Newton was born in 1725 in Wapping, a London suburb that traded with the sea. His father was a merchant ship captain who often went on long voyages. While his mother was away, Newton’s mother died of tuberculosis. He was then taken in by the Catlett family in Kent. His father remarried and Newton went to boarding school. My daddy named me and my brother Biblical names. He chose Grace for me because he said it meant unmerited favor. I never thought to ask him why he gave me Elaine for the middle name. He named my younger brother John Daniel – two Biblical names. I hated Grace as a younger person (74 y.o. now and it is popular) because at that time it was like a old woman’s name. Thank you Daddy in Heaven for the Christian upbringing and for my name. I will see you soon. 🙏🙏🙏
Amazing grace How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now I’m found Was blind, but now I see ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear And grace my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed My chains are gone I’ve been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood, His mercy rains Unending love, Amazing grace The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures My chains are gone I’ve been set free (been set free) My God, my Savior has ransomed me (ransomed me) And like a flood (like a flood) His mercy rains (mercy rains) Unending love, oh, Amazing grace The Earth shall soon dissolve like snow The sun forbear to shine But God, Who called me here below Will be forever mine My chains are gone I’ve been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood, His mercy rains Unending love, Amazing grace (grace) I once was lost, but now I’m found Was blind (was blind), but now (but now) I see
The anointing that the Holy Spirit has upon this man is tremendous and powerful. God is using him mightily here, and to this day everywhere he travels globally, ministering to everyone who is hearing him sing. Our precious Almighty Father has gifted Pastor Phipps with one of the greatest baritone voices I’ve heard in my life imho. I’m 53 years of age and a big fan of just about every genre of music and listened to many great vocalists male and female, this man has a near perfect operatic voice and the Lord is using it for Gospel glorifying and lifting up Christ, praise God for that. I sincerely could feel the Lord’s presence while listening, and really couldn’t imagine what it would be like to experience this live in such a beautiful concert hall with the best acoustics, must’ve been absolutely incredible. Glory to God in the highest and thank you for the blessings posting this and the opportunity to share my thoughts.
The interesting thing about John Newton is that when he heard this melody he was just as much of a slave as the people he was transporting. Later when he penned the song he had become free and devoted his life to helping free the slaves. Funny how once he was free he began to help free others in slavery and even today is still helping to free slaves. We are all slaves to sin until we gain the freedom through our Lord Jesus Christ and his Amazing Grace.
Wow, this man has the voice of angels!! I loved the history lesson too. So many folks dont like being reminded of their ancestors treachery which is why there are so many dislikes. Because anyone who wasnt moved by the power of his voice must have a heart of stone. Praise God for this glorious rendition!!
What a fantastic lesson in History. This version of Amazing grace is hair raising. Praise God Almighty for loving all His children and paying the price on Calvary to save us all. Let us strive to be like Jesus each moment of our lives, so we will live with Him in Heavenly bliss when we leave this world. God bless you my brother. God bless you all my sisters and brothers in Jesus Christ our Risen Lord.
I can’t hear that sound, without tears coming to my eyes. I am Brazilian, I am black, and thank God I dont have nothing to complain the life. And on some trips, where I had the opportunity to learn more about the history of our country, I came across this sad reality that blacks also lived, a long time ago in our country. I could feel in the soul, the pain they passed. I know that God (just as he was for the people of Israel) was the only hope for one new home. Where there would be no slavery, only freedom, and eternal freedom.
Guys I want to thank God I married my girlfriend 3days ago it’s the first wedding in our family and thank God we did it the right way,and am listening to this with my wife and sounds heavenly the glory goes to God. Its the first wedding in our clan actually, have actually edited this we now have a son 4 months now. Actually my wife’s dad and my dad both died after our wedding but am glad they witnessed our wedding and the first graduation in our family. God is just faithful. I will edit this for years to show people the faithfulness of God for future generations
What an awesome anointing upon the song, the man and the voice and talent God blessed him with. Whenever I listen to this it’s on full blast and I can feel the presence of the Lord increasing in my room and throughout our home and it leaves us with such a calm assurance and a peace that surpasses all understanding. Even when things are tough at home when we listen to this, wow! Even as I am typing this, I feel the beautiful presence of our saviour. As you listen may you experience the power of the living God, may he pour out his love into your heart and his peace into your soul. May you receive healing and deliverance from every foul spirit in the name of Jesus! Hallelujah! right now, in the name of Jesus! be loosened! Be set free from every spirit of addiction, adultery, fornication, perversion, pornography, a spirit of a foul mouth, every spirit of mental disorder in the mighty name of Jesus. Every spirit of depression and anxiety come out in Jesus’ name! We give you praise Father for you have completed the work by your Spirit, in the name of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen!
