Is The World of the Married worth watching?
The ratings are so high for a reason. This is a superbly entertaining drama. Every episode is exciting. Many series falter towards the latter third but World of the Married doesnt let up of a minute. But it isnt just dramatic for the sake of being dramatic. It keeps within plausibility. There are a lot of truths about divorce and the stigma divorced women face. The hypocrisy of society is laid bare. How different people deal with infidelity is another issue tackled head on. The most heart breaking aspect is the effect of battling parents on the child.
The cast is well chosen and act very well. Kim Hee Ae maintains sympathy throughout even when she is acting wrongly out of emotion. Not an easy task. But its her costars that really shine. The villains are some of the best in the history of K drama. Park Hae Joon as the philandering husband is superb. His lack of remorse and selfishness are unflinchingly portrayed. Han So Hee plays the vixen mistress everyone loves to hate. She actually acts very well especially when she is getting her just desserts. Her sadness and anxiety are convincing. CLOY fans will be thrilled to see the Rat Kim Yeong Min in a lothario role. Quite delightful. Special mention of the young actor who plays the adorable son caught in the cross fire. Jeon Jin Seo has a major part for such a young actor. And the success of many a dramatic scene rests on his effective but not overdone performance. The double faced friend is unique too.
The soundtrack is like a religious chant and effective if a bit overused.

Marriages fidelity to mundane reality can make for uncomfortable and sometimes meandering viewing, but the perfect union of Sean Bean and Nicola Walkers performances gives this drama a compelling center.
Alec9999 This show, while not for everyone, is absolutely genius. The understated writing, the subtle performances and the last episode revealing Ian and Emma to be real life heroes, beautiful. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/24 Full Review Tracey H I will watch anything that includes Nicola Walker—anything; however, this series drained all of my energy. I cannot get those hours back. The husband was painstakingly miserable to watch—I wanted him to jump off the nearest bridge and put us all out of our misery. Not sure why Rotten Tomatoes critics scored so high. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Bob V This a series only the the critics would love. Stilted dialogue with characters you really dont like. 2 stars is generous as I suppose they are trying to be creative Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Serra K Questions the commitment. A real reflection of marriage relationship institution. Moments of a couple from affection to being irritated. Being have to answer the stupid questions. All small details, facial expressions are going to keep you focused. Actors have played all emotions and all the boring perfectly like they were living in that moment and director and art directors have done their best to show it its best. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/12/23 Full Review Elizabeth R After two episodes, I have no idea what the plot is supposed to be. Most of the time, characters are mumbling, so I dont understand what theyve said. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review Ann H. I was bored or depressed. The parents chat aimlessly, then the young couple do the same. Schizophrenic. The depressed actors should end this bizarre attempt at drama by jumping off a bridge together. I couldn’t watch more than 15 minutes of this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars, 10/16/23 Read all reviews.

What is the world of the married on Netflix?
Netflix’s The Glory is a revenge K-drama, but there are plenty more to enjoy. The 2020 K-drama is a remake of the BBC series Doctor Foster. The World of the Married is a drama about marriage in a high-class society. The Bequeathed is a Korean crime thriller on Netflix. The six-episode show is slow and lacks excitement, but it’s a good weekend binge-watch. You can come up with your own theories and find details to make it more entertaining. If you want more plot twists or criminal activity, some of these shows will satisfy. Of course, there are the classics like Tunnel, Signal, and Voice that are usually on this list. I’m going to avoid those and give you some newer shows. I’ve also added a couple of shows that are frustrating to watch. Anxiety to the max. My Happy Ending is one of those K-dramas that’ll leave you bald. You can only take so much frustration. It’s especially hard when the main character is a woman who seems to have it all—a perfect family, her own company, and a great public image—and then it’s all taken away from her because she’s just existing. Who would do that? The makers of My Happy Ending are almost as invested as they were with The World of the Married. These shows have luxury fashion and expensive homes, which we all love to see. Let’s quickly get into Jae-Won’s story. In episode 2, we learn about Soon-Young’s twin brother. The year is young, and we already have a makjang drama to obsess over. This drama is going to make us angry, like The World of the Married or Sky Castle. My Happy Ending is about a successful female CEO, Jae-Won. She has a great family, a billion-dollar company, and celebrity status. What more could she want? Nothing really, but envy causes problems, and Jae-Won is quickly deceived. How will she survive the betrayal?
