Lust has been a generational curse to my family to an extent that no one has ever gotten married in my family. And no one was living happily with his or her spouse. I didn’t know how to deal with lust and I was ashamed to talk about it so I kept it with myself as no one was there to help this teenager. So i started finding answer in the Bible and the verse ‘God created humankind.’&’God knows every human action’ convinced me to present my case before God. So I went to my room, locked the door and told to God all the things that I desired. But at first I was ashamed but then I ignored my shame and I start saying all the filthy desires i had in my heart and the filthy thing that I had done in the past with regards to lust. After saying all these things the Holy Spirit reminded me of other sins that I had done in the past so I said all of it as filthy as it was to God and i acknowledged that whatever i had done was evil in the sight of the LORD and confessed all the sins that I had committed. And i asked forgiveness for my transgressions in the name of JESUS CHRIST. After saying all this,SUDDENLY I was lighted up. All the guilt that I had been carrying all these years suddenly vanished . It was such a supernatural experience there are no words to describes it. From that time on I became a true believer in Jesus Christ. So my advise is to deny yourself and acknowledge the sins you have committed (because God can save the sinner you are but not the fake saint you act out to be )and ask forgiveness from God in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Thank you for this, I am someone who has been struggling on sexuality and purity and self control. I have been concerned that if I start leashing my feelings then maybe one day I will no longer have them, but no. God is the one in control and I also have control. I have had passion with lust or desire for companionship but it has gotten to the point that it is constantly on the mind. It is hard because I have asked God to help me, but after listening to these preachings Im realizing how important it is to look away, flee, or constantly put it into control. My grandmother ( i love and respect her) but she was someone who always felt something empty and looked to fill it with relationships. I am 30+ and not married yet. Whenever I have uncontrollable sexual desire, I fast for a day or two like the Muslim does and it works like magic. All the sexual desires disappear. That’s the Islamic way of dealing with lust unless you can’t get married. I tried many other ways before to divert my lust and sometimes those work for a while. Only fasting gives me perfect control over lust for a long period of time.

The butterflies will be in many relationships but will fade. Your emotions should be overpower you. 5:21 godly stoicism. Teaching you to not be mastered by your emotions but the other way around and also to have some balance and mercy over them. There is general terms in the verse mentioned because it can be different for every person. Sanctification, possess his own body, in honor, not in passion/ suffering or lust.

My husband is struggling with the spirit of lust… and he knows it he doesn’t go far to actually do something wrong like cheating on me. but he’s been pretty honest to me that it’s difficult to control at the gym where women wear tight clothings, or even get aroused by a flirty woman at work… (she’d told him ‘if we go to the toilet right now no one is going to know………..’) Honestly, I don’t know how to deal with my feelings towards this.
So there’s a question I’ve been struggling with perusal all of the demon slayers’ articles. If you “have a demon”, I thought that meant you were possessed. But Vlad says around 19:00, “it doesn’t mean you’re demon possessed.” So if I’m thinking of this correctly, this means that I don’t need someone else to put hands on me and pull a demon out in Jesus name so I start vomiting and gagging and seizing. It just means I need to pray to God to deliver me from that if I’ve identified what spirit it is? I’m struggling with this because I have things that I don’t act out anymore (sexual immorality, or at least try my hardest not to), but I still catch my eyes drifting towards the parts of women that they shouldn’t. And it’s almost involuntary, it just happens. Do I need deliverance or am I just human?
I do want to say one thing: I believe it to be true that once saved (born again) always saved. But I do think for a true christian it is good to try to sin as little as possible because the devil can infuence you more when you sin and do not ask for forgiveness, cleaning restoration, if that is necessary for the Spirit to do his work.

I have been single all mu life… Am 38 years, but sincerely speaking, i have failed God and myself several times…. I try to live in purity but sometimes its not easy… Sometimes I just feel like God has failed me for keeping me single for this long… Even though I have so much desire to be married…

I agree with everything you are saying. However, does a person really have to put down animals and Monkeys, to make their point? There is a niche of people who like abusing animals and Monkeys in particular, and this way of thinking, as if they are creatures without spirit (for which I disagree), and are garbage compared to humans, contributes to this outlook that certain people have, that it is okay to abuse animals, and Monkeys especially. Animal abuse is ungodly.
The best way to overcome lust is to never date. Remain abstinent and celibate for your entire life. It’s painful, difficult, and frustrating, but you can’t fall into sexual sin. I was so messed up emotionally I nearly had to be hospitalized. But during those years I never felt sexual desires. In fact I didn’t feel anything. But I wouldn’t advise anyone to live this way.