Wow, wow, wow. What a testimony for John Newton via brother Phipps. God is truly amazing. God can show us a lot if we only open up our hearts to His word. I do not understand slavery, never have, never will. Why our Father allowed this to happen we will never know. Perhaps He allowed it in order for the world to see that no matter what we do, no matter where we are, no matter the time of day, God is always with us. He was with those brothers and sisters and children on those slave ships. He was with them through all the torment and horror they suffered, but He never gave them more than they could tolerate. Hopefully in today’s world, the ones who still “own” people they call slaves will come to realize that slavery in any form is not the way God wants us to be.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now am found Was blind but now I see Was Grace that taught my heart to fear And Grace, my fears relieved How precious did that Grace appear The hour I first believed Through many dangers, toils and snares We have already come T’was Grace that brought us safe thus far And Grace will lead us home And Grace will lead us home Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found Was blind but now I see Was blind, but now I see
This is one of most talented artists ever ( Not just in my generation or in history of music but in History of World…..). to God and Him alone be the praise and Glory be forever! Amen! Forever love for years this beloved rendition! God has not as of yet ended the extent of his MerCy and Forgiveness ! May we all find our way to Merciful paths of forgiveness before it is sadly too less and too late!😊
Sometimes – when the whole Sonship returned to God….. and billions or trillions of Soul singing these hymns must be the most incredible most ecstatic touchiest Experience of unimaginable Togetherness, most extreme, yet totally redeemed Power, Freedom, Love & pure Goodness one could ever hope for…. 🤩🥰😊❤🙏

I teach guitar, piano and voice here in the Philippines to young people who have no financial capabilites to acquire special music lesson. I pray that God will touch someone’s heart to sponsor a guitar for the students. At present, we have 25 students in guitar discipline while 12 in piano. We only have 10 guitars so far. We need two electric piano (one for the student and one for the teacher). Thank you for reading this out. Thank You Lord God for the gift of music!
This is my go to song when I am feeling a bit lost. Why because it speaks to my soul, it is deep it carries a spiritual connection with the Almighty GOD and it strengthens the feeling within me knowing what the plight that those people had to endure and survived (some) They may kill the tree but the root will spring up again. Yes as the singer rightly mentioned, we are all connected. After all Humanity started where they took those people from.
Ouvindo em 24/04/2024. As 06:56H, desde Ponta Porã MS- Brasil.
I love the way that he explains all this: a lovely chap and he is 100% true. There are racist pressure groups today that want to set one against another. This man is true, so very true, and he connects directly with the love of God . Dear brothers and sisters, cross the the desert, the place of desolation, and make contact with the living God. See John 3:16. It is real and wonderful, and this man testifies to it.
Choose Life. Go to Heaven. Pray this out loud, with True Sincerity: “Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead as The Son of God. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.” – Welcome to The Family of God’s Children!
Sad, i’m still lost 🙁 living in a foreign country, come across racist and ignorant people, I swear a lot, I watch porn, I get angry, I smash my house up when i’m angry, yet, I really really do believe in our heavenly father and his son our saviour Jesus Christ. I’m along long way away from home and I really miss my family and friends whom are all very religious like I once was. I started off going to church here, reading my bible, praying every night till I could no longer control the things that were happening in my life in this foreign country. My wife was always making me angry and just doing things that are completely opposite to the way I was brought up. May God have mercy on my soul. but I will continue to try my best, to find that narrow path that only a few people find that leads to the door of his house.
Wow, what a commanding performance. It starts with musical history. It ends with the audience (and the viewer) singing at top of their lungs. The performance made you wish you were there. I have watched a lot of live concerts on YouTube. This is one, that I wished I had been there at that moment to experience what the audience experienced.
