How much do wedding planners get?

Your budget determines the planner’s fee. It’s not because they think you can afford more, but because it’ll take more work. A wedding planner often asks for 10% to 15% of your budget. Location affects the cost. A wedding planner in London will cost more than one outside the capital. If you’re getting married in London, consider a local wedding planner. They’ll have local knowledge and contacts. A partial planning service is more affordable than a full service. The more guests you invite, the more work a planner will need to do. Many planners also offer a package that includes coordinating your wedding day. After all, who better to manage the big day than the one who helped plan it? On-the-day coordination helps to reduce stress, make sure everyone knows what they’re doing, and fix any problems. Enjoy your day knowing it’s being managed by an experienced professional.

What celebrity weddings has David Tutera done?

One of his clients is spending almost $4 million on their wedding. Planning a wedding is chaotic enough. Being a celebrity adds to the stress. The most recent celebrity couple to have their wedding drama revealed was billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham. The actress, 28, and the son of former Spice Girl Victoria and football legend David Beckham, 23, married last April.

Who was Paris Hilton’s wedding planner?

The wedding ceremony. The ceremony and reception were held at a Bel-Air estate owned by Paris’s late grandfather, Barron Hilton. On her wedding day, the bride got to the venue early. “I arrived in the morning to make sure everything was going well,” Paris wrote on her website. After getting ready with her bridesmaids, Paris and Carter had their first look, which made them both cry before the ceremony. “It was a Cinderella moment and I knew I found my true love,” she said. “I had a makeup touch-up after because I didn’t want to walk down the aisle with mascara running down my face.”

How do most photographers charge?

Beginners charge $50-$150 per hour or a few hundred dollars per session. Experienced professionals charge $200-$500 per hour or more. Wedding and commercial photography often cost more. Pricing is important for photographers. It’s a risk because you could ask too much and lose clients or ask too little and not earn anything. Many beginners don’t know how to set prices. I started out charging very little, but I was making almost nothing. I asked about the price list and found other photographers charge 2-3 times more per hour. This photography pricing guide is for those who want to set the right rates for their services. Of course, photographers charge different rates, but I’ve tried to be as objective as possible to give you the right information. I hope this guide helps you!

  • My high school sweetheart and I got married in my Great Grandmother’s home by the Pastor who had also married my parents, my brother and his wife and my sister and her husband. My wedding cost a whopping $35.00. Yes, 35 dollars. We’ve been married going on 45-1/2 years now. It isn’t about the show, it’s about the commitment. I don’t regret our cheap wedding at all. We’ve had a wonderful marriage and 3 beautiful and wonderful daughters. I feel so blessed!

  • I come from a wealthy family. For context, my sister’s THIRD wedding ceremony cost over £800,000. Don’t ask what the first one cost!!! Divorced 3x and is prepping for her fourth from what I’ve heard. I wanted none of it and married my husband in a civil ceremony for £40. My da and his mum were there and it was perfect. 15 years later we renewed our vows in a church with 10 close family members and our daughters as our wedding party. 27+ years on, I still think our wedding day was perfect. Our marriage is spectacular and no amount of money can make that happen. Others can do whatever they want with their money, it’s none of my business if they have huge weddings. It’s rather lovely going to many of them because the food is always phenomenal and it’s a fun date night/weekend.

  • In 1976 I married my HS sweetheart. My engagement ring cost $600.-, which at the time was enough for a house down payment. My wedding dress cost $500.-, and the rest of the wedding for 200 guests was $2,500. We were married by the same pastor that married my in-laws. We are still married, and in love. 💞💫

  • My niece got married in 1997 and we did everything ourselves from the flowers to the food. I think the total expense was about $2000 including her dress which was $500. We bought food and prepared a lavish buffet with the help of a few friends and everyone said it was the nicest wedding they had ever been to. Sadly they divorced after a few years.

  • Wow. Some serious showboating going on here. My daughters have elected to be married with only their closest friends and family in attendance ~ sometimes, in my living room. My youngest, who will soon celebrate her 20th wedding anniversary, got married in a community garden, standing among rows of cucumbers and tomatoes. Her dress was something we bought at a thrift store for three dollars and I took it apart and made in into a more contemporary gown. Family members shopped at the farmer’s market for fresh produce and flowers on the morning of the wedding and we spent the early part of the day cooking and decorating. For about $150, we got a gown, flowers, food and drink, and a photographer friend covered the event as a wedding gift to the couple. One of the bride’s sisters made the cake

  • My sister had the best wedding I’ve ever been to. We put the whole thing together in just over 2 weeks. Found her a used dress that was a perfect fit and I blinged it up more. Found evening dresses for myself and teen daughter and easily made one more to match. She booked a hotel in a beach town – off season. A friend made the cake The hotel had a ballroom, did the catering package and found an officiant. Groom’s son was a DJ The guests all took pics and sent them to the couple. 1994 and we did it all for less than $1500

  • My wedding cost 18 for the license. Our son married us in our local park with friends and family. Then we had a BBQ. IT was a blast. We surprised everyone at our bbq. We’ve been together 22 years and going strong. It doesn’t matter where you get married or what you are wearing AS LONG AS YOU MARRY YOUR BEST FRIEND.

