What Does The Bride Really Say In Japanese?

The bride and groom undergo a series of rituals before their wedding day, including the Betrothal ceremony, which is a traditional Japanese betrothal ceremony. The bride wears a white kimono or shiromuku to symbolize her submission into joining a new family. The priest leads a purification ceremony, followed by food and alcohol being offered to the gods. The word “hashi” (橋) is commonly used to refer to any kind of bridge, from small pedestrian bridges to large suspension bridges.

The bride or groom responds to questions about their partner’s response, which can be a fun game like the He Said, She Said, or would she rather game. Japanese mail-order brides believe it is easier to find a partner online than traditional ways, as they don’t have to waste time communicating with people they have nothing in common with. They find Western males more perspective, clever, loyal, and manly.

The term for aunt in Japanese is typically おばさん (Obasan) or おば (Oba), depending on whether the aunt is from the mother’s side or father’s side. The weight symbolizes the bride’s willingness to endure the challenges of married life. The bride’s headdress, called a wataboshi, is traditionally large and bulky, covering her “horns,” symbolizing stubbornness or selfishness.

The only gift accepted at a Japanese wedding is cold, hard, cash. The name “Bride” is pronounced “Bride” in phoenetic Katakana, and the word “maji” means “really?” or “really” in daily conversations. The bride wears big white hats called wataboshi or tsunokakushi, which are the Japanese equivalent for a veil.

In summary, Japanese weddings involve a variety of rituals, outfit changes, and religious beliefs. The bride and groom must thank deities for the ceremony and guests for the banquet, and there is no occasion for the bride and groom to discuss their relationship.
