What Does A Prostitute Mean By Bride Treatment?

The girlfriend experience (GFE) is a popular service that involves more personal interaction than traditional call girls. It is often provided through an escort agency and is a focus on personal connections. Prostitution, the world’s oldest oppression, arises from gender inequality and is considered a violation of human rights.

Prostitutes are individuals who have sex with someone for money, using their abilities or beliefs in a way that is not a violation of human rights. The term “prostitute” can refer to various types of sexual services, such as rheumatic disorders, connective tissue diseases, and autoimmune diseases.

The Bible describes prostitution as a form of sex work where adults sell or buy sexual services without violating human rights. However, marriage is sometimes unwittingly defined as legalized prostitution, which can be challenging to agree with.

Prostitution can also refer to sacred and prostitute concepts, with some modern sacred prostitutes acting as sexual surrogates as a form of therapy. The Book of Hosea begins with the command of God to marry a prostitute, and the word “prostitute” derives from the Latin word “prostituere,” meaning to expose publicly.

In conclusion, prostitution is a complex issue that has led to debates about its legalization and its impact on human rights. Understanding the different definitions and terms used to describe prostitutes can help individuals navigate the complex landscape of this practice.

Do prostitutes have respect?

People who sell sex are often treated badly, but they have the right to be treated with respect. Prostitution is one of the oldest jobs in the world, but it is often misunderstood and unfairly judged. Respecting sex workers is important for a just and fair society. Sex workers are often discriminated against and their work is often illegal. It’s important to recognize the humanity and civil rights of all sex workers and treat them with respect. To respect sex workers, we must understand the factors that shape their lives and work. Poverty, racism, sexism, and violence against women are all connected to the sex work industry. Many sex workers have no other choice but to work in the industry because there are no other jobs for them. They work to support their families or to become financially independent. Sex workers are also targeted by law enforcement, which further marginalizes and criminalizes them. They provide a vital service to their clients. They should be able to do so safely and with respect. Their work should be respected and protected. This means providing sex workers with safe, legal, and non-discriminatory working conditions. Many people enter prostitution because they have no choice. They may be poor, abused, or need to support their families. They should be treated the same as anyone else. Prostitution is not a crime. In many countries, prostitution is legal. Laws protect prostitutes and ensure they are treated with respect. Treat prostitutes with respect. Listen to them, be polite, and don’t judge them. They are human beings with feelings and rights. Prostitution affects men, too. Men, transgender people, and gender non-conforming people can also be involved in prostitution. They should be treated the same as anyone else. Finally, sex work can be a positive experience for many people. Prostitutes should be able to choose their work without fear or judgment. Prostitutes are people too. They deserve respect and dignity.

  • Shame on that man’s family who knew their son had HIV and hurried the wedding along, fully understanding that his new wife/their daughter in law is going to get infected with HIV as well… like why?! They knowingly transmitted this disease to her 😡😠 They knew they would consummate their marriage on wedding night and clearly didn’t give two sh*ts. That’s like knowingly giving someone cancer…. I bet their excuse was, “but.. but… our son has right to marry as well” 🙄

  • Early on in the epidemic a friend’s nephew came to our workplace. He had HIV and many health issues. When he got up to leave, I hugged him. He started crying and said no one had touched him since his diagnosis. I felt so angry that people were so damn determined to be ignorant and judgmental. Even at that time it was very clear how the disease is transmitted.

  • She made such a massive difference, not just medically, but in society. I’m sure that thanks to her more and more doctors behaviour changed for the better and the same about people, common citizens. India you had a great doctor, a great activist, a great woman who imprived the country. Don’t forget about her, she is a perfect example of how to be as a person, as a professional, as a partner. Greetings from Italy.

  • This made me cry😭, she is one of the great doctor world would ever have again. Where many doctors work for money but just few or it’s rare to see such doctors with heartful who treat patients as family other than profession. RIP Dr. Solomon. In a world full of dishonesty we found a gem💎 through DW Documentary. Thank you DW documentary.

