While Sophie wants a traditional day with a touch of romance, Alex has other ideas. In Season 9, the couple meets when working on Ibiza and discovers that planning a wedding isn’t plain.

Meanwhile, Lee and Sophie are directed by Joe Ward and Ruth Jones, and their wedding is set to be a more dramatic affair that showcases Alex’s skills as an old-fashioned hero.

What happened to Don’t Tell the bride?

Dont Tell the Bride is a British reality show. The series is about couples getting money to pay for their wedding. The groom has to plan the wedding without the bride’s help. On September 29, 2023, it was announced that the series would not return.

Broadcast history The series first aired on BBC Three on November 8, 2007. In February 2012, the show was nominated for a Rose d’Or award. Due to BBC Three’s shutdown, the 9th series was moved to BBC One. With the shutdown of BBC Three and falling viewership, the BBC dropped Dont Tell the Bride. The series was picked up for its 2016 series by Sky 1. In 2017, it moved to E4, where it broadcast a new 18-episode series later that year. Reruns of the show are currently broadcast on E4 Extra.

Do they get paid on don’t tell the bride?

Formatted. The show’s format is a couple given £12,000 to spend on their wedding. However, they must spend three weeks apart with no contact. The groom must organize everything, including the wedding dress, wedding cake, and the hen and stag parties. He must also surprise the bride. Although the series mostly features heterosexual couples, one episode in October 2010 featured a gay couple and another in November 2011 featured a lesbian couple, both preparing for their civil partnership. This broke the show’s rules. The bride wasn’t supposed to know anything until the wedding day. The wedding day must be planned by the groom and the best man. The bridesmaids and the bride’s parents can speak to the groom, but the bride can only speak to the best man.

Did the couple married for 13 years find out they are siblings?

A couple shocked the online community when they announced they are brother and sister after 10 years of marriage. In a short TikTok, the husband said they found out they were siblings after 13 years together. In the TikTok, the husband says he and his wife got married in 2011 and had their first child together. They had their second child in 2015. They soon found out they were brother and sister. We don’t know if they’re half-siblings or if there was an adoption. Isn’t marrying your sibling illegal? Yes, it is. The North Carolina Judicial Branch says that the couple can’t be more closely related than first cousins.

Incest is a crime. NC Code 14-178 states: A person commits the offense of incest if they have sexual intercourse with a grandparent, grandchild, parent, child, stepchild, or legally adopted child. They also commit incest if they have sexual intercourse with a brother, sister, uncle, aunt, nephew, or niece.

Do they end up together in the wedding planner?

The Wedding Planner has some cinematic ideas. The previews show what happens at the end. This romantic comedy isn’t predictable. The characters are likeable and you get involved with them. The actors are charming. Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey are great together. The scenes are handled sweetly without being too sentimental. The opening scene is funny. In the first scene, we see how Mary (Lopez) plans her weddings. She makes them look like secret service operations. She straps wires to the bride and groom and gives them suggestions as they walk down the aisle. She also makes sure all the guests are in order. There are moments of sitcom stupidity. Steve gets his hand stuck to a statue’s privates. The comedy was bad timing and the scene was lame. Rodney Dangerfield used a similar joke in Meet Wally Sparks, but it was done in a more structured way and was funny. Alex Rocco was a little hammy as Mary’s Sicilian father. His accent is inconsistent, and in some scenes he struggles so much with it that he talks like someone with Down syndrome. Fred Willard has a funny scene as a ballroom dance teacher. The plot is forced and created to move the film along, so we can quickly arrive at the climax. One subplot is about Mary’s dad trying to set her up with a Sicilian guy with a thick accent. He wants her to marry him, but she says no. They don’t seem to have a close relationship. Later, he proposes and she agrees to marry him. The ending is over the top and I can’t discuss it, but you’ve probably seen this ending before. The writers did a good job of making Fran (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras) a nice girl. The guy is engaged to one girl, but falls for another. The girl he’s engaged to is usually unlikable, so you wonder why he wanted to marry her. I’m glad they didn’t take that easy way out. Even Fran is charming. The movie is worth seeing because of the charming characters and actors. It’s a romantic comedy, but it’s a good one because the characters are likable. This isn’t a great film. It has dull and silly moments, but it’s often fun and pleasant. You’ll love The Wedding Planner. 19 people found this helpful. Was this review helpful? Sign in to vote. This movie gets about a negative 20. I don’t understand why Jennifer Lopez acts. She’s bad at it. The characters are flat, the story is predictable, and the dialogue is trite.

  • We had such a fun time doing DTTB & believe it or not guys…We are STILL happily married. 3 years this month actually, and no, Alex has not left me for a man yet 🙂 haha. Alex & I are hoping to be blessed with another baby too. Life is just too short to be sooo serious, so enjoy the good and be happy. Thanks for perusal and for the comments 😁xx

  • I found this DTTB page a few days ago….HANDS DOWN THIS WAS THE BEST ONE EVER!! I cried, I laughed, cried some more, laughed some more…..cried again! Alex you did great. Sophie you were a beautiful bride and a good sport! Congratulations! I see it’s been three years, I hope you have many more together! From MISSISSIPPI (USA)

  • If my fella planned this for my wedding/handfasting, I’d love him forever! So much fun and entertainment. Traditional weddings are ok, but I would love something where everyone could get involved in. And loving a bit of action like zombies is such a great idea! Or even something based on medieval horror with deadites (evil dead) thrown in with sword fights and archery. Yes, please! Imagine having a wedding cake with bloody jam pouring out of it when you cut into it and the first dance having to defend off creatures trying ruining it. Even maybe a sword fight for good measure. Amazing! And if my dress got a little bloody, Halloween/Samhain outfit sorted!!!

