Wearing pants to a wedding is not only acceptable but also fashionable, as long as it aligns with the event’s dress code. Jeans are only accepted at the most casual ceremony, with the full knowledge and agreement of the bride. Opt for dark wash denim with no distressing and dress them up with a pretty blouse, feminine footwear, and nice accessories. Jumpsuits have also become popular options in some cases.
When choosing to wear pants to a wedding, be mindful of the material, as formal and casual pants are fairly similar. Choose quality fabric to elevate your outfit and make a statement. It is perfectly appropriate to wear a white dress shirt under a tuxedo or suit jacket. Similarly, it is also acceptable to wear a dress or jumpsuit with a hint of white as long as it is not too casual.
For daytime weddings, lighter fabrics, festive colors, and less-formal attire are the rule. For women, a nice daytime dress, skirt, top, or jumpsuit are good choices. For men, a well-tailored suit in a mid-to-dark neutral color like gray, blue, or charcoal is appropriate. Dress pants in silk, soft crepe, or layered with chiffon have a nice, flowy look that is elegant enough to work for a black-tie optional wedding.
When deciding whether to wear khakis to a wedding, consider the venue and time of day. When wearing plaid, it is a good idea to wear a full suit to keep the “plaid” aspect of your outfit casual. Trousers and blouses are perfectly acceptable cocktail attire for women, and no one has the right to judge you for it.

What is a wedding garter? A wedding garter is a piece of lingerie worn by brides under their gowns. It used to hold stockings up, but now it’s more common to wear it as a decorative item for the garter toss. Modern wedding garters are usually made of lace and held in place by elastic. They are worn around the mid-thigh for a sensual effect and are often used in bridal boudoir shoots. They are often passed on from generation to generation. Not all brides wear a wedding garter. Most brides keep the tradition as a meaningful part of their celebration, an accessory for wedding photos, a chic heirloom, or a sexy addition to the wedding night. Some brides skip the tradition.

As a wedding guest, you’re lucky. No wedding party rules for you! As a man, you’re even luckier. You don’t have to worry about dress codes or colors. You don’t have to worry about superstitions or gaffes. That doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want! Avoid these wedding fashion mistakes:
White: Don’t wear white to a wedding. You won’t be confused for the bride, but don’t wear white. Not casual, not formal. Just don’t. Boutonnieres: These are for the wedding party only. Choose items like lapel pins and pocket squares for interest. Upstaging: Are you the groom? Yes? Go wild! No? Don’t be the guy who upstages him. What should I wear? Ask the couple. If you don’t get a clear answer, stick to a classic look. Go for a clean look that doesn’t draw attention away from the groom. Don’t wear your Mr. T bling. Don’t wear a tuxedo if you don’t need to. You’re not bad, but you’ll look like you’re trying too hard. Mix and match. You can wear a smart blazer and slacks for less formal weddings. Don’t wear a suit jacket with pants. Suits are a set, so don’t wear them separately. Miss the shoes. Scruffy shoes ruin a look. Almost all dress codes require dress shoes, even casual weddings. Make sure they’re clean. And don’t forget about open-toed shoes, flip-flops, and other inappropriate items. Denim: Come on, guys! Not even black. Not even if it’s a very informal wedding. Jeans are great, but not for this event. What about my band T-shirt? Weddings aren’t for t-shirts. Even if it’s a casual beach wedding, wear a collared polo or poplin shirt with short sleeves. No tees. No matter what. Can I wear my distressed X? No. No dirty clothes. No rips, tears, or holes. Dress to impress, not depress. What to wear at a wedding as a man can be confusing. However, she doesn’t like too-casual bags. A big mistake: If you’re wearing a beautiful dress, don’t bring the same bag you go shopping with.
Show-off outfits. Don’t wear revealing clothes, says Sabatino. Crop tops, dresses with mesh, short skirts, plunging necklines, and form-fitting gowns are more appropriate for a night out than a wedding. A skimpy outfit will attract negative attention and take attention away from the bride.
📹 Is It A Sin to Wear Pants? |Hard Questions
Lisa wants to know if she is sinning by wearing pants.