  • I am a chiropractor so very different than an MD. I see several clients with HIV and when they tell me or I see it in their forms it’s as if saying the sky is just a different shade of blue, and we carry on. I could never imagine treating them any differently than anyone else. This doc is someone special.

  • Just finished perusal within moments of being happy for their marriage ..my heart sank when i heard of Dr Suniti’s demise….If Manu and Karthik are seeing the comment…I wish the world of happiness for you…Just one doubt won’t the face reveal pose a problem…if you could give us how that experience was it would be very insightful..thank you

  • In America. I remember there was a time that each person had to get tested for std’s before being allowed to marry. They should go back to those times, so each person is aware of whether or not they have something. That should be mandatory everywhere, so it gives the other person the choice. It is a human right to know if their partner has something.

  • im in my 30s. i got this disease as a teenager during my first “encounter”. In the USA there is a big stigma if youre “poz”. there are some 1.2 million poz men n women here. Gay and straight, rich and poor, black and white. A matching program like this is greatly needed here as well as all around the world. some days the loneliness is a lot to take.

  • You know that when a kind person does things for society, they donot expect to come back in any form, they just keep their good work….this is what I learn to such articles and this is also one of them. Dr. Solomon thanks to your passion to work for the society, where kind person like you will always be remembered. ❤RIP

  • As an Indian in America I know the cultural struggle of marriage and these issues of the “outcasts.” I’m so glad there is a beautiful women out here protecting these poor souls. It’s all accidental. I’m glad this educated and very passionate woman is out here being a guardian for these women and men. Bless her soul and heart.

  • This doctor is what every doctor ought to be…. one who treats the patient as a whole person, seeing their humanity irregardless of their diagnosis, not merely doling out meds to treat a symptom. Western doctors could learn a thing or two. Listening to Karthik giggle like a school boy when attempting to describe his feelings…. priceless. My heart has been made joyful.

  • I was so happy for the couple. The terrible news about Dr. Solomon’s death hit me in the heart. She cared so much about her patients and their happiness, but I think she didn’t care for her own health. I am so, so sad at her passing. May you rest in everlasting peace, doctor. Your memory will be a blessing for so many. Shalom.

  • Omg, I wasn’t expecting the end. I thought she was continuing her work in India with HIV patients. Her vision for happiness and attainment of love or family should be a goal for other physicians treating patients who are HIV positive. They should not treat but also advocate for them to have a fulfilling life. In addition, I’m happy for both Manu and Karthik. I respect their choice of not procreating. I hope they enjoy each other for all the days of their marriage.

  • This doctor reminds me of one of my clinical preceptors back when I was in school. But I digress. I really do not understand why HIV is still so highly stigmatized in 2020. Something else I’m not understanding is how this doctor finds time to do research, teach medicine, run a practice, AND be a matchmaker.

  • I’ve lost a few friends and family members to this virus. They passed during the late 80s into the 2010’s. As an American, I know this brave and compassionate woman’s work has helped the world over have a better understanding of this virus. I’m so happy that she also understood the basic human needs of compassion and having a partner in life. Sometimes just having one person on this planet that loves and understands you can make all the difference in your world.

  • Stumble upon this documentary by accident and all i could say the vibes in this documentary is heartwarming. Kudos to Doctor Solomon for her combination of knowledge and kindness for breaking a stigma of HIV patients. I think all medical worker should stay away from prejudice and stereotype when dealing with patients.

  • That ending is probably one of the most impactful endings i’ve seen in a docu First you get to know their story, and then they reveal how they look. It ropes you into their lives and stories. Because you cant judge them based on their looks or the stereotypes we have. Amazing work by the directors and the editors.

