Who is Jesse in The Perfect Marriage?
The Perfect Marriage is a thriller. It’s a mystery where it seems like Adam is innocent and the real killer is unknown. The book leads the reader astray with false clues. People are suspected of killing Kelly/Jenna, including her husband, Scott; Sarah’s legal assistant, Anne; and Jesse Hook, a customer at the restaurant where Kelly/Jenna worked. These clues distract from the real killer, Sarah, and lead to a surprising ending.
Who was the 3rd DNA in The Perfect Marriage?
Review: I couldn’t put this book down. Sarah is a lawyer married to a writer. Their marriage isn’t happy. Sarah is the breadwinner and Adam is still trying to become a writer. He has an affair with Kelly, who is married to an abusive cop. Adam comes back from the lakehouse and decides to leave Sarah until she’s ready for a baby. But then things change. Adam is accused of killing his mistress, and Sarah is his lawyer. We learn the mistress was pregnant. The sheriff was very suspicious. He was nice to Sarah one minute and mean the next. I was trying to figure out who killed Kelly. Was it her husband or Adam? Anne, Sarah’s assistant, took photos of Adam cheating but didn’t tell Sarah. Then there’s Bob, Kelly’s first husband’s brother. They got the third DNA from Kelly’s autopsy. It was the sheriff. 11 years later, Adam is about to be executed. Sarah visits him for the last time. Sarah and Bob killed Kelly and framed Adam. I didn’t see that coming. The characters were shallow and not very likeable. I still recommend it if you can get past that.

Is Yoo Ra pregnant in Perfect Marriage Revenge?
Take Yoo-Ras’s pregnancy. She’s carrying Se Hyeok’s baby, not Jung Wook’s. She thinks Jung Wook believes the baby is his, but I think he knows it’s not.
THE SHORT VERDICT: It’s a good, entertaining show, but you have to remember its background. Show is a solid B-grade makjang. It’s a makjang show, but not as extreme as some. Show is consistently paced and well-written, with an appealing contract marriage OTP. It’s watchable despite some rough edges.

It’s chilling how she predicted she would be in a “body bag” and her body is still missing. I can’t imagine how her daughter feel reading that letter. He’s so sick on how premeditated this murder was. He truly planned everything minute by minute. Let’s not forget he loves the water, search should be done near lakes, rivers, ocean !
It took me 30 years to escape my abuser. It took him shooting me to finally get free. The police would never help me. He was a social worker for our state and would always could find me through his licence and ability to to get into woman’s safety shelters for his other clients. Very abusive narrassist.
I think she is buried in the cement at the house where he was doing construction. I’ve always wondered why she didn’t have cameras at her house especially since she was terrified of him. So sad, her poor kids lost both parents and her mom is in her 80’s taking care of 5 kids that has got to be so hard. RIP Jennifer. On a side note, there is really nothing more peaceful than perusal kitties sleep. So adorable.
This happened to close to me! I’m from CT and lived in Torrington at the time. I remember it all over the news and the police not being able to find Jennifer. Everyone knew Fotis and his gf did it. Thank you sm for giving this case the light it deserves, I hope Jennifer’s remains are found and she is able to be put to rest for her children.
I have noticed that when the victim was involved in an AFFAIR Kendall tries to minimise it to protect the image of the victim but when the murderer has an AFFAIR it is emphasised. Very weird that you didn’t address the fact that they had an affair instead justifying the affair by saying she wanted a family so she ruined another family. 7:29
he marries jennifer within a month of splitting from his then-wife. he moves his new girl in as soon as his new wife leaves him with the intention to file for divorce. i’m sensing a trend here. knowing he’s done it at least the one time (to jennifer), is it really wise for the new woman to think he won’t do the same to her? if a guy tried cheating on his partner with me, even if i had feelings for him, i would run as far away as possible because, while of course i wouldn’t help someone cheat in the first place, who’s to say he wouldn’t then do the same thing TO me that he did WITH me? but then again, I’ve watched enough articles of this kind of thing that I’ve learned this lesson without having to experience it first-hand.
