Why Isnt Fred Savage In The Princess Bride Reunion?

Fred Savage, who played The Grandson in the 80s cult classic The Princess Bride, was absent from a virtual reunion of the cast on September 13, 2020. The cast reunited for a fundraiser for the Wisconsin Democrats, with director Rob Reiner and actors Cary Elwes and Ryan Reynolds as the main guests. Fred’s absence was due to his younger brother Ben’s birthday, which he was unable to attend.

The reunion featured a framing story where a grandfather reads a favorite book to his sick grandson, Fred Savage. The book, The Princess Bride by S. Morgenstern, is about the most beautiful woman. Savage was part of the recent Quibi reunion and also reprised his role for the Once Upon a Deadpool trailer in late 2018.

Sources close to the actor confirm that he was in the loop about the Zoom reunion but was unable to participate because he was celebrating his younger brother Ben’s birthday. The Virtual Princess Bride Reunion drew around 100,000 viewers, and the Once Upon a Deadpool trailer teases the PG-13 movie with a fun Princess Bride twist, including an appearance by Fred Savage himself.

Fred Savage’s absence from the reunion raises questions about his political leanings and his involvement in the film. He believes family comes first and that his role in The Princess Bride remains iconic.

Did Danny DeVito like It’s Always Sunny?

Danny DeVito has been in the boundary-pushing comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia for years. He was the last main cast member to join the gang. DeVito joined the series in season two and has been in nearly every episode since. He plays the father of Dennis and Dee Reynolds, but that’s not clear. The series was not very popular at first, and the other actors were not well known. How did a big star like DeVito get on a show like Sunny? The comedian was a fan of the sitcom from the start, but he still had one condition before signing on. DeVito met the Sunny cast through Emmy-nominated producer John Landgraf. Landgraf produced the hit comedy series Reno 911! and was CEO of FX, the network behind Sunny, when the show first began. At Jersey Films, I worked with John Landgraf because he was at NBC. I needed somebody to run my television department, the actor recalled on The Always Sunny Podcast. He came to work with me at Jersey Films. That was years ago. Then it all fell apart. Then he got a job at FX. Landgraf connected DeVito with the Sunny crew. DeVito called me. He said, I just did this show, eight episodes of some crazy show. What do you think? He sent me the eight episodes.

Who was removed as a Disney Princess?

The Disney Princess line-up included Snow White, Cinderella, Tinker Bell, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Esmeralda, and Mulan. Esmeralda was removed soon after. Tinker Bell was also removed; she would go on to headline Disney Fairies. This was the first time the characters were marketed in a separate franchise. Mooney decided that the princesses shouldn’t look at each other in ads to keep their stories separate. Each stares off in a different direction.

Mooney and his team launched the Disney Princess line without focus groups or marketing. By 2012, Disney Consumer Products (DCP) had made $3 billion, making it the top seller of consumer entertainment products globally. DCP licensed princess products to Hasbro, Mattel, and Fisher-Price in 2000. This helped the franchise make $1 billion in revenue in three years. Tiana became the ninth Disney Princess in 2010. Her coronation was at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Tinker Bell was already in charge of another franchise, Disney Fairies, starting in 2005.

  • I CANNOT BELIEVE those allegations that were brought up against him.!!! No way!!! He’s a great actor. I think I’ve seen most every thing he’s been in and I’ve enjoyed him in those roles. Danika McKellar, who played his on screen love Winnie on the Wonder Years mainly works on Hallmark movies, so I wonder if she’s had problems with being stereotyped. I just adore her. She’s a great actor too. The Wonder Years was just a great wholesome show!
