Does Victor marry Emily or Victoria?
Suddenly, Barkis, Victorias groom comes in and prepares to kill her, but he is identified by Emily as her murderer and ex-fiancé. Victor declares a sword fight with him, though Victor has a fork for a sword, giving Barkis an advantage. Before Victor could be stabbed, Emily stands in front of Barkis and tells him to get out. Victor, Victoria and Emily watch Barkis die from drinking the potion and the Land of the Dead citizens take him away. Barkis death then frees Victoria of her marriage to him, leaving her able to marry Victor. Victor, however, despite still loving Victoria, tells Emily he made a promise, but Emily told him he kept it by setting her free.
As a reward, she gives him back Victorias ring saying that she can do the same for him. Victor smiles, happy that hes marrying Victoria at last. He and Victoria watch Emily turn into a bunch of butterflies and fly into the moonlight.
Powers and Abilities. Like Emily, Victor is a great pianist, being able to play solemn to enthusiastic tones, both alone or along with other pianists. He also is an artist, judging by how well he draws the butterfly at the beginning.
During his fight at the church, Victor proves to be surprisingly competent at avoiding Barkis thrusts and even lands three separate hits on the man before being disarmed, all this while only having a fork as a weapon.
Is Victoria In love With Victor?
Personality. Victoria is for the most part shy and soft-spoken towards her parents. Despite shes a romantic as she wanted to marry for love and fell in love with Victor practically at first sight, Victoria is quiet and dutiful, not usually bringing attention to herself.
Due to her family situation, shes the type of person who would typically not speak up even when shes feeling miserable as evidenced by her silence both when Barkis Bittern marries her and when shes watching Victor Van Dort and Emilys wedding.
However, when the times call for it, Victoria shows a streak of bravery, determination and rebelliousness, as seen when she defies her parents and sneaks out of the Everglot mansion to try and find help for Victor. Even after that goes awry and shes sealed into her room, she tries to break her way out with a fireplace poker.
Who will Victor end up with?
Season 3 featured a lot of ups and downs, both romantic and otherwise, for Victor (Michael Cimino) and his friends, but by the end of the finale, the titular teen reunited with his first love Benji (George Sear) on the iconic ferris wheel. It was the culmination of three seasons of will-they-wont-they after Victor came out and Benji struggled with his sobriety, but at least for now, their love story got a happily ever after conclusion.
One of the really nice things about the finale is this sense of everythings going to be all right, executive producer Brian Tanen tells EW. Were launching these kids into the world, they have journeys that are complete, but also life happens and things may not be perfect, but these kids have grown up with the tools they need to process relationship problems and come through them on the other side. Victor now feels like a really mature and actualized person, so my expectation is hes now going to have a successful college career and end up doing something he loves. Hes knows who he is, and he really did not at the beginning of the show.
Below, the stars and producers of Love, Victor break down that beautiful and perfect series finale ending and more.
What happens to Emily after Corpse Bride?
Barkis killed Emily because he wanted her familys money and desired social status, which he could achieve through marrying Victoria. Emily turned into butterflies and departed to a different afterlife after giving Victor his wedding ring back, symbolizing her freedom and release from her vow.
Why did Emily not marry Victor?
Emily is willing to give her whole heart (even literally) to those she cares for, and would even sacrifice her own happiness even after to help them, as evidenced when she stops Victor Van Dort from killing himself, then willingly steps aside and lets Victoria be with him. She‘s usually a kind person, but she was encouraged highly to marry Victor. (despite the fact that he was alive and she was dead). She was very jealous of Victoria and began to lament about being dead as she believed Victor didnt love her because she wasnt alive, showing that she gets upset easily. She originally intended to marry Victor, even though it meant she was (unknowingly) stealing Victoria Everglots happiness Barkis Bittern stole from her years ago. However, she learns not to use her emotions for selfish reasons, since she saw how depressed Victoria was and saved her from her marriage to Barkis (which would have led to Victoria suffering the same fate as Emily). She then learns that she cant steal another persons happiness just so she can achieve her own and ultimately decides to stop her wedding with Victor (the goal she has been trying to achieve for the majority of the film) so he and Victoria can achieve happiness. She takes off her wedding ring, gives it back to Victor, tosses her bouquet and leaves the church. Her purpose being fulfilled, Emily turns into a million butterflies and descends into the moonlight implying that shes now at peace.
Biography. Emily was the daughter of an unspecified wealthy Victorian era family. Apparently, she had a high education regarding arts related with music, since she surprised Victor with her piano skills. She was also regarded as a beauty known for miles around, which hints that she may have had a lot of suitors.
Emily met Lord Barkis Bittern, a poor yet charming man who she fell deeply in love with, but her parents (Her English father & French mother) didnt approve of due his lack of fortune. When Barkis was rejected her hand in marriage by her parents, he convinced her to elope with him using his charm. They agreed to meet under the cover of night at 3 AM under an old oak tree out in the woods. On that foggy night, Emily snuck out wearing her mothers wedding dress and carried a small fortune (a gold satchel filled with the family jewels) with her, the last at Lord Barkis request. Unbeknownst to the young lady, her groom-to-be had only proposed to steal her familys fortune.

Who did Victor end up with in Corpse Bride?
Barkis mockingly toasts Emily for dying unwed and unwittingly drinks the poison that Victor nearly took, causing him to die and allowing the dead – who cannot interfere in the affairs of the living – to take retribution against him for his crimes. Emily, now freed from her torment, frees Victor of his vow to marry her and returns his ring, allowing him to marry Victoria, whom she throws her wedding bouquet to. As she steps into the moonlight, she fades away into hundreds of butterflies and flies into the sky, finding peace, as Victor and Victoria watch and embrace.
Did Victor ever love Emily?
Background. Emily was once a beautiful young woman born into an extremely wealthy family. One day, she met a charming, handsome man, and wished to marry him, but her parents didnt approve of the marriage. Emily and the mysterious man made a plan to elope. So she stole her moms wedding dress, her family jewels and some gold, and she and the man planned to meet at the old oak nearthe cemetary. Emily waited until the man finally showed, but he wound up murdering Emily for herjewels and gold as he never really loved her and was only marrying her for her familys wealth. Emily then found herself in the Land of the Dead, and vowed not to come back until she met her true love.
Role in Corpse Bride. After the shy, clumsy Victor ruins the wedding rehearsal and is scolded by Pastor Galswells, he flees and practices his wedding vows in the nearby forest, placing the wedding ring on a nearby upturned tree root.
The root turns out to be the finger of an undead girl in a tattered bridal gown, who rises from the grave claiming that she is now Victors wife. Spirited away to the surprisingly festive Land of the Dead, the bewildered Victor learns the story of Emily, his new bride, murdered years ago on the night of her secret elopement.
Who does Victor marry in the end?
While in the land of the dead, he learned Victoria was already with someone else, and he couldnt understand how she could do that to him. This influenced his decision to marry Emily by sacrificing his life. In the end, though he might have married Emily in Corpse Bride, his heart was first with Victoria. Emilys decision to let Victor go in the final scenes of the movie was definitely the right one for all three of them.