QUESTION to everyone: 1. Is there anywhere the bible defines what a man’s clothing is and what a woman’s clothing is? 2. What is the biblical definition of a woman’s clothing? 3. Does the bible say anywhere that a woman’s clothes shoud be designed a certain way? 4. Why is the focus only on pants/trousers and not t-shirts or stockings or hats 5. Does bible in any book, chapter or verse forbid women to wear coats and jackets? 6. Does it anywhere forbid shorts and pyjamas or say they are men’s clothing? 7. Does bible anywhere forbid women to wear pantyhose because it takes the form of pants? 8. Are ties/bow ties, belts etc men’s clothing or a sin when worn by women 9. Are sweaters, cardigans, overalls, jumpers men’s clothing only. IF ANYTHING, PANTS ARE the most appropriate type of clothing that can conceal everything a woman needs to conceal. A woman wearing pants does not have to worry about wind accidentally blowing her dress and exposing her underwear to all and sundry. A woman on “her days” is much safer and better off wearing pants than wearing a dress. It’s easier for a sexual attacker to molest a woman wearing a dress than a woman wearing pants. There are pants designed for men and pants designed for women just as there is underwear designed for men and underwear designed for women.
I can see why Lord Jesus rebuked the phrases. Because of their motives. The whole Bible teaching is about our motives. If you were trouser with the intention to atrack men, then that’s a sin. I wish people could understand that our motivation is the only thing we have to deal with, the Bible would not be difficult to understand
My only thing that I disagree with, here, is the use of the phrase “what you’re willing to show, you’re willing to share” only because it makes it sound like assault is justified if a woman is wearing revealing clothing, which I disagree with heavily. I’m all about modesty, but I think the wording was faulty here is all.
HOW IS THIS HARD? My gender is not so malleable but it depends on my attire. When I’m wearing shorts I’m wearing shorts for the convenience and comfort I’m not worried because I want to be a guy. You can clearly say I am a female. I don’t get how this is even a problem. Men’s attire isn’t even “men’s” attire it’s just attire, regulated toward men.
Ughhh I feel like some people in the comments miss the whole point of the Bible. The old testament has ALL kINDS of rules that we would ALL break. Leviticus 19:27 – men dont trim your beard. Jesus came to end the legalism, because NO ONE would ever get to heaven that way. Ever. He was very clear. He showed us what its important, that Jesus was all that matters and we are to follow his lead. This man “what your willing to show is what you are willing to share.” That’s the dumbest thing. So men who show their face (including married men) are saying they want to share their lips? So dumb. Just treat women like they are human and take control over your own life. Jesus was the first person to stand up for women, prostitutes and women that were viewed as “unclean” and he told everyone they had no right to judge anyone. Why are we listening to an old testament verse but not Jesus? I just feel like some people are missing the whole point of the bible and this is what turns people away from christianity because women have to listen to dumb sayings like “if you show it, be willing to share it.” Which promotes rape culture. Just stop this craziness. Plus, there are cultures where men and women wear the same thing in certain tribes. Does that mean they all go to hell? Think logically people and let God guide your heart. If your heart is NOT being lead by love, kindness, non-judgement…. then you are listening to the wrong voice. That would be the enemy speaking to you because the enemy promotes harsh judgement, anger and righteousness.
Early Roman Christians wore togas, skirts and long flowing robes. The founding fathers of the USA dressed in wigs with ribbons, silk fancy clothes etc. In Medieval times men wore a dress shirt and leggings. A lot of Christians do judge with dagger eyes, a person how they look and dress, instead of looking at their hearts mind and soul as God does. Also the old testament says to not cut the body, but if one has open heart surgery is that sin when the body is cut. Also thousands of innocents who were said to be witches were put to death as Christians in the past, followed what the OT said about not letting a witch live.