  • That was an amazing journey in Dr. Solomon’s life after her death. Her love story, how she helped the HIV positive to find love in their lives & how she pursued her work with passion despite the other doctors & professors judged her for her work. I hope her work is recognized around the world. She’s really a miracle worker. She made difference & made it possible for HIV patients that it is possible to find love despite their conditions. I really love this documentary.

  • Dr Suniti Solomon is such an amazing person. She denied society’s pushback to detect HIV in Indians through sex workers, married out of love at a time in India when you could be murdered for honor by your family (still happens in some cases) and has such awe-inspiring self-confidence! I wish to be more like her. She says “CD4 is our astrology.” And believe me, that’s a might powerful statement to make in a country astrology decides the final fates of marriages.

  • Before I first had sex for the first time with my girlfriend at the time, I asked her if she was sure since it would of been her first time. I asked her ” what If I had some kind of disease? Aren’t you scared?” She told me that she loved me at that’s what matters and that she wants this. We been married now for 20 years but thinking back, I could of got stds from someone else and gave it to her. People tend not to think much about the consequences of unprotected sex when they are attracted someone. Sometimes they end up with pregnant. Sometimes they get infected with an std that can be cured. Sometimes worse if they get aids and without knowing it gives it to someone else. Nobody wants to think that their partner might have hiv.

  • An absolutely wonderful and uplifting vision of positivity around the VERY TABOO topic of HIV/AIDS . God bless the doctor AND the participants in search of a true and forever love . And why not ? They are still human beings with all the same desires as those without a chronic, life threatening disease . This couple, especially, because they both contracted the disease NOT by any bad life choices but because of the failures and choices of OTHERS . I wish them a long long healthy and joy filled life .❤

  • I’m a yoga therapist, trained in Chennai with both krishnamacharya Yoga Madiram and krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation, and I did my final yoga therapy project on the subject of “Yoga as a wellness tool for people who are HIV+”, I taught personalised yoga practice to HIV+ people in Taiwan, after 6 mounths practicing yoga, one of participant’s CT4 from 560 raised to 820, and his feedback about practicing yoga was good, so don’t lose hope, just take care your health with appropriate diet and exercise, and keep taking prescribed medicine, you will manage maintaining your health reasonable well. Thank you Dr. Solomon not only taking care of her patients’ physical health, but also keep their mind strong, psychologically in equilibrium balance. RIP Dr. Solomon.❤ What a shame that I didn’t manage to meet you in Chennai.

  • The most beautiful documentary I have ever watched. Building hope when it feels hopeless and making that hope a reality. God bless this beautiful soul and all the best to Manu and Karthik. Go with the flow Manu and Karthik. Everyone has to leave someday anyway, matter of time. Live to the fullest now. God bless.

  • What a joyous documentary to watch. I enjoyed the happiness couples felt when meeting and speaking of marriage. It made me feel that there is hope for individuals who want to get married that are dealing with HIV. I’m very sorry that Dr. Suniti Solomon passed away from cancer. She helped so many with her kind heart💓 Rest In Peace Dr. Suniti Solomon. What a great documentary😁👍🎉🙏

  • She was so kind hearted, the way she speaks, she speaks kindness and thoughtfulness, I had never seen anyone like her. She’s wonderful and God fearing. She helped many, she and her team gave hope to the hopeless, If only all of us was like her, this World could have been any better. ❤️ May her soul is in the arms of our Loving God!

  • Oh My God I’m so emotional nd happy after perusal this documentary. It is such a touching one. The Doctor was surely so amazing nd “God like”We need more doctors like her nd seeing the couples happy, listening to their voice before nd after meeting each other was so different nd amazing. This was a perfect Love Story Cupid being the Doctor 🥺😭❤God bless the couple nd hope they live a healthy nd long life🙏

  • Got me crying over here. What a kind-hearted person she was! Not going to lie the ending destroyed me finding out she has passed. It’s people like her that give me hope for humanity may her soul rest in peace. To the couple, your love story is beautiful given the harsh circumstances that brought you together I truly hope you guys are living your best lives.

