📹 6 Rules for Dating Over 50| Engaged at Any Age – Coach Jaki
In this video, I discuss 6 rules that you should follow when dating over the age of 50. 01:29:16 – #1 Don’t Bond Over Your Baggage …
I’ve not been in a relationship for ten years, and he’s not either. We are both older, mature pensioners, I’m 67, and he is 70. He wanted confirmation that we were exclusive, so I told him I didn’t want anyone else, neither of us want marriage, just to enjoy each others company. We both fancy each other, so the intimacy is great too.
Dating over 50. Well I’m 67 my wife filed for divorce, I raised our daughter then found a beautiful gal. After 10 years she passed from cancer. Now I just want a close female friend who plays guitar. Someone to go to dinner, movies or just playing our guitars at the beach. I’ve have had a great life. Peaks and valleys. Comfortably Numb and retired.
Two things 1. I want to hear a man talk a little about his ex. Then i can evaluate if he is healed from his prior relationship or if there are still strong feelings involved. 2. There is an easier and less embarrassing (for him) way to lead a conversation away from a topic than “let me intervene” (as if you are the conversation coach). Just bring something else up! The conversation will flow in the new direction.
I’m a male.. 56.. divorced 7 yrs.. and have not found a women to even date in that 7 yrs.. I am overweight.. I’ve had problems with my weight all my life.. up and down.. lose gain lose.. etc.. I’ve had problems.. lost my entire family over 25 yrs ago.. I have some health issues… no std.. but I have hearing problems… I spent 22 yrs in a career that went dead.. now I work at a job that basically only gives me enough to survive. Women don’t want me… I would love to have a loving relationship.. but no woman wants me anymore… I guess I’ll live the rest of my life alone. I haven’t had sex in 7 yrs either… so when a guy says he is single.. many men are just moving from woman to woman having sex.. then moving on.. and they consider themselves single. When I say I’m single.. I mean I haven’t as much as kissed a woman in 7 yrs.
Men over 50 are so difficult to date. They seem to be playing the short game. They can barely commit to meeting for a drink. It’s the awkward daily text “how was your day” or “TGIF”. I flirt just enough, I’m fit, I drive a sweet Lexus, I have a home and still can’t get a guy to commit to putting in some effort at this age. It’s so strange. Over 50 men want younger women or they think they want to date by signing up on dating sites but really they are just working on getting laid. It’s a bizarre age. I am so discouraged
Hey Jaki, cool article. Couple of things to run by you. My last relationship – close to 10 years ago (we went out for close to a year), then she got busted – she was married. Blew my trust big time. Last date I went on, about 2 years ago, took her out for lunch on my motorbike, whole time she was social media – where she was having lunch, no cross table conversation. Really pissed me off. I live in New Zealand, this happen else where as well?. Just about ready to give up, I feel I don’t even try anymore.
I would never have sex with a man until he has asked to be exclusive and is clear that his goal for dating is for having a relationship. Did a friends with benefits for a couple years, I never was clear what he wanted, turned out is was only a casual relationship. Very difficult break up for me, I was attached.
If I’m on a first date, I don’t know that I want to flirt with a man. I’m on a first date, not a second or third. I’m trying to figure out if I want to flirt with him. If you flirt with a guy and he turns out to do or be something you really don’t want in your life, I’d say hold off on the flirting until you’re sure. A man finds ordinary female interaction attractive as it is– you’re out here with him, and that’s already going to make him feel pretty special. If you start flirting right away, you might end up with the man thinking he’s further along and you’re further into him, than is reality, and that can have some pretty awkward consequences if he’s not what you want after all.
Congratulations💕👥🎊….Bellisima❤…great advice…I just turned 50…I am celibate y luv in it..💜.I have not been in a relationship for years y i am very happy…with respect I have not met a man in today’s world that is serious…so many players…I have been married y i feel blessed….but it is amazing the joy you have y peace as you get older…it truly is a gift…I have learned so much in my life…all lessons that have made me stronger…life is beautiful…god bless…💛🙏🌅
My type has managed to completely eliminate 4 races, the whole line up of homosexual ppl, anyone who has deformities. I am a thick female and I have been with a man who had a beer belly. He didn’t want intimacy anymore because “he had to work to hard”. His weight was his excuse not mine. If a man can’t balance his self conversation time I wouldn’t go out with him again.
