When Will Jesus Come For His Bride?

Jesus Christ will come for His bride, the church, and escort her to heaven, where He will present her as pure and spotless. At His second coming, Jesus will return to earth with His bride to celebrate the marriage supper. The bride is prepared for His glorious appearing, and if we desire to be part of that Bride, we should do as the apostle Paul did. Scripture also promises a final reunion between Jesus Christ and His bride, the church. When Christ returns in the prophesied Second Coming, He will celebrate with the church at the rapture, where the official “wedding ceremony” will take place, and the eternal union of Christ and His bride will be actualized. Jesus left the earth, the home of the Church, and returned to His Father’s house in heaven after establishing the new covenant and risen from the dead. The idea of being “caught up” is embraced in the word rapture, or snatched up, and this is what will occur at the time of Christ’s coming for His church. The bride of Christ, or the lamb’s wife, is a metaphor used in the Christian Bible, specifically the New Testament, the Gospels, the Book of Revelation, the Epistles, and the Old Testament.

The Bride of Christ is the new city that comes down from heaven, also known as the New Jerusalem. It is the Father who chooses the Bride for His Son, and Jesus emphasizes that no one can come to Him unless it has been granted to them by His Father. The bride of the Son of God or the Messiah is the bride of the Lamb, and the church members are encouraged to be faithful and ready for the glorious day in which they will be united with Jesus Christ and live in harmony with Him.

Jesus will come for His Church, known as the Rapture, before establishing His kingdom on earth. The dead in Christ will be raised and a bride is prepared to wear fine linen, bright, and clean. The church is encouraged to be faithful and ready for the glorious day in which they will be united with Jesus Christ and live in harmony with Him.

The Bible speaks of a marriage between Jesus Christ and His Bride, and Jesus never married while on the earth. The marriage supper will take place on earth after the rapture, and the bride will be prepared for the wedding.

What happens when Jesus attends a wedding?

Jesus attends a wedding where He performs His first miracle: turning water into wine. This is symbolic of His transformation of human rituals into divine sacrifice. Few people are even aware that a miracle has occurred.

ESVWhen the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”

NIVWhen the wine was gone, Jesus mother said to him, They have no more wine.

NASBWhen the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, They have no wine.

Is Jesus coming to get his bride?

The Lord spoke to his heart: This, my son, is what it will be like when I come to take my bride home. In an instant my bride will vanish from the earth as they will be caught up to meet me in the air at the last trumpet. Maranatha, Oh Lord, come!

To our beloved readers: Peace, grace, comfort and love in Jesus Christ our Lord. My heart is focused on the soon return of our Lord and king.

In the gospel of Matthew 24:44 NIV, we read: “So you also must be ready, because the son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

Beloved, are we ready to meet Jesus in the air and begin our eternal journey in heaven? As we pray The Lord’s Prayer, in Matthew 6:9-10 NIV: “Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” We are stating that we are in “boot camp,” so to speak, here on earth, while we walk in the kingdom of Christ on earth. Each of us who believes on the son of God, is born from above. We are new creations in Christ; the old life has passed away, and we are walking not in the lust of our flesh, but following the lead of the Holy Spirit of God in our lives.

Where does Jesus say we are his bride?

The Church as the Bride in Ephesians 5:22-33:. The Church is called the Bride of Christ and Christ is declared the Head of the Church, His Bride. *As individual believers and as the Church we have an intimate relationship with Christ. This is a relationship that is closer than an earthly husband and wife relationship. Jesus is the Leader and Director and Guide for us, the Bride of Christ. Jesus is the perfect Husband and as such He nurtures, protects, and provides for us. He has a vision to see us perfected, having no spot or blemish or wrinkle or any such thing. He is the Husband who habitually and unswervingly acts for our wellbeing. *The corporate Church, as the Bride of Christ, must be subject to Him. *”To be subject” means to voluntarily give the right to direct us and influence us. We can rebelliously refuse to be directed and influenced by Jesus. That is both sinful and foolish. It is clearly in our best interests to give to Him full direction of our lives and give Him full influence over our lives. To submit to Him does not diminish us, it increases us. To submit to Him does not rob us, it enriches us.

Is Jesus coming back for his spotless bride?

“The end is to begin with God dealing with a judgement of the House of God first. He is coming back for a blameless and spotless Bride (His Church). There can be losers or winners, but He will find things in favor of His Church. ‘O, Lord, judge me and count me as righteous,” offered Pastor Melton. “We already know the world blames the virus on the Church. How could that be?

“The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time.”

“Church, you carry burdens, but it is so much better to swap them out with the burden of the LORD, soul-winning. In the lean times and the hard times I learn through great persecution. I am the Bride of Christ. He keeps me safe! The devil is a ‘paper tiger, when he growls, the Lord Jesus stands up from His Throne and our Lion of Judah roars! Be sober, alert and aware, the enemy is coming for the Church. Stay in the Hand of God. No one can take us out of His Hand! Be not disheartened. Keep in relationship and know His Voice. Look up! He does care so much!

