In the Harry Potter series, Ron is defensive and grumpy about the presence of Viktor Krum at Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley’s wedding on August 1, 1997. Krum, an internationally acclaimed Quidditch player, attends the wedding and notices Xenophilius Lovegood wearing the symbol associated with the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. This makes Ron jealous of him and his relationship with Hermione.
In the books, Krum attends the wedding as a guest, making Ron envious. Before Krum has a chance to ask, Ron drags Hermione onto the dance floor. The two see each other again at the wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour, where a disguised Harry tells Krum that Ginny Weasley had a big, jealous boyfriend. Before the final match of the 2014 Quidditch World Cup, Harry embraced Viktor and introduced his two sons, James and Albus, to him, indicating that the two are likely to be together.
Krum remains interested in Hermione, even though it doesn’t work out until the wedding of Bill and Fleur. At the wedding, Krum talks to Harry (in disguise) for one page long, which is a joke.
The wedding of William Weasley and Fleur Delacour took place on August 1, 1997, at Bill’s family home, The Burrow in Devon, England. The bride and groom were married on August 1, 1997, and their wedding was a joyous and wonderful break from the threat of the Dark Wizard’s curse.

How old was Fleur when she got married?
When I was younger, I thought Harry’s parents were in their mid to late 30s. In the last book, I learned that they died when Harry was one. They probably got married when they were around 19 or 20, just a couple of years out of Hogwarts. They aren’t the only young couple in the wizarding world to get married. Fleur Delacour is 21 when she marries Bill Weasley, who is 26. We don’t know when Harry and Ginny got married, but Ginny was 22 and Harry was 23 when they had their first child. This means they probably got married a year or two earlier. Hermione and Ron have their first child at 25. These numbers are still lower than the average age of marriage in the Muggle world at that time. In the UK, women married at 29 and men at 32. Wizards live longer than Muggles, so marriage is a more serious commitment. Why do wizards marry young? Wizards are few, so they meet all the wizards of their generation at Hogwarts. I think it’s also because of the two wizarding wars, since wizards live much shorter lives during that time. Mrs. Weasley says that Bill and Fleur’s quick marriage was due to the uncertainty of You-Know-Who’s return. People were afraid they might die, so they rushed to make decisions they would normally take time over. People were eloping left, right, and center when he was powerful again (HBP 93). She says the same was true of her and Arthur’s marriage, which happened soon after they left school. Tonks and Lupin get married soon after they start dating. They probably do this because they’re afraid they won’t survive the war. Harry’s generation was done with the war before they had to choose a spouse. They still married their high school sweethearts young. This may be because of the wizarding wars. Hermione and Ron, and Harry and Ginny, had been through a lot together by the time they were 17. Nobody else could understand what they had been through. Facing the possibility of losing each other, these couples realized how lucky they were to still be together. You can’t share everything without getting married. Defeating Voldemort together is one of those things. I think the next generation of wizards will wait longer to get married.
Why did Krum hurt Fleur?
When the four of them entered the maze, things changed. Krum attacked Fleur after being bewitched by Barty Crouch Jr. (posing as Mad-Eye Moody). Harry and Cedric were the last two champions. Cedric was the last to find the Triwizard Cup after Harry helped him from an Acromantula attack. Cedric could have won, but he didn’t want the cup. That was it. That was when we realized how special Cedric was. Why it matters. Cedric should have been the only Hogwarts champion. He was the right age, played by the rules, and the Goblet chose him. He had to share the honor with a fourteen-year-old boy who had already achieved fame and glory after fighting Voldemort. Harry got the most attention at the tournament, mostly because of Rita Skeeter.
Who did Viktor Krum marry in Harry Potter?
He came in second, behind Pietro Maximoff. The two became friends after the tournament. After graduating from Durmstrang, Viktor kept playing Quidditch professionally. He married Athena Eliopolous in 1997, with Pietro as his best man. Krum quit Quidditch after losing to Egypt in the 2002 World Cup. Egypt won 450-300. After retiring, Viktor lived a quiet life for the next twelve years, being a full-time father to his three children. In 2014, he came out of retirement to compete in the World Cup. He wanted to win before he died. The Bulgarian team won the World Cup that year, beating Brazil in the final. After his famous win, Krum retired from Quidditch. He now works for a Bulgarian Quidditch company and might run for president of the European Quidditch Association.

Ron Looking At Hermione In Bill And Fleur’s Wedding – Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1.
While I enjoyed the Harry Potter movies, I was incredibly upset with the lack of backstory on Dumbledore given that his and Grindelwald’s quest for the hallows and their relationship was a big part in Harry finally understanding Albus. Plus might I add Percival Dumbledore didn’t kill those muggle boys all the book said was that he did something to them and was put in Azkaban for the rest of his life and also the fact that Fantastic Beasts is skimming over a lot of Dumbledore’s backstory is completely unforgivable in my opinion. JK Rowling should’ve just left Albus Dumbledore’s story out of the Fantastic Beasts movies and Harry Potter movies since it is obvious that she and the directors have no intentions to give the full backstory.
In the book, Ron invites Hermione to dance, not as a last resort. Viktor arrived too late this time. I was very disappointed that they did not put this scene on, as everyone would remember the scene of Hermione’s winter ball crying and telling Ron the next time to invite her before someone else did and not as a last resort, and that was what Ron did.
still pissed that they removed the scene where Bill was attacked by Greyback, butchered his face and Molly thought the wedding is now off but Fleur said ” You think Im not gonna marry him!? you think bill is not gonna marry me!? Its brave my book! I’m pretty enough for both of us! give me that.” Then grab the cloth Molly is using wiping the blood on Bill. I was like – go girl! take you man! ❤❤🎉🎉