See this pastor lady I don’t know because I don’t want to judge. I’m trying to get the whole family off makeup, died hair, Gold Jewellery, High heels, painted hair and all the fake stuff like fake hair, nails, eyelashes etc. But here she comes with makeup jewellery – the lot but Jesus says No. I mean – only God will help us 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I came to realize that some people think when the Bible tells them to come as they have to remain the way they came like and not fix the wrong things they have been doing that brought them to him in the first place, God is only trying to say that you don’t have to fix something on you first in order to face him, you need to have him work on it together with you and you can fix the thing later not remain the way you came like, don’t know if it makes sense it’s my way of thinking
God looks upon the heart. When we are born again we are saved and Jesus is our righteousness and The Holy Spirit is given to us to guide us into all truth and we will be changed from the inside out, a new Heart and right desires are formed in us, everything wrought in Christ is Holy and everything of the flesh is not, so dead works of trying to be holy on the outside without the inside being cleansed is futile. Unless we are born again (spiritual birth in Christ Jesus) we will not enter the Kingdom of God. I have walked for many years born again and Jesus has changed me ( taken me out of Egypt and Egypt out of me so to speak) and things I once did and loved have lost their attraction and hold over me and when God sets us free we are free indeed. Being legalistic will cause people to judge others on the basis of how they look and dress etc, which is the worse sin? It is amazing to watch the changes over a period of time when someone is a baby Christian, we do not need to fret. “The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me” ( The way God works in every part of our lives, inside and out, reveals that He loves us deeply and has a significant plan for us.
To J. Anthony Gilbert pastor of Kingdom Restoration Christian Center, in Mount, Washington; I am going to share your words of wisdom on my Facebook page when you said “What you’re willing to show. You’re willing to share.” Regarding how people dress today. Thank you, sir, for standing up for what’s right and speaking the truth.
I am a woman believer of God and I believe a woman can wear anything that is modest. I believe the dress and skirts are more appropriate for a woman. I wear pants all the time. I m starting to feel not right wearing pants for church. That’s a change I think I am making that’s not coming from me. Currently my wardrobe is mostly of pants and I don’t wear skinny jeans nor the leggings.
In Bible it’s mentioned woman shouldnt wear men clothing but there are pants made for womans is that means we should even wear pants at home? I used to wear pants at home that also home wear pyjamas one of our servant of God saw it and started advising. I just went like that to walk in the road. I felt very embarrassed 🤪😐 even they complain to wear long dress and very loose clothing 😱
Most people in hell got there because they thought God was joking. The girl that is not saved – it’s not even about what she is wearing. What we are wearing is about a Godly woman who is still seeking the world. A friend of the world is an enemy of God. Now in the heart of a believer – giving up trousers and makeup should be easy because the things of the world have very little power over a believer.
It’s a very big sin for a woman to wear trousers, Deut 22:5,the word of God still stands, madam go back to your root. Those who want to see God will listen and obey the word of God, we do not worship God only in our hearts, what in the hearts reflect on your body, Rom 12:1. Your body too as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable, Do not follow many people to sin, christianity is not about what you want to do Galan 5:24, you need to crucify this flesh, start asking asking God. Don’t wait for it to get to your judgement day, you can not come back, there are also many things which is not good for you as a Christian jewellery, make- ups, hair extensions, tattoos, exposing your body parts etc.
I wear trousers but i dont wear the one that is not decent.infact i dont like wearing skirt cus it make me uncomfortable cus some part ofy body will be visible and i dont like it.i sont expose any part of my bodybfor anything and i am comfortable with it.i dont feel at anytime that i am doing something wrong cus almost all of my body is covered and i do my work with ease.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJVAE It’s funny that a woman’s jeans always accentuate the “curves” of the female body. Wonder what’s that all about?!
I’ve read plenty comments here. You find people for and against the motion of women wearing trousers. Some say that God is only focused on the inside.🤔 It’s an obvious truth that the bible said nothing about trousers, and according one male pastor there, trousers never existed in the time the bible was written. According to Deuteronomy, there’s obviously clothes meant for men and clothes meant for women 🤔 If anyone as christian believe this clothes distinction, 🤔. Following these pastors argument Guess what people 👀 Skirts were not worn during the time the bible was written “So therefore, I can wear a skirt as a man”🤷🏾♀️ Let think about it 🤔 I can wear heels as a man 😂 Afterall, “is God concerned with the inside and not my appearance?” A major attribute of truth is that it is consistent (biblical truth) For some mysterious reasons, trousers is used to symbolize masculinity and gowns are used to symbolize feminity. You would know this if you’ve seen a sign board distincting gender. All these just mean I can wear something as long as the bible didn’t say anything specific about it. Till date am yet to find that particular shirt that is specifically for men😂 But as a man, I know what shirts are feminine and don’t wear them. Lastly, to say that there are female trousers means there can be the male versions of female clothes. Maybe a male blouse can simply be a plain blouse without flamboyant designs🤷🏾♀️.