  • This is soooo wholesome ❤️🥺 … Nd Heartbreaking at the same time, when she said her patients give her invitation card nd then say not to come to the wedding 😭 This is filmed so well 🎦🎞️, the music, the faces of characters hidden 👥 throughout the documentary until last nd the light set up while Karthik was telling about phase when he told his parents about HIV⭕, the every single detail nd gestures of characters 🤝, nd the change of pitch in their voice when they talk about each other, the excitement 😭❤️ Loved the way Dr. Sumiti kept wearing bangles nd bindi nd the orchids she kept infront of her husband’s photo 🥺❤️ May her soul rest in peace 🙏🏻

  • All comes down to money. Whether it was blonde, blue eyed Russian girls in. The 1990’s going into prostitution after the Soviet Union collapsed, or black slave women pre Civil war in the States, or Irish/ German immigrant girls turn of the century, etc etc etc. It all comes down to who has money and who doesn’t

  • This devadasi system operates in one particular region of India. It was very prevalent once in that region akin to Phoenician / Roman temple practices; once they were considered oracle sayers in India too. In time, the High priest cast system together with local land lord made them into Temple prostitution although it is punishable by law today. They have no relevance to Calcutta prostitution ring; two separate stories.

  • Most of the Hindus living in Western world don’t aggree with this even though they know this is still practiced and a bitter truth. As a Christian, I feel the message of Jesus is do powerful which can eliminate these evil practices without any legal or revolutionary efforts. The real change should happen in the hearts of people.

  • “The Love of Money is the Root of all Evil”..everything else is just the effect..don’t clean the web’s Kill the Spider’s” but wait there’s more… these are the same young girls they find murdered in back allies and dumpsters. and we sake our heads and cry crocodile tears..but the golden rule prevails “he that has the gold, rules”.. Money is a God..

  • Where in Hindu scriptures does this say.. I challenge anyone to quote me a verse from ‘Authentic scriptures’. When people corrupt scriptures for their own desires and people follow cultures such as this as a religion..it is a devil worship. People of this nature follow blindly parents that follow such cultures as a religion without studying their own scriptures. They just follow corrupt temples and pundits so blindly. Seeing this really makes me so angry with them for not taking a minute to think for themselves yet feel so so sorry for them it is very saddening.

  • Bharat/lndia was one of the earliest country to attain civilisation. This country prides itself with scriptures like the Vedas, Upinshads, Puranas, Gita, Mahabratha, Ramayana etc. One should ask these questions, how did we allow the caste system to take shape when professions like the priest, warriors, administrators, and the various hard labour segments existed in every other part of the world. We were manipulated by our own community for selfish purposes. The change can only come about when the world accepts and practices this belief, “Race Means Humanity and Religion Means Love.” I like to end off my thoughts and beliefs by quoting Albert Einstein: “THE PROBLEMS WE HAVE TODAY, CANNOT BE SOLVED WITH THE SAME THINKING THAT WE USED, WHEN WE CREATED THEM. WE NEED TO RESEARCH ALTERNATIVE TEACHINGS, WHICH NEEDS TO DIG DOWN DEEP, INTO THOSE ANCIENT BOOKS OF PHILOSOPHY AND WISDOM.”

  • To any first world citizens who have the resources and are willing to adopt, please adopt children from India cause this is what happens to the most marginalized section and bear in mind this could really save lives of those who are about to go through the most inhumane abuse possible with not even the government are bothered about. This is a humble request.

  • This is not a place in Southern India as mentioned in the article, seems a remote village in north India since they are speaking in Hindi. Practices and suppression of this form should be condemned, government won’t do anything because they are afraid of losing electoral votes. Only NGO’s or social organizations can take up this cause, but even then its a long way to go.

  • One of the saddest things that people are unaware – Devadasis used to be highly educated and prominent wealthy women… colonisation destroyed the system and the result left the above – the mindset and belief had not changed and left this huge void in its gaps. Unfortunately, the very women that they used to revered are now despised.

