Is Black Veil Brides emo?

According to Wikipedia, Black Veil Brides is classified as an “emo” rock band. Not this stereotypical bullshit again. I passionately hate the term “emo” for anything, regardless if its referring to a person or music. Sadly, society often slaps on the “emo” label for my rock bands. This really pisses me off. I prefer to categorize my rock music as part of “scene” genre. My previous post elaborates on my strong disapproval of stereotyping in general. Stereotypes perpetuate a very close-minded perspective on life. Sorry for that slight rant.

Anyway back to my point. Alternative rock genre music has quite a wide spectrum in terms of sound. So this is why I had no idea what to expect with Black Veil Brides. I checked out some of this bands music videos on YouTube. Normally, I dont care to look up music videos. So this is speaking volumes about my level of intrigue in Black Veil Brides. “Heart of Fire” and “In The End” was my official introduction to the bands music. I wasnt expecting such an intense hard rock sound. The much heavier rock vibe of Black Veil Brides is drastically different from dark-wave pop/rock vibe of Andy Blacks The Shadow Side album. Out of all the rock bands I listen to, Black Veil Brides is pretty up there in hard rock vibes. Only my symphonic metal and nu-metal genre bands come close to this type of heavy hard rock sound. Its safe to say I enjoy variety inmy rock sub-genres.

It took me two to three days to get adjusted to the intensity of Black Veil Brides music. The drums, bass guitar, and two electric guitars offered a beautifully complex layering of sound in combination with Andys deep raspy vocals. This is literally the perfect combination. My ears were in love. I was hooked.

How old is Black Veil Brides?

Black Veil Brides is an American rock band based in Hollywood, California. The group formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is currently composed of lead vocalist Andy Biersack, rhythm guitarist and violinist Jinxx, lead guitarist Jake Pitts, drummer Christian CC Coma and bassist Lonny Eagleton. Black Veil Brides are known for their use of black makeup, body paint, tight black studded clothing, and long hair, which were all inspired by the stage personas of Kiss and Mötley Crüe, as well as other 1980s glam metal acts.1.

History. Formation and early years (2006–2009). Black Veil Brides were originally formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2006 by Andy Biersack (who went by the stage name Andy Six until 2011),2 Johnny Herold, and Phil Cennedella.1 Eventually, Andy relocated to Los Angeles, California.1 In early 2009, he formed a new band using the current Black Veil Brides name, with the lineup consisting of Biersack, guitarist Chris Hollywood, and drummer Sandra Alvarenga, who were soon joined by bassist Ashley Purdy and guitarist Pan the Gypsy; they signed with the independent label StandBy Records.13 Chris Hollywood and Pan the Gypsy later departed the band and were replaced by Jinxx and Jake Pitts.

Purdy also explained the meaning of the band name Black Veil Brides:

What does the black veil symbolize?

The veil is a symbol of secret sin. The piece of black cloth is a visible representation of the sins people hide from one another. The sins come between a person and the rest of the world.

What does veil of black mean?

Abstract: In The Souls of Black Folk, W.E.B. Du Bois said that black people were seen through a metaphorical “veil.” This veil had three parts: the skin, white people’s inability to see black people as Americans, and black people’s inability to see themselves outside of the labels white America has given them. This led to the feeling of “double consciousness,” where one’s identity is divided. As African Americans fought for equality, they had to reconcile their two identities to create a new one in America. Artists of the Harlem Renaissance created new art forms with progressive messages to uplift the race. William Grant Still (1895–1978) changed how blackness was portrayed on the operatic stage in his opera Blue Steel. Still shows mastery of form by presenting double consciousness in the interactions of three characters, Blue Steel, Venable, and Neola. This offers a new and complex reading of blackness. • If you do a little research you find it is the sign of the horns as well as the master of the second veil. Masonic signs can indicate more than one meaning or convey more than one message. Triple sixes covering one eye for instance. The use of the peace sign has completely different meaning when used by a master mason. As the character Sherlock Holmes said ” If you want to hide something place it in plain sight and no one will be the wiser. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle a Freemason understood the concept all too well

  • No; that hand in the jacket is a classic Masonic hand-sign, although they don’t usually have any fingers out of the jacket, so that does confuse this gesture. However, if he does it all the time, it can also mean that he obediently always makes those required hand signs and gestures that freemasons must do.

  • Ordinarily I would not believe his hand gesture meant anything, but I saw Police Chief Ticer of Loveland CO. use the same gesture when members of Town Hall were pressuring him to step down when he said “two times.” He did get an invite to become Chief of police somewhere in Arizona. The Town Council wanted him gone because two police thugs beat a Woman with dementia and dislocated her Arm. They also kept her locked in a closet for hours while they re-watched the police Cam. Austin Hopps And Daria Jalali were two of the sociopathic cops involved.

  • Prince Harry is kind and unassuming. In my own opinion, he would never assume such a hand signal as he is accused of doing. Queen Elizabeth loved Harry and favored him more because he loved her as much. No, Harry would not do anything like mysterious “hand signals”. Stop with the evil talk about him. He is suffering enough because of his marriage. Leave him alone. Pray for him. I am sure he is hurting and misses his brother William.

  • At that point in time he was a dsmn Royal and had been schooled in how to pose with other heads of State. These explanations just cover for his immaturity. I don’t care if he does not like or respect Trump. He was still a representative of the Monarchy. Could you imagine if someone was to pose like that with the Queen or now the King ??