IT’S ABOUT WHAT GOD’S HOLY WORD SAID S, DON’T GET I T TWISTED OR TWIST THE WORD OF GOD AS SO MANY SO CALLED CHRISTIAS CONTINUE TO DO ESPECIALLY IN THESE END TIMES WHERE THE WORLD GROWS MORE EVIL. The truth of the matter Christianity continue s to twist the word of God for to fit mans and woman s ways of suiting there own desires . Just do your research and admit to Truth. SHALL WE BEGIN!
Whatever we say, the Bible set terms for worshipping the Almighty God YHWH. You cannot change those laws just because you feel comfortable with and you don’t worship God dressed in the way that is an abomination to him. Wether you like it or not pants were not meant for girls so, the pastor may not forbid you or say it to you but that’s an abomination to the Lord. You can’t change how God feels just because you feel it otherwise. Who is greater you or God.

Is it not a proven fact that women like men with big shoulders? Is it not a proven fact that mens suit jackets are tailored to accentuate a mans shoulders as well as his chest? If you are lusting after a girl because she is wearing pants it is your choice to take part of the sin of lust. You have to already be lusting in your mind and heart to fall into a spell of lust over a woman wearing pants. People do not get awkward situations generally because a woman wearing pants walks into the room. Dresses are far more exposing also in a practical world. I am a healthy man with a healthy sex drive. I am also a married man who loves the Lord and loves my wife. I will not lust after another woman. Lust is intent. Lust is wanting but knowing it is not likely so fooling ourselves to say well I know I am not going to have sex with her but at least I can look. What if she offers and you already fed the lust? If I see a deliberately sexy image on tv or online or in public my eyes dart away because I do not want to be tempted by lust. I don’t even have to think about it. God helps me with this because I asked him to. I was tired of feeling shameful and guilty when my conscience was telling me not to look and I was catching a peak. I had no ill intent I thought but I was feeding my mind with an image that I knew could stir feelings with a hormonal response that leads to sexual attraction. I have a beautiful wife. If I look at all the skin and butts I see out there and rate them I am going to start to see my own wife differently.
Many Christian’s won’t make it to heaven because of this pants of a thing… If you don’t wear pant you’re safe, if you wear then you’re on 50/50 because when you get there at the end and you get to the hall of worldliness and the Angel standing there tells you you cannot proceed further because you put on pants … Who would you blame? Don’t risk your eternity because of a pair of pants… Holiness is deeper than what many of us practice… People don’t know how deep it is to serve God in Holiness… Pants has been the reason many ladies go to hell, I know of a pastor here in my country who died and got there and when he was sent back he told us pants takes people to hell… Because it’s an inappropriate dress for a woman
Why is this a hard question? It wasn’t a hard question a hundred years ago. Or even sixty years ago for the vast majority of Bible-believing Christians. It sounds like you guys (and gal) simply answered this question “off the cuff.” You answered using your own experience, the norms of the culture, and gave very little attention to Scripture that is relevant to the question. In addition there were several logical fallacies and historical errors in your claims. If the Bible says something is an abomination to the LORD, it is a serious offense – God detests things that are abominable to Him. I think you are on shaky ground here. This issue ought not be taken lightly. In Matthew 5:19 Jesus gives a warning concerning the moral law: “Whoever therefore breaks the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” It would be wise, then, to err on the side of the conservative, don’t you think? 1) Deuteronomy 22:5 certainly includes disguising oneself as the opposite sex, but its main purpose is the distinction between the sexes. God created “male and female.” You should be able to identify a man from a woman at a distance by their clothing. The unisex/androgynous look that began to emerge in the mid-1960s (when I was in high school), contributed to the degeneration of gender distinctions through ambiguity and now “non-binary” advocacy is destroying an entire generation.
If I should ever have kids and a husband my husband would wear trousers, not jeans, and my daughters would wear dresses below the knee. None of them would wear jewelry, makeup or have tattoos. It will be a completely modest home and if I have sons they would cut their hair and grow their beards. I’m so old fashioned, women should wear dresses and men should wear trousers.