Really hard to find a decent person out there who hasn’t been married several times and have crazy exes or crazy children and they all have trust issues, I think I will just occasionally casually date. I was married about 30 years and came to find out that my wife didn’t really want to be married half of that time and in many ways I didn’t either because she always was cheating but we had kids to raise and that had to come first
I got accused of sa for asking a woman out on a date a few months ago. Not by the woman I asked, but another woman who overheard it. At this point, with so many women my age looking for financiers instead of life partners, you need to let me know you want me to ask you out and that you are interested in me, not my bank account, or I’m just not making the effort any more.
I love everything you’re saying…except for one thing…with all due respect. I honestly find it very disheartening to be told over and over that I should not be picky and that looks are not everything. 🙄Granted, they’re not…but I take the upmost care of myself and at 49 years old I am healthy, fit and very youthful looking and I don’t think it is delusional or even shallow to hope for a partner who is equally fit, healthy and attractive. I made the mistake once to settle for someone who I was not at all attracted to physically but had all the qualities I was looking for in a husband. 8 years later, I was still not attracted to him, I grew to care deeply for him but never had passion for my husband, and our intimate life was just awful. He also turned out to be a covert narcissist, but that’s a different story… I swore to never EVER settle for someone I don’t have full chemistry with. No woman should have to compromise anything due to her age. Nobody wants to to find out later that their partner was not that attracted to them it’s incredibly hurtful. That’s my 2 ce, ts and I respect anyone who feels differently but I learned that lesson the hard way.
In the male dating sites….it sometimes says, never ask a fish how to catch a fish. I stopped calling a woman I really liked because she didn’t call back enough. Then I find out she was hurt we didn’t continue. Maybe someone told her to play too hard to get….both genders can pick up the phone and call. Kids age 20 play hard to get
I really took issue on several points on this article… I for one have been married twice and have been single for the past 20 years…I have grown into my thinking that going into a date or meet up with no expectations as it is human nature to find faults in why the person will not measure up… Celebrating the differences is how I have evolved into the opposite Neanderthal thinking of what my parents have taught me… I have the mindset of looking at me when things don’t work out with a woman and what I did wrong in that relationship so I don’t repeat the mistakes of my past… Im not interested in being married again but I am interested in finding a life partner who share similar interests and open to new experiences…. Im not asking to go sky diving with someone, although Ive been in the past but hey lets take a ride on a motorcycle and visit places we’ve have never seen before… I will be 60 on Jan 24th, 19 and believe the journey has just begun for me…. I welcome any comments positive or negative that will help further my view as I am a teacher and student of my life’s journey…. Peace Love and Respect to all….
hey for all you women perusal this article, as a man who has been married for 28 years and now separated, personally speaking,my opinion is anyone who remarries is a sucker for punishment, if it didn’t work out before why go thru it and be hurt again??? any women who thinks a man over 50 doesn’t know exactly what to say to get you under the covers is a foolish women!! we can and will say what you want to hear just to get you under the covers, an experienced man knows what you want to hear, every smart man who has been there and done it will not commit again because any smart man who has lost his money and kids and home the first time and does it again is a sucker for punishment also, as a man I would just want a companion to share some quality time with only, no girlfriend, no commitment, no where are you, why haven’t you called, why this, why that bs, that’s the biggest turn of for a man because that’s exactly what the ex wife used to do and that will remind us instantly of the ex, you women can’t avoid this if you expect a commitment from a man! I will never ever remarry any women even If she was younger and hot looking, no way, I will be faithful to a companion because that’s me, I have never cheated on my ex but I will never want or have a live in girlfriend especially a divorcee, the last thing any man wants is another man’s left overs, I might sound rude and if I am I’m sorry but it’s the truth, I’m being honest.there is a joke us men are all familiar with and it goes like this, what do you call a women who has lost 90 percent of her brain?
