Is Daryl LGBTQ?
Daryl Dixon is asexual on the show. He’s an introverted character. That’s part of his appeal. I have to say something. In the old comic book, I mentioned that there was a possibility of making Daryl Dixon gay. This caused a lot of online discussion. I just wanted to say the possibility is there. I would have been fine with it, and the network would have been fine with it. We didn’t do that. Daryl Dixon is straight. Robert Kirkman said they’ll introduce a gay character from the comics during the second half of the season. That answers that. Daryl is not gay. This may or may not matter to fans.
As mentioned, this topic goes back to a few months ago when Kirkman responded to a fan question about Daryls sexuality. He said they have ideas about Daryls sexuality and that theyd address the subject if theres ever a quiet period in the show. Kirkman didn’t say what Daryl’s sexuality is, but his answer led people to speculate. The Walking Dead showrunner Scott Gimple commented on the topic, saying that Daryl is very guarded and that the question of his orientation in Season 5 shows this.
Was Daryl asexual?
The show didn’t comment on Daryl’s sexuality until 2014, when TWD comic creator Robert Kirkman said the character was asexual. Daryl means different things to different people in the fandom. It was a surprise when he was paired with a new character in season 10’s March 2021 episode, “Find Me.” Fans watched as Daryl grew close with a mysterious stranger over 27 months. The two were together for 10 months before Leah disappeared and came back in season 11.
Who is Daryl in love with?
Daryl’s only romantic relationship was with Leah. They met during the six-year period in Season 9 when he retreated to the woods and searched for Rick. Huth said in a featurette for Find Me that their relationship is interesting and not simple. I think they both have a lot of grief. They both lost a lot and are searching for something. They find they can comfort each other. Executive Producer Scott Gimple said this meant a lot for Daryl. It was important to show who he is and how this experience changed him. He hasn’t been like this in the flashbacks. We see a different side of Daryl. Daryl wanted to go away for several days to keep up his hunt for Rick’s body. Leah didn’t want him to go and gave him an ultimatum. He went, but then changed his mind. He found her missing and her cabin ransacked. They met again in Season 11 when the Reapers captured Daryl. He learned that Leah was part of the Reapers, who eventually let him join their group. In an interview with amc.com after Season 11’s “For Blood,” Collins said that Daryl and Leah had feelings for each other. As he becomes a Reaper, it’s a conflict for her because she doesn’t know where her loyalties lie. How can she show her love when she knows it will make her an outcast? They can’t be boyfriend and girlfriend in the Reaper world. She’s trying to stay alive and avoid being killed. When she found out Daryl lied about Maggie’s group, Collins said his deception almost destroyed them. I believe you never stop loving someone, at least in my experience. How do you live with that? Collins thought. She still loves him, but he’s betrayed her many times. She has to choose something different. She can’t choose him. Daryl killed Leah in Acts of God to save Maggie. Fans have wanted Daryl to date Carol since the series began. Daryl and Carol connected in Season 2 when he searched for Sophia. In a behind-the-scenes video for Cherokee Rose, Melissa McBride said that Daryl and Carol relate to one another. They both have wounds. They’re familiar with each other. In a video for Chupacabra, Reedus said their relationship is about two damaged people connecting. They’ve both been hurt and treated badly. McBride told AMC.com in a Season 11 Q&A that Cherokee Rose was one of her favorite episodes. Daryl is so endearing. He told the story of Cherokee Rose like a kid doing a class report. It was adorable! McBride recalled that it was really sweet when the little nerd tried to remember the story. That’s the start of it, right? That scene was beautiful. I’m glad they became a team. They fell in love. It just happened naturally. The writers didn’t try to make something up.Carol and Daryl are best friends. But the audience wanted them to take things to the next level. In Season 8, Reedus said he didn’t think Daryl dated before the apocalypse and that he wasn’t against Daryl and Carol being together. You never know what they’ll do with this show. I love Melissa more than Daryl loves Carol. Never say never. He said in a Season 9 Q&A that he likes the direction they’re going. The story comes first. They’re close. If you read a script and things are going well, watch your back. Laughs This show doesn’t let people be happy. If Carol is happy, Daryl is happy. That’s it. That’s a mature kind of love. Who knows what the future holds for Daryl? Maybe he’ll find happiness with a nun in France. Maybe he’ll come back to the US and get back in touch with an old friend. Or someone new will enter his life. Whoever it is, we’ll still hope Daryl rides off into the sunset with someone. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon airs on Sundays at 9/8c on AMC. 📹 Holly & Vince – 4×18 (part 2)
What I like about you. Season 4 episode 18: “Finally” Last episode! Val’s getting married and Holly dealing with Vince’s leaving.
I think originally they were intending for her to be married to Todd and that it wasn’t a dream and that Todd was going to act the way Vic was about not wanting to end their marriage because he believed it was fate. But when they started Season 4, Luke Perry wasn’t available to play Todd so they put Vic in Todd’s place.
To think Val wanted to get rid of Vic who was crazy about her and he wasn’t a predator or gold digger. It was mainly because she believed they got married in Atlantic City for the wrong reasons and that it wasn’t the way she pictured herself getting married. Everyone including Holly told her to give Vic a chance as he seemed like an awesome guy. Even her father told her that she can’t let Vic go. When they found out that the guy who married them in Atlantic City was a fraud and that they weren’t actually married, Val had fallen in love with Vic so they got married the traditional way.