Chills, chills, & more chills! I absolutely LOVE how he delivered a little history class in a concise & tactful manner, all with “style & grace”❣ Behind every slavemaster were an abundance of great black warriors/black slaves! Our ancestors get all the credit! Thank you for reminding us how powerful & impactful the “Unknown” were. Mr. Whitney Philips you Rock! Happy Black History Month!
Today is November 11, 2017 – Remembrance Day – This article brought new knowledge to me and tears to my eyes as I thought of all the beautiful people who have lost their lives through mans inhumanity to man. WWI was hoped to be the last war fought, but we still must continue to strive for peace for all mankind. One person at a time can bring peace to those around them. Let that be me. Let that be we…
Did you know that one of the most iconic and popular hymns ever written, a song that everyone knows and sings at Major events and regularly at funerals and church services is actually a song written by a person who was communing with our Spirits whilst under the influence of Absinthe, the draught given us to inspire imagination and deep thought?\r It’s a song that has been sung and recorded by many great and popular artists. If you know the words of this song there is no direct reference to your God but it’s really a song of praise to our Gods of Nature, the world and all of their Glory.\r Have I given you enough hints?\r Many of the most well known love songs and hymns were inspired by the Spirits and brought forth through poets and songwriters within the dark hours.\r Now whenever you sing along or hum to the religious tunes you’ve grown up with you’re really, in essence, pleasing our God of the world. Blessed be.
Wow….just wow! What a voice and what a history lesson too. I’m not a religious man by any stretch but I do believe that all residents of this planet are put here as an equal regardless of their faith, colour, creed, religion etc. Providing of course that said people respect the beliefs of their fellow occupants…
It is Really deeply mind penetrating awareness of a person’s wrongdoing and repentance! If our modern world leaders, Politian’s and most rich people could be able to understand what they are doing to our lovely world and its creatures including we humans like John Newton, we could be able to save millions of innocent people’s life including mothers and children in our different parts of the world. Unfortunately, most of us became narcissists and lost empathy to others which is so scary! Maybe we could wakeup?!!! Thank you, dear artist Wintley Phipps!
I was born a Muslim in Iraq. I was worried and depressed, sitting and looking at the Tigris River in my city.Jesus’ face appeared to me in the water and told me. “Son, you’re not alone” And now I’m a Christian, and I pray every day at the edge of the river.Thank you Jesus for this grace. I’m not alone right now. Jesus is with me
Greatest man in history, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today🙏🏻. His name is Jesus.❤
My mom died today. As far as I can remember, and I’m 52 yo, she always requested to have this song played at her funeral. Tonight I weep and feel broken. I lost my best friend and confidante, my mommy. This pain is indescribable, but yet I am comforted that today she has seen the face of Jesus. Rest mom. I look forward to an eternal reunion. Pray for us and rest in the arms of our Lord. 🙏♥️
This is a beautiful song. Thank you. I recognize this Glass church at Palos Verdes, CA. I live nearby. It is a beautiful church, but it will be relocated from the place to a new location. There has been earthquakes and land slides happening in the area and 😢the building and the road have many cracks and needed to be closed. Two friends had funeral services at the church and it is sad to see it closed. This is a special article to keep for my friend’s memory. Thank you.
I am trying so hard to come back to my Lord and Savior to ask the Holy Ghost to enter my heart and, with his love and mercy, lead me back to the loving, grateful servant of God that my heart and every fiber of my being longs to be again. My chains are broken, and Satan is no longer welcome in my life. May the mercy of Jesus shine on me and all those who share my hope.
This was one of only request my Mom had for her celebration of life. My uncle took care of the ceremony and I had no say. This part was left out. As I cried her best friends friend stood up and began singing. She was a choir singer we all joined in and chills drained me. This has always been a powerful song for my family. My grandma sang it so beautiful when I was young. I’m not a religious person but I am still impacted by the meaning of this song. Especially through the eyes of loss.