Wow! Not all women think your way chick!! I’m over 60, widowed, been ‘hanging out’ with an old friend. I didn’t want to get married, don’t want children (mine are grown), have my own house. All I wanted was a companion to share adventures with, hang out with, have dinner/lunch with, just spend time with. I don’t like to be ignored, figure a man doesn’t either. Your time is the most valuable thing you have to share, so if you care for someone share it. My list was & is short: someone to have adventures with, hang out with, get to know. Then a partner to grow old with, share our bodies & experience. With NO marriage requirements. I don’t get why women want to be totally helpless when totally honest works better. I don’t need a man to support, I don’t want one to support me. Help each other is great. Meet each other’s needs, be there for each other. If my friend wasn’t in a committed relationship of his choice, unwilling to release his ex, he’d be perfect. But… he is so I’m not. I’m not in kindergarten or high school, I’m not into games, just straight forward no BS is great!!! And yes I am a woman
You’re right about how men don’t realize they’re dominating the conversation. Sometimes a man does this because he’s trying to impress you and not because he’s all about himself. I do think sometimes they don’t ask women about themselves because they are mostly focused on what the woman looks like and he can already see that without asking. Women get so offended by this behavior including myself but I think it’s important to remember that men are different than women and don’t dismiss a man straight away because of the way nature made them.
You’re gorgeous and have some great ideas but I gotta say, men over 50 don’t necessarily ‘know what they want.’ We thought we knew and we can damn sure tell you what we don’t want, we can even act like we know what we want but it’s more of a hopeful ‘this is what I want’ or ‘I’ve narrowed it down to this.’ To be sure, we aren’t as clueless as when we were younger and personally, I have more swagger. The difference is, as a young man I thought I was this or that, now, I know who I am but knowing who I am is different than knowing, for certain, who I want. Lord I hope this makes sense. What I see is women my age okay fewer games ~ that’s refreshing.
#6 works both ways. There is a gal that I know could have some interest in me, but my life has been a complete disaster for the past 15 months and I’m really not interested in hearing about how much attention she has to devote to her dogs, one of which is in questionable health. I have times when I need someone to talk to (and I have nobody in my life for that support) and the second I walk in at her place the conversation immediately becomes about her and her dogs. She’s not been to my place yet, which is probably a good thing because it’s as much of a disaster as the rest of my life. But since she never shows interest in what’s happening with me, and I can’t get squeeze in 2 paragraphs an hour, #6 definitely applies for both.
Omg lady your your so genuine and real and a woman. thank you so much. I read some of the men comments below. clearly they are bitter, and old. how sad. it’s seems they really truly believe that there a viper in each one of us. lol. well I personally was a good wife, I could have got alimony I didn’t. I could have been richer I’m poorer, I could have been bitter, I’m not. I was a great wife, good mother. to this day he wishes he would have changed as much as I did for 27 years. we speak, we are civil. he wants to go back and have a do over. me too. not with him. I loved being a wife, mother and now a grandmother. I want to find a man to share my life with me and I’ll share his life with him. I don’t want him to change just to be loving and kind and hopefully I get my do over. this time with the right guy.
Paraphrasing your opener, men like women over 50 because they are coming into their own sense of power and hey have healthy boundaries. True, assuming that the man is mature, also understanding HIS power and also has healthy boundaries. But if he is immature or just acting like a horn dog, those great qualities in a woman won’t be attractive. (from a good man of honor)
As a man, marriage is not my goal anylonger. Avoiding it is, and for that I am legally protected (no contract I sign can bound me). I don’t even pursue interactions with women, more like avoid them. If a woman insists enough times and still can handle a NO, she can try buying me a meal. I would prefer to live and die alone and without a superficial legacy than make any effort to mate with them, let alone commit into a “relatioship”, marriage has no meaning to me: Been there, done that.
I go on a honeymoon every year for a week with 2 of my best female friends. Find someone you love TOO MUCH and never marry them. BAM If you find a mate that talks too much about exs and drama, no more dates. Men don’t chase any more as that’s just a game. We aren’t needy. Loosen up and say hi. Those are games for kids. SMH
Decent advice but as a 50 year old man I have to say it’s bad advice to use sex as a carrot. Any man worth anything won’t respond to that favourably. Higher value middle aged guys won’t pressure or push. We slow down too, but treating your V like it’s a prize to be earned goes against biological nature. You’re both two mature adults so just communicate honestly. Genuine desire cannot be manufactured.