12:54 This part really hit home with me. I was married to a man who always had to win. If we went somewhere in separate vehicles, he would speed just to “win” the imaginary race home. I was unhappy, and my mom asked why i didn’t just leave him. I told her that if i did, he and his mother would use all her money and power to take my children. Well, that’s exactly what happened. It’s sad that money can buy a narcissistic, alcoholic with a felony DWI plus child engagement custody of a 4 and 6 yr old. (I didn’t know about the child endangerment til after i was married and pregnant). If i had been able to “win” in the divorce/ custody battle, i fear that i would have ended up disappearing. I hate that Jennifers children are now left with no parents all bc their father was a pos. It’s the children who truly suffer in these types of situations.
I’m so grateful to see you handle cases with such deep empathy for the victims and have consistently proven how much you care to do your research and are respectful towards the victim’s loved ones. When my friend’s sister vanished I tagged you in missing posters and you immediately used your platform to spread her face and her story. I’ve not forgotten this and will forever remain grateful to you.
It is shocking that such an intelligent man thought for one instance he would get away with this. Despite all of his planning he couldn’t have created more evidence against himself if he tried. His NPD must have made him believe in some twisted way the rules did not apply to him. He would have to know he would be the one and only suspect from the get go.
I live in Avon, so this case has always hit me a bit extra hard. There is a memorial set up for Jennifer on Avon Mountain Rd (which turns into Albany Ave once you pass the town line). It always has so many flowers & fresh flowers at that. It was overflowing with them following the recent Troconis trial. Thank you so much for revisiting this case & for donating to the GoFundMe.💜
You are the first person Kendall that made me say tonight, ok let’s find out about this tragedy. I watch a lot of True Crime, so I have to pick my battles. This one I left behind. Thanks Kendall for making this evil killing of Jennifer tolerable to listen to. You truly have a gift of walking that fine line of sharing something so horrific and still be so smooth and caring I am looking forward to part 2.
And last comment I really appreciate you for always donating to all of these charities for all of these people who didn’t deserve to lose their life. I’ve followed you for years and you are truly an amazing person and I thank you so much for what you do for all these families who have lost loved ones. I want to hug you!❤️
I worked at a car dealership and shop. Whenever there were any abnormal smells, such as gas, or a cleaning agent, the shop would get an unopened can of coffee, open it, and place it in the car with the windows open. Worked very well. Edit: I am just throwing this out here as a tip. I DO NOT mean it as any defense or anything of the sort.
Kendall just wanted to say you look SO good!! That outfit on you is so beautiful you wore it so well. I know a few episodes ago on your podcast The Sesh you opened up about having body issue struggles and just wanted to say you have always looked amazing, and seeing this outfit on you today looks like you’re so happy and I can tell you’ve been taking care of yourself!
I remember when you first covered this case so I was very interested in perusal. I always like how thorough you are and all the detail you give. That poor woman. How awful to build a life and family with someone to have them turn out to be such a monster and someone you’re afraid of 😢 I feel so bad for her children and her family and friends. He is so psychotic and narcissistic that he cannot even think of his children’s feelings or how this would traumatize them. And Michelle is just as bad. I will never ever understand women like her. Especially being a mother herself. Sickening. I am definitely looking forward to the second part. Have a great week! Hugs! 💖🌸
My gosh you’re so amazing. You tell everything so well and do this in such a respectful manner. I’ve been a fan for years (of all your websites 🤭) So nice of you to donate the money for the cadaver dog❤ love your website. I’m on the edge of my seat for episode 2, definitely perusal April 4th☺️ Love, Aleks
Hi Kendall. I’ve come to love your articles and look forward to the each one. You really put a lot of time and energy researching them and deliver these stories with tremendous compassion for the victims. (Thank you.) If you haven’t already, the Rey Rivera case is a very fascinating one and I know your commitment to quality research would do it justice. Sadly it is still an unsolved mystery. Much appreciation to you and to all you do! Cheers! 💜
Funny when you said that what attracted her to him, was the fact that he was ready to settle down. He had in fact already settled down with his wife, and she shouldn’t have been caught by surprise when he also cheated on her. Even though she was a home wrecker, she did not deserve to die. I do hope they find her body and sentence him and the mistress to life in prison.
