What Song Did Jeremy Camp Write On His Honeymoon?

I Still Believe is the fourth single from contemporary Christian singer-songwriter Jeremy Camp’s first major label full-length album, Stay, released on June 24, 2003. The song was written after the death of Camp’s first wife, Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, who died of cancer shortly after their 2000 wedding. The song peaked at No. 5 on the US Hot Christian Songs chart and became his second top ten single.

Camp wrote the song during their honeymoon, before their trip got cut short due to Melissa’s cancer returning with a vengeance. They worshipped the Lord and walked through fire together. Jeremy Camp became a widower at just 24 before he could really get his career in order. One of his first songs, “Walk by Faith,” dealt with Melissa’s illness and the song reached No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs Billboard chart.

The song was made popular by the movie “I Still Believe,” which tells the story of Jeremy Camp’s journey regarding the beginning of his Christian music career and his relationship with his first wife Melissa. After their honeymoon, doctors informed the newlyweds that the cancer had spread throughout Melissa’s body. She passed away just months later.

Jeremy Camp’s song “I Still Believe” was written in 2001 after a desperate cry to the Lord. The 2020 movie I Still Believe is based on Camp’s memoir of the same title (published in 2013). The song is his second song to be made into a music video.

In summary, I Still Believe is a poignant Christian music hit that tells the story of Jeremy Camp’s journey of finding hope and healing through life’s toughest moments.

  • Man, this song is so relatable! I’m kind of an overthinker, and I suffered from anxiety, (as some of you may know, it’s impossible to live in the present moment with anxiety) and it sucked ’till I realized I need to let my father in charge of my mind, let him hold my heart instead of trying to control it myself (wich usually ended in disaster). And this is exactly what the Lord is doing in my life, this is all I have been feeling these days. My friend, if you’re feeling anxious or lonely or your head is just a mess, please know you’re not alone, Christ is with you, and he knows how you’re feeling, he knows how bad it hurts, but he wants you to learn to trust him, he wants you to discover how much he loves you. Be brave in him <3 Also love to the author for letting the Saint Spirit guide his hand as he wrote this song <3

  • A beautiful song, such a great reminder to live in the present and enjoy every moment with your family while you have them. For everyone cooped up in the house with your family, enjoy it! It’s not every day that we get to have fun with each other.😀 I can’t help but think that maybe everything going on right now is Gods way of putting family’s back together.

  • Wow…what a timely song for me. I just lost my precious big brother to Covid. Its been an absolute tragic loss the way he passed, with no family holding his hand. But thank God that there were kind strangers that prayed with him before he passed and held his hand for us. His passing brings up the fact that I need to stay with my eyes on heaven. Keep me in the moment Lord!

  • I love him so! I was backslidden for a long time. It was a reaction to the pain of my husband molesting my children I was a Christian and it was a reaction to so much pain it wasn’t it wasn’t a rejection of God it was a reaction to all the pain. He’s found me again I found him I Run To Him, I’m never looking back in Jesus name!

  • Cannot wait! This song is an inspiration that we need to interact with our families more. Just like Jeremy’s daughter Bella. I’m soon, in 3 years, gonna take off from my family not really need to keep living with my parents, I’ll have my own life to take care of. So, it’s really important to stay connected with family, ‘cause one day it won’t be the same… #GodBlessCampFamily

  • Love that you stay true to the calling of a Christian musician. You keep us focused on Christ and heavenly things and for that I am grateful. I saw you in concert twice and I can’t wait to see you again one day!! So blessed by your music and your story. Saw the movie 2 days ago. Man, I cried like a baby. God bless you and your family. We pray for yall all the time. Peace from Florida!

  • You’ll never know how much this song meant to me right now. I have been struggling so hard with feeling like by the time I am able to enjoy doing things with my husband, our life will be pretty much over and it has filled me with so much sadness and also anger. Almost 8 years ago we adopted two of our grandkids that are both special needs because our daughter and her husband had them removed from their home and lost custody. My husband has a significant muscle disease that is progressing pretty fast right now so he is becoming much weaker and he is physically able to do less and less. We have not had a break just to have a “date” for over 8 years now as we live in a small area and as I said, the kids are both have challenges that makes it hard to have someone else care for them. I’m so exhausted and I’m also feeling so old. By the time they are ready to be out on their own we will be almost 68 years old. With my husband’s disease progression, what will we be able to do together? How am I going to physically care for him as well as raise challenging kids in the meantime? I LOVE THEM!! They are no longer grandkids, they are our children and I wouldn’t want it any other way, but when I heard “Oh Lord, keep me in the moment. Help me live with my eyes wide open ’cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me…. show me what matters. Throw away what I’m chasing after.” I just started bawling. Praise God for knowing my heart and knowing what I needed to hear right now. I pray that He fills my heart with what HE sees that matters and the happiness and joy of each day now instead of worrying about the future.

