This sewing tutorial demonstrates how to make an off-shoulder dress with long sleeves. The tutorial begins by cutting two strips of elastic, measuring around 30cm (12inches) in length, and sewing them to the dress. The raw edges are stitched using an overlocker or zigzag stitch to prevent fraying and ensure a cleaner finish. The ruffle tube is then laid around the dress, matching the center marks. The elastic is created along the top edge of the dress, with a tunnel for the elastic along the top edge. The shirt is then pinned in the front and through each sleeve where the top hem should be. The elastic is fastened to the inside elastic or seam of the shirt, right at the front of the armpit. The dress is then folded inside along the marked fold line and stitched forming a casing for the elastic.
The tutorial also covers the process of making a ruffle off-the-shoulder dress with ruffle sleeves. The fabric of the choice, elastic, scissors, pins, measuring tape, and a sewing machine are needed. The pattern drafting tutorial for the off-shoulder/bardot dress with ruffle sleeves is also provided. The tutorial concludes by showing how to sew a breezy off-the-shoulder ruffle dress.

I’m guessing those corrections for snugger fit are something that is likely to happen if you have a larger bust size (larger cup size) – there simply is bigger difference between your bust and your underbust/overbust. It won’t show so obviously in a top with looser fit, but something that has to fit snugly will definitely need those adjustments.
Help! First of all, idk how you were able to pin it on yourself. I sewed all my seams and could hardly get the dang thing over my head (I have broad shoulders and a little waist). Second, my muslin had a bunch of loose fabric kind of between the side seams and nipple seams. What needs to change to correct that? Angle of neckline, I’m guessing? (Moving the straps up and down did have an effect on this.)