I was expecting this article to go up tomorrow, so this was a very happy surprise! What always confuses me… is why, if you’re guilty, would you be doubling down on your “innocence’ in your suicide note. Obviously, it could be true, but this isn’t the first case I’ve seen or heard of where the suspect is OBVIOUSLY guilty, but then pushes the idea that they’re innocent just before taking their own lives. Wouldn’t it make more sense to absolve yourself of that guilt? Or is this some sort of extreme case of narcissism that persists even in death? I don’t know. I genuinely just don’t get it. But thank you for the update! And another great article.
People are fucking insane for saying “oh he cheated of course he would do it again” yeah and? He cheated, she divorced his ass and went to live her live. Some of you are INSANE to imply that cheating or being the “other woman” justify being murdered like this, she was a person, who made mistakes, who had FIVE of his children and was just living her life. She made mistakes but that doesn’t means she deserve to die because this fucking crazy man its a fucking child. RIP Jenifer and I hope her kids find some peace in their lives.
Love the necklace on you, that color looks great. Thank you for all you do! You are the only true crime I follow now, I really love how you actually talk about the victim and who they were/are as a person. I think a lot of people tend to forget that these are actual people whose lives have been altered.
I love your websites kendall!! And you, of course! Im just curious though, was there anything new added to this part? Ive seen this case covered on a few different websites and i dont recognize anything new. Im wonder why not just do the update article and tag the previous article in the description? Not that i mind getting 2 articles in 1 week. No hate, just curious
I grew up in Farmington and didn’t know for a really long time this was a national story. I thought it was just being covered locally. So glad this story got the attention it did. Can’t believe what happened to Jennifer. To be afraid of someone for so long and have those fears become reality is heartbreaking
To say how horrible he was for cheating on Jennifer with another women is so one sided and that shes the victim in that, when she did the very same thing to another women herself and broke another marriage up, really. Please give me a break with that BS. Its that victim mentality in those situations that piss me off and the lack of accountability that people take in those situations. If he cheated on his wife with you what makes you think hes not gonna do it to you.
Something important to note with the whole wedding being rushed, is that divorce can take a very long time, and they may have been together long before the marriage was officially ended with his other wife. They could have separated a year or two after his original wedding and he had been with Jennifer ever since.
This case is so disturbing, the lengths he went to in order to ” win” in his eyes is just sickening. That he could just destroy her life and take 5 kids mom away like it was nothing. I hope the kids and any other of her family/ friends are able to heal and live really happy lives. Also I just have to say Kendall you are so beautiful and you look stunning in this article🖤
You hear people say this a lot, but it really does feel so surreal when it’s a case that happened nearby you. I’m a photographer in Connecticut and I’ve photographed at Waveny Park many times, so to know that such obscene things happened right there where I photograph happy little families….ugh, it just feels so strange.
Oh MY! It took me a few minutes into perusal the article when I recognised her name and it all came back to me! I briefly remember this when it was in the news. My heart goes out to Jennifers family and her children! I can’t imagine how traumatising this must be for them, to not have a mum or dad. I am glad to hear that they are with their grandma. The fact that Fotis went to the selfish extremes of murdering just to get rid of her sickens me. I really do hope they find their remains. I look forward to the second part… I am mind blown perusal this and I hope they do find her remains 🙏
@54:40 What an amazingly kind and generous thing for you to do, Kendall. You (and Josh) are just good people.. down to your heart and soul. I’m so glad this is where your journey, your path through life took you. You are so meant to be here. ❤🙌 **And what tf kind of name is Fotis? Hearing it makes my skin crawl.. ickkk
I live in a very safe neighborhood but I’ve considered adding security cameras just to potentially be helpful to neighbors who might be in shit situations like this. Im so grateful CCTV and security cameras have come so far. Ugh. People suck. I’ll never understand how you can TAKE SOMEONES LIFE FROM THEM!!!! F this guy
my office (when I was still working on site) is located right across the street from the recycling plant where all the trash went. I remember going for a walk at lunch, which I did several times before, one day and seeing a whole bunch of state police vehicles in that area and didn’t know why until I found out about this. insane.