  • Just enjoyed a FANTASTIC show in Hollidaysburg on Thursday Nov. 30… we were ALL the was front right against the speakers my 9 year old sons first concert (FAVORITE ARTIST too, he was glowing all night) We got home and William said ” MOM HE POINTED AT ME AND SMILED!!!!” He has been giddy and just on cloud 9 for days now, he brought a BALL of confetti home.. This song has so much packed into it just life in general along with my 9 year old I also have a 22 year old and soon to be 20 year old and it went by SOO fast I feel like I missed it and for a lot of it I was a stay home mom.. Thank you for making my 9 year olds night and for your testimony… and sharing all you did over covid it was a joy.

  • I heard this song on the radio and I came back to it because being a young person in this world is hard sometimes. And I felt like I was chasing after so many things about my future and not focusing on the now. This might sound silly but I just started perusal stranger things and I want to meet millie bobby brown by going to stranger con. It was a bit expensive but I was going to use my Christmas money for it. Then I realized I was chasing after too many things and focusing on many other things when I should take time to be in the moment. God told me to listen to this song and that I should wait to tell this pandemic is over to get tickets so my parents won’t worry about it even though it is next summer. Now I realize what God was saying and I will wait till 2022 when things are better and more stable. Thank you for reading this God bless you and your family.

  • i will not be scared jesus i will not be fearfull jesus i will not be scared jesus i will not be ashamed jesus i will not be forsaken jesus i will not be shaken jesus i will not be moved jesus i will not be anxious jesus i will not be fooled jesus i will not be neglected jesus i will not be denied jesus i will not be embarresed jesus i will not be offended jesus i will not be bitter jesus i will not be sour jesus i will not be hateful jesus i will not be ungrateful jesus amen

  • I have been suffering so deeply. It is affecting my life with my family at such a profound level. I have been bound by crippling anxiety for the majority of my life. Since Covid, I have all but completely stopped living. I had Covid Oct. 2020, was extremely blessed to recover with no major issues 🙏🏼 It was scary, but God got me through it. I fear getting it again, I fear my kids getting it when they start school in a few days. They will be in 7th and 10th grade. My husband is a grocery manager. Most days I struggle to leave my house… I am grasping at everything I can reach just to get through every day. Sleep is a welcome escape. I heard this song today. At first I wasn’t REALLY listening. I know the song.. but I was just singing the words… as we do. Then it grabbed me. I have to do this, for my kids. I don’t know what’s going to happen… but they need me to be present, and I’m not here even when I’m here. Please pray for me, if anyone else is struggling please know you’re not alone. Prayers for you all

  • This song is a warning that self ambition is not in the will of God. And Satan can redirect our attention to our desires instead of God’s desire. Which equals, ” missing what you have for me. ” I heard this song several times on the radio and just yesterday I really listen to the lyrics. I’m about to miss what God has for me. Because I’m not living in the moment of what he wants me to focus and pray and live about and for. Like he said in the song life passes us, we get old. Family, grows up and moved on. But heaven is what we should be focused and living to see the master. Awesome spiritual awakening and warning song! Can you imagine there are people every second missing out what God has for them because of side track self ambition. Wake up saints. I know this song just did me.

  • Woke up with this song in my head .. it is wonderful that the Holy Spirit can use great music to speak what we we need. You cannot live in what you’re going to do tomorrow or fret over yesterday. In your senior years you don’t want to be thinking what you did or didn’t do yesterday. The Bible says, “THIS is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad it!” For some of us that takes a great deal of courage because things aren’t always perfect. But enjoy what God has put in your life today cuz like the song says you get “one shot one try”. You are HIS precious workmanship and HE wants every day of your life to have a meaning and a purpose. Go out on the street and share the love of Jesus with your neighbor or even a stranger. You’re never too old or too young to do this.. kiss your family a lot, ask questions and pay attention. They need all of you. Give God your first fruits each day, listen to great music like this and love your family even in the tough times. Blessings upon all the eyes and the ears that see and listen to this article and upon the Jeremy Camp family. Amen

  • I heard this song on the radio yesterday… I honestly thought the radio didn’t even exist anymore… 😮 (I was in a Coma a few years back) 😢 I just recently achieved a job working on cars down the street… Obviously, this has brought me closer to vehicles… I was driving home yesterday from having a cavity filled at the VA… My demeanor was so low on the way home! I hate teeth… I had bad thoughts and a bad attitude… Then this song came on the radio, and my entire Vibe was changed! My wife grabbed my right hand, and I know exactly where this came from! Thanks again, God!