  • My parents have been married 53 years. Family made all the food. Baker sister made the 5 tier wedding cake, dress was borrowed, Sunday suit worn, florist parents made all.the flowers, minister & church was $50, hall was $100 loving family priceless p.S. mom waited 10 years for her diamond ring, they both wore simple gold bands for 10 years.

  • I personally don’t have the money but a lot of these people do, especially the royals. They should not be bashed for wanting a beautiful day to enjoy. If you want a small wedding that’s amazing and sweet if you want a big wedding that’s cool and wonderful. It’s not about how little or how much, it’s about the love celebrated in that day. I am very happy for these people and believe they should not be looked down upon just because they were able to have luxury same should go for if you had a small and minimal wedding. All weddings are special and it’s up to the couple how they want to celebrate and spend the rest of their lives. Remember y’all be kind, respectful, and be yourself. ❤

  • Not married yet, but my parents wedding was grand as I was told from their stories and pictures. My mom’s dress alone cost 2000 dollars. The cake was around 300 and the flowers totaled to 1300. Overall, the whole wedding cost about 6000 to 7000 dollars but my grandparents and some other relatives helped my parents out with the cost of their wedding.

  • Mine was not an expensive one…. I had my wedding dress (gown) stitched by my brother’s wife relative….It was a good one… that was expensive about 37years back….I still have my wedding dress, l was slim and pretty like Princess Diana, but now I have put on weight. We are doing well by the Grace of Jesus 🙏❤️

  • The most expensive part of my wedding was our 3 ring set. My grandmother in law paid 110 dollars for our cake. My in laws bought his suit 115. My dress well it was just a normal holiday dress sold at Sears. I think it was 80 dollars max. We didn’t pay for the church, or music, or flowers. Those were all gifts. We were members of the church, so it was free. The music and flowers were gifts from my father in laws cousins Joel and Janet. Janet was a florist. She adored my husband and wanted to help us out, as Joel had offered to take care of the music to my husband when he wad a kid.

  • I bought my wedding dress and my husband and I took ourselves to Europe. Got married on a cliff top rotunda in the beautiful hotel 🏨 we stayed at in Monoco, overlooking the Mediterranean continued with a honeymoon. We couldn’t afford hundreds of thousands of dollars, we had the best time ever and NO STRESS. Both our parents were deceased, so it was perfect for us. ❤❤❤

  • I promised myself, if I didn’t marry by 50, I wasn’t going to. So my fantasy wedding would be renting out Niagara Falls..lol..Canadian side. I’m terrified of heights, so the CN Tower rented for my honeymoon night would be appropriate for extra thrills! What I’d really love to see a article of, would be the CHEAPEST celebrity weddings. I heard some of them consisted of take out, and buffet themed dishes! Great article btw!!😊

  • My first wedding cost about $100 and it lasted 22 years. We got married at my parents house. We bought really nice wedding rings. That was the biggest expense we had! My 2nd husband and I spent $1500. My dress was very simple and inexpensive, husband wore a suit he bought on sale. I had a few flowers. We had a buffet dinner and it was all held at a local jazz club. Awesome and we have been married 21 years at the end of the month.

  • My parent’s spent approximately 25 to 35 thousand. It actually wasn’t even me that racked up the bills. I kept on saying waste of money for decorative flowers and I didn’t even want a cake. It was my mom that kept insisting not to mention in law’s wanted everything but expected my parent’s to pay. I finally turned around and told my mom that it’s enough. I wanted a forever marriage. 26 years later, two wonderful children, a bunch of fur babies, and still going strong. Hopefully, I will be a grandma one day. Ill have to wait and see.

  • The purpose of having a wedding is lost in most of these extravagant venues. Separating the actual ceremony from the “party” and keeping it small and simple would preserve the respect in exchanging wedding vows. If these people with unlimited money want to have a huge party/reception, more power to them.