I like when a women calls me. its NOT awkward at all. it lets me know as well that she has at least some interest. There are “mens” sites with the “coach” and her telling us if a woman doesn’t call its because she doesn’t want to hurt our feelings. That’s not the type of communication I need. I will call. As you said a man over 50 knows what he wants but he shouldnt lead somebody on if he isn’t interested. So if I know what I want then I know what I don’t and wont play a game. A women calling me is a VERY NICE change of pace for me. I appreciate your articles. But one thing I did learn from my younger years is NOT to chase. I would like to meet and mutually get to know someone. Chasing (depending on ones definition )is too much like a game. If we meet and enjoyed the conversation in getting to know them a little and I call, and there is a mindset of “playing hard to get” to help make a “chase” happen then im out. I did that as a younger man, not anymore.
I’m 52 and it seems like there is a real disconnect between what women say they want and what they do. All the relationship coaches on the female side talk about getting a guy to commit. Despite listing LTR as a goal on Match, I keep attracting women that seem addicted to their singlehood. Its like LTR just means they are a date not looking for a hook-up and miss the part about wanting to grow in other aspects of intimacy.
Hi Jaki. I am 73 and met a guy 58 six months ago today. He travels around as an auditor. We have tried seeing each other several times and it has not worked out. But I am the one who has to go where he is because i live in a very small town in Deep East Texas and he can not come to me. We have been texting and talking since June of last year when we met on line. Is it appropriate for me to text him if I have not heard from him in about a week. I am hearing different opinions about this. He says he wants a real relationship. There is more to this story but too long to go into on here. Don/t know if I should say something about it being a year since we met in person. Thanks.
A widower reached out to me on facebook. We live several states away so the distance would be a problem. I told him my age, 53 and I think he’s slightly younger even though he hasn’t told me his age. I laid out everything up front. He says he wants to meet a good woman to love the rest of his life and who will accept and love his son as their own. That’s a hard sell. I’ve never been married and never had children, so it would be difficult for me to totally change that way. My family who is controlling in a way is opposed to it. That has kept me from moving forward with these things.
Oh no, was in total agreement with you until the last one. Actually, I’m in agreement with number six also with the one exception of “asking for permission” to share a story. You probably didn’t mean it in the way I heard it but it did make me cringe when you said it. Otherwise, you hit the nail on the head.
After 15yrs doing the online dating, I can tell you the #1 error this author has failed to inform the audience….. Women want men to be employed. A job means $$$’s, and that means plenty of things and activities for you to do. Am I unreasonable? You bet!! I know what I’m looking for…. too bad she comes with the one thing I can’t give her.
recently, run across your, y tube website. just had my heart broken my a guy I, had been seeing for four months. i ‘m still processing it, and what I, could have done differently in the relationship. I cared for him very much. I feel I, was used for emotional and encouragement benefits . however, the sexual intimacy was reserve for his, other women. which I, found out through a series of misdirected text messages. the prospect of online dating gives me, a chill . tired of game prayers and manipulaters !
Sadly this relationship ended before it began. He decided he preferred his freedom, and his new motorbike, and how he wanted to tour the world, and re-live his lost youth. At my age I’m not looking for marriage, just a companion/friend, I’ve not been intimate with anyone for at least 10 yrs, up to him. I’ve given up on ever finding anyone.
CANT GET A ANSWER FROM NO website. CAN YOU HELP PLEASE???? I was endured (severely). Sex was concentual till he got tough and I was saying NO NO STOP. I did not report it or go the ER I am widowed and have 3 adult children I couldn’t tell them. I know it’s wrong now but that’s how I felt at the time. When I’m talking injured I’m talking ripped baaad. Of course it probably scar tissue now but sure I can’t satisfy a man sexually now. I know there’s other ways but my question how do I bring this up to a man?
Dating of 50, I have learned to be honest with women. I have always wanted to tell them that I have physical issues that are from my birth. I have been able to overcome much of it, where I have become well off financially, physically and spiritually. However I do have a serious issue that does effect sexuality. Should I be honest from the beginning?
Translation Rule#1 Don’t show feelings or compassion Rule#2 Play hard to get, don’t call him.( There aren’t SO many more good men. Call Him.) Rule#3 Sex is only good for men (bs), so withhold it like YOU are the prize, ladies. (Selfish) Rule#4 No comment Rule#5 (women don’t have to try for attention, so they usually aren’t very good at trying to flirt) Rule#6 Talk about you, talk about you, talk about you. Great advice
Good article. Especially the “dont be to picky”. Look f.e. at all the man who arent that tall. (Most woman want above 1.80 m). I dont totally agree with the advice about waiting with sex. Good advice for dating younger man. But you expect that the man adjust himself to you. But for a man intimacy and feeling secure comes after sex. So dont wait to long because older man know what they want and arent that patience anymore.