  • Keep me in the moment ( English lyrics) I’ve been thinking ’bout time and where does it go How can I stop my life from passing me by, I don’t know I’ve been thinking ’bout family and how it’s going so fast Will I wake up one morning just wishing that I could go back? I’ve been thinking ’bout lately, maybe I can make a change and let you change me So, with all of my heart this is my prayer Singing oh Lord, keep me in the moment Help me live with my eyes wide open ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me Singing oh Lord, show me what matters Throw away what I’m chasing after ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me (what you have for me) Keep me in the moment Oh, keep me in the moment Keep me in the moment ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me (oh) When I wake up in the morning Lord, search my heart Don’t let me stray I just wanna stay where you are All I got is one shot, one try One go around in this beautiful life Nothing is wasted when everything’s placed in your hands Singing oh Lord, keep me in the moment Help me live with my eyes wide open ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me (what you have for me) Singing oh Lord, show me what matters Throw away what I’m chasing after ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me (what you have for me) Keep me in the moment (keep me in the moment) Lord keep me in the moment (keep me in the moment) Keep me in the moment ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me I’ve been thinking about heaven And the promise you hold So, it’s all eyes on you Until the day you call me home Singing oh Lord, keep me in the moment Help me live with my eyes wide open ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me (I don’t wanna miss, I don’t wanna miss) Singing oh Lord, show me what matters Throw away what I’m chasing after (oh) ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me (yeah) Keep me in the moment Oh, keep me in the moment Keep me in the moment ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me Keep me in the moment (keep me in the moment) Oh, keep me in the moment (keep me in the moment) Keep me in the moment ‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me (what you have for me) Source: Musixmatch

  • Always put your trust in the Lord! You can go 40 days with out food. 3 days with out water, and 8 minutes without air. But you can’t go a single second without GOD. Amen! Christ will remain never changing forever and ever. Ps Jeremy Camp if you see this it’s comeing from the girl you met at Evangel church in September and my name was Graycie!

  • I just heard this song this morning and love it, i kept asking Google to repeat the song while i was getting ready for work. I just wanted to hear it over and over. I couldn’t wait to get to work to watch the article. This Song is so Amazing! It’s Perfect, especially with everything that is going on in the world right now. These words are so powerful. “Oh Lord Keep Me In The Moment, Help me live with my eyes wide open, cause I don’t wanna miss what you have for me”. This year is 2020 and to me, 2020 signifies a Perfect Vision, a Crystal Clear Vision. I’ve been praying for God to help me see things from his perspective and to use me to Glorify him. Family and Friends are very important, so we need to enjoy every moment that we have with them. Oh Lord Keep Me in the Moment…. Thank you Jeremy for Blessing us with your Beautiful Music.

  • I love this song! Let us all be reminded that chasing that big house and fancy car was NEVER part of GODS PLAN! God 1st, people 2nd… nothing else matters. God will provide all you need, and then some, if you just trust in him instead of taking on these massive debts so that we can say we provided for ourselves. NONE of those things matters! The only things that really matter are knowing and loving your Creator, receiving and worshipping your Savior and appreciating the people God put around you and treating them with love and kindness. Do those things and don’t worry about anything else… you will be surprised how much God will do for you, when you TRULY put Him first!

  • I remember when my sister and I were younger I rarely spent time with her because I had cancer. Sometimes I wish I could go back and change that. But then I see pictures of us and then I remember the times I did get to spend with her and it makes me cry because we need to cherish the moments we have with each other. Because in no time those moments are gone.