  • How tragically sad that all those girls, and everyone still folliwing a tradition associated with poverity and ignorance to support such a cast system of exploitation of young girls who have no choice…nice that the older women try to look after the girls and some officials are trying, seemingly in vain, to change things. However as long as proverity and lack of education and opportunity persist, this religious practice, no doubt, will continue. An when you look at how those assiciated (landlords, pimps and families) profit from the girls in this way of life, change will come slowly. Peace

  • In the start they mentioned it’s in the southern India but the language these women are speaking is Bengali and I have never seen south Indian people (who are the natives and according to your data provided illiterate) speaker East Indian language.. And at 6:52 if you could take you mind off from the fake story that you were listening then you could see it’s clearly written “Under supervision of A.I.I.H & P.H Calcutta” Calcutta is in West Bengal. No other proof is needed to prove that this shit is completely fake. But, I know nobody give a shit about what the reality is, they just wanna believe what they think is right. This comment may even get deleted for obvious reasons but, just wanna say that please don’t use this sensitive issue for fame and your religious promotion. Peace.

  • This tRadItiOn should be strictly outlawed. Thsi practise started from one place and ended up being this demented and riddled with superstition and subjugation of women and young girls. However, if one actually wants to read up on Devadasi, one should look towards research papers, not foreign YouTube articles with incorrect and incomplete information. Even the subtitles are not matching with the actual audio. The practice around yellamma does involve forced sex work but yellamma herself is not the goddess of prostitution. A god of prostitution does not exist. In southern parts of India, Yellamma is revered as an avatar of Paravati and is worshiped as the fertility god. A lot of her devotees maybe subalterns and low-caste people, but she has big temples in her honor. The lore around her is now steeped in superstitions and misinterpreted legends that are now disguised as tradition. Devadasis were devotees and temple dancers who practiced dances like Bharatnatyam and Odisi but they started to lose the patronage of Persian and Mughal rulers since they misinterpreted the tradition. They were unaware that art could be a form of offering to a deity since this practice was absent in the religion they revered. By the Brits came, they imposed Victorian morality. It was not just that the devadasi practice was changed but many other things (such as wearing a blouse with a saree etc). But by their time, the practice has degenerated into sex work. One can easily find multiple sources of the Devadasi system if one wants to read up more on it.

  • He just explained it. He said if he has a quarrel with his wife he can go to the temple to see the goddesses or something like that. So its telling you right there that the issue is a lot of men feeling trapped or like there’s not enough in it for them in a normal civilised family oriented setting on a constant basis. They are being bribed by being allowed to release the animal in them once in awhile. Its not right. No one actually willingly chooses to be used in that manner. Its just that some men cant accept that no one is here for that and others choose to enable them for gain.

  • Errrr. No. 1. Yellamma is not a Goddess of prostitution. No. 2. Devadasis do not exist anymore. Devadasis were employed and were under the patronage of Kings much like the Geishas and the Vestal Virgins of Rome. Dedication to the Goddess Yellamma started probably when the locals in the past who suffered from starvation dedicated their children to the temple because they simply cannot sustain them anymore. Destitute people often take extreme measures and this is prevalent in many parts of the world not just this remote village in India. This is merely one facet of it. And like all poor people left without a choice, they were taken advantage of by the ones with money and even now, the West sees this as a way for them to point at instead of solving child prostitution issues in their own country. 🤦‍♂️

  • I believe this is the worst possible thing existing in every country, society and religion. Even the virtual world is not free from such a curse. No religion promotes prostitution. Religions only create safe room for survival of the human beings who are supposed to be rejected by the society. I believe the disease is within us (mainstream citizen) who either do not have proper principles in place and look to exploit the opportunity or who cannot accept the exploited to be given the same dignity as us. I am sorry that I an unable to do much about this situation.