I sang amazing grace at my father’s funeral. He passed away on October 3rd of this year. Battling cancer since the beginning of the year. I’ve lost the most important person in my life. And he loved my singing. I sang last year at my grandmothers funeral too. He broke down crying. And I’m glad I had the honor to sing at my dads funeral. In memory of my dad Roman 1967-2022
May God be with us all. He shall reign and rule over all, and conquer! His words of love and caring bring joy and happiness. He is comforting! This worship brings us into his presence and helps all of us calm down. Such greatness God has provided! Give him glory! He has payed the sacrifices of our sins!
My bff of 34 years passed away from cancer 2 days ago. As she was transitioning, she had a death rattle & I played this song, the rattle sound gone & her breath became calmer. The last 4 hours of her life, this song was on repeat. Her last breath was soft and peaceful. For the past two days I’ve been playing this song. I missed her so much.
My mom struggled with cancer for 7 years.. i got the privilege of caring for her for the last 2.5 years. when i was just 13 months old, i went into a 10day coma and nearly died.. My mom quit her job to stay home with me for the next 2.5 years to care for me night and day. Amazing Grace was her favorite song and it was sung at her funeral. This song reminds me of the connection i had with my best friend. My mom.
My prayer is that everyone who hears this will listen and think carefully about each line… it is the message of the only hope for humanity. ” This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:9-10

This song was played at my brother’s funeral a little over a year ago at his request. He loved the song and I’ve come to like it as well. It continues to bring me peace as the last 5 months of his life weren’t easy. Thank you, Pentatonix, for a way to remember my brother and remind me he is now in Heaven.
Expecting Mitch to go into his angelic high tones, not getting it… and yet… still completely blessed by his lower range, absolutely beatiful young man. The whole lot of all of you are a blessing to hear. Then Kevin hits us with his beautiful upper range… my final tensions melt away… thank you Lord for putting this group together to bless us mere mortals with this angelic host, here on Earth. And thank you, Pentatonix for praising our Lord with your voices, and sharing it with the rest of us. I feel blessed to get to hear it.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found Was blind, but now I see T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear And Grace, my fears relieved How precious did that Grace appear The hour I first believed Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come ‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far And Grace will lead me home When we’ve been here ten thousand years Bright shining as the sun We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’ve first begun Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found Was blind, but now I see
I’m not gonna lie. These past few months have been hard. Between Covid-19, historic movements and the presidential election, I’ve been really stressed out with life. This song was something that I really needed to hear during these times. Thank you @PTXofficial! I really needed this. I think I have the strength to continue on once again.
Can you imagine the humming of the slave ship coming from the belly of the slaves in the belly of the ship as God breaths out for this guy to write down how he was able to write down the words while feeling the love of God on that ship that changed that slave ship’s captain heart right their and then !! How sweet the sound within Holy Holy Holy is his name !!’
“I think the performers are the most enviable of men; privileged while mortals to honour God like angels and, for a few golden moments, to see spirit and flesh, delight and labour, skill and worship, the natural and the supernatural, all fused into that unity they would have had before the Fall.” – C.S. Lewis
God bless Pentatonix in your ministry of music. Awesome blending and harmony! Listening to your renditions ushers me into a space of reflection with awe about God’s Amazing Grace upon such a wretched sinner that I am. No matter what I would count as the good that I do comes only as a result of God within me; it is not of my own. To think or believe it is of myself would simply be self-righteousness, vainity and hypocritical, producing nothing more than “filthy rags.” Thank You Lord for guiding Pentatonix in the use of their gift for Your Glory, and thank You for Your Amazing Grace. Amen
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now I see. T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear. And Grace, my fears relieved. How precious did that Grace appear The hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come; ‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far and Grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me. His word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures.
I lost my son last year. He has eternal life with our lord and savior. Their light shines through me! My sons life mattered to me! The way I honor his life is through gods mercy, unending love 💕 and amazing grace! The four of you sound incredible together. Continue to Shine your light 💡 sending blessings to all of you. Mama bandz
Since when I was a boy, this song always me emotional. Regardless of what my life is going like. It reminds me of the rubbish we all keep hidden away, unresolved issues. We, humans I believe in general are amazing. All we cope with, yet we still fight the good fight. Love to all. Remember your brilliant.