  • Keep me in the moment help me live with my eyes wide open cause I don’t wanna miss what yoo have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what you have for me singing oh lord show me what you have for me singing oh lord show me what you have for the moment help me live with my eyes wide open cause I don’t wanna miss what yoo have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have for me singing oh lord show me what matters this away what you have

  • I just have ACL and barely walk due to pain and unstableness of my knees. Keeping me in the moment where God is still within me is really what i want right now and reveal what matters and His plan for me eventhough i don’t know why He let this thing for me. All i know is He has something for me. Bigger purpose than this pain. ☺️💯

  • Such a message for our time and season, greatly appreciate the relationships in my life at home church on the job, we all have the same fight, that we may understand it’s not against flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness, rulers of darkness, our relationship with Him going make and be the difference in our lives, what I cherish the most of all the one I have with the Lord Jesus Christ, great message Mr Camp

  • God…I am really struggling over here. I don’t see what you have for me. I need you to show me. I gave up my whole life trying to help him save his. It cost me mine 😔. Please let this be the last lesson I need too learn. I understand what is important now. Loyalty and Family. I am wasting my time chasing after anything else. I don’t wake up wishing to go back. I want to go on whatever path you choose. You pulled me out right in the nick of Time, and saved me. Please keep me in the moment of acceptance and always keep me humble. I can’t stay quiet God….not this Time. I am learning which battles and people are worth my Time, and worth fighting for. I pray to you every night that someday someone fights for me….besides you. Amen. 💛🌻💛🌻

  • Do you ever get depressed because of the passage of time? Not that every day isn’t a gift and I need to focus on that. But just yesterday my brother was a baby and I was walking him around the living room sofa to put him to bed. Now he’s 14 and going to home coming. Where does the time go? I’m so scared to even sleep. I don’t want to miss ANYTHING

  • Love this song.I just lost my husband and best friend of 36 years to cancer, and Im so glad we loved and appreciated each other and took time to spend together.Im thankful we had the last 10 years doing ministry together along with our sons. Those 36 years went by so fast. Please take time for the others in your life,so you won’t suffer from regret later!

  • You never know how powerful a song is until it hits your soul. I am a former addict and if it wasn’t for God giving me a second change by giving me another daughter… I wouldn’t be able to be kept in the moments I live now as I march along in my sober life of being clean this month on the 20th will make 4 years clean. I am shaking as I type his because it means so much to me that God gave me that chance some don’t get to see.

  • I am so thankful God has blessed us believers with such a creative thoughtful Christian composer like Jeremy Camp. Your real and you are who you are. I don’t have to second guess if your a Christian artist trying to go mainstream or like some fake Christian singers that never use the word Jesus during any of there songs. This article is very simple yet deep and really puts the most important things in perspective. God bless all the Christian singers who help there fellow Christian Brothers and sisters in motivating us to continue to worship our father in heaven and savior on earth what an awesome savior we have. God bless America

  • This song hits home.. I’m one of only three members left in my immediate family of six.. When I was in my teens and twenties, time didn’t pass fast enough.. Now, I am three years away from fifty.. And it feels that I wished almost half of my life away.. It is very, vital to learn to live in the here and now.. To appreciate the time that you have left with your loved ones, before your time with them becomes a distant memory..

  • Every day wake up and tell someone you love them and tell some one how thankfull you are to have them around hug your kids everyday they will only be kids for a time. Where only here for a moment in time a spec of time really. So many people go through life with out ever relizing they miss what GOD had for them.

  • Life is a spiritual journey allowing us to embrace the sunshine and inhale the smell of Pine trees. As we are blessed to have the health and ability to explore this amazing earth created by God. Thankful to rejoice with our family and friends. Grateful beyond measure that God allowed you the opportunity to pray with them, share, laugh, love, and embrace them while they are still physically here. I value the unconditional love and support my beloved mother JoLynn wholeheartedly bestowed on me. And l am grateful and thankful for her being the vessel that brought me into this world. She passed December 12 2019 succumbing to complications while battling lupus. I deeply miss her! Please don’t hesitate to spend as many moments as you can and value your loved ones for you are blessed beyond measure to have the ability to make more memories. Mama l will be welcomed by your beautiful face when l enter eternal life and marvel at the wonders of Heaven with you holding my hand! I can only imagine.

  • I have been listening to JC for years. Great song!!! Jeremy Camp you rock!! GOD Bless you!! Everyone out there stay safe and pray because during these times we all need faith. Jesus Christ will watch over the world he’s our savior. Even though life will be difficult we can overcome any challenge if we believe and give GOD the glory!!