  • What’s with all the hate comments? Personally, I think this was a good wedding. The casual and “normal” stereotypical wedding is generally sleep worthy and boring. However, imagine the amount of fun it must have been. Humans have an issue when it comes to talking about taboo subjects, it entertains and interests them. Having something so unnatural and unique happen will definitely make you remember the day. Why should they copy what basically everyone else does at a wedding? It’s unique and special, almost made for just them two and not many other couples will do this. Every day “normal” wedding is nothing special, something like this seems amazing and people just make a big fuss out of nothing. As you can see in the article, the woman seemed pretty upset when she arrived, but as soon as she actually tried attempting to get used to the event, you can see she really is enjoying herself. I read a comment with someone saying they would refuse to marry someone if they did this to them, my question is, would you really love them then? After so much money has been spent, so much effort, all that time where the two of you have loved each other, would you just throw it away like that? If so, then what is love? The passion between these two inspires me and their son is obviously very lucky to have parents that love each other so much, I hope them the best years to come.

  • to all the people who say that he was being selfish and childish, and that he just wanted to do what he wants… how is it any diffirent from when women organise the weddings and make it all about them, “my wedding, my day etc.” at least now we get to see some unusual and funny ideas, something other than a banal vintage, cinderella wedding

  • It’s incredibly selfish and immature to pull this crap on your wedding day! It was all about him… “I want to be the hero”, “I get to swoop in and save her”, “I think this is amazing, plus I get to carry these guns and save the day”…. Really? All I hear are I’s, I’s, I’s! What about your bride, the mother of your child and really making it about her too! He acted like a dumbass laughing and playing with his toy gun! Only redeeming factor… The marriage vows! Yep, that’s it!

  • All of you talking shit about it. Firstly it’s an edited show, theres a lot cut out. Secondly, the point of the show is the man plans it how he wants it. That is the entire plot. Thirdly, they are happily married 4 years later with another child and alex goes above and beyond for his family. He one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. Shows how fickle you are to slag someone off you’ve never bet based on a TV show that has been edited to manipulate perspective

  • I think he’s fit/buff/abit gay but not fully not yet gay.. but it’s me so I would think that haha people getting worked up over me wedding that had to be extreme within such short notice. I love my wife and I was always going to do something wacky even if we had years to plan… plus loads cut out so yall no ball all effort that went in and wasn’t shown. end of the day WE loved it she got to laugh at me when we flew on the helicopter together.. oh wait wasn’t shown but ok keep hating 😂

  • If anyone watches the show Lucifer on FOX (United States), a season 2 episode featured a zombie wedding that was – believe it or not – tasteful. They decorated a grave yard in fairy lights, and the makeup fit the theme – but managed to look really pretty as opposed to horrifying. Despite it being a scripted tv show, it restored my faith in the idea that non-traditional themes can be done well … but, this crap shoot couldn’t have been done worse. It came off as really cheesy and tasteless – a zombie theme is fine, but childish games – “I’m gonna shot them all and ‘save’ her!” have more of a place at birthday parties, not weddings.

  • I hate zombie films etc but actually thought this was sick as fook lol i loved it he exacuted it brilliantly the only thing is were they actually legally married ? has their friend did the service is he audaned or did they have to go to a local registry office n get it legalised in front of a registrar

  • A legend in his own mind … just his own under developed mind. Could not finish perusal. Such ludicrous premise utterly lacking in symbolism of this occasion, lack of respect for her family. Also, are their (I assume regional accents), especially hers, considered ‘common’? They sound it. She sounds like what, in the US we call a ‘hick’.

  • the comments are funnier than the wedding, if she didnt enjoy the wedding i dont think she would have been able to fake how happy she looked and she loves him somuch u can tell, no its not everyones cup of tea but at the end of the day they are married now and im sure they dont give a damn what anyone thinks about THERE wedding and why should they people get so involved with there opinions but why does it really matter zombies yes at a wedding yes get over it, it looked liked they all had a great time where was the harm really

  • don’t even need to watch the entire episode! basically tells you what happens in the first 2 minutes! also every girl that goes on this already KNOWS that the man is going to do things his way, who wouldn’t?! if you ask me i would love a day thats entertaining as suppose to a ‘fairytale’ one. all the girls that go on this want a ‘fairytale’ wedding, think its ridiculous, love if you want to do that then just plan your own! all they do is use this programme for the money and the popularity, pathetic really.

  • What I find sad is that 1: you come on this show just deal with it stop acting like a victim and 2: you are marrying the person you love so what if it was a zombie themed. I love the idea tho being the man that saves the life of the woman he loves….. Fact is if you can’t see past it all then you clearly don’t love them as much as you claim.

  • What a weird dialect-I can hardly understand a word she says… And this groom for sure needs to rethink what a bride wants on her wedding day-but he is just a big spoilt kid wanting everything his way. He would need to live on his own and do his own household chores and after that realise what he should do to repay his girlfriend with a beautiful wedding instead of going with an awful selfish idea!

  • marriage is not a joke….it is not getting married with a stupid theme….grow up…hey girl this guy is not going to be there when you are and grey and need help when you are sick, when times get really tough as it will in every ones life, remember for richer or poorer in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad…this is what you are vowing to do….not have a zombie joke wedding