I have listened to this song for a long time from PTX. Love you all. But a few hours ago. My Dad called me from overseas, telling me “your uncle just passed away”. He is the second oldest in my Dad’s family. My Mum just came from overseas in January and the first thing is your uncle is asking about you. When are you going to see him. And today I hear he is no longer with us. And I didn’t fulfil his one of his last wishes. It broke my heart and It’s happening now as I write. And the song just came to my head. Sorry everyone. Love Uncle. All love and respect to PTX.
16 months sober from Alcoholism. Praise to God and Jesus Christ. It’s so precious to be free from the shakes, the shame, the poverty. I’m so grateful. Now just to tackle smoking cigarettes 😞. So if anyone can pray for me to quit,I’d be SO grateful. Watched my mother die of lung cancer. I don’t wanna die like that. Please pray. I love you all 💛
This used to be my very “least” favorite song in the world. I hated the line about being a wretch…and it always sounded like a funeral march…in the most gloomy and negative way. But I asked my son to play Pentatonix version when he scatters my ashes under a mimosa tree he will plant for me in our back yard. This song sends my soul to heaven because it comes from a place of total victory and joy and prefect love and hope. They resurrected this song for me! I listen to it over and over again because it makes my soul soar home to God.
The greatest that ever lived; He had no servants, yet they called Him Master. He had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. He had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet Kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He had no crime, yet they crucified Him. He had no need, yet He forgave them as they mocked. He loves you so much He took the punishment of your sin. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. His name is Jesus Christ and He is the Saviour of the world.
This was my father’s favorite song, and he passed away one year ago . Oh, how I miss him so much but he is free. His chains are gone as he struggled with Alzheimer’s for many years. I’m thankful for the grace that Jesus offers us and that now my dad is healthy and whole. Thank you Jesus and thank you Pentatonix for this wonderful rendition of this song ❤️
It’s hard to take such a well known classic song like this that has been rooted in peoples minds and sung certain ways, and change the way it’s done, the way it sounds, and the way it feels and have it be not only just as beautiful as the original but even more beautiful. Once again you guys pulled it off to make a version I will love listening to for the rest of my life!
This group is what the culmination of years of music has brought us. As close to perfection as we will hear in this world. I hope they work through the inner conflicts in the band. I would like to see all of the original plus the new united. Each member new and old is a treasure. Please guys get it together, keep it together, you are all not a band but a natural heirloom. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!!
You are all so very talented. The way you arrange music is absolutely brilliant. As I’m listening to Amazing Grace, the beauty and feeling that all of you put into each and every song, brings tears to my eyes and makes my heart just feel like it’s going to burst. I look forward to what you all will bring to this world for a long, long time! Thank you!!
My mother died last year on Easter. She loved ‘Amazing Grace’ and this version when she was able to make it to Contemporary Service. I watched her face once when this song was being sung. She had such a look of peace and love and just a glow. In her 95 years she battled dementia, had had a stroke, leukemia, pacemaker and several other medical problems. This was one of the songs for her funeral. Her chains WERE gone. She had a new, perfect body. I still miss her but I know I will see her again on the other side of Heaven. Thank you for this.
After most of my like not knowing that I was high spectrum ASD, I have been diagnosed this year, thank you my merciful Maker oh mighty God! A huge cross that I don’t have to bear anymore! Imagine thinking your whole life that you must be defective because you operate a bit differently than most other people and you don’t know why. You try to I fit in, but most people either don’t understand, or don’t like you because you’re “weird”, “eccentric”, you get the drift. Then, after praying for years, the Lord answered me. I’m not defective, just wired differently! Praise the Good God, Holy Yeshua, Mother Mary, all the saints and angels!
Scott Hoying has grown into one of the best, most magical, amazing lead singers…a whole lot because he knows when to step back and harmonize, or sing bass. Dude could harmonize with fingernails on a chalkboard, I swear. May there always be a “Pentatonix”, and never a “Tetra-tonix”, or “Hexa-tonix”.
I can’t hear this song without tears spilling from my eyes. When my parents were killed in an auto accident in 2004, a piper played this song for their funeral, as he was a veteran of the US Army and a Minneapolis Police Officer. Having just completed my last Will & Testament, I’ve directed my wife to have your version of the song played at the end of my funeral service. May the Lord God bless you all for sharing your gifts with us with this angelic rendition, and may your Paths be the Light!
