Even though her family is far away, she still has trouble moving on. She has trouble sleeping and still has nightmares about the abuse she suffered. This affects her daily life. As others have said, I’m glad the author didn’t make her trauma go away just because her family did. She needs to work through her self-doubt and hatred. She also needs to find her own worth outside of Kudo.