  • 🌺That was a beautiful song! I was just thinking to myself how I’m missing out on my two amazing, handsome, smart, strong beautiful boys grow up. I wish I could go back in time and fix things to where I never lost my boys. Every day is a fight and I will never stop fighting to get my precious sons back. It’s on the Lords time. Ever though a lawyer I got robbed me of $2,000 .I will not give up. I will keep moving forward cuz my life is with my boys💞 I don’t want to miss a moment 🦋 🍃thank you for picking me to send the song to and whoever else God bless you and your family 🌷🍃

  • Hello, well I wanted to tell you that JESUS LOVES YOU, and wants to transform your life, understand and never forget, you are very special to GOD, so seek the LORD, read and get to know the bible, because behind it, you will meet JESUS and you will understand that the love of CHRIST JESUS is EVERYTHING, I say EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN THIS WHOLE WORLD, and ONLY JESUS can change your life, your story.\r \r Stay with GOD, and GOD BLESS YOU!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG…🙌🏻💓🙌🏻 it’s become my new favorite praise song-for it says everything I’d want to say… Lord, Keep in the moment, help me live with my eyes wide open…🙌🏻❤🙌🏻 Cause I don’t want to miss what YOU have for me. Singing Oh Lord show me what matters-🙌🏻❤🙌🏻 Throw away what I’m chasing after Lord keep me in the moment… In Jesus Holy Name AMEN

  • Yes Lord, keep me in the moment I don’t want to miss what You have for me. Ooh Holy Spirit, show me what matters. This song goes deeper in my soul every day especially when I’m having alone time with God that when I can feel His presence through this song. May the Almighty blessed you as you continue to bless our hearts and homes with inspirational songs.🙏🙏❤❤ this song is one of my favorites on KTIS❤

  • Keep me in the moment Help me live with my eyes wide open Cause I don’t want to miss what you have for me Just those words alone speaks to your heart. When you wake up, these are the words that comes up. Listen to what God is speaking in your heart. Keep me in the moment, cause I don’t want to miss what you have for me!

  • Great song, first time I’m hearing this! Love your music Jeremy Camp. It moves me. I think Covid-19 has really helped us to keep in the moment and definitely take one day at a time. No one knows what tomorrow will bring so just learn to thank God for the day we have, and make the best of it. I’m choosing peace in the mist of this storm.❤️

  • I’m so grateful that he has such a supportive wife. Being the “second” wife and supporting him about a movie about his first wife just shows how much faith and belief she has in Jeremys story of loss and hope. I’m so excited about this movie because I grew up seeing Jeremy in concert talking about his first wife. It’s so fitting in my life because now that I’m older I have gained more understanding about faith and loss and hope so this movie really is hitting home for me. I think it does for a lot of his fans who grew up listening to him in high school. There’s this community of people who grew up with Jeremy and his journey and I’m glad to be part of it.

  • Jeremy Camp lost his wife. Steven Curtis Chapman lost his daughter. TobyMac lost his son. Bart Millard of MercyMe was physically abused. Michael W Smith struggled with drugs. Mark Stuart of Audio Adrenaline lost his voice, his band, and his marriage. So many Christian artists have been through so much.

  • I lost a husband after 7 months of marriage. I was and is a single mother for all my life until I met Jeremy. He was my first husband and I lost him, I thought that God just gave me a taste of what it was to be a wife for only 7 months. I was devastated but never lost my faith in God. I was angry but still had and continue to have faith in God’s love and grace. Thank you for sharing

  • Adie Camp must be wise enough to know that, because he did love Melissa so much, this was very painful to go thru. Telling the story is a way of healing. It’s therapy for him. He needed to do this. He was there for Melissa, and walked her thru deaths door, then Adie came into his life and helped him heal. Yah always knows who to bring into your life at the right time. He always has a plan, even if we don’t understand it at the time!

  • God bless you Jeremy Camp! To those reading, I am a “second wife”, and my marriage has and is still going through many struggles. Need many prayers, especially, for God to be the center of our marriage. I must say, though, there is something a “second wife” experiences that is unique. There are many times I have witnessed the amazing healings powers of our Lord not only physically, but also spiritually, with an abundance of grace and forgiveness.

  • Jeremy, I love you. I fell in love with your story, your music and you when I was about 12. Back then I didn’t even know how your pain would help me heal mine. When I was 16 I went through a really hard grieving process, that just like you, involved not only death, but also loss of love. I thought he was the love of my life. I was so angry at God, and so hurt, and then I remembered you lost your wife Melissa. And your story helped me through the pain. You and your wife Adrienne are true heroes for me. I love you and I hope this movie is a total success!

  • We lost my younger brother in September 2019, and I lost my mother at a young age and my three brothers and family still have a hard time with this. We were young. I pray my family and everyone gets to see this movie! I cried all through it, but it is so inspirational! Thank you, Jeremy You are a shining star! Kathy

  • I can’t wait to see this movie with my Girlfriend when it comes to my local theater on March 12th….. I have begun thinking of trying to organize to get my church’s youth group together to also go see the movie and then have a prayer group/meeting afterward. I really wish the world would make/create A LOT more of these inspirational “True” stories into movies, The world needs it!!!