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this story. Obviously there is no reason to ever hurt somebody abuse. Someone murder. Someone cause their disappearance whatever. But this ladies is why you do not have an affair with a married man. You don’t give him a reason to leave his wife to be with you and it is only because she is missing deceased. Whatever why people are making excuses for her like oh she married him so quick because it was so important for her to start a family LMFAO like what? Okay so then you go start a family with someone who’s available. Not someone who’s already married Aunt. She has the audacity to act shocked whenever she starts to lose him how she got them which is to another woman. Why is everyone so shocked that he moved Michelle in right after she this one filed for divorce. That’s exactly what he did with her. That’s how he lives his life. But now everyone is trying to change the narrative because it ended hell it ended and she came up missing and murdered. Let’s just State the facts how they are. She was dating a married man. He left his wife for her and then started cheating on her and then moved on to another woman
History repeating itself. Husband cheated on the first wife to have an affair with Jennifer. Husband then cheated on the second wife, Jennifer to have an affair with the third. We shouldn’t sugar coat that. Jennifer didn’t have walk away from him once she knew he was married. For both of them to get married a month later when they hardly knew each other speaks volumes.
I really want to say that A. I love your hair, it’s beautiful and B. It would look so so good at shoulder length! I was listening while cleaning and not perusal but at 24:00 I looked and thought you cut it. I think it would look awesome on you!🤗💇🏽♀️ This story always hurts to hear! What a bright and warming person Jennifer was. I hope her kids are always reminded of their Moms loveliness.🙏
I recently watched another article about this case I believe from Beyond Evil. I’ll watch the same cases on different youtubers because sometimes you’ll get more or different information. One thing they mentioned that I didn’t see in this first part was that apparently Fotis’s house had multiple fireplaces going the day of or the day after the murder. It was stated that the weather was too warm to warrant that. So i feel that’s why they haven’t found her body. It’s possible they burnt it in the fireplaces. This case is so tragic. Those poor kids. I do hope they find her remains for that closure.
Hey Kendall, could you look into the case of a two year old girl from Serbia, her name was Danka Ilić. She went missing and now is believed to be dead. The case is really suspicious and people do not believe the killers that confessed are telling the full story. I sent a case suggestion but it doesn’t hurt to ask on multiple platforms…
People won’t believe this, but when someone is a cheater it gives you an insight to their character. It shows that they didn’t build an emotional connection to their previous partner. So much so, that they’re willing to hurt that other person. No regard shows little to no empathy or compassion. This is a tell-tale sign of sociopathy. The narcissism comes into play with the fact they their wants come before any consideration to the feelings/well-being of others. It’s not just the fact that if they cheat with you, they’ll cheat on you (though that’s true too) it’s the fact that you’re knowingly getting involved with someone who’s shown themselves to be too shallow to build deep emotional connections with others. What’s the point? Who wants to love someone who is incapable of returning that emotion.
So the saying goes…If he cheats with you, he will cheat on you. If he and Jennifer never technically cheated, he still allowed his first marriage to fall apart after connecting with Jennifer – marrying her a month after divorcing his wife is a crazy turnaround. So yes, he still pulled some bs and that behavior should definitely not be overlooked.
I think the reason he called 911 when she left and wouldn’t respond to his texts was to show her she had no choice but to respond or he would bring law enforcement into it. Making her feel compelled she had to respond to her texts. It was a control thing, in my opinion. Side bar: self-absorbed narcissists truly feel they can do what they want and won’t be held accountable. They never bother to pretend anything w police. It’s mind boggling but common.
This is the first case I’ve seen play out locally as an adult. 🤯 I remember when she went missing, when they charged him. Then when they pulled him from the garage on live drone news coverage !!! We are so happy with the detective work in CT on this one. We would have rioted if Michelle got away with being involved. Fotis is a true coward.