I’m 63 and a widower for 6 years. Would love to be back in a relationship with a woman my age or older. My one criteria, “Is She breathing”? Everything else can be discovered or worked out. Unfortunately, the criteria list I have to pass from any of today’s women, is 10 or 15 items long… and money is the top #1, and sex is off the table forever. Their own standards makes meeting women impossible today. And men aren’t willing to play their games. Did it when we were younger, won’t do it now. What do the WOMEN bring to the table ?
I made it 51 seconds in..ladies..I stopped dating 5 yrs ago..just be a friend w a guy you may like..don’t fall for any BS a “guru” will tell you!..we’re not teenagers any longer!..if it works it’ll fit like a puzzle after some time….patience is learned 😀 …I love life n having fun..the rest is just a hotdog from a convenient store!
On the comment you can’t chase a man; “There are no missed opportunities, God simply gives them to someone else”. It should be obvious that if you let an opportunity pass you by, it’s not magically chained to you. Is that what you’re going to do with your marriage? Wait for the man to make the first move as it’s crumbling and falling apart? I don’t know, maybe it takes two people making an effort.
What’s your best advice about getting your girlfriend back like it was? I’m over 50. I was going out with this sweet woman for 2 months, and it felt pretty good. We had great intimacy, nice meals together, a sense of humour here and there. One day, out of the blue, she texts me to end everything.. wow it hurt. I single for over 3 years before I met her, so I had my hopes up, I know, but I only have one freaking life, what are women doing today is criminal. I can have a fast car, a pretty home, running water 🙂 but if i don’t have a mate, well its the sickest game in town.
Thing is I haven’t dated in 10 years started dating last year, I started dating a particular man my age and he was very shy and attractive and said all the right things, he was married 30 years been divorced for 3 years etc. we continued to date he continued to contact me and then I decided I could go to his home and we were intimate and 10 months later we see each other on the weekend and we do dinner on Wednesday’s he texted me morning noon and night and we speak on the phone occasionally during the week ! He has three daughters and they are in there 20s and two of them live with his ex, he said he kids wanted him to date, he said his ex is remarried, I find out now 10 months later umm his ex is jealous of me and I haven’t met his kids yet ! I think I know why he seams afraid of the repercussions and I don’t believe anything is going on but wondering why she has so much control over him and biggest question is do I keep this relationship going the same or do I move on, I love him and he says he loves me but has no intention of us living together, we both have our own houses etc but ultimately I told him I wanted to have a life partner and he knows it but couldn’t even promise me anything
Suggest you add: don’t talk about money or expect him to buy stuff, consider going dutch at firs; 2) don’t be on cell phone, if get a call cut it short 2 minutes; 3) if don’t want sex, at least first few dates than dress conservative; 4) don’t act like a man and don’t be a feminist, if are that will show anyway; his manner and showing interest in you and your interest towards him will show to each other if respect exist; 5) when he talks just listen and be literal to apply the words he used; if didn’t hear, or it didn’t make sense, don’t fill in the blanks, immediately – TELL HIM your not sure what he said or meant, say in these words “I UNDERSTOOD YOU TO SAY . . ., then allow and accept HIS clarification. DROP whatever YOU understood, even if it was what he said. NEVER – TELL HIM WHAT HE SAID “tell what you understood” (big difference in the 2 ways). The correction is key. This is important. If you insist to tell him what he said and meant, this will result in problems. Realize we often error in the words; we say. Move on with the correction. Again, he can’t argue with what you understood; however, if you insist to tell him what he meant, while maybe he did use the wrong word while not his intended meaning; you are calling him a liar, insisting he meant what you understood. Over time, doing all you can to give him the benefit of the doubt, the situations will soon tell you if he is a WILLFULLY liar; 6) RESPECT, TRUST and COMMUNICATION are key to a relationship. If one or both can not: a) speak in pleasant tones, b) fully listen and allow other to fully express self and get to the point ASAP, c) allow the listener time to think upon what speaker just said before the speaker expects an answer from listener, because listener was really listening, not formulating what listener is going to say, and jump right in, when speaker takes breath before speaker had finished.