  • Never understood people’s expectation that they won’t experience the same pain, struggle and disappointment that non-believers experience, especially in light of John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Reality meets promise.

  • I saw the commercial several times and I plan on seeing the movie soon but the first time I heard those words Britt (Melissa) said about if a persons life is changed by what she goes through it would all be worth it, it instantly impacted me and motivated me to think differently about my disability and what I go through everyday.

  • Watched it… tears flowed.. God bless… My Stepson is 24yr old non verbal. even parents of autistic kids have no real idea what its like for the parents of a non verbal child… His Mum has Chronic kidney disease with only 9% function of her only kidney.. I have chronic pain syndrome and a double dose chronic fatigue… But I know that the father of all lives holds this planet… but Jesus is near… “I still Believe”…. Thank you for sharing you and Melissa’s story…

  • I appreciate you sharing this, and to both of you for sharing your heart and story. I lost my dad to cancer, then suicide, and yes, people have said to me many times, to get over it and to move on. Although you can push, and try to move on, the scar is still there. I liked what you said, “the new normal.” I struggle a lot when perusal movies, as these “triggers”, these moments and memories pop up. It is a good reminder that it is okay to feel that way, as you heal through your scars and experiences. Jeremy Camp’s story is powerful, and my heart truly goes out to him and Addie. The Lord definitely used your life through your music, to help bring healing to others like me.

  • Só much recognition! My husband died 7,5 months ago and I am getting used to ‘the new normal’. Those are exactly the same words I use. My reaction on the loss and the grief was: I still believe! The gratefulness for Gods grace and faithfulness kept and keeps me going, knowing that my husband of 42 years is in a far better place right now and God is guiding me, holding me, comforting me. Can’t wait to see the movie!

  • So encouraging! I love Jeremy’s openness and desire to lift up others struggling with pain to know they are not alone. And how he’s found happiness with a strong woman of God who is strong and stands beside him in their journey. Hoping to watch this movie. Blessings to the family! Beautiful children, God does restore!

  • Brother’s and sister’s? Please please pray for me. I’m in a really dark place.im severely struggling in my walk with the lord. My friend’s and family have always looked to me for spiritual encouragement and guidance. But I feel like I don’t have faith any more. Mind you I’m not perfect? But I’ve always trusted the lord and encouraged people in him.but I feel like everyone else prospers and here I’m ending up getting thr short end of the stick if even that? Please dont look at me as evil.ive just fallen so far away from god and I really need godly wisdom and encouragement. Thank you

  • To be able to be in love twice in your life can only be a testament to what god is capable of giving us❤️ He was a man of complete faith and that faith has led him to this glorious life till he goes home to be with our father in heaven ! I 💯 believe Melissa is smiling down from heaven on him and his beautiful family❤️

  • I really need to see this movie. In June 2017, I lost my 24-yr-old son after a year-long battle with cancer. Just 3 weeks earlier, my then husband (not his father) told me he wanted out, saying he didn’t feel appreciated enough and would file for divorce if I didn’t promise to change. Needless to say, I let him file. Then a few months ago, I lost my job. I am SO grateful that I have my Faith to cling to but I still feel so much pain, I don’t know how it’s going to get better. Maybe it’s too soon for me to expect the progress I see in the lives of others who have walked in my shoes. And maybe the fact that it’s my child who died, not having the chance to become a father or even a husband. He became a Christian just a couple days before finding out he had cancer, so I thought God would use his story and heal him, but He didn’t. Losing a child just seems to add another sharp edge to an already painful and tragic experience. I hope restoration starts soon for me. 💔😇

  • I look forward to seeing this film. Having felt loss myself, Jeremy is right-conversation is not necessary when someone is grieving. If you don’t know what to say, that’s okay. Saying “I’m so sorry” is perfectly fine. Also giving a hug or holding a hand makes a person not feel so alone. Thank you, Jeremy, for sharing your journey. God brought Melissa into your life because she needed you and you needed her, to bring you where you are today. 👆🙏❤️

  • You are very lucky Jeremy! I had even worse, lost the girl just 20days before our marriage in May 2002. She was also an angel who made me a better person. Whatever you said in the interview happens for me as well. I am happy for you to find a girl that could understand you but I am not as lucky as you are! I hope you take care of her so well.