  • I Married in Feb 1990 Nearly 34 years ago With no Budget or estimation infront of One pastor,Two Deacons along with my Parents, five sisters,my inlaws,no wedding Dress,no Decorations,no wine no liquor,no cake,no flowers,no Posies,no suits no ties,Simple food ie pork, chicken and vegetables. The vow was so sacred and Solemn. We are blessed with two Daughters and One Son all grown up not yet married,Myself and hubby retired from Govt. Job,my hubby at present is A deaconnin the church,My chilren are God Fearing human being.our home is full of love, laughter, respect understanding, unity etc.and We are a happy and A close knit family which our neighbour envies.Thank You God. For our lives full of happiness and Love which lacks in a famous snd expepensive wedding.😊

  • We spent a couple thousand dollars and only had to pay $300 of the nearly $1000 for dress and veil (thanks mom!). Had about 300 guests (we both have big families) and the food and venue and music were great and classy. We stayed untill half hour before the wrap up at midnight because we were having such a blast (without any alcohol served at that 😂). I think it turned out so nice because we prepared more for our marriage and less for our wedding day. It wasn’t about immpressing anyone… it was about celebrating and making our guests comfortable. Its been 8 1/2 awesome years without fights and with a deep relationship, despite the 7 little ones underfoot 😂😂

  • My husband and I spent $300 on owners. That’s how much the paperwork cost and for the judge who married us in our apartment. We only had my dad stepmom and one brother there. After we took pics at this park with our phones had a regular cake and some spirits to drink. Stepmom made dinner. 11 years later w still together with a five year old daughter.

  • When my husband and I got married. We had work at Walmart. Back then the workers were family. From the managers to the coworkers donated flowers silk. Picture, we found a cake maker that gave us a great deal. Then half the people were in the wedding. The other half were family. Our honeymoon was a gift from my sister. The hotel room we went to before we left out on the honeymoon was also a gift. My sister went in and put flower petals on the bed sparkling water. Champagne glasses and fruit. In the room. Knowing we did not drink she thought of everything. We did not spend much we were blessed on the goodness of others. Who loved that we had fallen in love.❤❤

  • I got married in 1988 and my husband, her son and I decorated my hall which we rented. The flowers came from a wholesale florist. I rented only china ware for the immediate family and bridal party. Everyone else got top-of-the-line disposable plates and glasses. I had a full bar. Everyone in the immediate family bought 1-2 bottles of liquor and we bought 3 kegs of beer. I got married on Easter and the entire church was fully decorated with flowers. My photographer and article Grapher was a friend of the family and this was a gift from him. All we had to do was to buy an empty wedding album. My wedding dress was my Aunt’s. It was silk, lace, and satin. I took it to a dress maker who my family knew. It took her 4 months to alternate to my size. I only bought the headset for my veil.

  • My friend’s grandparents spent $800,00 on their wedding and will be celebrating their 30th anniversary next month. Having a luxurious wedding doesn’t ensure failure and having a small/ court house wedding doesn’t ensure longevity either. There are literally so many people out there that have cheap weddings and still divorce anyway. What ensures the couple’s ability to stay married is not the cost of the wedding, but it’s how they operate in the actual marriage and most of all the individual preparation and self growth each person did before getting married. So for those of y’all thinking you are holier than thou for having a $2 wedding chill out. 😂

  • I love the idea of paying for your guests to go somewhere exotic & stay in a ritzy place for a weekend. We’d hang out & have a ball eating, dressing up (or down, as anyone pleased), partying. We’ve never needed money to have a good time, but it would be cool to treat my friends & family & spend a special time with them. Oh, yeah, um, and the groom too, would be good if he was there, I guess!

  • Unpopular opinion but,in their circles it’s extremely common to drop obscene amounts of money on events, especially weddings and everyone outdoes each other, sad though because, the marriage is the most important aspect not a huge party, you can have a really nice wedding without going insane on the budget

  • I had a horrible wedding dress and when we had our 25th wedding anniversary party, I had my daughter photo shop mine and my husbands head on Charles and Diana’s wedding photos. I put them in frames and no one said a word. I finally told everyone. It was hilarious! Diana did have the best wedding dress. She looked like a Disney Princess.