How does God prepare his bride?

Jesus is cleansing and preparing his bride to be spotless, pure and holy; and we are getting ourselves ready for the marriage of the Lamb. This involves being open to and receiving the washing of his living word. And it involves the “righteous acts” of the saints. We must not only receive the implanted word, but also allow it to grow in our hearts to a harvest of right actions—the works he has called us to walk in (Eph. 2:10).

(James 1:21 NKJV) Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

Our Lord and head of the church is definitely fulfilling his responsibility in preparing the church to be glorious; he is speaking to us, and thus quickening his word to be the living word in our hearts. Jesuss preparation of the glorious bride implies both its quality and quantity. So, from his side, both genuine growth in numbers and sanctification to purity come through the action of the word:

Did Jesus say you can remarry?

  • Jesus gives permission for someone to remarry when adultery has taken place. “And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”9 Here, the phrase “and marries another” raises the issue of remarriage. Jesus states that divorcing a mate on the grounds of immorality frees the offended mate to remarry without committing adultery.
  • Paul upholds the idea of permanency in marriage10, whether it be to a believer or unbeliever, yet gives permission for a believing mate to separate if deserted by an unbeliever. Paul states, “Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave
  • the brother or sister is not under bondage (no longer bound) in such cases, but God has called us to peace.”11 According to Paul, because desertion severs the marital bonds an abandoned believer is not commanded to stay in this marriage. An implication of the marriage bonds being severed is that remarriage is possible, but we must acknowledge that remarriage is not specifically addressed by Paul in this passage.

So, based on the above passages, remarriage following a biblical divorce for adultery seems explicitly permitted by Christ, and remarriage following a biblical divorce for abandonment by a non-believing spouse may be permitted as an implication of the teaching of Paul. The elders recognize that among orthodox evangelical churches there are conflicting interpretations of scripture concerning the possibility of remarriage in the case of biblical divorces. As such, we do not assert that any particular interpretation is binding upon the consciences of our members.

At the same time, the elders urge every member who is contemplating remarriage, an act which will likely cut off any possibility of reconciling with a former spouse, to patiently wrestle with this possible step through prayer and study of these scriptures, seeking Gods wisdom and direction and the counsel of pastors and elders. In this process, the Lord may affirm a life of singleness in His service which He commends as a good thing and empowers some individuals to enjoy, or He may provide the peace that remarriage is what is best. Ultimately, if an offended mate chooses, in consultation with and the concurrence of the elders, to pursue either singleness or biblical remarriage, the church and its elders commit to fully embrace, love and support them in that pursuit. This includes our pastors officiating at weddings of those pursuing a remarriage following a biblical divorce.

What was Jesus’ last name?

And foretold about in the Jewish faith. So Christ in this case functions more like a title as in Jesus The Anointed One or Jesus the Messiah rather than his last name.

Where in the Bible does it say Jesus will come for his bride?

Jesus paid a price for His bride, the church (Mark 10:45). Someday, He will come for His bride and escort her to heaven, where He will present her to Himself as pure and spotless (John 14:1–3; Ephesians 5:25–27). At His second coming Jesus will return to earth with His bride to celebrate the marriage supper.

ESVLet us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;

NIVLet us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

NASBLet’s rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has prepared herself.

How does Jesus see his bride?

He not only chose her (despite her sin) and cherishes her (despite her sin), but he also is cleansing her from her sin. He died to both secure his bride and to sanctify her, to make her holy (Ephesians 5:26). And he rose, and lives, to cleanse her “by the washing of water with the word” (Ephesians 5:26). Do our words echo his? Do we join him in washing her, cleansing her, sanctifying her, building her up with our words? Or do we oppose him, insult her, sully her, tear her down by the spirit we harbor and the words we speak in the world and post on the web?

The day is coming when Jesus will “present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish” (Ephesians 5:27) — when all will see “the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband” (Revelation 21:2). Christ is preparing his church for the wedding, purging sin, adorning his bride for that day when she will be presented to him, and every eye will see her, at last, in unparalleled majesty.

Hard Words of Love. Here we might ask about Jesuss own hard words for his bride. Isnt it the Bridegroom himself who says these devastating words in Revelation 3:15–16? “I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” Love for the Bride of Christ does not mean silence about the sins of particular churches and specific saints. But it does mean that we take care how we speak about those failures.

Did Jesus allow divorce?

(Matthew 19:8-9) Jesus replied, Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery” (Matt 19:8-9, NIV).

Is Jesus referred to as the bride?

The identity of the bride is generally considered within Christian theology to be the church, with Jesus as the bridegroom; Ephesians 5:22–33 in particular compares the union of husband and wife to that of Christ and the church. It is a favorite ecclesial image.2 Interpretations of the metaphors usage vary from church to church, with most believing that it always refers to the church.

Christ as a bridegroomedit. The Gospel of John speaks of Jesus Christ as the bridegroom and mentions the bride:

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegrooms voice: thus my joy therefore is fulfilled.