  • Thank you for sharing your story. I have not seen the movie yet, but I heard about it. God is still working through your first wife, second wife and you. This movie is going to resonate with so many people out there, that is going to make a change in their lives. They could come to Christ and the believers could get stronger in their faith because of your testimony. Praise Jesus!🙏🙏❤️

  • This is such an amazing story. God blessed this wonderful man with 2 amazing, strong, and beautiful wives with beautiful souls. May God bless him and his beautiful family w/an abundance of peace, happiness, joy, and great health. And may his first wife Rest In Peace knowing they are sharing all of their testimonies!! 🙏🏻❤️😇

  • This was a beautiful movie in every aspect! I have watched it three times and each time I got something different from it! Almost like something that I needed spiritually and each viewing made me realize what these things were. Got chills at 16:37 when he said, “New Normal”. With everything the world is going through right now it is so reflective of just how true Jeremy’s faith is. 7 months after this interview the entire world is now learning to live a “New Normal”. Proves that pain is universal. However, with faith we find that it is somehow necessary. God Bless🙏💖

  • My friend and I went to see the movie Sunday!? I didn’t know anything about this story. But thank you Jesus for sharing your testimony.,we cried and I said, I can’t imagine how you felt perusal your story being replayed. And now I know after perusal your testimony! God bless you and your family, God has a Jeremiah 29:11 for you ❤️👌👏🙌👍🕊📖🙏‼️

  • I’m not married, but I can not imagine what either of these people went through with losing their spouses so soon, or anyone else for that matter who’s been in this situation. I’ve lost several family members in my almost 25 years of life and he’s right, the grief really doesn’t go away completely. He put it very well, that it’s like a wound that almost heals, but then something/someone comes along and it triggers that grief all over again.

  • This movie just reminds us that God is faithful to us all and that when we pray for intervention we may not always agree with the answers that God gives us but he did heal her as his answer was to take her home with him to free her from the pain of this world and to use her story to bring others to knowing and having a Love and understanding of God’s Love and Grace for us all. Amen

  • Iam not Christian, but I was drawn to this movie when my partner was sick. He has a heart condition and had been in hospital for a while. I thought I might loose him. I first heard the song I still believe and was so overwhelmed by it, was like the song was written for me cos the words were exactly how I was feeling. Eventually I watched the movie and it hit home big time. I knew right there that what was happening had nothing to do with me and i needed to be faithful to God and trust in him and pray for my partner to be healed. The emotions I felt after perusal the movie and listening to all Jeremy Camps songs are something I cannot describe, it’s beautiful and speaks to my soul.My partner now is recovering and ok and I thank God everyday for protecting him and keeping our love protected. It’s a beautiful movie, and its true, it touched my heart and life amazingly so. Melissa’s dream became a reality. If her story could touch just one life it would be all worthwhile and it touched mine big time it gave me the courage to not give up and never stop believing in God. I had nothing to give my partner except all my prayers and love which helped him. Thank you Lord.

  • When I was in high school I fell in love with a beautiful young man whom later became my dear friend, when we were 25 years old he got killed, I never told him I loved him. The wound has healed since it’s been 9 years. Till this day God hasn’t given me a man to love for marriage do us part but I know that God is loving and faithful 🥰❤️🙌👑🙏🌻💖 I really appreciate Kelly and Jeremy for sharing your story with me here tonight. 🤗

  • Tonight my prayer is for peace and prosperity love and health as we go back to Chicago tomorrow for another surgery with Amanda ❤️. Please be sovereign in the life of her care and your understanding . Protect her and give her recovery and reunite with family and life she loves ❤️ amen, woman and child 💕

  • 11:17-11:50 What a powerful moment, god… I’m depressed and am allergic to medicine and the rule in my country (which is borderline criminal if you ask me) says that you can’t be in therapy without medication and I don’t have money to pay for private counseling so I just have to deal with it on my own. One of the hardest things for me, or the hardest thing for me at the moment is communicating on the most basic level, because it takes so much energy from me to start a conversation, especially about how I feel and what I need, and the second the other person reacts in a way I didn’t expect or don’t like I shut down again and close off completely. I only give one chance to anything these days, and that moment of realization and connection and the raw, open, non apologetic emotion from Jeremy when you talked about your husband and Melissa is just extraordinary for me to watch because being open takes so much more courage than extroverted and confident people realize, especially when you’re depressed and have anxiety as severe as mine (just for example, my 11 year old cousin and his autistic 13 year old brother both didn’t respond to my texts today, and I, 29, have anxiety thinking something is wrong even though I know it’s probably nothing) and as a Jewish girl and a Jewish believer I cannot resist my own faith enough to relate to everything he says, but I’m so stricken by Jeremy’s ability to be vulnerable and his willingness to be present to teach others and help others it’s just beautiful to watch, and this moment moved me to tears because after perusal this and looking into his beautiful eyes, it gave me strength to give life a second chance and wake up tommorow and try to be open just once.