  • I know most people would say this is waste of money but i don’t think so if you have the money and you and your partner are in love you should spend money on your wedding i mean you only get married once and if you don’t make that a memorable one when you eventually get old and die people that don’t know when you’re working would spend your money however they want people needs to understand There are some things in life you shouldn’t be stingy with and wedding is one of those things I’ll so much make mine a memorable one i pray i have the money to do that😊 and of course my marriage will work out ( marriage working out don’t depend on how much you spend on your wedding people should realize that too)

  • Wow !! Back in 96 I spent $1,200 $60 for the dress (I did not wear white dress on my wedding day, I was already with my ex for 15 years before we got married and had two sons who walk me down the aisle which we both loved that )😊 we did a cook out married in our back yard and had the most delicious Italian snd spanish food ! 😊 We stayed together for 25 years It was a shame we divorce but you know its all good.. We both got two beautiful and nice young men … ❤❤❤

  • Wanna know about a very expensive wedding.. 😳 Would be 5th most expensive in this article It costed *31 million* dollars USD and in Yuan ( Chinese Currency ) 200 million yuan. Guess who? Angela Baby’s wedding with Huang Xiaoming in 2015. Her ring which Huang gifted Angela costed 1.6 million dollars ( USD ) . It was basically like a royal wedding. Angela’s and Huang Xiaoming’s wedding is currently the most expensive Chinese wedding ever. The married couple had a son named Xiaohaimian which translates to little sponge in Chinese. Sadly in *2022* Huang and Angela Baby had a *divorce* which shocked many as they already had a son, and their wedding costed 31 MILLION USD

  • I would just like to be able to buy a small house. If I had millions would buy a slightly larger house. My wedding was in the clerk’s office at city hall. I wore a dress I already had. My ex-husband wore something. (Not worth remembering.) We went for lunch at a nice restaurant. Here’s a bit of trivia: When you don’t have an actual wedding you get no gifts.

  • Our wedding I beleive we spend around 300 for everything, we went to Vegas for the weekend, only my cousin was there for me, we gamble, ate and came home. Going on 32 years. (i was expecting my daughter, 3 month pregnant ) so drinking for me. lol. What I can do with that money, I know it’s their money and they whatever they want. I just saying,, even if I had that money I would use it in another way. I rather have a taco truck and some good friends over the enjoy our day, I would buy all the drinks.

  • I find it funny that people are assuming that just because a couple spends a lot of money on a wedding that the couple put more emphasis on the wedding than the marriage. You can spend millions on a wedding and still focus on your marriage. Just like a couple can spend $100 on a wedding and put no emphasis on the marriage. The judgment in these comments is something else.

  • is not important how many money you spend for your wedding!!! most important is how many years you are together happy, not the money alone makes you hapyy…. when we leave this world we go without any expensive things!!!!! and btw in our times we have a lot of other problems other guys died on the street because they hungry is this 20s??????

  • Personally, I am gob-smacked by the egos & obscene amount of money spent on these ridiculous weddings. Moreso when half of the marriages only lasted for a few years or so. You’d also think that by the 1980s the British Monarchy would have been less tone deaf when it came to spending a million dollars on a wedding that only lasted a decade or so when so many British citizens were living in poverty. Greed really has no limits with the rich.

  • Note Mukesh Ambani has 3 kids… Their marriages are most expensive marriages in the world You have mentioned isha ambanis marriage in this article but you forgot to mention akash ambani’s marriage!!!😅 2018- isha ambani’s marriage 2019- akash ambani’s marriage 2024- coming july (Anand ambani’s marriage ) Please check the expenses 😅😅 So 1.Ambani Family 2. Ambani Family 3. Ambani Family Etc…. 😅😅😅😅

  • It gets to be clownish like a show and not a wedding. Romantic and sweet . Now with all this money and the circus and all the money thrown at the wedding maybe only a few of these weddings did these people stay together . People I know had BBQs and married over 25 yrs . It’s not about all the things and who can out do who ! Silly all this money when people can’t feed their families .

  • Obscene. I think the rich should have something special, but these are over the top and the marriages mostly failed. Once they had the budget, why not split in half? One half for indulgence and the other half of these obscene spectacles could house homeless, feed the poor and finance a no kill animal shelter for years. I feel the same about smaller weddings. $10,000 or 100,000,000. Think of something besides personal entitlement.

  • Our wedding ceremony and reception cost £13,000 and it was wonderful with approximately 300 guests (lots of family and church family). 15 years and 2 awesome children later and our marriage is still going strong. We’ve had many ups and even more downs but we’ve worked through it all and stayed faithful and committed to each other. It’s definitely more about the marriage but having a big wedding is ok too. 😁💖

  • Good grief. Who has researched this?! Charles and Diana’s wedding was half of what is quoted here! There is now way it was the most expensive wedding ever. Harry and Meghan’s, heaven help us, was £33 million (can we have a refund please) and Catherine and Williams was about £34 million. I bet that had Meghan pouting. A million less on her and that’s not accounting for inflation! 😂