I used to listen to this a lot, but this is the first time I’ve listened to it since I became an atheist. It’s still beautiful, It still makes me cry tears of joy, and weirdly I think my appreciation for their vocal talent has deepened in an incredible way. You guys are an amazing grace to all ears😊
Such a Perfect blend of voices personalities and unison in choreography and perfect attitudes for song, Amazing Grace. I’m praying for your grupo for a deeper experience with God that is continuous until He takes you into places of blessings that you never imagined for yourselves AMEN! Did I tell you that I love love your versión of this song! To God be All the glory AMEN!!!
I don’t know why I’m crying. I suppose it’s a bit because of the music. A bit because of the strife within my country. A bit because of my own feelings of sadness. And a bit because of the hope the song brings to me. Regardless of who wins this election, they should reach out to Pentatonix to sing this at the next inauguration. Everyone who would hear it, from Liberal to Conservative, could take solace in it’s message and the diversity and acceptance the group stands for.
Years ago, when Chris Tomlin released this song, my dad and I both agreed that the only thing it was missing was a return to the chorus at the end because it felt abrupt. It needed to build back into the chorus and fade from there. He passed away from COVID a little under two months ago, and I came across your version of it today and it felt like my dad knew I needed to hear it. Thank you for this recording.
“Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.” 1 Chronicles 16:11 KJV “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:5-7 The beauty of the Lord is seen in His scriptures. The words of the Bible and the words of this song are so soothing.
My mother recently passed away of cancer and the holidays have never been harder. I have no friends or family left but listening to my mum’s favourite song by so many beautiful people with amazing voices only reminds me how beautiful life is and to not give in to ill thoughts. Thank you for this and may you all have. Happy Holidays.
Any time that anyone is praising my Lord Jesus Christ sends chills down my back! Thank you thank you thank you!! I have followed your group since the very beginning of your career’s. The heart & soul that you put in the music you sing is absolutely amazing. May God Bless you all and please continue singing and praising our Lord!!!!
I had a dream last night which feels more like a revelation now. My family and I were in some river and we saw all the mountains in a distance and around us begin to collapse .As we were trying to get the children out a voice kept telling me to listen to the lady’s verse in this song! I just did ! ” the earth shall soon dissolve like snow”. His coming is near.
God said ” Obedience is better/greater than sacrifice.” Jesus said “If you love me, do my commandments” and “go and sin no more.” If we need and desire to do God’s will, we have to study God’s word, The Bible, to find out what his will is, or is not. This song always reminds me of what Jesus did when he died on the cross for my/our sins. And of his soon return for His church before the final seven-year judgment of this planet takes place. In terms of a-cappella groups, Pentatonix is one of my favorites. They always manage to do justice to any song that they produce.
Awesome! I live in this community where all of the community comes to this place (In the community) and since we’re christian, we sing some songs and sometimes we sing this exact song! But not in a genre like you do even though you’re GREAT. And also I’m in a choir and before christmas break, we sung one of OUR songs! Which was “That’s christmas to me”. Which I LOVED!
That moment you see the nature of your sin and the real value of your life at the same time through the eyes of God, is the moment all your pre-conceived beliefs about who you thought you were, and what you believed about the world are shattered. It’s the moment you first believe The moment the veil of darkness is lifted off your eyes. The moment you understand The moment you are revealed out of the dark and into the light, Out of chains, and into Freedom, That is the moment you fall to your knees and repent in sorrow That is the moment you are born again. His Spirit enters into your heart and takes up permanent residence in your reborn and undefiled spirit, and you are sealed and delivered from the judgment to come. You will be His beloved son or daughter and inherit the Kingdom of God. But while you remain on earth, you turn away from the sins of the world, and follow your new Master. You become like the God you worship. Though you will stumble in sin many times over, as you grow in faith and spiritual maturity, you will abhor the sin that weighs you down. Sin becomes your enemy. You will be judged, mocked, scoffed at, and hated by the world, as Jesus was, but your heart will force you to see His righteousness and you will only want to run to Him like a child to a Father, for you will not know a better love than His. You will desire His righteousness over your happiness. You will naturally begin to bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit which are Love Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control.