  • It’s not a cult, it’s Hinduism, and it’s probably older than your religion. This is why people in the west have difficulty understanding Hinduism. Even if there are sutras and teachings about sex, it’s not actually about the sex itself. It’s using pleasure and interaction with the physical world to achieve Divinity or self realization. In Hinduism, especially in tantra, there are multiple ways one can reach enlightenment and divinity. There is one small portion of it that involves sexual stimulation, but people in the west hear about this, and they blow it out of proportion. A religion like this could never exist in the west, because it would just attract a bunch of stupid young guys that are only there to get off. That is not the goal. Hinduism acknowledges all aspects of life as divine, including sex. This Disturbed many early Christian travelers in the area who misinterpreted it as something evil and seductive. It couldn’t be father from the truth. And these temples take great precautions to ensure that the power dynamic between the man and woman is equal. Many of these women trained for nearly two decades before they even saw a man. I was a sacred prostitute until I met a man who I fell in love with, and he bought my freedom from the temple, and I’m happy to say he’s my husband now.

  • Dr.ambedkar had shows the path to lower cast people but lower cast people probably don’t understand the value of Buddha…in India shankaracharya build four religious places, alexgendar conqueror approximately 8 percentage land there became great than the idea of Dhammma..I am from hindu family when I was in medical school I saw and realised that almost every person so ignorant they govern only by their genetic impulse they don’t want to understand how the nature work they don’t want to liberate themselves from these conditions their only desire is food and making baby for future time so that they can feed when they will become old….they are very ignorant

  • Violence in the Bible: Greatest Hits by Sarah Rollens, Visiting Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Rhodes College. 12/26/2016 \r \rFor many, the Bible (both the Hebrew Bible (aka the Old Testament for Christians) and the New Testament) is a moral touchstone and a guide to a peaceful life. Yet such a use of the Bible relies on a rather selective reading of its stories, since the Bible also contains numerous disturbingly violent tales. These violent stories are often passed over altogether or explained away as cultural remnants of the time when the stories were transmitted and written down. Yet it is worth knowing that these unseemly accounts still exist in the Bible, because some tend to treat this book as a homogeneous document that has a consistently nonviolent message. In fact, the Bible is far from a non-violent book. Here are the Top Ten most violent stories from the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament: 1. The Rape of Dinah (Genesis 34): The patriarch Jacob had twelve sons (the so-called Twelve Tribes of Israel), but only one daughter Dinah. One day, the prince Shechem laid eyes on Dinah and immediately desired her, such that he “seized her and lay with her by force.” Her father was initially outraged by this violation, but as it occurred in a patriarchal society, the men of both families planned a marriage between Shechem and Dinah, which would undo the shame that resulted from the incident. The only condition was that Shechem’s people had to agree to be circumcised.

  • Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit after they believed. Here’s why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That’s what Acts 2:38 is.We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ… Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.We can’t come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don’t be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritan. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away.Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

  • ♾♾Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don’t wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better. And addressing/thanking the CREATOR, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea 😊 Or just be my friend if you don’t want to say the prayer 😄 I’m trying to help you get right with the LORD🙏 Amen. You should prostrate yourself if you don’t want to do spoken prayer, or do both☺♾

  • Misleading article..I am from Karnataka, India, the same state Saudatthi temple is situated. The devadasi practice is long gone and the temple is now a popular tourist destination. And not one prostitute you showed later in the article belongs to Karnataka state. And Kolkata city is more than 2000 kms from the temple state that you are talking about. Prostitution is due to their personal choices and not due to the temple beliefs. Get your facts straight or stop making misleading articles to the world who are unaware of the facts. ITS A CRIME!

  • Factually incorrect.. The devdasi system of shown in the clip has no relationship to the sex trade of eastern India.. The dev dasi system is too a great extent outlawed by successive government in the states of karnataka and the sex trade in western India was at a time the main end destination…While the system in itself is worst and should be uprooted, the makers of this clip need a lesson in Indian Geography
