📹 How To Overcome Loneliness? | Sadhguru
A student at SRCC asks Sadhguru how to deal with loneliness and the feeling of not belonging, not being accepted and not being …
I’m 20 years old.. I’m so confused for my future and have so many responsibilities.. I mess up everything I do.. There is so much negativity in me and my life.. I was a bright student once.. But now I don’t like to study at all.. Whenever I try to concentrate or study I start feel lazy or depressed… I just don’t know what to do.. I just think of my future whole tym.. I want to work hard but I’m helpless.. I don’t have anyone in my life to share this.. I feel so lonely.
Hey, I’m glad I come across this. I rather be by myself than be around the wrong people. I ran with several friend groups over the years, and we wasn’t close. But I noticed they were close with each other. We had different goals, mindsets and energy. We were on different paths and wavelengths. As the only child, solitude is bliss and peaceful. If you are reading this and feel lonely, it will get better. Your people on your wavelength is out there.
Agree 100% !!!! although I was always without any partner, (at this stage of my life) I consider myself very lucky and YES I do really love my life and myself and I do not need anyone to bring me joy because I can go on every day alone very well without any feeling of sadness …but instead I feel blessed with nice family and very good friends
I don’t understand when people say I’m lonely your never alone u got god….parks full of people….coffee shops full of people….etc don’t feel pressured to have a wife or have a girlfriend when you just got out of a relationship…focus on yourself and healing. Good luck and I wish you all a happy life !