Many women over 50 or over 60 (depending on when the menopause happened) aren’t ‘sex ready’ due to vaginal atrophy (caused by lack of oestrogen). Though this can be treated with oestrogen cream and vaginal dilation, this takes time. So the guy has to wait for sex or turn the vaginal dilation into ‘fun’. This also requires an understaning guy who isn’t just looking for a quick jump in the sack, so is a great way for some of us to eliminate unsuitable men.
i have always disliked the rules based upon the sex of the person. why should men pay ? why should men do the calling ? etc. etc. i would like to see a more even-steven right across the board. and to be honest, my “rules” do not change based upon the age of the person. cuz i have few rules. just be yourself, dont use the other person, and dont let the other person use you. IT IS REALLY JUST THAT SIMPLE.
You have to tell these lady to also keep their body tight. So many rich older friends I have all have younger women because they live in the gym at their age but they say older women let their bodies go. Tell these ladies men are visual people. Your body is a temple don’t let the temple fall apart just because it was built 50 years ago.
Itsa case of dammed if you do Dammed if dont. If you dont tell the truth you are a (called) a liar. If you tell the truth you don’t get a date. The only good thing, in this vid, is don’t be so picky. Like if they’re a drunk or irresponsible fair enough. But owning an old car, by choice, ffs, what’s that all about.
Not sure I agree with all of this; seems old fashion very 1970’s thinking. Some of it is good, but most of it is very Misogynistic and gives all the power to the man. I say be you have fun, follow your true feelings and instincts, have no regrets. And if you want to see him again call him and ask and be open to a yes or a no, a polite no is the sign of a true gentleman and allows you to move on, rather then being strung along waiting and hoping. You at 50 are equally centered attractive and know what you want…
I’m sorry he has to be in good shape and great hair. I’m in good shape still at 60 and I’d be in great shape if I didn’t have a severe back injury. I have to be physically attracted or sex will never happen. Better to be alone than compromising physical attraction to what just a guy that’s Ok but ugggggg not attracted to them
All this advices about look ( face lift, silicone …), behaviour or acting are shallow and short lived. No one is getting more attractive with age – unfortunately. But there is one thing …. Most important part of women ( for man ) is her soul – on which women are seldom working or being advised…… There is nothing more rewarding then when two souls enjoy each other company……. then bodies just follow….
Notes: 6 rules for more than 50 years old of age dating: Genuine….put yourself first, know your boundaries 1. Don’t get into baggage, bring to the present…. talking about the past, what is going on today? Change the topic, move on….. Don’t overshare…. What did you learn in your first marriage, be positive. 2. Don’t call unless he calls you… They know what they want, you cannot chase a man. 3. Don’t have sex until you are ready. Until you have established what the relationship is. STD talk, health, future plans, have that talk. Worst feeling is FWB. Friends with benefits. 4. Stop being so picky. Find out 3 things you can appreciate about him…. Your types in the past have not worked out…so…… on time, talks nicely to waiter…pulled your chair out… looking at the energy…limits our possibilities…get to know him. 5. Flirt like a woman! Non verbal communication, too. Learning turns a man on. Use body language, smile, lean in, tuck hair behind ear to let them know you are listening….do it on a date!…….touch him, when he makes a comment……………. best flirt, to compliment him, compliment him on his work ethic, or that triathlon, you are like a rock star! show appreciation! You have it going on there! You still have it! 😎 Be generous with your compliments. 6. Let conversation flow, but make sure to let yourself get a word in …. if he’s talking too much you should lean forward and he’ll get the clue… Show genuine and honesty…
Women tend to say… My ex used to do this or my ex used to do that. Buzz kill. Live for the moment while you have someone who’s interested. Don’t kill it before it begins. (We can be patient for a few dates, but if you withhold sex for too long then you start to feel like just a friend.) If you haven’t figured him out by a month then the man is going to lose interest … no matter how good your qualities or how good looking you are. And I’m talking about five or six dates .. . and your acting like its your first relationship ever in your life. Be real.
