with some Creatives. They’re so flightly and all over the damn place, they don’t care that they don’t make sense. The idea of everyone in all black shoulda never even crossed the bride’s mind. Had it not been for the wedding planner having some good sense, the bride and her desire to be ohhh soooo “unique” 🙄 coulda went terribly, TERRIBLY wrong.
This time the wedding planner is totally right. If the bridesmaids wore black, she wouldnt stand out. it’s like at a wedding, no one but the bride is allowed to wear white. Tbh, that should be the cardinal rule of weddings no matter the color. If the bride wants to wear blue then don’t go to that bride’s wedding in blue.
I was confused when everyone turned on the wedding planner – seemed more like the bridesmaids were pushing the bride towards their vision of doing what THEY wanted even though it was very disrespectful of the bride (imagine everyone saying “oh I LOVE white, I want to wear a white dress TOO!” during a traditional-color wedding) – when the wedding planner was trying to keep everyone on track and remind them that they were in a non-traditional-color wedding and that while normally black would have been fair game, it was not a good idea for this particular situation.
What I hate about these bridesmaid episodes is that the show always tries to manufacture some unnecessary drama. Obviously, the bride should be the only one wearing black. Otherwise, her wedding would look like a straight up funeral. The consultant letting them come out in all black dresses to begin with was disrespectful to the bride and shady.
If everyone was trying to wear white like the bride then y’all would’ve opposed immediately but since the dress is black they’re acting with zero common sense like how is everyone on board with such a dumb idea. Thank god for the wedding planner because everyone wanted to set up this damn bride, it was her idea but that’s why everyone should’ve told her it was DUMB.
I liked the wedding planner immediately. She shut down that bridesmaid who wanted to wear red, and she used the correct technique for the bride to see her vision by sticking to her guns. Also I love that the bride decided to go with best bride maids still of choosing one friend and I love when they all did the body roll lol 😊
Loving this wedding planner. I understand that the bride loves onyx, I absolutely love onyx myself to the point of obsession. But Tyra 100% had the bride’s side and helped keep her vision in her sights and helped her see that it’s Onyx and her SO’s special day, and THEY should be where the spotlight is. All of her “Bestmaids” (love that twist on the word) can still stand out and look their best without taking anything from the bride herself. Wedding Planner knew best this time and helped lead her bride to see what she knew Onyx truly would love the most.