May we all find peace and love that we desire to break free from. This aching loneliness in our hearts. I love you all. May. Peace be upon you always. You make a difference and you matter. I’m lost rn trying to find myself but something tells me to try and not let it all end here. May we all find the peace and love we yearn for through ourselves and others. ❤️ 🌙 🙏
“Just because you are alone…does not mean you have to feel lonely” -said by myself well over a decade ago. I like these articles because of the way the guru breaks down an idea for people to understand. More and more people are going to be “lonely” in the conventional notion as this decade and years afterwards continue on. More and more countless people will be unmarried, not in a relationship, without children, etc etc…But eventually people in those situations are going to have to try and take solace in what good does exist in their lives already, and what they can still accomplish. Do not seek value from others or purpose from others. It comes from within, and if you do things to help others because of being strong and at peace on your own, people will benefit from your interaction and aid and flock to you more often than not. Though thats not the ultimate purpose for being at peace with ones self and helping others, it doesnt hurt lol. Pe@ce
A question to the admired and respected Sadhguru\r I am confused; because all the scientific studies done so far, say that loneliness kills. And every new study reconfirms it.\r And that is part of the decay of old people; that they get lonely.\r But Sadhguru maintains, that it is very beneficial, to be alone.!!!\r I would love for Sadhguru to explain this incongruence of concepts… among people of science… Thanks a lot…
Someone the other day told me, “you don’t know what could happen at any moment…. What could happen in 2 days” Do they not think I’ve thought the same things, countless times?? I’m turning 44 this summer. Do you know how many “what could happen in 2 days” I’ve talked myself into, to give hope .. To hope…. Because that’s what they tell you. The scriptures, people, posters, songs. At the end of the day, it’s sickening how desolate I feel. It’s almost despairing. Nothing soothes anymore. There’s only deeper depths of hurt and anger. I just want to be done here.
The fact is I absolutely enjoyed my own space. Loneliness struck when my parents and relatives “she stays at home and does her own thing. Does not enjoy outing very much. ” Relatives spoke about “why you stay at home etc”.. these comments ruined the time I enjoyed with myself. I felt doing my own thing is so unnatural, not liking gatherings and outing is something normal people wont like.
Being alone does take strength. Even tho I been alone most of my life it does get stressful after a certain point. It gets tense and I feel the anxiety building up. When I’m with someone I can just go off and talk a lot but when I’m alone I can deal with it the first 30 minutes but after that the anxiety and stress builds up.
If one thinks about loneliness in a positive way they can use it as a weapon, one that thinks of it as a negative thing becomes weaker. At the being of university I often thought that having friends would make me overcome my loneliness tbh, it did the exact opposite, realizing that my friends were not so close to me made me feel more lonely and distant. Now I don’t think much about friendship and learnt about being my own company, I feel more comfort this way, now I only talk to my classmates, I feel free, I can do whatever I want without being forced to go out with my friends and having to maintain our friendship with the string of just talking and fitting in with them. Basically immobilized my true self. Also solved my overthinking and people pleasing behavior, I couldn’t have been happier. You don’t need friends, you want friends, people that can relate to you, but you can relate to yourself more than anyone could.
Regarding the 6m50s mark, I wonder what Sadhguru thinks of spirit possessions. For example, according to Savio Furtado, when we are distressed, or have gaps in our aura, then we can become targets of spirit attachments. Just being in “haunted” areas, you can pick up hitchhikers. There’s also lots of evidence of physical mediums, that go into a trance, and the spirit communicates through that person. Some very strange cases like Katie the Gold Leaf Lady, who was an illiterate medium, yet, would write in medieval french when in trance.
Loneliness is just a feeling. But every single moment in our life we have to enjoy it that might be bad situation or good situation both we have to enjoy bcoz same situations will not come again and again. And every single second I feel Loneliness even I have so many ppl around me. When we born, we born alone and our soul inside it is alone and when we die we die alone. So Loneliness is just a feeling. Every person has power to destroy this Loneliness in our mind and succeed in life. Forgot it.
Yeah because if you live with someone that you are attached to no matter if it’s friend or family, you’ll lose all or some of your freedom. But it might be hard to be alone, or live alone, although you’ll not have another person there to answer to and you can come and go as you please. I live with someone, not a romantic interest, and I can’t come and go as I please.
For those who agree with what he said and yet are lonely here is the explanation of what he was actually meaning to convey it will help for sure 😊he should have accepted the fact that our truest nature is that of oneness and when we are born we feel the temporary separation from the source and soul families as loneliness .☺ once we accept that this desire for connecting with people is valid and is actually a reflection of our true nature we can build a more connected society and relations with beings around us. Maybe he just wants ppl to get into meditation 🧘♂️ in every way possible. It works though. 🙃 instead of learning ways to live alone we can learn to form genuine connections and oneness with eachother atleast that should be the start of integration instead of forcing your self to meditate in a cave till you become a 🪨 Alll you need is a loving hug and connection with your fellow beings. So get up guys and girls, if u feel lonely, try being more positive, smile more when u see someone you can connect and work on forming pleasant understanding connections with ppl and other beings around you. And if you can’t jump to human connections right away, dogs, plants, other animals will help you open up so that you will eventually start attelracting all kinds of resonant loving ppl around you 🧑🤝🧑👭🫂👬best of luck. However that will happen once you have learned to generate wellbeing from inside as well.
I feel soo lonely. I was in a car accident back in September losing my 15yr old nephew & almost losing my daughter. Our car was totaled & I’m unemployed. I feel trapped, stuck, I don’t know where to turn, where to go, or what to do. I hate being at home cuz I do nothing all day but just stare at a wall. I want to do more for my family. I’ve applied for jobs but always get denied. Can anyone help me?

Words don’t mean a thing if it’s no action to support the words. And action says it all, but why do you demand and exept more from others than you are capable of doing your self!?!?!! Stop that immediately! For your sake and your sake only. You are not responsible for any other than your own personal life!

Everyone around me died the day they decided to sign up for Facebook/ got addicted to social media and stopped living and looking each other in the eye 👁 I no longer see my family or friends because I’m too busy enjoying this life. If you’re lonely… do what I did… put the phone down, go outside, talk to stranger who is also alone… and you just might find that they don’t have a phone and will actually look you in the eye like humans used to do. Social media is causing your loneliness, your detachment… ditch it and you’ll find that loneliness is only a manifestation in your mind… believe it. Not everyone out there is a brain dead zombie 🧟♂️