  • Amazing movie and such a powerful testimony of the power of God And a good reminder we may not understand what God is doing at this time but He does and we gotta trust that. This is a temporary time and soon the struggles of this time will be a past memory and true life with God is coming 😀😃 Be blessed and share this interview and the movie trailer

  • Our real stories minister to people. Christians, we should stop hiding but testify using our struggles. This April 15 will be 13 years since a doctor told my Mom I had the test results of a dead person. For Mom, it has been 20 years since God pulled her from her deathbed where everyone was preparing her for her exit. God pulled us from death and each day, we can’t wait to see more of His faithfulness.

  • I did not realize that Jeremy’s second wife was with Benjamin Gate. I still have a hat from them (I got in trouble with my Christian School for the logo being a gas mask), and I still have a picture that I remember really clearly of me with them when I was in high school, probably about 15 or 16. Maybe around 2000. How weird.

  • I can testify to that, it had me balling. Also? I’m a guitar player myself, and some years ago it was prophesied to me that I’m gonna play and write music for the lord. Not bragging at all? But be on the radio? Have concerts and lead so many to the lord. But I’m at a crossroads? Cuz I’ve tried writing songs, but I have some mental issues and I’ve let that get in the way. And now I can’t help but wonder? Has God given up on me in regards to that and passed that calling to someone else? If you guys can please pray for me with that and everything else? If any of you can give me encouragement? Advice? And tell me your own stories? I’d love to hear them. God bless you all

  • I’ve never cried so bad in a movie in a long time thank you Jeremy Camp @jeremycampofficial for sharing your story If you haven’t seen this yet it’s a must watch along with I can only imagine it is so touching I was in tears good job on the movie I loved it. 😭 #istillbelievemovie #icanonlyimagine #jeremycamp #mercyme #likeforlikes @jeremycampofficial @themercyme 🙁 can’t wait to purchase the book

  • Hi everyone I just saw the movie and I have a few questions but I’m going to lower it to this question for now. During a scene he is giving a concert and he is telling the audience about the story of a woman that was really sick and she reached out over the crowds to touch Jesus Christ and she was healed. Can someone please tell me what story he’s talking about?

  • We’re told to raise our children up in the way they should go admonishing correcting them, As leaders Shepherd’s pastors we have a similar responsibility to point out what God has told us in his word what is beneficial what is not, Lotta crazy stuff going on in the world not talking about it I think there’s a little bit of sin of omission for me if I don’t lovingly and mindfully point out what God says clearly in his word

  • Our testimonies are seeds that will be watered by God. It is so vital to share our stories with others so they can see and understand the HOPE we have. The enemies veil is thick on this world, but God is so powerful. We must be unafraid to share the gospel with others. In line at the grocery store, in a clothing store, a walk on the street, at work, in a car with a friend. No matter where we are at, seize the opportunity because MILLIONS are unaware and think of God as some mythical character. Be the old church, brothers and sisters. Be the salt of the earth! 44″But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46″For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47″If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Matthew 5: 44-47

  • WHEN MY HUSBAND AND LITTLE BOY WERE DIEING….MANY CHRISTIONS SAID THAT I DID NOT PRAY RIGHT!!!!…..OR THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN HEALED!!!!…..JEREMY YOUR SONGS HELPED ME!!!!…..WITH MEDICAL BILLS I LOST MY HOUSE!!!!….I AM 66 AND LIVE IN MY CAR NOW!!!!….I STILL BELIEVE!!!!!!…..BUT HAVE NOT GONE BACK TO CHURCH…..TO MANY PEOPLE SHUND ME….JESUS NEVER LEFT ME!!!…..!BUT IS HARD TO GET OUT OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH…..PLEASE CHRISTIANS DO NOT JUDGE ME BECAUSE MY HUSBAND AND LITTLE BOY MATTHEW WERE NOT HEALED!!!!THANK YOU AGAIN JERMY!!!!…..YOU KEPT ME FROM SUICIDE!!!!

  • I want to make public that here in Italy the movie has been totally “DE-christianized”, LIONSGATE’s Italian division eliminated every single reference about God from the dialogues and also cut off some very important scenes, making this movie a normal secular movie… Italian Christians are mad at this.