This advise is not what guys over 50, responding to women over 50 want. Lets start with #2 Don’t call him. ???? If you don’t show interest, he’s not going to call you either, make the move to call him, if it’s a mistake you’ll find out with the call, if not, you’ve taken a good step. If he didn’t call you, it may not be a rejection, but a vibe that you weren’t interested. There’s nothing in any rule book that declares the Guy has to call you before a relationship proceeds. #3 SEX ??? Guys over 50 are less interested in starting a relationship where sex is the basis to start the relationship… like it was when you were younger. Sex is not a crime, or a bad thing, it’s a mutual bonding area in a relationship. Don’t use it as a tool to protect your innocence or whatever you value it as…. but use it as your intuition tells you. Guys at 50 are not putting notches in their bedpost. Remember … your over 50, you’re mature, responsible, you’ve been able to judge when you want to have sex, when and with who. Sex is one of the greatest sensory things that bond two people… don’t discount it’s value to you. But the advice NOT given here is probably more important…… KNOW WHAT YOU WANT IN A MAN. I am a good person with high morals, ethics, open car doors, seats my date etc…. Mostly if you say you want a good guy… your describing me. BUT those same women usually REALLY want a “Bad Boy” and never realize it consciously. Don’t be fake unless you want him to be fake. Be financially responsible, care for yourself, if you don’t how is he going to want to.
She should be giving men advice on women, not acting like she knows the ins and outs of being a man. She cannot tell you what a man thinks/feels/senses. She is using her own experience and applying that to all men, as if we are all the same. I had to turn it off 6 minutes in. Lots of general advice for women of all ages, but things change with age. First bad advice from her, “don’t call him”. If he asked you and its a call for a second date, then yes I agree. But there are plenty of guys who are single because they are terrible at the cold approach or insecure. These guys would very much appreciate you making the call if you are interested. I could go on, but people believe what ever they want to believe regardless. Good luck to everyone though.
OMG – Don’t call him and Don’t have sex UNTIL you know what his long term plan is for you???? Stopped perusal. Married twice and divorced twice – why would I want to get engaged? I’ve got money, have my own part time business that pays very well and love to travel and am active. I want a fricken girlfriend (and yes I will be exclusive were 50 for goodness sakes) – not another wife to order me around like a puppy. FYI – guys over 50….if you are at least a 6 (out of 10) you can part time date women in their late 30s and early 40s – no its not creepy – they like we are not crazy risk takers or loose cannons and usually own some stuff.
I am glad it only took 13 mins. Let me tell you the real deal. Unless a woman has had a great lover in her life for the former years, she is going to have some physical problems. That is one issue. The other thing is; I use to think that the older a woman is, the less drama she will have. NOT SO! It appears that the older a woman is the more screwed up her life has made her. Not all! The other thing is; they are either out of shape or hung up on some stupid diet and don’t exercise. The other thing is; men do not know how to sexually satisfy women in bed due to them not lasting long enough. Women need to know that the man she has chosen can make love to her as long as she likes. This cannot happen without the experience of a great lover being in her life. I say, a man can give a woman nothing but love. So if she does not have everything she needs by 50, expect for a man to love her, keep steppin’ – especially if you do not have the required sex skill set to satisfy her, she will be contentious and not know why. This is hidden and sealed from all who don’t know it.
Everyone has their opinion re this article over 50. Those who aren’t over 50 your day is coming. I am enjoying sex very much so! I’m 55 to be exact & dating younger 29, 30 and 38. Safe sex on top of that…I didn’t chase either they pursued me! But I would chase a guy why the hell not? If I dropped dead doing the horizontal with him so be it! What a way to go! If guys think women are easy cause we chase -what the hell do we call men who have 1 night stands and have their wallet taken?, lol! I still have my periods and don’t need any lubes to get me going. I’m sure my arid days are coming, but until then I say, “ride on girls” ! We are older, wiser not dumb and dead! Whether you want to be in a relationship or not we all have baggage in some cases trunks. It’s how we carry our baggage/trunks! Enjoy yourself -don’t criticize anyone for having or not having it over 50!!!
The 4 rule not to be picky so what about if the man income is one third of her income? What would you advise women ? Cause most problems is not about men high or belly the main problem is money.🤔🤑so women are very picky in this regard. They might love a man but his income low no no. No money no honey 😢
